881  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: When did you begin using Bitcoin? on: December 06, 2016, 07:35:50 PM
I start using bitcoins few months ago in July 2016. I could not believe that except all the others advantages this currency have when someone start to use it he can feel that he is really free from banks. This feeling is unique and unrepeatable.
882  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Attraction on: December 06, 2016, 02:10:08 PM
Is difficult to decide when it's about a new currency but for me is quite easy. I prefer bitcoin because I have the feeling of freedom. I can do anything I want without someone third (my bank) to intervene. It's the same feeling if you have cash but it is impossible  to sent or receive cash without personal contact. So, this was the main reason I preferred bitcoins from fiat money
883  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Miners fee on: December 06, 2016, 10:55:04 AM
Hi there,

I want to send some btc from blockchain to coinbase but I wonder wich fee i should use to get it confirmed if i want to send about 0.05 btc. There is no rush to send it. I think the recommended fee of blockchain is way too high.

If I am right you mean the well known blockchain wallet. This wallet has the option to see the fees. That is, before send your coins there is the option where you can see the estimated confirmation time according the fees you are willing to pay. Check it out this https://support.[Suspicious link removed]/hc/en-us/articles/209283686-Sending-Bitcoin

EDIT: suspicious link to blockchain[dot]com
884  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is bitcoin being used for illegal activities on: December 06, 2016, 10:13:48 AM
Who knows maybe it is used we don't know we can only speculate on this
I saw in tv series ncis la that the used bitcoin as drug money
In fact, if you're watching a documentary on the "deep web", you can see that most of these sites as a tool accept bitcoin transactions. it proves that, bitcoin is also used for illegal activity, and I think this has been done in a long time. Well, this could be the main reason in his baned bitcoin d divulging state

Yeah, bitcoin is often used as a currency in the deepweb. And it is because of its feature that your transaction are anonymous which makes drug dealers, hired killers, or other bad people identity unknown. They use it to buy things which you can't buy that easily.

No bitcoin transaction never was and is not anonymous. Every  transaction is traceable and somewhere in a block of the chain. If it was some services like as bitmixer, bitlaundry and so on would be useless. And yes bitcoin has being used for illegal activities like any other currency (USD, EUR, GBP, CNY, etc) and like as gold.
885  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How did you first hear about bitcoin? on: December 06, 2016, 08:15:04 AM
First time I heard about bitcoin was at November 2013 when its price was soared above $1200. I didn't know what is that and I  didn't concern to learn more of it because after a while bitcoin price crashed to $600, so I thought it was a bubble. Only last year few months ago I started to deal with cryptocurrencies and especially with bitcoins.
886  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin can you stand alone? on: December 06, 2016, 07:40:46 AM
Can you stop pricing yourself in fiat?

I would say it is with almost 100% certainty that you cannot.

I'm wondering just how long you will use the fiat banking system as your crutch.

Bitcoin is a global currency decentralized and secure. Fiat money has many drawbacks but people have accepted it and use it in every day transactions especially in micro payments even more than their credit/debit cards even though the latter are fiat money too. Maybe next or after next generation will accept only crypto currencies instead of fiat money.
887  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is bitcoin is the new era of currency? on: December 06, 2016, 06:43:24 AM
Not only bitcoin but and the innovative and revolutionary blockchain technology is a new era for currencies. On the other hand fiat money will be in tandem with bitcoins for a long time and not in the nearby future only.
888  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you think bankers will destroy block chain tech, decentralization, bitcoin? on: December 06, 2016, 06:34:27 AM
Why to destroy a coin even though a crypto-coin? Maybe is easier to manipulate it. Isn't; It is easier to blame it for all illegal activities globally, but you can also use it anytime there is a crisis as a safe place instead of gold. Bankers are not chasing the bitcoin use. For them is still a currency like as fiat national currencies
889  Economy / Economics / Re: Do You Think Bitcoin Will Replace Dollar Soon? on: December 05, 2016, 03:36:04 PM

By continuously touting this "Bitcoin will replace the dollar" nonsense, most people are forced to miss the more important bigger picture.

Bitcoin is the first, globally recognized currency of the internet.

In the years ahead, this will have a much bigger impact on world economics than it does currently.

So I state again, Bitcoin is not in competition with the Dollar. It is designed to be used in tandem with the fiat currency system, not as an alternative. This is very important, if you can grasp what this means - as far as the internet is concerned.

I totally agree with KoinKartel's view that fiat money will not die because of bitcoin in nearby future. Furthermore, dollar is very strong currency to be replaced by bitcoin. As an example, countries with weak economy (Zimbabwe dollars) recently replaced their fiat money with fiat too (US dollars) and no with bitcoins.
890  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you play Dice with Autobet? on: December 05, 2016, 08:58:34 AM
I rarely gamble playing dice games even though are probably fair. But when I play, I don't use autobet option. At first because I lose the control in every roll and secondly If I use bots why to gamble? It is emotionless without intensity.
891  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What do you think are the biggest disadvantages of Bitcoin? on: December 04, 2016, 07:28:00 PM
In my view most significant cons are:

1. It is very difficult to be explained and used by people who have little to do with the internet and computers in general.
2. Too slow in relation to the credit / debit cards in daily micro payments that are more frequent at most people.
3. Perhaps hostility policy of various governments which have as their interest to defend their national currency.
892  Other / Off-topic / Re: Bitcoin is a good investment now, because... on: December 04, 2016, 09:07:42 AM
Potentially very large profits compared to those who will lose. In contrast to fiat money it is a rare and sure is not an inflationary currency. It is the future because is is based on a revolutionary and innovative technology
893  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If a person has millions of Bitcoin and he dies one day................. on: December 04, 2016, 08:36:42 AM
This is a situation has no easy answer. The reason is that it is human and has nothing to do with transaction, security etc of bitcoins. Really if someone has so many coins, no relatives who would inherit him and they  had informed from him, he had not followed legal procedures what would happened in case of death, then as we know the procedures of bitcoin protocol, coins would be rest in peace "buried" in a block in eternity.
894  Economy / Marketplace / Re: How can we encourage local businesses to accept BTC? on: December 03, 2016, 05:07:51 PM
Local shops are managed by people like me and you. Apparently, these people want to earn money and attract buyers. Perhaps the best way is when we go to the this store to ask seller to pay him with bitcoin. If this is done by several customers for some time he will be forced to learn and accept it as a new payment mean. So more and more local stores see each other will be bitcoin friendly.
895  Other / Off-topic / Re: Average Age of Bitcoin users on: December 03, 2016, 02:19:55 PM
It is very difficult to find their average age. At first, many young people participating in this forum may not tell the truth because they think how to treat them when they will answer in the forum conversations. On the other hand forum members who are big enough, say 60+ probably not care to answer. But from the answers I read every day in the forum and the questions submitted by those users I believe that their age is between 25-45 years.
896  Other / Off-topic / Re: How to tell your Girlfirend about BitcoiN?? on: December 02, 2016, 08:05:49 PM
A quick answer would be; that it is the same like as in your friend. But ιf your girlfriend is something more, that is you make plans for the future  then things are complicated. Well if she is simply your girl you speak her as any friend. If you look at her seriously and you afraid that she will reject your ideas, then you should be clear what you intend to do. Will you continue to use bitcoins or you would do her favor to stop? Anything you like but I believe you must be honest to her. Long run personal relationships are based on truth.
897  Economy / Economics / Re: possible government regulations? on: December 02, 2016, 07:09:30 PM

~~
What I am afraid of to happen, is the time will come that our transaction will be tax..

transactions will never have taxes!
taxes will be paid when you buy something or sell something or in other words when you are doing business , it is the same taxes you pay when you buy with fiat.

Yes I have same opinion. There is no way to tax transactions. On the other hand if you buy something and the store gives you the receipt then you will pay taxes after the conversion in local currency like as you have in your pocket US dollars go somewhere in Europe buy something with dollars and seller gives you a receipt in Euro.
898  Economy / Economics / Re: Central banks - who stays behind? on: December 02, 2016, 06:56:39 PM
If Ι really understand what @OP wants to tell is if the banks are working accordance with the laws of the global economy, that is, are independent or controlled (manipulated) by some. Some members of the forum answered that are controlled by the governments of each country. In my opinion the banks control  governments and not vice versa. I also believe that behind the banks are elite groups / families that control through banks determine the destiny of every country in the planet
899  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: In what gambling games are you good at? on: December 02, 2016, 04:05:43 PM
I am good at poker but I don't play anymore because somewhere I had read that people and casinos (I am not sure) use bots instead of real people so as poker tables to be always full. So I play only in sporting betting sites where I know some things about soccer teams.
900  Economy / Economics / Re: The future of the paper money on: December 02, 2016, 03:55:55 PM
The bank notes of every country except used as financial transaction mean have also historical value for their citizens. Additionally, we should not forget that many people "do not understand that they have money" if they can not hold it and count with their hands. Based on these and perhaps other reasons I do not now remember it is difficult banknotes to disappear in the near future
