Oh, first I heard about that tbh, Recieved and transferd over 0.5 BTC already wtih Xapo :p
All the deposits made to you so far have been from me xapo :p

Owyeah, about the donations, I would suggest making a little sidebar with the lastest 10 donations or so, and minimum 1 bit (10 satoshi) needs to be donated and than you get your name there with url of choice? Cheesy
for those little donations Cheesy

Actually, I already list the donations that I receive on the credits page Wink
This is taken from the feedback page: " Contact us for donations above 0.05 and we will put you on the credits page with your name and website if applicable. "

Other than that, I received 1 anonymous donation of 0.0007 which was very kind of whomever did place it. Thanks!

Update
The site will soon go into maintenance mode. I will update the maintenance page with information as to how the update is going.
The maintenance will start within 30 minutes from now.
NOOOOOOOO NOT Maintenance mode lol, how long will the maintenance mode last? I just woke up and it is like 1 feet of snow and ice outside i need something to do lol before i go crazy looking at the cold nothing ness here  Tongue

I see this on my dashboard on cloudminr :"-5.91% in -1 days Next difficulty". Can someone explain? Does it mean the difficulty went down 5.91% a Day ago?

Nope...difficulty changed - 1,37% a day ago.

I think this is the best link where u can find numbers: https://bitcoinwisdom.com/bitcoin/difficulty

Yes -1.37% a day ago and now the cloudminr dashboard :

"-12.36% in 14 days Next difficulty" Big profits ahead  Tongue
LOL if and thats a big IF difficulty drops 12.36% next turn i will be happy as hell. I also would be a little bit worried as to where all hash rate is going to. Maybe its time to turn on my 3  7950 video cards to move the btc hashrate  Cool

in case you interested i found another forum that seems to be more active than this post here where i see people talking and sharing experiences " all good for most part " Check it out if you interested  Wink          https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=893226.new#new
1504  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Anybody here uses Shift or Xapo debit card? on: December 18, 2014, 06:12:04 AM
I just received my Xapo debit card and it works pretty well. It's funny to think that if I receive my wages (I can't since my employer is not in US) through https://www.bitwage.co/ to my Xapo bitcoin address I can literally be 100% functional in society with no bank account. I can even mitigate the risks of volatility with https://bitreserve.org/

My mind is kind of blown out.
that is FREAKING AWESOME dude so even though you are in canada, the funds in the card are in USD is this correct? If it is correct is there some reason why it is not in Canadian dollars. Again let me say how cool it is, if i may ask how long did it take you to receive the card from when you order it. If you come to the USA are you able to use the card in the USA and IF you use the card in the USA will you have to pay the 3% conversion?
This is him essentially using a "bank" (xapo) and whenever he uses his card he is essentially selling bitcoin.

I would much rather see a higher merchant adoption rate then more people using xapo

Me too but I see this as a step in the right direction for consumers. Now I am willing to hold more bitcoins because they are literally more useful than fiat at this point. I can use bitcoins with my phone any time I want but if I can't, I can use the card. I can now make bitcoin a real lifestyle.
yes sir i agree with everything you said here and i really hope xapo succeds and implements tougher security for people who get temptep. I was going to ask are the cards branded visa or mastercard or anything like that and do they have your name printed on them in case merchant asks for name to match id?

Interesting sale over at Bitmain:  https://www.bitmaintech.com/productDetail.htm?pid=000201412171033028658LE40FU705ED

Although it would appear that AMHash is cheaper....

Hahah wow! That would be interesting, wouldn't it?  Good old bitmain Smiley

dam that is crazy, alot of people on gaw forum are saying this might be josh from gaw trying to make a getaway to his own little island away from everything lol. Dont really know if this is true or not but timing is kinda weird i say  Huh

Homero is too young to retire so I don't see him kicking it on the beach the rest of his life. I think he's got at least one more con left in him.

That said, I really think Hong Kong might be the place. China has no extradition treaty with the U.S. and Edward Snowden even hid there successfully a while ago. Plus, it will keep him in the game. It is a BTC haven and he can easily start another shady exchange like bter.

Better start working on your Cantonese now Homero!

he can use paycoin to buy some rosetta stone lessons haha, maybe i can go have lunch with him nothing like cheap chinese food hope he dont put koolaid potion in it

true i agree with what you are saying but this is still awsome it is a step in the right direction in my humble opinion i would say. I am sure as time passes more and more merchants will allow use of bitcoin asap it is just i am sure they affraid of having to wait for confirmations. Imagine being at walmart and having to wait for even 1 confirmations lol

So I'm guess Josh tweeted this so he doesn't have to prove he has any miners.  He can go ahead and say he sold it all

1511  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Advice for new users regarding CLOUD MINING on: December 17, 2014, 10:18:55 PM
I simply cannot imagine a scenario of CEX tripping belly up. What could happen? Alien invasion? An earthquake? A meteorite?
Even if the price of GH/s falls to zero they do not care because they charge for the maintenance costs. At some stage they will just turn off the miners but in this production cycle the old miners will be replaced by the new ones with better GH/s vs costs of electricity ratio. They can prolong this game as long as there are miners in existence and people willing to buy more hashing power at better prices. Pricewise they are fary ahead of any competition and they are selling very expensive GH/s with very expensive maintenance fees. For this money they can have cutting edge technology solar powered DC with dirt cheap miners.
That's why I think CEX is well and far from falling.
cex has solar power for the miners? If this is true that is so awesome alternative energy powering the alternative $$$$ i like the ring of that. If cex would cut maint fees by 50% of what they are now i think people would be all over them in a heart beat. I know i for sure would invest more in them maybe a whole 1 or 2 btc lol dont laugh im poor i know  Cry

If they have solar power energy they have higher costs. To cut the maintenance fees by 50% and still make money, they would need to move in a cheaper country and really think low cost. The price per GHS would go up a lot.
if they use solar power they might have higher costs at the start to buy solar panels and set up. Then thats all you spend the rest is used to ROI on power bill / solar panels. Most places i think are like 2-6 years dependind on cost of energy and amount of sunlight

For solar panels, ROI depends on how much the state is subsidizing the buying.
i guess you are right about that had forgot alot of states in the usa was offering to pay off some of the cost to get new solar panels for residental homes not sure if apply to company

When will the open market trading start for amhash3 ?
Quote
Each unit of AMHASH3 purchased will be swapped for a unit of AMHASH1 at the end of this offering
... and it will end at 2015-01-10 or when all 1M units will be sold (currently 542363 sold out).
Only 391,862 units more to go!
381265...   This will go quickly.  The dropping difficulty makes it a really good buy, IMO.

yeah but dropping price makes it a not that great buy IMO
how...the more the diff drops the more btc you will make since amhash is fixed, unless you think it will go under 300$, then yea just hold onto your btc
you are talking about dropping btc price right

dropping difficulty increases payout but dropping BTC price reduces payout.BTC lost around 5% of it's value but the difficulty dropped % so expect a reduction of around 3% for now.
i agree the shares will sell faster as more people would want to get more ghs while the difficulty is down or even evening out for some time. I personally would not be bothered by another drop in difficulty  Grin
1513  Economy / Securities / Re: AMHash1: Cost-Effective Mining Contract on: December 17, 2014, 10:12:41 PM
yep and no 2fa or email? really no email address/not secure either (no SSL connection) lol here's hoping you don't forget your password/hacked..

Icon
We have SSL connection now.

The page is just a store front, i would not be holding BTC there for any length of time, after that i don't need a password, email or 2fa
Yes,it's just a simple store now.And you only can buy AMHash3 now.
You can transfer to havelock or hashie when we open the tranfer.
BEING able to do the transfers from hashie to havelock will be a good thing i personally think. I cant wait for this to take effect as i am sure so are other people  Wink

Nah.. 30 weeks or 40 weeks is nothing to me. Playing with bitcoin for about two years. Starting out with zero, end with three dollars now.. Yeah.. three dollars.. :L .

That's... INFINITE ROI  Grin
lol infinite ROI that is good made me laugh spit out my drink, but i guess in a sense you are correct since you did not buy anything with your own money but good lord willing to wait so long is crazy

1517  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Is Xapo a scam?? on: December 17, 2014, 06:25:09 PM
The message "You don't have enough funds to send the amount entered." appears sometimes. Just wait and withdraw will work again.

I'm not sure are they scam or not. I just don't like this wallet.
They attracted people offering +50% to every faucet bonus, but to withdraw money you have to verify your phone number. It's small cheating IMO.

I created a xapo account, about two months atraz.
and have been putting satoshis it. one day I tried to make a withdrawal, and this message appeared !!!
I was very disappointed, I tried several other times the withdrawal, did not work.
what was the amount you was trying to take out i ask since sounds like funds comming from a faucet. If so i wonder if they have a minimal amount to take out bitcoin

Smiley so, any comment from hashie maybe about pointing to pools? or at least about miner mods?

Did you already contact them? Usually the faster way to get a reply.
i would agree with you 100% if i ever got reply but in all honesty i only asked them 1 time now if someone else has asked and got reply feel free to post answer on here for rest of us  Grin

WAIT so if you try to enter something before a captcha appears you will be locked out for 24 hours is this correct? If this is correct kind messed up but all will be forgiven if you create sim city style mining game lol
