i think 16.5MH with a 1080ti overclocked is possible, yeah i was right, just tried...

Test it for 1h, will it crash?  Wink

it's perfectly stable at 15MH for days, but at 16Mh i didn't try because with this summer i don't to stress the gpu at 80°

you don't have the private miner i think
Yeah I do - started with it yesterday.

that's strange, i do +125 core and 250 mem now with 80% and i'm at 15MH to reach 16MH and above you need 100% tdp +100 on core mem 300
I've tried on a variety of models. Current single one sitting in my daily rig is at 100% TDP +150/-500 pulling 14,000 atm.

Doing your +125/+250 @ 80% gives me mid 13,000s  Embarrassed

i have the palit super jeststream, what do you have?
Bunch of founders editions.
MSI GTX1080TI ARMOR
ASUSCOMP GTX1080TI FE

oh, i missed that try with 20 intensity, that's the trick

I can't get any of my TI's stable at that rate. Currently best I've got is 14.5 @ +150/-500

rise the mem to 300 and tdp to 80%-100%
It drops to high 13's then.

On spreadcoin I could only get a maximum of 9 Mh per GPU even with overclocks (100% TDP).

I get 9.3MH on the gigabyte gtx 1070 g1 gaming with oc on both the memory and coreclock.
f.ex core: +150, memory +500

On the 1080ti you can try to reduce the memory clock -500 and increase the coreclock. The highest reported hashrate from a user is 9.6 MHASH on the gtx 1070 and 16MHASH on the 1080ti

i think 16.5MH with a 1080ti overclocked is possible, yeah i was right, just tried...

887  Economy / Economics / Re: When to buy and sell bitcoin on: July 08, 2017, 08:29:04 AM
usually after you see the pump started wait few days before selling, and buy only when the pump ended and you see a dump followed by stagnation like it's happening now

youc an't know the peak but if you all the way up while the pump is in action you can mitigate some losses on possible gain
888  Economy / Economics / Re: Compare Bitcoin to Other Investment Instruments (Stocks, Real Estates, Etc.) on: July 08, 2017, 08:25:58 AM
the real difference is that bitcoin is a currency should be comparable to both forex market and a stock market, bitcoin is everythign all at once, you can't use stocks to buy a game on steam...

Bitcoin doesn't generate income.

well it can in some form of indirect investment like loan or buying pos altcoin, maybe not directly but still doable
889  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: bitcoin popularity made it vulnerable to governments on: July 08, 2017, 08:25:06 AM
they don't even need a master key they can view every transaction on the blockchain easily, but some address are hidden even on the explorer, maybe they want full transparency

still by not knowing which address belongs to who, there is no way they can have full view over this, so better they forgets about this crap of master key which is not something that will ever exist

seems that the governments didn't learned that by knowing only the address you don't know shit about the user, until he spend those coins to shop something and link his home address
890  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What fee managment methods do you know? on: July 08, 2017, 08:18:16 AM
..it's also true that some hidden addresses are not showed in the explorer...

what are hidden addresses? are you talking about some altcoin or is it still bitcoin, because there is no such thing as hidden address in bitcoin. everything is out there and if the bitcoin address has ever received any payment it will show up on a block explorer.

hidden address are the one that you can view with listgrouptransactions, they are change address it ensure some level of privacy

using multiple address is useless they are all linked if in the same wallet, in fact i only use one now, privacy is still safe because the address it's not linked to your name you know
Quote from the Bitcoin Wiki about this:

There has been significant research into the area of what researchers are calling 'identity collapse', which is what happens when more than one Bitcoin address is strongly-linked via the Bitcoin transaction graph to another. Re-using addresses makes their job trivial. There are publically-known databases that exist, right now, that have not only collapsed millions of Bitcoin addresses, but used publically-available information to link those collapsed identities to individuals, and these databases are being actively maintained.
When you buy coins, the exchange can see the addresses that the funds move to.  When you send your coins to a shop, they can see the address that it came from, and if you give them a shipping address then they know who you are and that you own that address.

It's true that when you spend, you would be spending from multiple addresses and the shop would see all of the addresses that you spent from - but the point is that the shop would have to do at least a little effort, and be fully malicious, if they wanted to find out where the rest of your funds were.

if you want real privacy you need to use a new wallet each time not creating a new address
OK, but you still need to understand the importance of changing addresses when you're receiving coins from someone new.

even if you use a different address for receiving, you have no control over your address when you send money

so it could be that the next time you send money your wallet send from that address you received and put the change to one another address which is linked with your main address, therefore you are traceable

using multiple address is useless they are all linked if in the same wallet, in fact i only use one now, privacy is still safe because the address it's not linked to your name you know

if you want real privacy you need to use a new wallet each time not creating a new address, it's also true that some hidden addresses are not showed in the explorer...
Im confused that those hidden addresses cant be detect by explorer. Are they mostly the newly created? which doesnt have much transactions which explorer cant detect. Multiple address on a same wallet is still fine since there are wallets that do have an option if you would like to link on a main wallet or create a new one which doesnt have relation on the main.

they are change address, soem of them can not be displayed by the explorer, i have in fact an example of my cold storage which say that there are some bitcoin in blockchain.info but in reality there are more
891  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BITCOIN Flippening GOLD - conglaturation! on: July 08, 2017, 08:13:19 AM
not only the current value of gold, but the all time high of gold was surpassed as well, which is if i'm not mistaken, around $2k, so current bitcoin value is higher than that too

since that $2k high for gold is very old, i don't think gold will be able ever to return to that point, because now it's also less rare than the past
892  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: ICO ban for the US citizens on: July 08, 2017, 08:11:09 AM
because their governemt protects them from scam

what is stopping someone from mining big amount of coin and dump it for bitcoin to buy this ico scam? how can the government enforce rules on something so out of hands?

if investors really want to be protected they just need to avoid being scammed by ignore all the ico, i don't think they need a law for the common sense...

pallas if you can fix this

Check here for pre-compiled cuda miner binaries for Win64:
dropbox.com/sh/56lnq52g4gny0m0/AADMJa2QTMSSc4g9gx1BfWIla

not working, it's missed

I don't have that any longer, and it was slower than djm34 current binary anyways.

oh ok, what about this version, seems to be open public https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1801595.1460, i posted in the other thread

24 Mh/s for two cards isn't very fast ;-)

yeah missed that, talking about something else, what about a better exchange like cryptopia?
895  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: CCminer(SP-MOD) Modded NVIDIA Maxwell / Pascal kernels. on: July 07, 2017, 03:09:55 PM
oh you are right, i missed the two thread started thing, then it's slower than my 16+Mh on the open source

Sp-mod #3 is 18-19MHASH on the 1070 and 30MHASH on the 1080ti.

I can make it faster.

at 20MH + we can have a deal i think
896  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: CCminer(SP-MOD) Modded NVIDIA Maxwell / Pascal kernels. on: July 07, 2017, 02:55:59 PM
so sp, apparently there is a miner of djm34 that do 24Mh with a 1070 on xcn, can you compile it please? this coin is very profitable with that miner

where is it? github?

look in your thread there is a guy with 24MH, he said djm34 0.0.3 https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1801595.1460

That was with 2 1070s.
