841  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How do you sell a million dollars bag of crypto? Would you trust exchanges? on: November 07, 2019, 04:40:13 PM
I would start with a partial amount and then proceed gradually rather than doing it once and there is no doubt I would prefer Binance over any other exchange in this world as it has managed similar transactions in the past and a reputed exchange. I had a disputed transaction and Binance support really helped me in retrieving it so based on my experience I would go for Binance.
842  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are ICOs really DEAD or simply cleared a path for better projects? on: November 07, 2019, 04:33:41 PM
Yeah, your graph is something correct but i do not think still now ICO's failed ratio is going zero or something like that. But in these current market ICO projects are very rare even some few ongoing but those are almost dead because they can't collect enough fund to build up their projects. But most provably in this year ICO's will be totally dead. IEO is also going something slowly but most of the projects IEO with shit or small exchanges.

Yes I think the concept of ICOs are almost dead because of the failure rate and the greedness of developers who either list the projects in shifty exchanges or else they just run away with money and I don't think ICOs will ever gain trust from investors.
843  Economy / Speculation / Re: 6 Months of Missed Opportunities in Bitcoin!!! on: November 07, 2019, 04:10:37 PM

~snip~

I make crypto fundamental analysis to identify the speculation in crypto. This is the past 6 months of data with the long and short opportunities. The speculation is easy to see in crypto when you know the creation cost.

I offer subscriptions to my analysis here:

https://www.amsinger.org/subscriptions

I want more people to use my analysis and understand crypto better and better!

Use the code TALK to get 20% off any sub.

Aaron

Let me know if you have any questions!

Edit: see my complete analysis here:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5198724.new#new

The analysis seems too good. There were many missed opportunities missed in the past but still there is time for general public to invest in Bitcoin as the time of block reward halving is pretty near and when it comes then definitely there will be a price surge as expected by most people here.

Price surges cannot sustain if there's no numerous adoption, same with what happened later in the midst of end days of October. Many speculations came out here in different threads, but it didn't confirm the reality of what the situations are. The market didn't perform commendably after certain spikes had bounced, because after $10K surge it immediately crashes down to $9000 level and now fearing to touch back at last hit.

I know market has been as it was expected because of there has been quick dump after every pump like how it was dropped from from 13k as everyone though it will boom again but it failed, even the value of 10k didn't last but this does not mean that the market will always be bearish. I am sure there will be some good days ahead looking at the trend and global events.
844  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: The best way to buy and sell bitcoin on: November 07, 2019, 03:41:12 PM
What is the best way to  buy/sell bitcoin with fiat with lowest fees?
I tired localbitcoin and paxfull both has high fees.
Is there any other methods.

It depends on the volume which you buy or sell, I am not sure about paxfull but localbitcoin is a reasonable as I have been using it for a long time and it's more secure than any other buy/sell platform. There is a fixed amount of transaction fee which looks more while trading small amount but looks reasonable if trading high value. If you are looking for something much cost effective then go for any local exchange based in your location post verifying it.
845  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin using or need! Vs stable coins on: November 07, 2019, 03:23:18 PM
I think bitcoin is only used if needed, meaning its use is not an obligation and bitcoin can be said as an alternative payment that can provide convenience when making transactions and payments will be easier, whereas for bitcoin prices will never be stable because of the influence of very limited supply and demand that is very high will always provide price movements so I think bitcoin is still inferior to stable coins.

But again stable coins will be of no use without the existence of bitcoin and it's wrong to say bitcoin inferior to stablecoins as there would had been no stablecoin without bitcoin. The only purpose off stable coin is to covert the other cryptos and store when the market down or for traders to covert cryptos during volatile situations to avoid risking.
846  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Good ICO Review Sites on: November 07, 2019, 02:05:20 PM
Hello guys !
I was just looking around and theres so many garbage repost websites outthere about different ICOs.  I wanted to know if theres one that you know doesn't present every idea as great. A very critical good Review site that tends to get it right you know. anyway thanks appreciate your input.

Just forget about those ICO ranking sites they are biased and gives good rating for even scam projects and doing our own research will be advisable as these sites cannot be trusted anymore as there are numerous sites out there in the market. I have personally been part of some bounties which were rated good by these sites which turned out to be scam.
847  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How we can introduce bitcoin to local people on: November 07, 2019, 01:54:19 PM
For me, consistently talking and organizing free public lecturers about Bitcoin has helped me greatly in introducing cryptocurrency to local people. But, I'll advice that while you're at it, be sure to let them know about the volatility and uncertainties that comes with investing in bitcoins. That way no one blames you when price goes south.

I am not sure if organizing free public lectures will be possible for everyone because there are still so many countries which are hostile towards bitcoin I rather prefer introducing it to my friends and families gradually they would do the same. As you said I clearly advise them about both the positive and negative side of it to them.
848  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Tron Price Prediction on: November 07, 2019, 10:21:51 AM
Tron has captured the attention of many people including investors, many news like that will increase in time due to partnering with several companies, to achieve tron rise above the price of $ 0.2 is still widely predicted but it is clear that currently still in the process of increasing, many investors glancing at the tron because for the long term.

TRON is the only option available to us for a long term investment wherein it's priced at the rock bottom and it might reach moon anytime and since few weeks it's gaining more attention not only from the investors but also from the traders and indivifuals who wants to try their luck by investing into TRON , I think this is the perfect time to go for it.
849  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: More time as a newbie on: November 07, 2019, 09:48:32 AM
The newer 'merit' system means you will be spending likely more time as a newbie.  Previously it was possible to rank up to Jr. Member and then to regular Member status in a matter of several months depending on how active you were.  Now it could take longer than that.  This should be good for the forum as it will bring less spam, low quality posts.

Well, that's true as we will not be getting to see one word posts which newbies used to do earlier to climb up the ladder of ranking system as they have to earn their merits with useful posts or services in order to grow. I appreciate your post as being a newbie you have posted this, If you looks around the forum there are many newbie are earning merits with their posts which helps the forum.
850  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What is your next stop for DX token? on: November 07, 2019, 09:35:28 AM
Now DX already hit 0.00000011BTC. What do you suggest for the next stop? If bought in recently, enjoy while it last.

I just checked their site and growth after reading your post and it has pumped up by 27.81% recently and seems like this token is going wild but I am not too sure about the longer run but as of now it's a good coin to invest for a quick profit. as it has increased by 90% in last 14 days which is definitely makes it a favorite for short term investment.
851  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 190 Indian Banks Raided in Fraud Crackdown – Can Bitcoin Be an Alternative? on: November 07, 2019, 08:59:38 AM
a couple of years ago when the news about India was hot and they were trying so hard to show bitcoin as a negative thing and scare people from going into it despite the high volume and the 40% higher price of bitcoin in India, i said that they are doing it because of their corruption and the fact that they are scared of what bitcoin is offering their people. now we see how the corruption is showing itself in broad daylight.
this will only push even more Indian people towards bitcoin and it won't be surprising if in a year or two we see India ahead of the rest of the world in bitcoin adoption and usage!

As per my knowledge India's stance towards bitcoin is bit controversial as there are petitions pending in courts as Bitcoin is neither banned nor openly traded in India and the reason for so much of negativity was there were some celebrities and businesses which were involved in money laundering case who were based in India they did this through bitcoin. But you will find most of the Indians in this forum wherein they are well aware of crypto and they have many altcoin projects based out of Singapore as well as Estonia due to pressure form bakers in India. Yes we will see surge in usage of crypto coins in India during next few years.
852  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: CMC and coingecko on: November 07, 2019, 08:50:45 AM
I find Coingecko more accurate and useful than CMC. This is just my personally view but whenever I check the price of something, Coingecko is more accurate to exchange pricing. Also, Coingecko has a price checker/calculator where you can check the price of your asset in different kinds of currencies depending on how much you put. It's so convenient in my opinion. Not only that, Coingecko list tokens/coins far easier than CMC so I think that's the main reason why devs prefer listing to Coingecko first.

I have been using CMC from a those days when it had very few coins listed over their and I think both CMC and Coingecko have similar functionality but Coingecko is relatively new compared to CMC but Coingecko has some advance features like filters and categories which are not available in CMC which gives Coingecko an upper hand now.
853  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Turkey working on their own digital by end of 2020 on: November 07, 2019, 08:40:21 AM
Well this is a good news however one needs to fully understand the working principles of these countries digital currency so that one won't end up loosing all privacy etc. From another angle, this will give or throw more limelight to the crypto space and when people gets educated and finds out Bitcoin is better it will attract more growth to the crypto space. Furthermore, I think other countries will also be thinking of creating theirs because no one will like to lose out.

Whenever a country says they are adopting blockchain technology or working in it they mean to create their own digital currency in order to stay up to the latest technology and now this news of China embracing blockchain technology has spread like a wildfire and there will be more countries who will follow the same in order stay up to date with modern technology and definitely this will benefit crypto as one the users studies more they will understand the benefit of crypto over centralized digital currency.
854  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Good projects/hard to reach softcap on: November 07, 2019, 08:29:40 AM
Few good projects i have seen are having hard time to gather funds, they are still far behind to reaching their target softcap
1. Bitwings
2. EZ365

What do you have in mind about these two project? they are good enough to give a try for me, what do you say?
Indeed, these two projects do have huge potential to be a good crypto after the campaign period but I do think that it is no longer the projects, which are the problem. We saw so many projects which had high demand and large popularity but the outcome is the opposite of the investors' expectations. I think it is the market situation which is the problem at this moment. Investors are afraid to invest because of the continuous downfall we are seeing on the market value of cryptos.

Yes there are chunk of good projects which were failed or could not achieve the desired outcome thus failing both the development team as well as the investors wherein no one can be blamed due to gloomy market situation and there were few really good projects which were paused because of uncertainty and those projects might make a comeback if market situation gets suitable.
855  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Can there be a bull run for XLM? on: November 07, 2019, 08:20:31 AM
Was reading new and came across this article by coin telegram.

What is your call? Will there be a XLM bull run?

You would expect one to follow such a massive burn, and yet, nothing happened. XLM price is even dropping by over 5% right now, as part of the new overall market correction. Only Tezos seems to be having a good time at the moment.

This phenomenon of burning of 50% unused tokens were supposed to give a better result than what has been achieved and things did not go as planned for XLM but trust me Stellar has great features and can be used as one of the quickest payment transfer application for daily life but it's extremely underrated, even though it's better than other altcoins. XLM teams needs to plan something unique to pump up the value if things don't improve in near future.
856  Economy / Speculation / Re: Market Forecast on: November 07, 2019, 06:48:51 AM
So far the market is strong and looks steady I’m sure people will hate to see if it drops on $8,000 area again but this is inevitable but as far as the positive news are concern maybe we are likely to see growth in the following days imo.
the market is waking up from the Asian side of the world and this will help in price stability. There is lot of fund from that side and it might be selective. I just expect the price to enjoin the stability at a higher price of $12000-15000 as the halving hovers around in coming months. Every good project is preparing their project for next year, engaging more partnerships, signing more domestic agreements, more advert and conferences, more listing etc.

Yes market is going in right direction with a lot of positive news coming on the way and I am sure we will see a good year ahead after bearish 21018-2019. We might see some new players with new projects. This year it will be Asian market which might turn the tide for crypto with new investment expected from mid level and top level investors from China after the relaxation by Chinese government (not sure when they might restrict again).
857  Economy / Economics / Re: Asset backed cryptocoins? on: November 07, 2019, 06:36:35 AM
cryptos are already reffered to as an asset  or investment assets  but after reading further i can see that you are refering to an actual assets like gold , silver and simillar  .

yes there are asset backed cryptos but i already forgot thier names because majority of them are only a new projects came from an ico  . it supposed to help our economy if we can invest on them but cryptos itself can also help the economy if use on a proper way  so why not go for both  ?

Yes crypto will definitely help the economy of an individual and have less affect on those who are not involved in crypto but if we have a business based on crypto then it will help those who are not involved in crypto as well, I know it's not easy to run a asset backed crypto due to run ins with the government. While I was posting this OP thread I missed out to consider government's backlash for asset back cryptos.
858  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: China Will not Ban Bitcoin Mining! on: November 07, 2019, 06:25:42 AM
Actually China has already plans to ban bitcoin mining in their country many years ago and some Chinese citizen also hates the bitcoin, the only reason why their president announced the accepting of blockchain technology to their country is just because they have the plans to make their own new digital currency that may change into their fiat and there is also some sayings that their president do this because they want to be open in the possibilities and opportunities that may give of bitcoin mining into their country's economy so they will not ban bitcoin mining in China.
As we can see China is one of the holders of the half of global bitcoin hash around the world so It would be hard to ban bitcoin mining into their country.

Whatever China does has a hidden agenda and profit behind it as we are aware that the Chinese news of adopting blockchain is not a surprise since they had been planning this from years and yes mining will help them in their economy so they cannot ban it and moreover they are adopting blockchain for their own benefits not because of their love for crypto or something else, I am sure China is gradually trying to take over the crypto market with their influence and occasional news which has affect of the price of bitcoin.
859  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What to expect now? on: November 07, 2019, 06:12:12 AM
if someone writes yes, will it change something?
Market is high volatile we cant pin point the exact scenario that will happen in the coming days, thus if you answer his question base on what you believe it doesnt mean thats really the case we can only speculate but it will remain uncertain.

and even if he is right, does it matter?
Only time can tell if our prediction is right thats why its better to have our own analysis and understanding on the situation so we know whats best for our investment.

Yes own analysis is the only thing we can depend because regardless of the knowledge of an individual the prediction tends to go wrong so it's better to do our own analysis rather than blaming others when the prediction goes wrong. Only intention of people making prediction is to help the other users and make them cautious but if market goes other way then we cannot blame them.
860  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Price Manipulation Pushing the price Further Low on: November 06, 2019, 09:23:08 AM
Bitcoin price fluctuations this week has thrown light on the trading of Bitcoin, as BTC trading is supposed to be manipulated by traders. The media, including the famous analyst Willy Woo who pointed to the trend of market manipulation in the midst of deep studies.

Source: https://www.thecoinrepublic.com/bitcoin-price-analysis-traders-manipulating-bitcoins-market/
I don't think its purely manipulated simply because there are some traders who bought at the level of $8k and for them to make profit they sold early when we hit the $10k level last week. Whales can pump and dump the market, this is not new and I support traders who are making money in just a short period of time. If I were to trade, I will also play short because its the best way to make money right now, the pump and dump is good for them.

Yes there is no mistake of traders ad it's a part of their job to buy at low and sell at peak especially when they know that it's a manipulated pump by the whales to gain more profit as usual increase does not suffice their greed. Everyone who is related to crypto are aware of price manipulation and now we have to play accordingly to avoid any loses to us.
