Before September it was so easy to believe in that price 5000 for 1 BTC. However so far the situation has changed so quickly that it's hard to believe in any prediction or even forecast, based on calculations
Exactly, I agree with you about this point. It seems that people are still living on a cloud and believing in Santa. And there is not any green light, not any red light either. So it's quite hard to predict something about the value yet. People talking about Bitcoin will be back to 5000$ this year, are just showing their optimism but there is nothing based on fact or something they know about.

Imagine the situation in which we don't have any physical money and every currency is digitalized. The US dollar is now a token, the Japanese Yen is only in the network and the British pound is a fast-moving digital coin. What are the consequences of such an economy for the poorest of the population? Do you think that a few people can influence the digital wealth of people and wouldn't hackers be the best people to have as friends?
When you are poor, you are poor, no matter the currency used and no matter if the currency is digital or not. Having hackers as friends is not going to change anything. You can them to play the thief and steal the dollars from innocent people but let's say Bitcoin is THE currency in the future, your friends won't be so useful

Localbitcoins is a safe place to trade even with their newest members. If you get scammed on localbitcoins than you need to re-think about it that how foolish you are? Localbitcoins provide escrow to both the parties which means neither can be scammed. I don't know if anyone is foolish enough to release the bitcoins before getting payment.
Have you ever used the site and understood how the site is working? I am giving some example. If the guys sell Bitcoin for a SEPA/SWIFT transfer and after the transaction is noted as completed, then the guy contact his bank to cancel the transfer. What localbitcoin is going to do, Nothing, it doesn't have any authority on banks, you know?? If the guy sells for Paypal and the buyer open a disupute (or others methods I am not going to tell here ) what localbitcoin will do? Nothing So stop posting your useless advice, I am sure you don't have an account on localbitcoin, nor you understand something

If people wanted to obtain their Bitcoin Cash immediately, they should have stored their coins offline, because at the end of the day, that's where coins are supposed to be stored.
True. However storing offline is not a solution for everyone, because it may not easy to do or let's say alone to understand. Remember that it's one of the problems still for the mass adoption (making it easy to use). There are people who don't know manage wallets, keys, etc. Those people like to use online wallets such as Coinbase. There are also a very large amount of people using Exchange Platforms as their main wallet. Because they don't want to deal with their own wallet, or for whatever reason it is. Everyone has the right to complain about something, there is nothing written on Moise's tablets telling we can't.If we can't complain about anything then it is a tyranny at least a dictatorship.

Don't be so optimistic because you may regret it very soon. Currently, we should consider ourself lucky that the price recovers the 4200$ in a very short period of time. But to see the $5000 we can wait a long time to see it again, if it's happening a day.
September 30 is coming in the following days, it's possible that we see something (good or bad I don't know) After this, October which could be a month like July. It will be a big surprise if we Bitcoin at 5000$ before the end of the year.

He is just saying that cryptos are an interesting concept? What's wrong with that? He isn't saying Bitcoin is shit or something like that. If each time someone well know says something about Bitcoin and you make a topic to making look like a drama you will never end
The amounts invested by banks in Bitcoin/Bitcoin companies wouldn't be so important in their portofolio

The wallet is not what makes a transaction sent quickly, it is the fee you attach to your transaction. This has been asked 47th times at least. You can go to the "Wallets" subforum and you will find all the replies you want about it. Secure doesn't mean a lot. It's you who secure your wallet.

People like to compare the price with the week/month before. But if you look at the price since 2013 this is another story. No need to go up to 2013, we can consider just 9 months ago while the price was at 1000$. In 9 months the value increased by 400%, so don't worry we can deal with a -25% In January, a lot of folks were saying Bitcoin is SOOOO expensive

Hey,
I am currently in search for a new provider (Virtual Debit Cards with can be loaded with bitcoins) which does not have that ridiculously low load limitation ($250) and which can be bought without any identification. I am using the card a lot for online purchases, so I can indirectly pay with bitcoins.
Anyone?
Yeah, the new regulations in Europe is pretty frustrating for anonymous bitcoin card users. All the virtual debit card providers that support bitcoin seem to be adopting this new regulation because most is based in Europe where the new regulation takes place. I would strongly suggest getting verified with just one of them, i would recommend wirex/bitwala, they are the simplest ones to use. However, if you are willing to take the risk there are still a few that will give you nice limits without ID. Bitplastic.com is one of the oldest out there but is extremely dodgy. As you can see the UI is outdated af. Only use this as your last refuge, if everything else fails. What I would recommend though is go to advcash, register an account, go to changer.com, exchange your bitcoin into advcash, and get a virtual debit card that has like $3000 per day limits i believe. However, you are trusting a company in Belize... Obviously, you don't know about the site, you surely searched in hurry to have something to post. This website is a scam since years and redirecting to Dell remote access controller since a long time now It could be good if you search before telling wrong advice to people, especially when it's about money @AppleKuchenX8 They all have this ridiculously low amount unless you are planning to be verified with one of them I don't think you will find higher

I use kraken, Bittrex and Cryptopia mainly. I stick with them as I don't like to have to create an account in several exchanges. I think 2-3 are enough as long they give you what you're looking.
What I like at Cryptopia are the pairs alt/alt. I think Kraken is the one I prefer but it's because it's the one feeding my bank account and I like how fast the process is. Bittrex is good since they have a nice volume and a huge list of coins to trade.

Ask around you if they heard recently about this reptilian telling Bitcoin is shit. And people from the Bitcoin community are now used to read this kind of thing
Bad publicity is still free advertising and good to take

This has been the Paypal ideology for years. Paypal is not interested to just provide a payment processor to people. Paypal has always made dream to be the major bank using their unique banking system. If you visit the Paypal labs in USA you will see some crazy things that they are working on. Remember the ideology of the Elites? One bank for all. This is what Paypal is building about.

I hate Poloniex, I don't know exactly why. I find the UI is irritating me. I logged 2-3 times and it's enough for me. Add the stories here and there with people having problems with them.... Bittrex is a good one, everything is ok, the only thing is I don't like the black color and my account has been compromised one-time several months back

It's a good site. I am using it since several months now and never have any problem. In fact, I got 1 had say the truth, I had a problem while registering but they have been very helpful to help me with my issue. Since then everything is going smooth. One of the advantages with Cryptopia is as they are not big as some others you get a better support from them, and not some copy pasted replies

I also agree this section is weird. A lot of stupid questions asked again and again for the 18th time. In 99% fo the time, it is already explained somewhere (in a previous topic, sticky thread..) To fix this, I'd firstly suggest a new sub-board for those with hacked/locked accounts to post in. It's obvious that this is a fairly large problem as of late, and having a single sub-board for it would make life easier for those needing to find these topics in addition to making the Meta section much more interesting to read and take part in.
What about to find why those accounts are suddenly compromised. And give rights to a Mod to unlock them.

Don't take this article seriously. I am surprised such a looooong and deep article has been published by the NYP John Crudele is anti Bitcoin and says it's bullshit. If you read random articles from him you will see he usually write a decent length article but when it's about Bitcoin, he writes 3-4 sentences only and brings nothing journalistic, only seeking attention on him. Here is another example with an article from him related to Bitcoin http://nypost.com/2017/09/16/bitcoin-fan-isnt-happy-i-said-the-currency-was-a-joke/

Traders are just watching the price without knowing what to with it. Most are balancing between to wait to see if the price will decrease again or to think "I should buy but but but....I don't know, why not wait..." Everyone is watching other to see what they do, but nobody does something, so they keep watching each other...

Since when the status is showing "success"? It showed that immediately when I did the transaction. Then they don't have a problem with funding only but with withdrawals too. When you request a transfer to your bank account the status shows "initiated" then "sending" (once you see this you're sure to receive the next day when you wake up) and finally "success"( is showing at the end of the day you got your payment) Hope you get your problem fixed asap. :/

Purse equals a 15%-30% fee. It would be my last resort Bitit requires 3D secure Paymium only accepts cards registered in France which is not my case (Malta) Purchasing my quest Purchasing Bitcoin with a card is usually charged higher, (~10%). So between a 10% fee to buy with your card and a 15% fee from Purse.io, there is only a 5% difference. Sometimes there are items listed for less than 15% also. There are still LocalBitcoin where I have seen some sellers accepting cards (usually with an app) but still a higher fees.
