841  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Litecoin or Etherium? on: February 11, 2018, 12:48:29 PM
The founder of Litecoin sold all of his coins and finished his existance in the project. Can you see Etherium without Vitalik Buterin?

Vitalik has also cashed out a large part of his Ethereum stock. Earlier he used to reveal how much he has sold, but now there is no information regarding this. And it is not just Vitalik who has sold his coins. The other developers have also done the same.
842  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: India and Bitcoins on: February 10, 2018, 05:48:40 PM
Who cares about India anyway? We survived the exchange ban in China, and IMO any negative government action in India doesn't even come close. I am more concerned about other countries such as Japan, Russia, South Korea, United States and the European Union.
843  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: is it safe or risky to invest in Doge coin? on: February 10, 2018, 05:44:27 PM
Dogecoin is one of the "first-generation" altcoins. It was created much earlier than Ethereum and Stellar Lumens. But it failed to attract much attention during the peak days of Bitcoin, in 2013-14. Generally, it is regarded as a failed innovation. I have noticed that there is some interest for DOGE now, but I am not sure for how long it is going to last.
844  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: porn/sex industry and cryptocurrency on: February 10, 2018, 05:42:35 PM
Well, anything related to sex catch immediately attention, so you can bet that an ICO in this field could have a huge potential of success.

Not really. You should realize that crypto-enthusiasts are not that desperate for porn (or at least for paid porn). One major application would be in the commercial sex industry, especially in escort services, strip-clubs.etc. But then, the legality comes in to question.
845  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How long do transactions usually take? on: February 10, 2018, 05:39:53 PM
Give or take, how long do you wait to receive your coins? At what point do you start to become suspicious?

Which coin are you talking about? With ETH, it takes less than 60 seconds. On the other hand, for Bitcoin it can take anywhere from 30 minutes to 3 days, depending on the transaction fee used and the network load. Other currencies such as LTC, BCH, BSD and XLM comes somewhere in between these two.
846  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Can myetherwallet get hacked? on: February 10, 2018, 05:37:23 PM
If your wallet gets hacked, then it is due to your fault. Myetherwallet is similar to Blockchain.info. It does not store the private key, and the users are responsible for the safety of the coins in the wallet. Unless you allow a keylogger to steal your private key, your coins should be safe.
847  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Altcoin under 1$ to invest in now? on: February 08, 2018, 06:53:39 PM
If you are looking for alts priced under $1 per coin, then I would recommend the following ones:

1. Ripple (XRP)
2. Electroneum
3. DigiByte
4. Golem
5. Power Ledger   token
848  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cricket match prediction discussions on: February 04, 2018, 08:36:46 AM
Today second one-day match between SA and India. Indians suddenly become strong after winnings that last test match. In the first one-day match, Indians was fully dominated and that gave them more confidence to play this match. Based on that match performance I believe today also Indians may dominate this match and win.

Indians are still too much dependent on Virat Kohli. Unless they are able to give him some support during batting, India is not going to win most of their matches. Because Virat can't hit a century every time he bats. He is not god, he is human.
849  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which Altcoins performed best during the latest crash? on: February 04, 2018, 08:30:06 AM
Ethereum comes to mind. A few weeks back, it was trading at around BTC0.028 per coin. Now it is trading at BTC0.1040 per coin. It has managed to increase its value by four times against Bitcoin (despite stiff competition from Waves and Stellar).
850  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Time to buy LiteCoin - King of all Coins! on: February 04, 2018, 08:28:19 AM
Litecoin had most of its user base in China, and most of them have dumped the coins. So I am not very excited about the future prospects of this particular coin. But it is one of the coins in my portfolio for the past 3-4 years.
851  Economy / Economics / Re: Do bitcoin millonaires deserve their wealth? on: February 04, 2018, 08:21:27 AM
Those who worked hard deserves the wealth which they had accumulated. I am just saying that the corrupt politicians and dishonest traders don't deserve their wealth and the other hard working people deserve it.
852  Economy / Economics / Re: how many coke cans you can buy with one dollar in your country? on: February 04, 2018, 08:19:51 AM
At this current rate, with 1$ I can buy 3 350mL cans or 2 500mL plastic bottles or 1 1,5L plastic bottle.
I can say cokes is pretty cheap in my country.  Cheesy

Rates in your country seems to be lower than those in mine. Here a 350 ml can costs around $0.50 and 1.5 L bottle costs around $1.50. I am not a big fan of Coke, so my information may be outdated.
853  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is bitcoin going to hit 5000 USD ? on: February 03, 2018, 06:17:48 PM
I'll wait for it. The deeper btc falls, the bigger it rise again. Don't consider this as market crash, it's normal for crypto. Hold or short - no matter what to do, if you doing this with clear head.

How much "deeper" you want the crypto to fall? Bitcoin has fallen from its peak of around $20,000 per coin to less than $8,000 per coin, which corresponds to more than 60% drop. This is not good for Bitcoin's future, as it will make the asset not favored by the market giants.
854  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why are altcoins still dropping in price on: February 03, 2018, 06:15:18 PM
Market is not confident anymore about the everbulling trend... BTC is not a so good store of value too it seems, except the case it turns in high green territory fast again, this is one of the biggest drop suffered by BTC and alt market so far, we need a great help to go through this.

I have been investing in Bitcoins since 2012, and you are absolutely right about the recent crash. Never before Bitcoin lost 60% of its value in less than four weeks. Drops have occurred even before, but they were longer in duration and smaller in magnitude when compared with the current one.
855  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Should I buy BTC? on: February 03, 2018, 06:10:42 PM
BTC dumped and now is a good time buy it. Better keep some fiat ready and catch some dips, dont buy all at once, keep buying at every dip. We don't know the bottom yet. But every fud created, bitcoin price drops.

This is a safer strategy. It is possible that the exchange rates can drop much lower, as the order books of all the major crypto-exchanges are showing large sell orders. So my advice is also the same. Investors must use caution.
856  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Too late for Bitcoin? on: February 03, 2018, 06:08:46 PM
It is definitely not too late to invest in crypto-currency. On the other hand, now it is the perfect time to invest in them. The exchange rates have nosedived by almost 60%, and the previously over-priced and hyper-inflated coins now looks quite under-priced.
857  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Getting porn sites to accept bitcoin on: January 27, 2018, 11:56:56 AM
If they cannot follow the age limit rule, then they should not add it, they should wait, and will have to work to invent a system which can control over the age limit rule. Or the bitcoin should have to give a feature of ID card verification system  for the account.

First of all, it is ridiculous to have this stupid age limit for watching porn movies. I still remember when I watched my first porn movie. I was 12 or 13 years back then. A lot of kids watch porn movies and I don't think that there is anything wrong with that.
858  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Sell your house for investment in btc. on: January 27, 2018, 11:54:07 AM
How did you come up with this idea? selling your house for bitcoin seriously?

absolutely NO. The idea is insane  Grin .. Hope your technique wont fail you or else youll end up homeless.

It is an insane idea indeed. But we can only warn him, right? It is his house and he can do whatever he want with that one. Anyway, we will regret our words, if Bitcoin gives him 2x or 5x profits within two months. If that happens, then we will be wondering why we didn't sold our houses and invested the returns in Bitcoin.
859  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If no one spends bitcoin what might happen? on: January 27, 2018, 11:51:02 AM
Nowadays there are not many options for spending Bictoins. Online markets such as Bitmit has closed down. Bitify (earlier Cryptothrift) seems to be under constant maintenance. Large number of dark markets have closed down and the few remaining ones are prioritizing BCH, XMR and ETH over Bitcoin. Even sites such as Stripe and Steam have stopped accepting Bitcoin.
860  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Potential altcoins in top 100 for 2018 on: January 27, 2018, 11:45:16 AM
Stellar Lumens look quite attractive now, as some of the tokens are using it as the platform. But the problem is that the prices have already risen by quite a bit (right now it is the #6 crypto in terms of market cap), and I don't know whether there will be a correction anytime soon or not.
