881  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Irresponsible behavior at the Las Vegas Casino on: July 29, 2023, 10:41:42 PM
LFC is right!
People go to Vegas, you know why? Because: "What happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas".
People go to Vegas to party, to have fun, to do things they can't do somewhere else.. then go back to their normal/miserable lives.
If someone goes to Vegas and even if he gets into one of its casinos, it doesn't necessarily mean he is a gambler.
Stop seeing gamblers as degenerate persons.
882  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Had 165k ETH stolen last night. on: July 29, 2023, 09:55:12 PM
First, I'm sorry for your loss.
Based on the little information you have shared, I suppose this is your eth address: 0xbed5681AB526863c4CCee75e394db537A75DA761, right!
According to etherscan.io, you received 111eth from bitcasino.io then, few minutes later, ~28eth were sent to a contract address and the remaining balance sent to the address you have mentioned.

I'm not an expert when it comes to ethereum and other altcoins but I think your case has more to do with the smart contract than with the wallet you are using.
883  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Lotteries and possibility vs. probability on: July 29, 2023, 08:55:56 PM
I`ve never dreamed about super prize. For me it was like to pay percent for luck. After i stopped, i decided to read some more information about lotteries and knew that there is a percent that the organizer must pay as prizes. And usually it is about 50% from the sum of the sold tickets. The winner here is only organizer.
The new dreamers mostly bad in maths i think.

I am a bit surprised here! Did you think the organization or the entity behind the lottery is doing it for free! You don't need to read anywhere or ask anyone to realize that they are doing it for profit like any casino or any other service provider. They get their percentage from the total pot then give the rest to the winner(s).
Regarding your latest sentence, yes, the organizers are always the winners because they are not risking anything. Remember: "the house always wins".
884  Economy / Gambling / Re: betzus.com - Crypto+Fiat Online Casino, Sportsbook, Slots, Games on: July 28, 2023, 11:54:31 PM
as far as i know you can register from any country, but if you have any problems opening the site, which i did, you can just use a VPN.
I wouldn't recommend doing that! At least, contact customer service and ask them if it is OK to use VPN to access the casino or wait for their representative to give you the right answer. If the use of VPNs is prohibited then you mace troubles later when you want to withdraw your money.
I checked their terms of service and didn't find Austria on the list of restricted countries so not sure why it doesn't show on the drop-down list?
885  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Quit gamble! Easy or Hard? Let's talk. on: July 28, 2023, 11:31:10 PM
A drug addict can get better with rehab but a gambling addict can't get better with rehab because there are financial issues involved where emotions work harder. And it is this emotion that does not allow a gambling addict to quit gambling easily.

I beg to differ.
Addiction to gambling is mostly a psychological and mental addiction while addiction to drugs or alcohol is physical addiction. Logically, recovering from gambling addiction is easier if the affected person have the will and really want to recover.
Of course, the process is long and he needs professional assistance aside from the family and friends support.
886  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [Warning] Scammers have created fake crypto projects using the X.com name. on: July 28, 2023, 11:11:26 PM
If its a post it can be taken down or they will take action on it, but if its a paid ad they are not going to do that to refund the advertisers they will just recommend you block or hide the ads, and they will not do a refund they will deliver as many views and click on the ads based on the package, because Facebook is profit driven their users are their product and the advertisers is their cash cow, so they will always favor their advertisers.

I don't think this is correct. Even paid ads can be removed if it violates any of the policies of the platform. Also, after removing it, the publisher is unlikely to get his money back. I doubt they will refund him.
The problem with Google, fb.. is that they don't handle reports quickly and there must be many reports before they take it seriously and take an action.
887  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [Warning] Scammers have created fake crypto projects using the X.com name. on: July 28, 2023, 10:50:17 PM
Investors are supposed to be smart persons and usually do their own research before investing in any new project.
If Elon is to launch his own token then the first logical thing any smart investor would do is to check Elon's official account to verify the information.
888  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: walletgeneratordotnet scam Paper wallet generation scam on: July 28, 2023, 10:16:31 PM
You can blame Google, they show these sites as a first search result for words like wallet generator, generate bitcoin address, paper wallet, and they may also tell the user, generate the key offline to ensure that your coins are not stolen.
even open-source wallets can be completely flawed if the entropy that generates the private key or seed is not completely random or is written in pseudo-random.

You can try reporting the website to "Google safe browsing": https://safebrowsing.google.com/safebrowsing/report_phish/
Maybe they will remove it from their search results if many people report it.
There is a field where you can explain why you think the reported website is not safe and should be banned.
889  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gamble Responsibly on: July 27, 2023, 11:54:39 PM
..
I totally agree with you here. Gambling is a fan activity and if you become addicted to it then there are some good reasons. You can become addicted because you were left with a lot of money and no one would care about that money or because there was no one who could supervise you and had control aver you.
890  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Irresponsible behavior at the Las Vegas Casino on: July 27, 2023, 11:40:03 PM
He did all these shamefull acts because he was drunk not because he was a gambler.
A gambler can drink and can ran out of control but this is an exception. Anyone who is out of control isn't necessarily a gambler.
Let's keep gambling on this side and alcohol on the other side!
891  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Lotteries and possibility vs. probability on: July 27, 2023, 11:10:45 PM
..
You, somehow summarized it. Although the chances to win are to be neglected, but the there is still a small chance to win, and we should not neglect this small chance.
Porifirii, you made a great representation and I hope it will not be ignored by those who read this topic..
892  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Greed can cause a lost bet, (true or false) on: July 27, 2023, 10:39:07 PM
Is this really something we need to discuss! Grred=loss!

Is this what we are really up to?
Gres means that you are on the dark side, you are on the losing side..sorry, I can't promote a greedy person as a successful person, that he will never be. .

893  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: All green addresses are suitable for receiving BitCoins? on: July 27, 2023, 09:41:36 PM
Green addresses and yellow addresses, they all belong to your wallet. Whatever coins sent to any of these addresses, are yours and you will be able to recover them any time you want as long as you are the owner of the wallet (possess the wallet file or know the wallet seed).
Click on the "receive" button to get the address you need to share with the sender. It's as simple as that. You don't need to look for colors of addresses to figure out which one to use. Keep it simple!
on: July 26, 2023, 11:50:20 PM
896  Local / العربية (Arabic) / Re: Bitget+ الشرق الأوسط on: July 26, 2023, 10:56:41 PM
899  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Quit gamble! Easy or Hard? Let's talk. on: July 23, 2023, 11:57:28 PM
I like your point here, they have to determine from their heart to change if not everything will results into wasted efforts if care is not taken, there's a stage an addiction will get to and go beyond control except if the person involved willingly determined to change but it would have been too late i most cases because they would have been seriously dealt with and left with no other alternative to live than quitting.
It's not that those addicts don't want to recover from their addiction but it's what's known as "relapse".
After rehabilitation, some if not most adficts have a tendency to get back to their previous habits (addiction).
Rehabilitation takes time and full recovery from addiction needs a strong will and strong personality from the addict himself. Yet, there will be always a possibility for relapse.
900  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Greed can cause a lost bet, (true or false) on: July 23, 2023, 11:26:14 PM
It's just your bad luck, not greed. If it wasn't the last game you added, it could have been any of the other games.
I would consider it greed if you have added a game with a very high high multiplier which is unlikely to win. Based on the photo you posted, this is not the case since you nailed other games with higher multiplier.
I know how you feel but don't blame yourself and don't think of it too much. I would call it greed if the casino offered you a good cash out deal and you refused it.
