881  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin $5k rise within an hour plus. on: October 28, 2023, 06:04:49 AM
We aren't there yet, this is just the preparation for what is about to get unveiled, bitcoin breakout is setting in gradually and the target is aiming towards $38,000 we should be getting ready for the massive move once again sooner, there have been more to the reason why we experienced this sudden breakout, if you look as well towards the market today, it has been resisting over the bear by maintaining higher position above $34,000 we cannot predict what the subsequent days of the month will be, but as expected, the market is  likely to reach $38,000
OP wouldn't write that if we aren't there yet. Numbers don't lie. Just check the price now for you to believed it. But yeah this is only the beginning of something big. That wasn't $38k, but it is $100k or more. The reason why we experience such movement is might be to that BTC spot ETF. Other than that, people are still excited for the Bitcoin halving because we are getting close to it. You said we can not predict the market but how come you are so positive about that $38k?

But, I'm also going to be happy if we can continue to it for a while before the momentum stops. That way, we can still see an improvement after months of being in a stagnation mode.
882  Economy / Speculation / Re: Has anybody expected this? on: October 28, 2023, 05:29:03 AM
There have been many predictions that this bull season will be the biggest bull season ever because we have many big events such as ETFs approvals, halvings and, if we are luckier, it will also be when the economy enters the recovery period. All of these are powerful catalysts and if that happens we will certainly have an unprecedented bull season. There have been many predictions that bitcoin could exceed $200k or $250k for the next bull season instead of $100k as we expected.

The price of bitcoin will be higher after each bull cycle and that is why when bear season comes we should take advantage of buying as much as possible instead of waiting for further drops to buy.
250K could be a little way too over the top, I think peaking at 200k would be the highest we would probably do and I am not even expecting that much. I think 100-150k range is good and healthy enough that it would probably what we are going to see anyway. I get that it may not be all that easy and great to do but it will definitely reach to a point where it can be done.

I hope that we could get to a point where we could reach to a point where it could result with some sort of situation where it may not be all that crazy. I am not saying it's impossible though, I mean this is bitcoin we are talking about and reaching 250k wouldn't be impossible within the next 2 years or so, it probably won't happen but it is not impossible. I am hoping that we could get to a point where reaching 250k would be small, and we would want even more, but that is just not realistic at this point and peaking above 100k is the first goal that I have in mind, that's the most important to me.
883  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Do Not Lose Everything Youve Gained in One day, or One Trade on: October 27, 2023, 02:32:31 PM
People are greedy.

I also experienced this once, because my mindset is that if I won a trade using my technical analysis, I can win the next trade that I'm going to make with a higher leverage for an easy profit, but it's not as simple as that, because trading is not always Christmas. We always forgot the risk management and the right management of our funds and profit, that's why we always lose everything and the rage trading will start.

Chasing the losses is the most case scenario for newbie traders, trading randomly because of their frustration hoping to make profits without any plan at all.
Yeah that is definitely not an easy thing to do and I understand the logic and I understand why it looks so difficult for a lot of people. I am not saying that you shouldn't do it, all I am saying is that if you really want to do it at least be aware that you could lose all your money if you do it, that would be the most logical thing. I know that we are going to want to do something that would get us a lot of return and the greedy nature of the people could make them trade like this.

So, the middle ground is that if you really want to do it, then you should simply just end up doing it with very little money so that you wouldn't end up with losing all of it at the single trade. The mistake there was that OP's friend invested ALL his money to a single trade, that is way too much risk, there is no need to put that much money into that much risk. If you really want to try it, then just do like 5% of your portfolio into a single trade and learn the hard way that it can be gone, and all you would end up could be 5% loss.
884  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How much could you earn in a day ? on: October 27, 2023, 02:01:03 PM
Failures and losses had come first before we learn how really trading life is. Yes, I thought before when I began trading I could earn instantly but sadly, the opposite thing happened. I began to wonder and keep searching online and watching YouTube looking for ideas that could help improve my trading journey.
Losses and failures seem to be a reason why we should have to learn more and not just be confident about learning the basics but instead, try to work more. Our experience will be teaching us what are the things needed for us to improve and what are the things that we need to stop.
Even though we can learn from others and we can practice, we will still do trading in our own and we will use a real money. Losses and failures can come here. Trading is not as simple as it sounds or as we see on our timeline because what we can sometimes see are only the final result.

We only got amazed and rush. That is the time we realize that we are wrong or maybe we can say that we got fooled, but it was actually our fault too. Apart from losses and failures, the reason why we need to learn more is to be able to grow or improve more as a trader. I guess you guys already know what that means or what are its benefits.
885  Economy / Speculation / Re: Can it be real bull or just a temptation. on: October 27, 2023, 11:08:21 AM
I do believe that this was the beginning of the real bull market, before the breakout occurred, which got us to this very level of $35k, there was a pattern I saw on the weekly chart in which the breakout led to the previous bull market that saw us hit $69k ATH I wanted to open a thread here and discuss, but later to discover the following morning that Bitcoin already started its move and began to follow this very pattern, the next target we are going to test is $40k price level.
I think this is just a temptation of the market and not a real sign that the bull season has come. Bitcoin suddenly increased in price just because of ETF-related news and it will quickly stop if no more news is released. As for whether the SEC will approve an ETF or not, I think even if they approve it, it won't happen this year. But with what is happening showing the positive impact of ETFs on the market, I believe that if we combine ETFs and halving, we will have the biggest boom ever for the market.
I don't think so. Gone are the days that we can't pass $32k and the pattern seems to repeat but now that we finally broke it, maybe there is some change that we can witness. Anything can still happen so it's just better to not expect too much and just wait for the price to reach a true high level where we can say that the bull run is already there.

ETF news are still hot but there will be a time that people will get bored about it but maybe there are other positive news that will come in? That can make the momentum continue and we can witness a rise even at a slow paced. That can still be on the equivalent of the big boom that you are talking about there.
886  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is Bitcoin In Bullish or Bearish Trend? on: October 27, 2023, 06:38:34 AM
Let's analyze it one after the other, currently now we are in dip season, but the market is pumping and we are moving towards an exit to this if we consider from where bitcoin has started to fall continuously till we are here today, we should also know that the bullrun is not yet started, we are only having a gradual experience in approaching it, now to your question OP, we can conclude by saying we are on a bull market presently sice the market is fast rising.
Yes, we are still at the dip because we haven't go out yet beyond $31k, so I won't say that the market is pumping. What we only feel these past days are just a slight recovery. I think this is due to the rumored ETF that is expected to be approved by the SEC. If this was finally passed then maybe it can still be a gateway for something huge or like you said, it this lead us to finally exist this bear market.

I really hope so because man this bear lasted for almost 2 years now I think but I'm sure we are going to get out of it next year. So for now, just make sure you guys already have stacked enough coins to enjoy the bull run really well. You've been warned Wink.
887  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: A Nigeria socialite went all in on this sport bet on: October 26, 2023, 05:53:14 PM
Early hours of today,  one of the Nigeria billionaire business man E money shared his bet slip online for fans to see how much he splashed on the game between Chelsea vs Asernal which already on and Cheslea leading with 1:0, this brought me to the point of asking what your opinion on celebrities staking higher amount and still be ok to publicly show it and do not feel any thing even if the ticket cut just like what happened to Drake last few weeks back.
There is no currency symbol so I assume that 5M he staked was Nigerian money because he is from Nigeria. I did some conversion and found that the amount is only equals to 6655.00 in US dollars. It was still big for a normal individual but not really big for a billionaire or a social elite like him. Maybe the big deal here is he is only publicizing his bet.

Gambling is unpredictable but some types of it like for example this sporting event might be possibly predicted with the right set of analysis. But after all, I know that the chance of losing is still there. Oh well, he must only hope for the best and once he lose the money, I know that he won't despair too much since it might only be the money that he can afford to lose.
888  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ICC WORLD CUP 2023 DISCUSSION THREAD! on: October 26, 2023, 05:06:09 PM
Really surprising and disappointing performance by england,

They were less then 1.3 odds pre match and managed to score only 156 runs

Sri lanka were never in danger, except the first 6 overs maybe when it was  45-0.. Insane  to think england lost TEN wickets and scored only 111 runs.. wow Shocked
Most of the time odds are trap by bookies for the punters I never consider them for any team's performance Sri Lanka were performing much better than England with their bowling and batting both were on good form, but England were having not good things from the start of this event which hurt them badly and now at the end they are out of the event after playing just five games and having just one win against Bangladesh and second could be against the Netherlands, but I have doubt in this case as well.

Few are arguing about their injured players, but I am not going to accept this statement as well because they are still going with their 90s policy which never give them any success in this format they need to work on improvement from the grass-root if they want better results otherwise they could be face backlash like this in future as well.
889  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Inspiring Projects Shaping the Future on: October 26, 2023, 12:09:32 PM
Well, the number of cryptocurrency enthusiasts in this era is already a miracle, right? It started with Bitcoin with just thousands of people who believe in this technology and now I bet there are millions who are either investing their money in cryptocurrencies, using it as their means to gamble, trading and who knows if they are also using it to buy their needs in the market. That's already a part of shaping the future so there's no doubt we are in an era where more people are getting used to this type of technology and it's not stopping anytime.
Not thousand but lower than it. It's hard for the many to be convinced with Bitcoin back in the early time. The price skyrocketing and the adoption from big names is what helped them. BTC is a currency. This is it's primary use but there were also lots of people who use their BTC to activities that you said.

There are still people who tries to stop it but they aren't really a big threat anymore. So, there is no need to worry about them. Cryptos may be fast growing but what about when dumping? While other investments are seem to be more stable than it. There is a hard work here. Resisting ones emotion is already an example. So you deserved it if you successfully earn.

Being the manager of your own investment is something I just wished for before and now we can really do it by ourselves.
Oh really? Didn't knew that, but I think people are only wishing for a decentralized currency before, and that is why BTC was created. But it's great that BTC can serve the same purpose. This is its other advantage compared to investing in banks and other centralized platforms/assets.
890  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is Islamic Coin? A Muslim Community Coin 🔥 on: October 26, 2023, 09:53:41 AM
Yes, ranked 2190th out of all 8886 active crypto coins with $0.2805 value. So I do not see any future for this coin, because altcoin market have too much coins already, and transfer fees through ETH network are high.
See more here - https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/islamic-coin/
I see that you don't liked it but your opening message seems too positive. Anyway, at first I didn't believe when you say that there are only 8k something active crypto because I think that was too tiny but it was actually true when I researched it again.

There are millions of crypto but many of them are dead, I guess that was also better so that we can lessen the pressure or the load in the market. It's impressive if that was the current rank of this coin shared here by the OP despite being new or is it really? Because the name sounds familiar to me. It seems I heard the coin somewhere before. But good luck to them and to those who are going to invest on it.
891  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What Coin is Best for short term speculation on: October 26, 2023, 08:28:29 AM
For short term, meme is the best one, move fast, capturing profit and move to other reputable coin, or just go with btc until settle, trade alt with btc pair in bullrun to maximize profit, and trade with stable coin when downturn
But I think they are very risky. They are not different to those shit, scam, pump & dump coins. Maybe some of you thinks they are harmless because they are hiding on the cute name and logo. If you have a plan to move into a reputable coin, then why can you just move on to them immediately?

There is no need to complicate things anymore. There is no need for us to waste money, and time. We should make every drop of money counts. It is needed to attain a maximal profit when the bull run time has arrived. BTC is much superior to altcoins so what you are planning there is fine but I don't want to convert it again with a stable coin as they are also risky. I mean they are centralized and they can depeg.
892  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will $BTC soar beyond 35K or dip below? 🚀📉 on: October 26, 2023, 06:48:52 AM
Bitcoin is wanting, Bitcoin is winning as we can see from the graph on your phone or computer Dashboard, BTC has experienced a fantastic rise in the near future, against all odds.

There are a lot of unknowns coming But, Once the hype slows down, we will definitely see some kind of correction but it might just be a moment and not last long (a while) and BTC is ready to fly above beyond 35K again and that's not a hallucination.
Since we finally break the toughest $34k barrier, I think it's safe to assume that we can now successfully go beyond $35k. We even climbed $2k easily right after we touch $32k. The spot BTC ETF is just another event that we have here in BTC. If it's approved, we might see an increase but if not, maybe that can cause a drop in the price due to disappointment that will lead to a sell-off from some users.

If we only experience a calmness or stability that would be better. And it doesn't mean that we are now going to fall after it. Actually the more the chance that we can recover if we experience such movement according to what I observed in the past.
893  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Answer this Question on Credits Left on a Slot Machine by Someone Else on: October 25, 2023, 06:51:15 PM
That was some maturity you displayed there mate, very a few gamblers will wanna reason and act in the respectful manner you did for peace to reign. And that's why it's so important to be attentive to check if by  a mistake or purposefully another gambler have left a credit in any of the alot machine wanna make use of, some might be a deliberate act to take advantage of our mistake.

I bet she probably dis that on purpose if not why would she walk on to you immediately you had put some money in it. For if it was something she didn't do on purpose she would have accepted your kind gesture of appealing to withdraw and give it to her. Damn I hate such crooked humans.
Maturity and being honest. Maybe not all will do that because it was already money and most of us motive to gamble is for the money. I am also like that. I mean I also play for the profit but I can't stand to take someone else money. I'd be more happy if I can find the real owner of this fund and return to it to them.

I think it's rare if someone will purposely left their money. Why they are doing that? To help the next gambler to have a head start? They are too kind but I hope it will fall on the right hands or to those who have been losing continuously. That should be a big help to them already, much especially if the amount is also slightly higher.
894  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: October 25, 2023, 05:16:19 PM
I guess the final is going to be between United Arab Emirates and Nepal. Because Hong Kong's net run rate is too low and even if they win by 100 runs or so, that won't be enough for them to overtake the UAE in points table. Anyway, Hong Kong never looked like the team they were a few years ago. The loss of Mark Chapman to New Zealand was a devastating blow for them (similar to the case of Singapore who lost Tim David). And also, it proves that teams that give no attention to native players can't perform well in a consistent manner.
Yes, even after having big win in today match sadly Hong Kong is out of the final as their NRR is not good enough for qualifying into final against Nepal, but today we have good cricket from these both associate countries which are losing their good players regularly to Australia and New Zealand due to financial issues.

Today we have good performance from the Hong Kong as after winning toss they elected to bat first and their top order give good punishment to UAE bowlers and have good target of 212 which was really tough for the UAE with Hong Kong bowlers were also on good run they have not allowed them to play freely which helps them for securing their first win of the TRI Series which is playing into Nepal between these associate countries as good practice for these teams which will help them for having better exposure into future games against big teams.
895  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Centralised exchange getting better than Decentralised exchange? on: October 25, 2023, 01:12:51 PM
From time to time, as per my cryptocurrency experience, I am using both CEX and DEX platforms in trading and/or converting my digital assets to USDT which am using for P2P in Binance. I would say, however, that am more into CEX than DEX and this is all because of my full trust in Binance. As of now, both CEX and DEX are doing good business so this is just a matter of choice and convenience. Now, am expecting that years from now, DEX can be able to improve more on security as no one would love to be dealing with risks of hacking anytime.
You are carrying a signature which seems to be an exchange review site. Are you an owner of it? Maybe yes, because you said you are using both CEX and DEX from time to time. It's important so that you can review an exchange better and give an idea if what are their advantages and disadvantages.

DEX are not new so maybe a lot of them have now improved their security especially after we heard in the past that there are lots of hackings that occurred on them. It won't stop there obviously because hackers are also not stopping anytime soon. I don't own a platform like yours but I already tried both types of exchanges, and my remarks are also the same as yours.
896  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What advice for businesses exploring crypto payment gateways? on: October 25, 2023, 11:44:31 AM
You need to study the crypto first to know which crypto that may help you to exploring the possibility to add it as your payment gateway for your business. There have been many business were accept bitcoin as the first payment gateway but the main problem if it's not all of them were using LN network to decresase the transaction fees. You can also try to look at alternative currency like stable token that used scalable blockchain to help you and your customer being charged only with the small fees.

There are lots of consideration before you will able to add crypto as your payment gateway. that's why you need to study that first to make sure you were not picking the wrong coin to be used as your payment gateway.
Indeed, studying at least the basics is still needed even if we will only avail those 3rd party services. It's not the same to investing where we need to pick the best cryptos because we can choose to convert the cryptos immediately to fiat. But it's better to just go on which crypto is popular. Bitcoin is obviously the first in the list, which will be followed by Ethereum (for those who are altcoin lovers).

Adding LN is great for small users who will purchase lite items only. Cryptos are not a secret anymore. As long as we are on a crypto-friendly country, it's a great addition to the existing payment methods that we are already accepting because some people prefers it more than the other.
897  Economy / Speculation / Re: Has anybody expected this? on: October 25, 2023, 08:42:16 AM
Not that I'm a charting expert or a good technical or fundamental analyst let alone a bear, but I'm really surprised at the spike that's happened, and which is probably continuously happening as of this writing. So far, the price has already hit above $34,000. That's already more than 12% in growth in just 24 hours.
This could be a sign that market conditions this month have improved, perhaps more people have entered the market to buy Bitcoin in any amount, so that the increase that occurred today has actually exceeded $35K. This is quite surprising and obviously quite good because Bitcoin is starting to have increasingly positive movements before ending the year and I hope things like this can continue to happen to Bitcoin before the halving arrives.
Whenever we reach to last quarter of the year, that somehow ends up being one of the best parts of the year and I am not sure why. We have seen increases on October, November and December a lot, that's the last three months and Q4 of the year and it usually goes up. Doesn't mean that it will happen like that every year, but it does happen quite frequently and not a shocker anymore.

I would say that it is going to be a decent year without a doubt and I believe that November and December will not be bad months neither. We just need to be patient and see how higher it could get, if you want you can put a stop loss at 30k dollars, that would mean that you could get out and have lower risk but I am going to hold it as long as possible.
898  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin’s long-term investors own over 76% of all BTC for the first time on: October 25, 2023, 07:49:35 AM
This data has already started pricing in the Bitcoin market looking at the sudden surge in price we got lately.  Just today Bitcoin had a tremendous price increase that saw the price smash the strong $31k resistance level drop the price more than 3 times on getting to that level and go as far as touching $33.7k from the $28k price level, making it roughly a six thousand-dollar increase in the price of Bitcoin.
The momentum is back and Volatility has increased hugely.
This are the best time to hold. The reason for the latest price surge is because of bitcoin spot ETF hype. Let us see what would happen, but I think bitcoin is still bullish right now. Only what that is needed is time, United States SEC will approve bitcoin ETF and the price would likely go higher. And according to what dansus021 just posted, the exchange outflow has increased and that only means people are not ready to sell but hold instead.
I am not sure if they are going to end up approving it anytime soon. There was a wrong rumor about Blackrock ETF being accepted but it turned out to be wrong so I doubt that it would be any different on this one as well, I think it is going to be pretty much similar thing yet again. I get that it may feel like maybe it is not the same thing but I think ETF thing is just not anytime soon and the increase has nothing to do with that.

If it was approved then it would be, it is still going up without the ETF which means that there are other reasons. Plus, there has been plenty of good news during the bear run and that means we should be considering that a bit different and could be doing something that could change it long term.
899  Economy / Speculation / Re: Dump market potential? on: October 25, 2023, 06:33:22 AM
In every uptrend there is correction that always follows, it is not news that in correction or dump follows when a market is done surging since those who buy at a lower price tend to exit to take profit.  A good example of this kind of scenario is when Bitcoin breaks its ATH, it is followed by a correction and bear market trend showing that a dump is inevitable after an uptrend.

The current scenario where Bitcoin rallies to $31k+ can also possibly suffer a dump due to people taking profit.

About the ongoing war between Israel and Palestine, I don't think that it will escalate to a global war because other countries will keep each other in check preventing them from directly participating and sending their troops in the ongoing war.
I agree, looking at the ongoing surge I also would expect a "correction" to happen,
Maybe soon or maybe in the short term but it does tend to happen.

Looking at the RSI currently it suggests the market is kind of over bought and generally
there follows a corresponding drop.

I'm hold out for the "Buy the dip" moment!
Correction would not be the end of the world, it could happen and that shouldn't really change much neither, because I do not think that it would go under 28k to be fair and that's a good number. As long as it stays over 28k, that is a win in my book. We were under 26k just some time ago, it wasn't really looking good and peaking over 30k is a great feeling but even if it drops to over 28k that would be a good thing for me and I do not think that I would change that all that much.

Hopefully we could see it do a lot better eventually, but we need to end up with a lot better results for that to be legit. I think the price could also keep going higher, sure correction is a possibility but it's a possibility, whereas another possibility is to keep going higher. Seeing the price go towards 35k+ wouldn't be impossible as well and we could see it happen. That's why we should try to keep hold of it as long as we possibly could and just let it be.
900  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Binance is Rolling Out Copy Trading? on: October 24, 2023, 07:48:20 PM
Maybe Binance learned that copy-trading really matters in the platform that's why they decided to add this feature. They might noticed that copy-trading encourage a lot of users to use the platform. As what I have noticed, copy-trading was being hype by influencers and mentors which really gives positive impact to all platform that has copy-trading feature. Since Binance is the top 1 Exchange, it would be better if they add this too as the other exchanges already added it. Also, it would never be too late and possibly encourage more users to use the platform.
That would give a lot of new users to Binance as well, that's why they add something like this. They know that there will be a whole influx of new people that came in because of the influencers who tried to get them to follow their lead, and that would result with influencers bringing their thousands of users to check their own results, which would benefit Binance because they would have bunch of new customers who trade.

I bet that this will increase the volume of Binance as well, it may take sometime because it can't be all within a single day but I bet that it is going to happen. Of course we are also at a point where bitcoin price went up as well, so people may think it could be the FOMO that increased the volume or they could think it was this, but you could compare the increase in volume of other exchanges and on Binance as well and see the difference, if one place went up 20% and the other 50% that could be the increase Copy Trading helped Binance get.
