841  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The Indian government is worried that cryptocurrencies may destabilise the rupee on: February 07, 2019, 05:44:25 AM
It is highly unlikely for present Indian government will do anything that give any legality to the bitcoin. The  government is currently more worried about the black money and I guess there might be internal fear in government might be black money be converted to Bitcoin.
842  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Will Be The Native Cryptocurrency, Says Twitter CEO on: February 07, 2019, 05:33:24 AM
Bitcoin will act as a global currency and it will be specially useful for all the organization that have reach/businesses in multiple countries.
Good to know about the views of twitter CEO and waiting for a day when Google CEO also embrace bitcoin.
843  Economy / Reputation / Re: Should projects that knowingly employ proven untrustworthy individuals be viewed on: February 06, 2019, 04:47:52 PM
@OP, I was busy for couple of days, did some kind of truce happened between you and DT.

Just wondering if a known scammer started advertising a project then will you tag the project ?
If project denied that there is no deal between their project and scammer and scammer is doing on it's own?

What if deal is happened in private?

If we are going to tag by this logic might their competitor employs scammer to advertise for the legit project so that competition can be destroyed.

I think project need to evaluated first instead of who is advertising it for giving the tags

I have a wallet thanks for your advice i will do it

Just curious, what type of wallet do yo have? Do you have the private keys of the wallet?
Do not consider exchange or Web wallets as secure wallets.
845  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: HOW TO KEEP YOUR TOPIC ON TRENDING ??? on: February 04, 2019, 06:06:16 PM
I guess you deserve a merit for humor and you need to do research why writing in capslock is not a netiquette.
It feels to me that this forum is not suitable for you.( Read/understand  vice versa )

847  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin = Nerd money or not? on: February 04, 2019, 11:38:05 AM
People are still more comfortable in using paypay or fiat then bitcoin. Many of the user have bitcoin not for spending or using it but as an assets. Most of my friends have their bitcoins "safe" in their coinbase account.
They have no idea where they can use their bitcoins apart from sending and buying from exchange.
848  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Blokchain for tracking bullets and guns. on: February 04, 2019, 11:30:16 AM
If the company is created for the soul purpose of promoting trafficking only?
Even the company is legit but how blockchain record of a bullet or arms can stop trafficking? If somebody stole from their inventory and sold in gray market? They are still lethal whether blockchain have their record or not.
849  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What if designer handbags were 80% off? Your gf would... on: February 04, 2019, 11:14:06 AM
There is some kind of assurance with us that after sale period is over then bag will be marked at full cost but here nobody can give you that assurance. Might be you can see 90% discount too.
Bag will be used and no body is purchasing the bag so that they lock under in store for next 10 year and with crypto everything speculative. People are using less but hodling more.
850  Economy / Economics / Re: Why Palm Beach Confidential is very Similar to Casey Research? on: February 04, 2019, 11:07:13 AM
Why do not you search it yourself? It is hilarious that you spent $3500 and you did not check any references if they are related.  I used to have palm Beach news letter earlier and I know Doug Casey is related to palm Beach and my  siple search also show that they are related.
851  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Crypto Advertising? on: February 04, 2019, 10:41:59 AM
I guess you got lot of suggestions here for places whether you can advertise. But before advertising the first thing that is needed to taken care is to find out where is your target audience lies( off course, I assume you have created a good product). Whether it more on Reddit or in Bitcointalk or so on. Secondly, make yourself aware of the platform before advertising in it. If require, hire some professional.
852  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Please register/login before buy/sell anything from Bitcointalk forum. on: February 04, 2019, 10:30:05 AM
Actually I feel it stupid to put a blind eye to safe trading practice and instead put faith in system like "Trust".  When Theymos himself encouraging not to use default trust and this topic is a step backward.

@OP, How the user is protected , if the  some user decided to scam for very first time?
853  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: 773M Emails Hacked on: February 04, 2019, 10:19:20 AM
I written in some other topic earlier too, best security is changing the password regularly. Even if your password is hacked you still be safe as your password is already changed.
Change the password of your email into the stronger one, using the combination of caps number and symbol, it would be more secure.

The problem with numbers, special symbols, uppercase letters and other techniques is that people strongly tend to do it in predictable way, like putting numbers in the end, capital letters at the beggining, etc. If you have a really short password that is based on some popular word, it might get cracked pretty fast, even if it has numbers and special symbols. Those types of passwords are usually very hard to remember, and you can get a lot of trouble if it's your main email with no methods of resetting your password. The better approach is to use very long passwords with normal words, if you don't use a password manager, or just random strings if you do.

I agree, more character is better.  Majority people have misconception that strong password are one that are difficult to remember but it is not the case.
854  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🔥🚀 NanoGames.io - Social Gambling | Play with Nano, Bitcoin and Ethereum 🔥🚀 on: February 04, 2019, 03:28:20 AM
Is all the game are already available in the site? I did not created any login but did not able to find the games. If you are allowing free version then you should allow the user to play in guest mode without any login.

Gone through your reddit post. It's true that all the hype is lost and people are susceptible to the crypto's now.

Any way, Success and making money in business is a very different ballgame then development so I think we can remain patient about it.
Just read a article few days ago and come to know that initial days of Amazon was also not very profitable.

858  Other / Meta / Re: 250 profiles merited (by me) in 1 hour and 2 minutes – What’s got over me? on: February 03, 2019, 06:59:23 PM
Oh, I thought that you might be reading so old post in B&H board when I received merit for that post . After reading OP it just made realized that there is indeed a very long gap since I last received  merit from you.

You have no need to justify yourself because you are clearly  following the below directive from theymos

It's best if sources try to exhaust their source allocations, even if it means giving posts higher amounts than is typical. If you have 150 source merit and you only see 3 merit-worthy posts in a month, then I'd rather you over-give each of them 50 merit than let the merit expire. That way there are more people capable of sending merit, and the "merit economy" is less top-down.

----snipped----
I appreciate the work of you and other sources who take it seriously!

This is an eccentric but efficient way to offload available smerits. And as you've previously merited the posts in question, you are sure it is up to your standards of deserving posts. And depending on how many merits users has racked up in the interval, you can check the growth of the account.

For me it is at least  the gap of more than 174+, because I was member having less than 100 Merits at that time.
859  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Worried about quality posting, this may help on: February 03, 2019, 06:06:39 PM
- Always read something from the Meta and Bitcoin discussion boards from time to time- you'll find out what the forum doesn't need and what it needs there.
Meta is more of discussion of current issue in forum and Bitcoin Discussion is also spam infested. I have no idea how reading in meta helps in learning.

- Don't try learning from the boards with high volume posts (Altcoin discussion to be specific)- you may find so many repeated posts and suggestions and also there are few posts there that educate you.

- Read from boards with less volume, you find adequate analysis of issues there from the indigenous forum members.

Read whatever interest you and learn how to filter content.

- Assess yourself from the type of people replying your posts and the type of messages they send (if you find members of higher ranks replying and analysing your posts, trust me you're making quality posts)- don't think having less merits is because you're not posting "sensibly."

You should not be blind to rank but you should crosscheck the fact whenever in doubt.
860  Other / Off-topic / Re: Protecting your email is of great importance on: February 03, 2019, 05:53:19 PM
I think if you change your password you can write it down in a dairy or any where else for future reference so as not to unknowingly block yourself out

you should use another email or your phone no added  as a recovery method. This will help you to get access in case you forget the password of your email. As a security measure change the password monthly.
Use simple to remember but effective and strong password like "Earth7_Mars2` . This paasword has 3 special character,2 numeric character and 2  capital letter with overall length of 14 and it is very simple to remember. Increase length of password to make it more secure.

Last but not the least,  do not share your password.
