8681  Economy / Services / Re: Byteball Twitter Campaign(FULL) on: March 06, 2017, 02:38:49 PM
During the previous campaigns, when we didn't have enough tweets to retweet, we were retweeting anything mentionning #Byteball.
It was not a problem for the manager and Byteball, maybe they will once again accepting this. If @Yahoo can confirm ...
8682  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: except bitpay, which bitcoin payment gateway you like to use? on: March 06, 2017, 02:19:03 PM
Gocoin (https://www.gocoin.com/) seems to gives also an smooth experience like bitpay and their support is somehow good as well (based on past experience).

PAYMIUM (https://paymium.com/page/services#merchants) also seems to be another option worthy of a look (although haven't tested their way of processing).

This thread belongs to "Service Discussion section".
+1 for Paymium. They are not big so you can except to get a dedicated support and not generic answers copy pasted  Grin. I find them efficient and fast to deal with them as well they are proactive. Never got a problem and answer to each query
8683  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Prepaid Virtual Credit Cards on: March 06, 2017, 02:11:22 PM
I use advcash, both virtual and plastic and it going good until now

In my account there is no option to request a virtual card and my plastic card has not yet arrived. This is creating me many problems.

It is at the same place where you ordered your plastic card. On the left, click create a card, then on the next page you have to choose between "plastic" or " virtual".I know that some countries are not eligible to receive those cards, for exemple India, but since you ordered a plastic card I assume your country is eligible to it. I got my card in about 2 weeks if I remember. The card comes from Germany and I am near Germany
8684  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: purse io giftcards? on: March 06, 2017, 02:05:09 PM
You will receive your bitcoin once the buyer confirm he got the gift card, no difference with a normal item. If it is about an virtual gift card code you receive them instantly normally. In any case the bitcoin are released once the byuer receive what he ordered from you
8685  Economy / Economics / Re: I have 12 BTC in my Account, How should I invest this?? on: March 05, 2017, 12:56:10 PM
I wouldn' invest a full amount of 12 BTC for sure. It's a big amount of money to me. If i wanted to invest some bitcoin, i would make a site related to bitcoin, for exemple a blog with a little of seo work and monetize is using affiliation CPA or others (paying with bitcoin or not)
8686  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: ViaBTC offers a nice service for very small transactions on: March 05, 2017, 12:50:40 PM
I tried this service for a friend 2 consecutive days to help him because he was waiting since 2-3 days to receive his payment. It was his first bitcoin transaction and he finally is disappointed with bitcoin. Each time i got the message "limit reached 100 per hour.." or something similar... I give up at the end. 100 per is to low and surely this limit is reached every hour. People would need to make a bot trying every fews minutes just for trying to be in xD. By the way, do any of you guys know a service that work the same ? Or is Viabtc the only one?
8687  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Certified Bitcoin Professional on: March 05, 2017, 12:45:50 PM
I am sorry to say but this kind of certification has no value, at least to me. What was the process to get it ? Following the course and complete a quizz ? In their about page i see Andreas M. Antonopoulos, Vitalik Buterin, and a few others listed as their Board of Directors. I am a little surprised to see them and I never heard about this consortium
8688  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Prepaid Virtual Credit Cards on: March 05, 2017, 12:37:37 PM
There are several services where users can get a bitcoin prepaid card and top up with bitcoin. Cryptopay, Spectrocoin, Avirexapp, Advcash are a few exemple where you can take a look at. Spectrocoin is giving away free virtual Visa via their twitter account, otherwise it's cheap as $0.50 if i am not wrong. I use advcash, both virtual and plastic and it going good until now
8689  Economy / Economics / Re: BitCoin Exchange on: March 05, 2017, 12:33:23 PM
Making a local bitcoin exchange would need some serious studies about the viability of this kind of project. You can be a local exchanger but what would make people to use your service instead the giants that are already established ? Maybe a local payment solution related to your country but nowadays, you can buy and sell bitcoin with all the payments possible. I afraid the market is somehow "saturated" and or difficult to be in at least

In my opinion there would be no need for a local BTC exchange. BTC was designed to be open to everyone who wants to use it and it has the ability to operate outside of the law and instead it creates its own layer of payments that can cross borders. Why limit it by going local? Use it they way it should be. Borderless.
What are you talking about? Having local exchanges doesn't take anything away from the open nature of Bitcoin. It just gives ease of use to the people who use Bitcoin.

OP, what you're talking about is basically a Bitcoin ATM. I have no idea how much profit they gain, guess it depends on their location.
I'd like to see some usage statistics from people who own one though.

Of course it does. Why make your exchange local when BTC crosses borders in the first place? Why not make the exchange available on the internet for anyone from any country? Setting up a local exchange is counterintuitive.
It does not have to be counterintuitive, some people may not like to exchange their coins in a faceless international exchange by buying locally you could get to know exactly where the exchange is located and that diminishes the risk of getting scammed bu the exchange since you knew where were they located.
We dream about the mass use bitcoin, but as soon as more people start to use it, and these people tend to be not very educated in cryptocurrency then necessarily appear massive invasion of scams that will rob these people.

The same can be say about any site using currencies like the dollar, the euro, ect... You can see scam coming out daily to fraud internet users. I am sure the number of scams using bitcoin is still very less compared to others currencies
8690  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin less evil than PayPal? on: March 05, 2017, 12:29:10 PM
bitcoin is not at all evil. it doesn't have any brain and so i could say that bitcoin is not a eveil not a good one but its the way how we use the currency. if we use bitcoin for good cause then its fine otherwise if we use bitcoin for bad then that's our problem not bitcoin's.

Bitcoin is a currency and paypal is a service.  Using bitcoin is easier and hassle free as compare to paypal. Those who know about bitcoins are now switching to bitcoins as they know that paypal sucks and  ask too much fee for their service. Bitcoin will soon overcome Paypal and other such services.

Yes, now with the rise in Bitcoin price more investors and internet users are reading news about Bitcoin and they are interested on it, including Paypal users. I think at this moment Paypal users are just waiting Bitcoin be accepted by more stores and sites to do a full migration to Blockchain and stop using Paypal services, as Bitcoin is simpler and more accessible.
Honestly a very few people would make a 100% switch from paypal to bitcoin, no matter the number of stores accepting bitcoin and no matter what the fees are. Buyers don't pay the fees, the sellers do. And there is no buyer protection with bitcoin, in the opposite of paypal
8691  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Could bitcoin prevent crime? on: March 05, 2017, 12:24:14 PM
There is no way bitcoin to prevent crime. Criminals don't need bitcoin to commit crime either. On top of that regarding using crypto for criminal activities, there are far better and more smart to use than bitcoin, for exemple monero. Secondly, in case bitcoin could prevent crime they will  find others ways for theirs dirty act... They are always full of imagination
8692  Economy / Economics / Re: Spending Bitcoins on: March 02, 2017, 07:46:05 PM
To grow the adoption of bitcoin we need people spending it as a daily currency.
In my country there is not much I cant buy with bitcoins.
Granted not a lot of retailers accept BTC yet but with all the services available now they dont need to.
A bitcoin debit card can be very handy.

Nowadays if I need to pay a bill then I can pay any bill via a site called livingroomofsatoshi

Please list any reasons why you could not use bitcoin for day to day expenses and maybe we can find a way.

Today we are in March i am happy to tell you that i have not visited my bank since 2 months, just log in their website to see what's going on lol.
Only using my bitcoin debt cards Grin
8693  Economy / Economics / Re: why is it so hard to buy bitcoin on: March 02, 2017, 07:41:57 PM
I have not really bought any bitcoin in a while, i have been mostly trading this last year.  but i have been trying to buy today from localbitcoins and bittylicious and it has been a real challenge.  they want photos of me holding cards on localbitcoins and on bitty they need about 4 different forms of id, what is going on.

this is seriously restrictive to anyone wanting to get into bitcoin,  like its meant to be pseudonymous but if the gate ways into bitcoin dont allow that people will be put off.    Huh

Never ever i needed to give any of my ID information when i wanted to buy bitcoin. Do you have a bank account because it's the most easy and fast to buy bitcoin and you won't need to use site like localbitcoin or ugly site like bittylicious
8694  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If Satoshi reveals himself, what would be of Bitcoin? on: March 02, 2017, 07:16:55 PM
If Satoshi reveals himself, I would be more worried for him instead to think what would be of Bitcoin. He could become a public ennemy #1 for some people and in no time
8695  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Problems That Must To Be Solved Or Dash Will Win on: March 02, 2017, 07:13:36 PM
Yeah Dash is the new flower of the month and people start to watch it. But eventually it will fade like any flower. Btcoin isn't a flower it's a tree ! Grin
Don't worry about Dash, you will see soon ar later how it will end, don't get too much excited because of the recents days
8696  Economy / Economics / Re: Big Crash coming on: March 02, 2017, 12:21:06 PM
If you are a reader of zerohedge you can see theirs predictions about the crash coming every weeks lol. A kind of Alex Jones. This say, we can see a lot of banks in agony since long time now like in Germany and Italy. And we should really be afraid about the central banks politics, specially i europe :/
8697  Economy / Economics / Re: You should never trust banks on: March 02, 2017, 12:16:35 PM
Do you know the documentary "Money as debt" ? It is a very good one and well explaining how the monetary system works in reality. It explains how the money is created by banks and its historical background. You can discover how the banking system is a real fraud and a ponzi scheme, a system full of unsustainability that can collapse at ay time. I really advice you to watch it even if you are not agree with what the author is saying. There is 3 parts if i remember
8698  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What do you think of people that treat Bitcoin solely as an investment? on: March 02, 2017, 12:08:03 PM
It's a kind of error to consider to use bitcoin as an investment. You generally don't invest by buying dollars or others currencies unless you are a kind of daily traders. But most people are not. Ad you need a considerable investment to make a decent profit unless you are hoping to see the price of bitcoin doubled in a short period of time
8699  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: "With Bitcoin/Crypto, what are you most optimistic about?" on: March 02, 2017, 12:04:27 PM
I am most optimistic about the use of bitcoin by the mass. But to see this Bitcoin still needs to be more easy to use for the people, a lot of people are still really confused with bitcoin and are overloaded with informations. Web wallet for exemple is the prefered wallet when you first try to understand how to use bitcoin
8700  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Buy Bitcoin With Visa on: March 02, 2017, 12:01:13 PM
Several sellers in localbitcoin, I don't think your country matter, I noticed most sellers are using an external party where you can send money to your friends by using an app and linkinng your card to your account. 247exchange and Bitpanda are two others sites you can take a look at it. Generally you need a verification ID to buy using a card. Bitit.gift allow you to buy but not a lot. Over 25$ you will need a verification of your ID
