7841  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If Uber/Lyft/Paypal would accept bitcoin, game changer? on: September 03, 2017, 08:17:22 PM
There are so many companies can accept bitcoins as payment method. But btc payment option brings so many problems. First and biggest problem is volatility. Crypto world is not stable and less volatile no matter of which coin/token you are referring

From the company side, it is not a big problem as it seems. There are solutions for merchants to have their payment in Bitcoin converted automatically in fiat this to avoid the volatility. Bitpay, Paymium and surely some others offer this solution. So as merchants you don't lose any money. The same could be implemented for the customers side.
7842  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Why I can't withdraw from BITTREX on: September 03, 2017, 06:36:11 PM
Is there a one account per person policy in Bittrex? My friend has an old basic account that he has been using since 2015 and has not encountered any problems with the exchange.

I also noticed the only accounts that are disabled are the new accounts. Any idea why?

Bittrex introduced last month a verification process for some accounts (due to so many accounts compromised). A newly created account has a limit of 0 BTC withdrawal per day. To increase the limit the person needs to set up 2FA. As per their TOS, Bittrex allows multi accounts at their own discretion
7843  Economy / Economics / Re: “The future of Money” Whitepaper on: September 03, 2017, 05:20:12 PM
Good luck for your idea.
Good luck to convince a country to full adopt digital currency without traditional paper money

Not so hard as you think, if you look at the process already started years ago. In fact, the increasingly obvious willingness to reverse the "cash" is directly linked to the inefficiency of this monetary policy... The European Commission published already a proposal for an EU initiative on restrictions on payments in cash in 2018.  http://ec.europa.eu/smart-regulation/roadmaps/docs/plan_2016_028_cash_restrictions_en.pdf

7844  Economy / Exchanges / Re: share yours good and bad experience in coinbase and coins.ph on: September 03, 2017, 02:46:30 PM
Coinbase is horrible.
The site becomes low or offline as soon the Bitcoin value start seeing some big up or down. They don't wanna learn and improve their site because each time the situation happen again and again. So if you are in hurry t transfer out your coins because the price started to failed big or something like that, then you won't be able to log in.
Their support is also horrible: If you need any help and contact them, you won't get a reply, not even after a month. So imagine you made a deposit to buy some coins and your deposit is frozen (as it happens often) then your money will stay frozen for an unknow period of time.

7845  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: which is the best for botcoin? on: September 03, 2017, 12:25:37 PM
This has been asked many times, you can find 50 topics with the exact same question. No one can tell you what is the best wallet as nobody knows what do you prefer, and nobody knows what kind of wallet you prefer. You should search what are the different types of wallet and then identify what you like most. Then choose a wallet according to your preferences
7846  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Your opinion about the project! on: September 03, 2017, 09:50:04 AM
To be honest, your project doesn't look good. The ROI you are offering seems too high to be taken seriously. In fact, it makes me think you are planing to run a pure HYIP under cover. It would be nice if you give some details about the methods used.If your traders are so successful they wouldn't need to open such project.
7847  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Best Bitcoin services available in Canada on: September 02, 2017, 09:52:16 PM
Hello,

I would like to start a discussion about Bitcoin services available in Canada.

I'm currently using QuadriguaCX as my exchange and it is OK so far. I'm wondering if there is now a better way to exchange Fiat to BTC with a lower exchange rates from Canada?

Also, I've seen many bitcoin VISA debit card available online to spend BTC by loading a amount to a kind of prepaid credit card. All those cards seems very convenient but I didn't find one yet that was available for Canadian and that can be loaded with Canadian Dollars. The ones I found can only be loaded with USD or Euro with a conversion rate of aprox. 3% for each transaction when spending in a different currency. Anyway, I would be happy to learn if someone know a card services like this available for Canadians...

Thanks

If you are looking to use a prepaid card and load it with Canadian dollars then better for you to not use any of those bitcoin cards. In this case you should take a look at other services such as Neteller, SolidTrustPay, PCS, Polo and so on... Visa cards for Bitcoin are supposed to be loaded with bitcoin. Those cards are available in 3 currencies only: $, £, €. You won't find any other since all those companies are using Mychoice to be able to sell cards. They just act as a middleman between you and the company.
A company that has been bought by VISA INTL last week and decided to restrict their service to European citizens only
7848  Economy / Exchanges / Re: ***Warning: Visited Poloniex' "Corporate Offices" ***These Are My Findings*** on: September 02, 2017, 09:21:58 PM
Delaware is a famous state if you need a virtual office with a virtual address and as a bonus you get a low taxes. For me Delaware=Taxs optimizations... I am surprised the guy told you many things that he was not supposed to. It would be nice if you can update this topic to keep us informed about this "Treasure hunt" and more impotant if you get your coins back
7849  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Sites to earn bitcoins ? on: September 02, 2017, 08:49:03 PM
Outside the forum? You can take a look at some GPT sites with Bitcoin as a payment method. Basically, once you join the site, you are getting paid by doing some small tasks and jobs, complete some free offers, taking surveys etc. You won't make ton of money for sure, but there are some people making at least 3 digits per month with it. Better than nothing
7850  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Coins.ph Customer Service on: September 02, 2017, 08:34:06 PM
The holidays season, it is possible they are just restricted with the staff, especially if it is not a big company (I know you will say, look at Coinbase it's a big company but a real shit regarding the support all months of the year Cheesy) By the way isn't Coins.ph  a service available only for the Filipinos dudes ?
7851  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Why transactions takes so long? on: September 02, 2017, 08:23:38 PM
If you think 30 seconds is too low for you then I think cryptocurrencies are not really for you. Or you may take a look at Ripple xD
I am fine with waiting 1 hour to see a Bitcoin transaction fully completed, it's much better to what it was sometimes before. Of course, faster than 1 hour would be nice too

I don't know much about how BTC or ETH works, but why all cryptocurrencies takes so long to confirm a transaction. I think even 30s is too long, why cant it be instant like PayPal?

it depend on market because if you sell bitcoin into ethereum you cannot transact it easily because you need to wait until your item (coin) will buy.

I think you should read the OP more carefully to avoid to reply out of topic
7852  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Coinbase & bittrex need to make it safe on: September 02, 2017, 08:09:36 PM
If what you mean is to get your money on cold storage then etherwallet.is the best place to be. But with all transaction you pay a fee unless you are depositing that I know you wouldn't be charged

@Pfeff is right here: Cold storage is, for example, a paper wallet, hardware, USB, something that is not hosted on a server or a computer. What you are suggesting has nothing to do with "cold storage". There are often posts totally misinforming people because posters just google in hurry to have then something to say. It would be cool if you don't post if you don't know
7853  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Bitcoin debit card with the best possible exchange rate on: September 02, 2017, 11:36:35 AM
I remember to see a table comparison from Bitwala comparing the 4-5 most popular bitcoin debit card services, with rates etc.
Bitwala was the service offering the best rate between them. (checking right now, Bitwala rate is 3980€ and Kraken 4000€)
All cards come from the same company MyChoice, so you won't find any major difference with the fees so it's best that you take in consideration the BTC rate and the support offered.
I used Cryptopay and Advcash, both work well. Bitwala support is outstanding
7854  Economy / Speculation / Re: BITCOIN PRICE NEVER GO DOWN on: September 01, 2017, 09:38:51 PM
Bitcoin prices always go up every day, and the price can not be stopped, if always like this, when bitcoin prices will go down?
Or will not the bitcoin price go down?

Where were you in July when the value of bitcoin lost something like $800 in a few hours. Have you already forgotten? Bitcoin goes up and down multiple time during the day, and yes the price can be stopped anytime and we are going to see it again before November
7855  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Satoshi Nakamoto identified by NSA,? on: September 01, 2017, 09:31:46 PM
There will always be different speculations over the years. There will always be people or entities that will make assumptions. Some have also probably some interests to maintain the myth of an anonymous person. NSA can also have its own interest to spread some rumors.
Who trust the NSA in 2017
7856  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Best platform for day trading? on: September 01, 2017, 06:19:40 PM
Bittrex is the most populat so is the best choose

Because a site is the most popular it doesn't mean it is the best. It may be because people don't have many alternatives and can accept to get restricted somewhere (for example a feature or something like that) With all the Poloniex recent problems people had to switch somewhere and Bittrex look a good alternative.
In fact, the popularity of Bittrex was decreasing since last year, and only since April/May it is becoming more popular

7857  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Coinbase sees complaints grow on: September 01, 2017, 06:04:44 PM
Probably an impact of the current high fees and transaction times.

Man imagine all the legal expenses for these.

And how it can be an impact of the high fees and transaction times? So you are telling us that if Coinbase support sucks a lot it is because f the bitcoin's high fees. And since the transactions times can be very long, it is the reason why Coinbasse support takes so long to reply to people.

Totally logic
7858  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: traceability on: September 01, 2017, 10:28:34 AM
I read on several websites that especially gov agencies are not capable of tracing bitcoing transactions.
all those website are wrong. or possibly you didn't read the full thing to understand it.

bitcoin transactions aren't exactly traceable to you but they are not anonymous either. it is somewhere in between.
since everything is public, you can see everything on the blockchain and using this you can do some analysis and come up with some results about where the funds come and go and possibly tell who they belong to. but this is not 100% and will never be 100%.

On the other hand I read that Monero at this moment has the most security in tracing. Is this true ?
so far Monero is the best cryptocurrency with anonymous transactions that others.

Excuse me but I don't agree with you. There are far better cryptocurrencies focused on privacy. For example Zencash is better than monero regarding anonymous transactions, it can't even be compared to Monero. Just take a look at the project and you will change your opinion
7859  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Cryptopia hacked !? on: September 01, 2017, 09:16:53 AM
all my bitcoins are withdrawn without my confirmation. stood 2FA, but that did not stop them. E-mail confirmation was turned off and all coins were withdrawn. is this a bug of the exchange? And is there any hope that my stolen bitcoins will return me?

I guess you're one of the people with 2FA for the withdrawals but not for log into your account. Which is kind of silly, because in Cryptopia you can transfer coins to another account directly, without email verification. You can even allow withdraw coins to a selected address only
7860  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Any Good Bitcoin to Paypal/Other Online Payment System? on: September 01, 2017, 09:04:56 AM
You may take a look at Coinbank. They do have a feature to sell your bitcoin to Paypal. But it's upon verification of your account. And Paypal can hold your fund for 21 days sometimes (like it can happen with sales from ebay).

There are quite a lot of exchange.
https://goldux.com/ and https://www.bestchange.com/ are one of the highest volume exchanger.

It is not a good idea to exchange bitcoins and paypal directly, you should probably keep PM or any other payment options as middleman to avoid being restricted by Paypal.

You have no idea of what your are talking about. You surely searched in google in hurry without even checking.
Bestexchange.com is not an exchange, they just list the exchangers depending on the payment processors you select
Goldux doesn't have paypal

...one of the highest volume exchanger....
oh yeah, you make me laugh
