Haha, Does anyone actually fall for those things?

So, I would like to turn the 5 USD I got into BTC. Is there a way to do that from the site, or do I have to withdraw the 5 USD and turn it into BTC myself?

I'd like to find a web designer/programmer immediately with the following skills in order of importance:
- Modern, table-less, css layouts (preferably using STRICT mode). - Javascript (can use jquery), and possibly some AJAX - PHP/MySQL experience - Preferably someone who can be available via Skype (text only)
I have all those skills! Of course, I'm not nearly as qualified as the person before me, as I don't have a degree, but just in case he didn't work out for whatever reason. Also, I may be working for Nefario, but I'm waiting on a reply from him to see if I can rejoin a project, so if I were to work for you, Nefario would come first. Hi Ryland, There's always room for one more... have you tried your hand at the JSON interface to bitcoin yet? My sites will handle transactions directly with their own local wallet. (Like the one in my sig). Anyway, let me know how it goes with Nefario. Thanks I actually haven't fiddled around with the JSON interface to bitcoin at all, though I imagine it would be fairly easy for me to get familiar with.

246141 I'm on chrome also, and the navigation bar is pretty messed up. Other than that, great site.

I usually have more computer junk laying around than I could possibly want. But here are some ideas that might resonate with the BTC audience:
Graphics cards that are good for mining (high performance / watt) Open source compatible hardware Arduinos Water cooling stuff Rackmount stuff
Would arduinos fit in this category? Wouldn't that be just more of a general electronics component?

I've already said the primary reason is that the project changed and your skill-set didn't match.
I realize this was directed towards kiba, but, again, I'd like to point out that I'm great with python. Is there some other requirement that I don't meet?

Was this for the job posting that paid 120 BTC per week?
Yes, I believe it was, unless there was another one with the same pay.

Fool. I PM'ed you to ask if you want to help out. You replied then did nothing.
Your loss.
Don't know about Kiba but I suspect the same.
Are you both 12? I guess you're only good for making crappy forum posts attacking people rather than taking the initiative to write useful code. Not here to be your parent. In the future if you want to work on the net, you have to be pro-active and self-directed.
First of all, I'm not trying to attack anyone. I was just confused, and when Kiba brought this up, I thought I might as well tell him my experience and ask if he knew anything about it. Also, I replied to your message and wasn't aware I got a reply back. I just went through my messages and found it. I'm not sure how I managed to miss it, but I guess that is kind of my loss. I should have been more thorough when I checked my messages. Anyway, thanks for hiring me in the first place, and for paying me for what I did do. Again, I'm not mad at anyone. And if theres no room in the project for me anymore, that's fine. I was just curious as to what was happening, and upon more thorough examination, I realize it's my fault anyway. However, if you do find more room in the project, let me know. Ruby may not be my thing, but I'm great with python. It's the main language I use to program. Edit: By the way, are you male or female? I know your profile says female, but I haven't seen anyone refer to you as a she.

When I told you we were going to use fossil instead of git you did nothing but complain and grumble about it. This showed a lack of enthusiasm. And fossil is really easy to use and install, it's just a single binary with no dependencies.
Sorry about that part by the way, that was mostly my fault. I've worked with git before, but for some reason, I couldn't get it to work this time on my piece of crap computer. I was on IRC with him, and told him I was having a little trouble, and he told me to try fossil before continuing with getting git to work. Fossil was up and running in minutes, so he decided to stay with it. Did he tell you that was because of me? If you told me you had a problem with it, I would have tried harder to get git working.

I think it looks good. I saw your old hair in your complaint video, so if I had to choose, I think I'd go with the shaved head (Not to say your old hair looked bad, of course.)

I'm working for nefario too (on the same project, I might add,) and he/she (It says female on the profile) hasn't contacted me, or responded to me for weeks. Did he say anything about me? Do you think I lost my job too? I was actually really excited for this.

A couple years ago, I went on a mission trip to Honduras (Quite an interesting experience, as while we were there, the president was arrested, and the whole country went into anarchy. But that's another story ) and I came back with a bit of Honduran money (Limpiars.) Anyway, we've had this foreign money for years, and don't know what to do with it. So I'm wondering if anyone would be interested in buying some for Bitcoin. I've got: - 2 100 Limpiar bills
- 2 20 Limpiar bills
- 4 10 Limpiar bills
- 1 2 Limpiar bill
- 3 1 Limpiar bills
Heres a calculator for converting Limpiars to your currency (No Bitcoin option unfortunately): http://coinmill.com/HNL_calculator.html#HNL=285Let me know if your interested.

Would you be interested in having your own domain name and a space on my server with ssh and ftp access?

Heard of AC, never heard of AS. Don't associate with either, now that I've read some about both. I think it's the "A"-thing that bothers me a bit.
I don't plan on it, I'm just curious.

I don't know much about political philosophies, but I am very interested in them. Since I've joined the Bitcoin community, I've seen those terms used a lot, and it was the first time I had ever heard of them. I've done some research, and I pretty much get the gist of them, but I'd like to hear from you guys. If you associate yourself with either of these, I would like to know... - Which one
- Your brief definition of it
- Why you believe in it
I'm not trying to start a debate thread (Though it's not discouraged,) I'm just curious. Thanks.

Ok, thanks. I was hoping I wouldn't have to redownload the block chain though. Stupid slow internet! I'll let you know if that gets it working.
Edit: It worked, thanks a lot!

I haven't recieved the coins yet, as I was still downloading the block chain. Will the wallet file also have my addresses? Also, redownloading didn't help, I'm still getting the same error message.

I just bought 27 BTC from coinpal, and my computer froze while I was downloading the block chain, so I had to restart. When I tried running bitcoin again, I got this: EXCEPTION: NSt8ios_base7failureE CAutoFile::read : end of file bitcoin in AppInit()
I'm currently re-downloading bitcoin. When I run the newly downloaded one, will I still have the same bitcoin addresses I had before, so I can still receive my bitcoin? Will I have to redownload the whole block chain (I have really slow internet.)? I'm hoping all this data is stored somewhere in my .bitcoin folder.
