I have been connected all day.  Maybe it was because I was already signed in?

Will be interesting with the btc/usd dropping like a stone again what the ghs prices drop to.

Also with s5 coming we will see everyone dumping umisoo and s4 at any price to get s5 ghs.

Crazy but that is what happened when s4 came online also.

I was expecting that S4 price will go down.. but there is very strong defence..  Roll Eyes

Yeah it is a game right now but I think the reason you are not seeing s4 go down is it is the best value/risk at the moment.

If btc/usd goes down more umisoo will shut off far before s4.   If btc/usd climbs then your s4 will be worth more anyways.  S4 are the safest bet for now until s5 come out.

However, if btc/usd spikes to over 260 fast then getting umisoo cheap is a better value.

Edit- if btc/usd goes down too much more people will sell umisoo to grab s4 as well.

For me I will buy the s4 as it is the best bet and you are covered both up or down in btc/usd price.

885  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Is Xapo a scam?? on: January 28, 2015, 05:40:23 PM
There are many faucets offering double the amount if you use Xapo and even offering when you even register a xapo account,i am sure it will prove itself a scam in the near future once lots of btc gets stored in it.. no other wallet's have such promotion's, And we can't even register without a Credit/debit card..as it requires pin.

Micro wallet and Faucet.org are the safest to store bitcoin and online wallet's we can trust.

lets hope you are wrong  Cry

Thanks admin for adding average daily income and weekly est payout !

i do like the feature of adding the average payout calculations, but is it me or has anyone else noticed there is no longer a section that has the estimated bitcoin difficulty as to weather it will go down or up. If it is just me please let me know cause i kinda liked looking at it there without having to look on the web

These guys can't write a article and leave us hanging.  We seriously need an update from them.  Hope everyone tells them politely they can't just drop a conveniently positive article and run.  Their positive spin potentially stole thousands of dollars from people that were swayed by this type of media coverage.

Perhaps if more people were to contact him, he will update his post. I encourage everyone to contact them also. Here is my email to paul.vigna@wsj.com & michael.casey@wsj.com

Capitulation like in fetal position under a desk. That sort of thing. Like this here message board in general despair and uproar.

It just didnīt look convincing to me. Maybe Iīm wrong, I hope so. Only time will tell.

And no, I didnīt say it was too much volume. Just that for once when this thing gets significantly above the usual microscopic volume itīs a big down - looks bearish to me.

The market has gone down so much that bad news or big problems could send it as low as sub 100$ but if we don't get the bad news it is likely to recover to more than 300$ in a month. AMHash1 customers will profit nicely.

trust me i am waiting for the price of bitcoin to recover to $300 - $400 range. Like you said people with amhash1 will be making a nice profit, and those that bought when price dip low even more profit  Grin
889  Economy / Securities / Re: AMHash1: Cost-Effective Mining Contract on: January 28, 2015, 05:08:25 PM
Shares price meanwhile reached 0.00111000. Not bad in such a short time. Congrats to all who took the risk and bought a few days ago.

the current price point offers great reward for everyone who has held from day1 and those who entered in at the bottom have now doubled up their coins  Cool Grin Cheesy Cool

I agree at this price point anyone who bought  AMhash 3 at .0012 and held (like me  Grin) already made an ROI if they sold today.

this is stuff that makes me sad at times wish i had more faith and more steel balls and bought more instead of acting like affread little girl oh well no point in crying about it  now

Investing has nothing to do with balls or manliness.  Also, faith is not a requirement as far as AMHash goes.  You know exactly what you are getting.

i was not referring to actual balls like saying you have to be a man just want to clarify. I was just saying that if i had the confidence i would have bought up amhash at chaep prices. Its like if a friend gives you insider stock tip and you do not act on it out of fear and doubt, pretty much same thing i was trying to say  Cry

Just as reminder, for anyone selling there Bitcoins for Fiat Currency in the UK, the escrow website:

https://localbitcoins.com/

Sellers are getting 6%-7% over the Dollar conversion price.  The Uk's "Fast Payment" is free within the UK as well.

Always check feedback before selling, more then 20 feedback, verified identity, account must be in buyers name, etc

Every little bit helps Wink

wow 6-7 % conversion that is pretty steep i think

Prices are astonishing in the UK Huh

Localbitcoins website in the USA, you can actually buy Bitcoins below Bitstamp/Coindesk/BTC-E prices Cheesy

GTX 960 is $210 in the USA, in the UK (after dollar to pound conversion) is $288 Shocked

A 32% mark up in price and none of the manufacturers have their customers services in the UK Cheesy

I've been trying to get out of the UK 4 years, but it is like when you step in some Dog Sh*t, no matter how much you try to scrape it off, it always finds a way to keep itself glued to your sneakers  Wink Cheesy

lol well then thank you for the colorful word description  Tongue sounds like it might be time to just say screw it and throw away the whole shoe and get some new ones   Grin

What happened with Hashie?

blablablabalabla

What have we learned?
(1) Sanity check data sources and throw error if there's an unexpected value.
(2) Sanity check purchasing and make sure the price is always >0.
(3) Code review -- being the solo developer isn't the best idea for a bitcoin project.

I plan on launching a few new bitcoin projects in the future (many interesting ideas Smiley ), so if you're a web developer who is interested in working together (development, code review, sysadmin, etc) in upcoming projects for equity, contact support@hashie.co.

Don't worry, I'm not touching cloud mining, or web wallets, or lending, ever again.

892  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: HASHNEST Discussion and Support Thread on: January 28, 2015, 05:01:31 PM
I just signed up for Hasnest.

I need advise here.

What GH I shod buy? Ants 2,3,4 or umisoo?

UMISOO is the cheapest but the most risky. THe most stable will be the newest generation of miners so probably S4

I am curious - if UMISOO is running on S2s, why is there an S2 option too?

Umisso is run by a third party and has much more hashrate then the S2 list. I would stay away from S2 and just buy UmIsso if you wsnt S2 power since its more or less the same in terms of payout. (S2 is actually slightly worse than UMIsso)

wait so Umisoo is run by a third party? I thought all the hashing power at hashnest was run by bitmain and all maintained there in house so they had full control of everything? Is there confirmation of umisoo being run by other site and if so can you please post it 1st time i have heard something like this said
893  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: HASHNEST Discussion and Support Thread on: January 28, 2015, 04:58:50 PM
Well I just threw .5btc into the hat on umisoo. Got ~1.8 TH out of it.

So can anyone tell me how payouts work? Does it just get credited to my btc balance? Or do I need to specify an external address somewhere?

Also, inside settings I see a checkbox that says "I agree to use USD for maintenance fees" - what is that? Should I have it checked?

Sorry for the newbie questions, the site isn't the most user friendly

Edit: NM, just saw that earnings are credited immediately. Ok, that's pretty damn cool.

when you buy umisoo will show how much you have in shares then each day you will be paid out the earnings Minus the maintanance fees ofcourse. I really do not know what time they make payments i know they say they have a set time but never seem to be with what i am told unless i am converting the time zones wrong as i am in the USA and they are not

As of right now, it looks like after a block is solved after a few minutes it gets credited to your account immediately, and it's available for withdrawal immediately. Like I said, it's pretty cool Smiley Never seen a system that makes it available so fast.

i thought the website / service at cex.io gave you the earnings right there on the spot. Unless i missed something i swear when i was logged into my account would always be popping up " your payout XXXX for block XXXXX " all day long. I have not been on there in like 2 months so not sure if it has changed

@GAWCEO
So longtime GAW customers and paycoin supporters from the beginning cannot get any preferential treatment on this payout process? Is there a legal reason for this I assume?

Just hate the fact that some bct user currently on a mission to destroy paycoin will be cashing out for $20 along with others here and they have never mined hash points or been in paybase...

Indignation growing at hashtalk now that Gaw has finally owned up to nothing special for those who sacrificed the most. This must hurt. Again I say; "poor sobs". Where's that gif of Gaw bending someone over a stump?

I wonder how hard xpy will dump now? Long time customers were holding out hope for preferential treatment. Now they have to throw their coins in with the masses. The masses may very well speculate on the buyback if the coin keeps dipping diluting the escrow coins more. Glad I'm not holding right now otherwise I would be getting OUT.

https://hashtalk.org/topic/30401/honors-program-q-a/103

I can buy PayCoins on Craptsy for $2 and get $20 for them later, guaranteed?  Seems legit, but is it true?

Sign me up for the Honors Ponzi.  BRB selling kidney.

ohhh can i sign up to i can cash in my grandmother and grandfather social security checks here on the 1sr of the month. I am sure they will be amazed how i double or tripple the original amount

898  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Bitcoin debit card on: January 28, 2015, 04:44:45 AM
Okay! this seems really good and lil pissed that we don't have it in India.
Do you ship to canada?
and will it work if i get it to India ?

Yes, we do ship to Canada.
If your ordinary Visa card works in India, so should ours.

Yes ordinary visa-cards work in India , then why can't you just ship to India directly instead of making me get it to canada and get it shipped ? :-/

it is a limitation of the card issuing bank, which itself is limited by rules/regulations. As far a we are aware, this is due to strict rules imposed on currency exchange related transactions in India.
If you order the card to be delivered to India, the request will be rejected by the bank - unfortunately there is nothing we can do about it right now. In future we may consider finding a partner bank in India, given there is sufficient demand, but this is not on the table just yet

AND i am pretty sure the reason why the card can't be shipped to the people in the USA is because of the same issues? Despite the fact that the cards is in USD is this correct? As far as demand goes i am sure plenty of people in the USA might want to try this card out for stuff like everyday purchases

Yes, you are absolutely right.
Hope to be able to address this sooner rather tan later

me so sad panda for long time  Cry

i cant fing my wallet adress in xapo..
where can i see it?
i really dotn understand Smiley

Xapo has a new feature you address will change every time you received a one payment so be carefull

Right suman,  we have recently implemented this rotating-wallet address feature for added security!

but are you still able to send payment and get deposits credited to right account if lets say people are interested in having bitcoin from lets say mining operation go right into Xapo? I am sure people do not want to keep changing addresses for payments to go to and all that good stuff lol, now we just need to get Xapo card to people in the USA  Wink

Of course, you can still deposit the same address multiple times.

Ok thank you good to know  Smiley
