Some technical remarks about the recent price action: https://twitter.com/btcization/status/1395053801061634049?s=21

TL;DR: leveraged traders wiped out, whales took in loads of BTC on the cheap.

I talked to someone I got into BTC years ago today. He had a trading account with 2.3BTC, lost all of it, margin called. Lesson learned he said.

So one thing about this latest dump is that none of the big names who have been expressing an interest in the last several months are saying negative things, quite the opposite it would seem. I'm glad to see that they have actually decided to look into the technology itself, if they didn't they wouldn't be making these comments IMO.

When I would sign up for a new broker using options in the legacy market, they would force me to answer many questions about it to make sure that I understand what I'm getting into. The exchanges should probably have something similar to make sure that noobs understand the technology, rather than just signing up to get rich quick. This is probably why very few/none of us here have ever panic sold our holdings.

Also, definitely some large dip buyers in the market right now.

Any proper idea for why the global hash rate is decreasing? All I've found was a correlation with the price, but imho it's not enough.

There's stories of Mongolia moving their hardware to different places and shifting to green(er) energy.

old, now unprofitable miners being turned off?

The current state of dip: 53%.

This drop is so much like March of last year. I think it was down a similar amount and felt very much the same.

Of course we all remember what happened after that.

Shout out to the shittiest exchange in existence (Coinbase) - it conveniently stops working when there is something interesting going on in the market, therefore preventing me from mindrusting my corns in panic.

got to use stamp

EDIT: hahah CMC shit itself

It's fun to watch the market now. Where are those Elon worshippers?

I think he made quite a big booboo with those tweets.
I doubt people will forget that.
He basically started the entire market to tank whichever coin you believe in.

Sure, it's not just him and he might have just been the front of whatever is going on with co-ordinated whales and banks. But I doubt he fully comprehended the distaste that will exist towards him and possibly his products with what he started.

Yeah and here's what will happen. Someone who lost everything because they sold their leveraged long, and then the price bounced will make an attempt on his life.

All bitcoiners will be denounced as murderers and that will be used another round of FUD to bring the price down from 200k.

Damn so much blood on the streets !

We're still over the price most "institutional investors" bought at, no ?
Ya and what do they say about blood in the streets? Sell everything and bleed out? Hmmm what was it, I feel like there is a basic rule of investing that has to do with blood in the streets.   Huh Grin Grin

Anyone not buying this has not spent enough time with bitcoin. They will learn tho when they are regretting the position they could have taken now when we are above 6 digits

Unfortuantely, I only get paid fortnightly.
I'm sorry for your loss

doesn't matter, I'll continue the usual DCA.

It could dump all the way back to sub $30k..

By the end of the day.

This is fucking outrageous, we’re losing so much money.

Honestly, at this point I'm thinking the bull is dead for another 4 years. If we don't bounce soon, and to the mid 40s it's definitely over.

Please bro, don't say definitely<- this word, we all don't know how or what, we just HODL...

definitely this word only reflects the youtubers, TA guru's etc... the people we all laugh with, cause nothing is definitely, we follow the narrative as we already do for years...

Can't beleive I wrote that, but that's my mental state right now.
894  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: May 19, 2021, 01:21:41 PM
God damn I have to admit I forgot how a real dump feels. Those corrections before we hit 64k were just funny.

Yeah, feeling pretty depressed right now, reminds me a lot of last year.

As long as you hold nothing has changed. 1 BTC = 1 BTC. I am pretty suprised by all this but thinking about it now it was predictable. Every youtuber only was talking about 450k bitcoins. I even told myself that Elon will dump the coins and make the market crash. You can not trust these greedy assholes. But did not expect it happen this early.

I won't fucking sell

They want cheap coins.

We think the cryptocurrency space has just kind of hit an evolution and maturation of its development that allows it now to be a viable investable asset.

well they better fucking buy them.

God the emotions one gets from BTC. I'm starting to feel sick right now, 2 weeks ago it was all sunshine and lollipops.
899  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: May 19, 2021, 12:57:48 PM
What the hell am I missing?

I was (and am) planning to buy a significant amount at an amount that is within reach, but I'd never have thought that we'd actually get there again...

Well then.

Buy the dip guys.

wish I could

how can there be any sellers left

bitstamp is making 1k jumps and drops over seconds
