Thanks for you reply, as I can see that currently DMC does not have any assets directly involve in mining process.
and I think your use investor's dividend to buy back shares , that isn't look quiet right.....
for current situation, I think DMC is in a passivity position. I suggest it is better to suspend buying back of share ,and you should spend those amount to start mining as soon as possibly, for a trading company only rely on holding another company's share to pay for dividend isn't a sustainable way.  otherwise, no mean for  new investor to join this stock, since it will be much profitable to directly purchase share from ASICMINER

You're missing most of the story. A long time ago, DMC was listed on GLBSE, which was owned by a guy named nefario. nefario decided one day to just completely fuck over the entire Bitcoin community and shut down GLBSE without warning and also attempted to steal assets and funds, with DMC taking the brunt of this attack and surviving.

The DMC plan was to own a privately owned facility to house mining hardware and sell space as a data center. Thanks to nefario's actions, a lot of investors in the Bitcoin community left and never returned. I am not accepting new investors for the existing version of DMC at this time and will not be issuing new shares.

DMC 2.0 will be issuing original issue discount zero discount bonds issued by a registered C-Corp in the US.

Also, ASICMINER is not issuing new shares either. The only way to get a hold of them is either buy them privately from people who already own them, buy shares through a pass through (theres two out there), or invest in a company that also holds ASICMINER shares.

As you mentioned above, you will be buy back all the current shares of DMC and than start DMC 2.0?
For myself ,I am  interesting the plan you made for DMC 2.0 , When you start that plan is any way to subscribe shares for DMC 2.0?

Yes. And I think your question is if you can turn 1.0 shares into 2.0 bonds, and yes, I'll be offering that.

The plan for 2.0 is basically to disrupt the cloud computing market and eat Amazon and Rackspace's lunch. The whole thing can be done better and cheaper, and I intend on DMC 2.0 being the company to pull it off. But as I said, the official plan and announcement isn't ready yet.

OK, I think I am just wait for you to announce that plan ,and I will convert my shares into 2.0 bonds, if I am still hold the stock at that day.

I think the bonuses might be different for different countries then. Here in Norway it is NOK7500 ($1100) for NOK30000 ($5000). The rest of my math is correct, so it should be very easy to clear.

Even if what you are saying is true for UK, you need to remember you have 4:1 leverage so if you deposit £5000 you actually get to trade with £20000, making the £75000 requirement less than 4 full trades.

Of course I 100% agree that trading with leverage can be very risky, but so are most Bitcoin related things.

I have check the table ,leverage isn't count in trading point.....
We still need full trading of the £5500 for about 13 times.....

If you use the site to buy and hold you are correct, its probably best to avoid the bonus, but if you trade somewhat active you will go through bonus requirements in no time.

Lets do the math:
-If I deposit $5000 I get $1100 bonus.
-I need 1000 traderpoints to be able to cash this out.
-For every $1250 or about 10 Bitcoins that I buy or sell I receive 11.25 points.

All it would take to cash out this bonus will be to buy or sell 870 Bitcoins. With the 4:1 leverage I have $20 000 in buying power with my $5000 deposit so it would take me about 5 trades to be able to cash out. Not too bad, and if you have done any Bitcoin trading you know you can do that in a day Wink

you are wrong, that if you deposit £5000 you only get £500...if you deposit £7500 you will get £1000.
and for example, able to withdraw this £500, required £1000 trading point.
for trading bitcoin you will get 750 for 10.11 trading point. for that 500, you need to trading amount up to 75000.which mean you need hold full stock for 13.36 times.  I think this is very risk...and remember each time you purchased stock they will charge you.

If we hit double digits again - I'll pawn stuff to buy more btc if I have to.

Might wanna head to the pawn shop now because I just don't see how Bitcoin is not going to retest its lows and it will be in double digits long before that.  My feeling has been consistent with most that that's probably around the 50 mark.  Dosen't mean its coming in some huge crash but I feel like Bitcoin's long term viability depends on it.

Every up swing is based on pure speculation so even if it should launch to 1000 tomorrow, there's nothing really holding it up and thus...well...you know..."the bigger they are, the harder they fall."

I want cheaper Bitcoins like anyone but if you're a long term believer in Bitcoin, slow steady growth is what is needed to prevent all this volatility, that is keeping businesses from adopting this currency.

I am deeply agree with you that volatility will killing bitcoin for daily uses.

maybe they just make it up in fees somehow?

No other fees, in fact they have some very nice deposit bonuses:
http://www.plus500.com/en/Marketing/Promotion1.aspx?id=67176&pl=2

If you are only into Bitcoins for the trading, you probably save money by using them instead of Mt. Gox.

Their bonuses for me just like traps....you need at least accumulate trading amount up to 60 times of your deposit , then you can get withdraw you money...it is better not to take their bonuses.. but for some one who hold huge amount of BTC, it is wise to use their service to hedging the risk of BITCOIN.
887  Economy / Speculation / Re: Why most people here are happy to see bear coming and price drop? on: May 06, 2013, 07:50:01 PM
I only think this because those people can't afford current price of Bitcoin ,but they had realize that Bitcoin would be a good opportunity to increase their money. Those people willing to see the price drop and then buying...

Am I right? otherwise I can't figure out any benefit for them to expect a crash on BITCOIN .

If a day trader sells, then the day trader wants cheaper BTC to make a profit.

If someone is holding on to BTC, then a cheaper price means they can get even more BTC to hold onto for less money.

Everyone here wants a price that will make them the most profit.

For example, if the price goes under $10 and there is no real reason for this, for example its a panic sell because of a dropping price and not a flaw in SHA256. Then I start selling everything for BTC, including the wife....

Smiley
I like the way you talk.... especially the Wife part.. personally I want to join short-trade ,but my BTC had  stuck in the BITFUNDER. I can't sell my stock with right price...it is panic for me...really....

Hi, I purchased 500 DMC shares in Bitfunder, I have littel bit uncertain about the Assets and dividend structure of DMC. I hope you can explaining those questions to me ...thanks

Regards

Assets held:
106 BTC-MINING(what is this ? and what is 106 mean? is that mean DMC hold 106 share of BTC-MINING? if it is so where can I check their divivden and trading price ?)
1000 BTCMC (what is BTCMC ? and what is 1000 mean? is that mean DMC hold 1000 share of BTCMC? if it is so where can I check their divivden and trading price ?)
1000 ASICMINER (I think I know ASICMINER is that mean DMC hold 1000 shares of ASICEMINER? )

Dividends:
16.4785 BTC from DMC's ASICMINER shares before 4/24
15.08478 BTC from DMC's ASICMINER shares 4/24 and after
6.1135235 BTC from my ASICMINER shares

Last question is ,if DMC hold 1000 shares of ASICEMINER, why there are two dividend relating to ASICMINER. what is the differences between MY's ASICMINER shares and DMC's ASICMINER?  why not dividend from BTCMC and BTC-MINING?

Wow. Surely, before you bought DMC, you did your due diligence and checked what you are buying into (i.e. by reading this thread)?

This is the correct answer.

DMC owns 1000 shares of DMC, I had personally held an additional 371 shares (which I sold near the middle of last month) which I was giving the dividends for those to DMC shareholders.

BTC-Mining nor BTCMC is paying dividends for the time being. BTC-Mining (ran by Namworld) loaned it's money to a guy named AmazingRando who was bulk buying BFL units, but AmazingRando ragequit and took not only BTC-Mining's money but a few other people's as well; Namworld is trying to do something about it but he hasn't made much headway yet. If Namworld can't get the money back, the shares are worth nothing.

As for BTCMC has suspended dividends until their BFL units arrive. BTCMC is not currently trading anywhere, it was trading on GLBSE but GLBSE shut down. It is unknown what the shares are worth if BFL does not ship as BTCMC's current asset holdings are almost entirely GPUs.

DMC is currently in the process of buying back as many shares as possible or consolidating into as few shareholders as possible to move on to DMC 2.0 (which has not been officially announced yet as I'm still trying to pull together whats needed for this).

Thanks for you reply, as I can see that currently DMC does not have any assets directly involve in mining process.

Chinese --> "Yellow Danger" ;-)
Why ???if you hold large amount of bitcoin, you should appreciate more people jumping into it.
893  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Chinese will take over the Bitcoin Market. on: May 06, 2013, 04:54:47 PM
If the Chinese government allowed positive coverage of Bitcoin on CCTV, it's somewhat possible that it's because the Chinese government believes that stronger Bitcoin means weaker USD. Of course, stronger Bitcoin could also mean weaker Yuan. But regardless, I can't imagine that the censors were asleep at the wheel here. Also regardless, we probably can't complain about stronger Bitcoin.

Let's imaging one day all countries setting trading balance by BITCOIN....I just too believing in BTC concept...

There was a post somewhere saying that china had the most downloads of the bitcoin client for the day or for the past month.

http://sourceforge.net/projects/bitcoin/files/Bitcoin/stats/timeline

^^ here

The chinese people miner most Bitcoin over all network.. I feel BTC next Bullish will depend on them..
896  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Chinese will take over the Bitcoin Market. on: May 05, 2013, 11:51:57 PM
The Chinese will take over everything because they are cool like that.

As the Chinese miner the ASICEMINER had upgrade their system to 14200 GH/S.  almost double in past month, and equa to 17% of total.      this just crazy they miner 800 bitcoin per day,  caculate with current value they will generate a revenue about 25million USD in this year.....OMG
897  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Chinese will take over the Bitcoin Market. on: May 05, 2013, 07:32:00 PM
This reminds me of the online gambling world, where people spent years going "the Chinese are coming any day now and are going to make us all rich!". Since they're so far away and we don't really know what's going on so much there, it's easy to pin all our hopes on them.

one day, Bitcoin become equilibrium I think the demand for it will be huge.
898  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Chinese will take over the Bitcoin Market. on: May 05, 2013, 07:27:23 PM
I still fear it may be just a pump and dump, hopefully it starts to become widely used.

Regards,

Martin.

if people jumping only for speculation, then Bitcoin will be die soon.....

I hope will have more people really understand to Bitcoin, and use it as a currency.

I agree there will probably be some level of interest in China. How much impact that will have in the short term will depend on what sort of Chinese person takes an interest.

I think there are huge demand in China to transfer there money to abroad without regulator.

Yes, there are a lot of people in China but the average income is only a few hundred dollars a month.
Lets hope that the chinese do start to use bitcoin because then the value will skyrocket.

I think BTC is become more popular after the major media had report to it on Wednesday , more and more people will looking into it, Chinese people like new things and will take more risk ,because they natural are gamble. If you see the BTC price had increase those day after big crash on 1 of May. it might explaining that the report of BTC had made some effort.
