901  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: do you lose on slots? on: November 01, 2023, 03:13:49 AM
~ After 1 year or more ago because my passion there did not reduce, I began to see the tragmewaves as a stress reliever for me, so I already see it as that, but the people who see it and play to win because it has its problems, it is known that with little money It can be multiplied to a lot, and that's just some great players, there are some who make plays up to 200 usd in a single spin, and that's something that surprises me, the truth is I wouldn't be able to bet so much in one turn that in the race I could lose and oh, that's how 200usd goes, for me it's a lot, but there are people who gamble a lot, bet very hard and win dudtro too, but the unknown is, it will be that throughout their life how much they have played order? How does it compensate for all that life where they particularly leave some money in the casino? is it worth doing it? That's what I would like to read about people who have won big on a slot machine.

There are two kinds of people that bet $200 USD in a single spin: Some people are blindly chasing big wins and they forget about anything else; and there are others who simply can afford it. For the latter it's like for us betting 20 cents for a single spin. They have a lot of money and for them winning something like $20 is not entertaining at all, so, they need to make higher bets to have fun. The former kind, on the other hand, they are seeking not fun but big profits, and those people need professional help.

Again it was a success for me in the current Slots Forum Challenge | Week 14 run by the magnificent SanjaT.

This time it took me like 2 minutes to hit that 40x+ multiplier to qualify:

It's more than 6 days left till the end. Try your luck, guys. You can do it. Smiley

That's true that in poker your result depends on all those things, your well-being included. With purely luck-based games like slots it's not the same. You can feel horribly and still win big. In any case, you should never treat gambling as a major income.
I don`t even think about slots. It is only luck, you have chances the same like a lottery. But in sport betting you can win good money. Not every bet of course, but enough for living. In my situation the profit from the main work is to high, but if someone has problems with the job - the gambling can help him. Of course it doesn`t mean, that everybody easily becomes rich - it is really great everyday job, like any other.

I agree that it's a hard job, but it's not like any other. For example, if you are a good coder and it's your job, you work hard and make good money with that, you are not risking your money in the process like with playing poker or sports betting. So, like I'm always saying, however skillful you are, or, however, you think, lucky you are, you better don't try make gambling your major income.

And I totally agree with you about investing the rest of the money in Bitcoin. Especially today, when the price is low.

What if that person doesn't have an idea when it comes to bitcoin? So what you've said about "investing the rest of the money in Bitcoin" is not applicable to all people who don't have a slight idea about it. But maybe for some people like us that are prominent in the field of cryptocurrency or bitcoin, the number one thing that we will do is invest some or a large amount of our winnings in bitcoin because we see the potential profit in bitcoin, which is good timing right now. But treating yourself to some luxury things will not be bad, either because you deserve it or because the winner deserves it. Just control the expenses and buy only the things that you necessarily need. How I will I will win in lottery I already have plans on how will I spend some and how will I invest some.

That's right, you gotta live sometimes, and when is that time if not when you won $600k in lottery?

Buying only the things that you necessarily need isn't exactly luxury, I would say. If you won big, you can afford spending on some unnecessary things too. Smiley

~
If I personally got the win I would definitely use some of it to invest in crypto especially Bitcoin.

And I think, fortunately, many people these days would do the same. Times when most people didn't know anything about Bitcoin history are gone long ago.

Celebrate your big win, buy some necessary but expensive things, and invest the rest in Bitcoin. That would be my advice.

Of course you are losing, what do you expect when odds are stacked highly against you.  Grin
That's why bookies love parley gamblers and eventually limit players that bet singles. It's much more profitable to stay away from big parleys.

Of course 1 hit can finance the next, I don't know, 100 bets but when these bets lose you are red again.

But I do understand the excitement of having a high odds parley, we all have dreams. It's like the "chip and a chair" saying at poker.  Cool

Going to switch to lower odds, like about 10.00 or so, for a change.

Don't be tempted lol especially for freebets it's kinda pointless to do anything lower than 2x, since you don't get stake back but don't lose hope so soon with these big odds.

I started also recently using bigger odds and it was tough to keep losing but if you hit a few streaks wins it's super worth it Smiley

Thanks for reminding me, guys, that betting with bigger odds is what I actually love and do. Having a long losing streak I almost gave up. But since low odds are not doing good for me either:

I'm switching to the high ones back again. Indeed, if you win with super high odds once, that makes the whole thing worth it.

casperBGD and efialtis are the matchday winners with 18 points each. congratulations to both of you - the sportsbet.io free bets will be credited to you soon.
efialtis has even forgotten to give the picks for one game...
on the first three places all three participants have the same score
the overviews will follow soon...

I don`t know what`s wrong with me and how I forgot that one when I entered my picks for all the other games of that day... Cheesy Thanks for managing this Cygan!

Still, even without that game, you've managed to earn 18 points for that round. You predicted 6-1 for Bayern Munich vs Darmstadt. Closer than anyone else to the actual result. And although you've earned 2 points, same as me with my lame 4-1 prediction, it's impressive, to say the least.

And, of course, I'd like to join you in this: Thanks for managing this Cygan!

I know that we are not going to end up with all that many people like that, most of the people are just professionals, and they are aiming at trying to make money

that makes the competition more valuable because of those professionals that uses those kind of events as money making place , their ability will be a challenge to them.

I agree. If only people like me were taking part, it would be not that interesting. It's competing with the pros what makes it exciting. And if you don't win, you can at least enjoy the artworks made by others.

Now, it's two weeks left till the end of the Art Contest "Halloween". Remember, guys, this time you can submit your artwork in four different categories.

I have question - how do they make that much money if their games are fair?

Their profit per month is 73.7666667M, le'ts imagine this is 20% of total comission...And it's shocking. Don't they suppose to have negative months, or years? Like operators have?

I mean, all of this videos of their rigged game shows, blackjacks...I'm about to think that all of them are true

Their games are fair in the sense that they officially have an advantage over players, and they are not hiding it. Their profit is only telling us about how many gamblers are using their products, I don't understand why do you think it implies they are cheating. Like other people said in this thread, they don't need to cheat because they are making big money legally. Why risk your license?
912  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: who Want To Bet On 2024 USA elections? on: October 30, 2023, 06:04:01 AM

Trump may be gaining steam and momentum, as so many predicted it could happen. In a normal world, we would agree those indictments would have ended his political career, but not in this bizarre context, he is getting more popular.

Well, the world has been like this for many thousands of years. People sympathize with the martyrs. Why? Because it's in our genes. Because those who didn't have this trait have died out more than a million years ago. Compassionate people are those who have survived. Now, this situation has been abused by some politicians for the last couple of millenia.
~

I do not think Trump is seeking to become a martyr, he seems more interested on continuing to be a leader. He does not want to face defeat in the hands of the legal system of the United States of America.
Rather than a martyr, his opposition has compared him to a cult leader, someone who is not supposed to be questioned and someone who is secretly doing good deeds against the "deep state".
And since he is not an idiot when comes to politics and Public Relationships, he does not miss the opportunity to capitalize on it.

Also, since some codefendants have started to flip on him on the RICO case within Georgia, I would have expected his odds to be affected by it, I have not checked yet, I am more interested on the polling.

Regardless of what he's seeking, Trump is a martyr in the eyes of his supporters. How would he get such popularity otherwise? "not an idiot"? Many people would argue with that, I can assure you. Right now Trump is ahead:

The question is, for how long. Seriously, I think his chances of being elected are close to zero. I mean, it will be more obvious when we are closer to the elections.
913  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you gamble because you don't have sufficient money? on: October 30, 2023, 05:27:04 AM

People have different strategy that they use for their success and that is different for another person. Like talking about soccer betting, some people stay with odds that are even in number before they stake on it, they believe whatever is even is positive and whatever is negative is odd or bad so that is what strategy that they adopt and it works for them more times that they have won which is why they stick to it.

Therefore what works for Mr A may not work for Mr B as far as gambling is concern, everyone has to play with what luck they can get for their bets.

Sticking to only even odds for whatever reason is not a strategy, it's a superstition. Of course this "strategy" can work for someone, because among many millions of bettors there can be one or two for whom it's "working", but it has nothing to do with anything but luck. To rely on such a "strategy" is irrational, but if it's fun and you are only risking what you can afford to lose, you can try your luck, why not? Smiley
914  Economy / Economics / Re: Real estate vs cryptocurrencies vs business on: October 30, 2023, 04:58:42 AM
It depends on your knowledge, expertise and passion. If you are doing business and doing well then there is no point in looking for ways of generating money in crypto. Why take a risk on something you don't have passion for or knowledge about?

But if you are looking for an option to get rid of inflation then it is advisable to gain knowledge about crypto as i think bitcoin is better than gold in terms of fighting inflation. Don't be like those guys who watch a video about dogecoin and start investing in it without any justification. You should learn about where you are putting your money and whether the associated risk is bearable for you or not.

I agree that Bitcoin is better than gold in terms of investing. More risky? Yes, but so far it's been worth it. Of course, a year or two may be not enough to see some profits, but let's not forget that BTC always surpasses its previous ATH sooner or later. I wouldn't advise to look for ways of generating money in crypto, especially to someone who's not an expert in the field, but I think for a successful businessman it would be nice to think about investing part of the profits into Bitcoin.
915  Economy / Economics / Re: Cracking the Code of Saving Money... on: October 29, 2023, 11:28:20 AM
Billionaires have said poor people save money while rich people invest their money. Well, from that point of view we can clearly see differences and it's possible outcome. Saving money is much better than wasting it but investing it to something that will gave us more than the amount we save is the best and wisest choice.

But in many cases investing is wasting. Especially investing in something that seemingly will provide you with high yield. I wouldn't encourage people to invest instead of just saving. Those billionaires you've mentioned in the beginning they usually lose millions on the wrong investments before finding something profitable. Regular people can't afford that.
916  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Will you cheat in gambling? on: October 29, 2023, 09:13:56 AM
I think, in ancient times no one saw gambling as a recreational activity. Everyone wanted to actually win something with gambling. It's now, when people are smarter, they can treat gambling as entertainment. It's a pity that there are still those who want to make money from it and even those who want to cheat casinos or other players to gain money. It's like their mind is still there, in ancient times.
You are right to say such a thing. People of that era considered gambling a way to make money instead of gambling as entertainment. Those in that era did not have many sources of work so they chose gambling to make money but as we know, many of them lost and even the casinos took the prices and goods. But nowadays, people can use gambling as entertainment, although there are still people who use gambling to make money.

There are many of them such people. Millions, I would say. And some of them succeed too, but it's a very risky business I would advise against. You better keep it light and fun, and try to make money anywhere else.

~
~ And surely it was entertaining too. And some opportunists surely have always tried to beat the system, even when it's mathematically proven not to be possible. Modern religions have been against gambling and consider it as a "sin". I am not sure if it's because the paganic roots of it, or because it's just fun for the wrong reasons.

What is mathematically proven not to be possible? So, if someone wins millions playing lottery or slots, he's going against mathematics in your opinion, or do you think no one has ever won from gambling? What's mathematically proven is that the casino will always be in profit in the long run, but not playing against you personally, but against all players.

~ Relying on poker as your main source of income without considering the risks involved can be a tough challenge for you and by avoiding dependence on income from poker, you can maintain your financial stability and minimize the risk of losses you will experience.
~

To put it simple, although your skills play decisive role in poker, the role of luck is still too big to rely on your winnings in poker as your main source of income. Luck plays a part in everything we do. But if you are a skillful coder or a high skilled worker, the probability of you making money is much less depends on luck than if you are a pro poker player. So, if you want to make money, it's better to get a real job.
918  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Reckless gambling starts after a win round. on: October 29, 2023, 07:54:14 AM
~ Indeed to get a big win is very unlikely. Recently I won with a 1,170x multiplier, , and I don't know for sure what was exactly the probability of that, but I do know that it was well below 0.1%. Will I start recklessly gambling after that? No. I've been playing slots for like 7-8 years and I know how rare something like this can happen. Relying on such events is madness.
The same thing happened to me after a x1500 win. I didn't recklessly spend my winnings on betting automatically and let the gambling just take it all back in just a short manner of time because I knew they would. I withdraw a huge chunk of those profits and then start betting in small amounts. Luckily, the winning streak didn't stop and I even had the thought of what if I kept on betting the same amount. I didn't and I must handle that reality because we will never know if we will receive the same output if we change the bet amount. It could be a trap.

I think control will play an important role when it comes to winning such a huge multi-win. It doesn't mean we are truly lucky the whole day, because there's always a high chance we will lose it all if we keep our greed working.

If you change the bet amount if doesn't affect the output in the slightest(unless they warn you it will take you out of some promo or something). High bets, small bets, or, even betting in demo mod, result in the same outcome. There's no "trap" for changing the bet size in purely luck-based games. I'm not trying to say that you will keep winning regardless of your bet size. By "always the same" I mean it's always random, that's all.
919  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can Chat GTP destroy poker on-line gambling??? on: October 29, 2023, 06:57:23 AM
I'm afraid I don't know the calculation that can be applied to consumer-grade computational resources. But essentially, if one is able to get a profit, in which obviously the game prize would outweigh the computation resources and the casino-related fees, it should be doable for most people. Which surely decreases the playability of the online casino poker game itself.

But I mean, can we at least evaluate the costs. It is known that "the base strategy was computed in eight days, and at market rates would cost about $144 to produce", and to build that strategy Pluribus relied on offline self-play. But it is also known that Pluribus continues to learn in real-time during its online play. And my question is how much this real-time learning would cost? If Pluribus can win $1,000 per hour playing poker online, would it be enough to cover all the costs?

Based on the paper, at least we can deduce that 144 dollars is the cost to produce the baseline blueprint strategy. Moreover, 128GB RAM is required during live play to store the compressed blueprint strategy.

If we use Google Cloud pricing (https://cloud.google.com/products/calculator/). A server with 128GB RAM, and 16 vCPUs costs USD 527.93 per month. The question is, I did not know how many CPU cores it required during live play and the disk storage for the related applications.

Note that, it is a monthly ballpark number. So, I believe if we count the hourly price, it should be able to break even, supposing the program is able to practically generate profit.

This is hard for me to believe, but it looks like ChatGPT, or another AI, can destroy online poker. I read somewhere that the developers of Pluribus declined to release the source code out of fear it would destroy online poker. I thought it was exaggeration at first, but now I think online poker is under a serious threat. We don't know for sure about the costs , but even if they are too high today, all of that will be much cheaper in a year or two, right?

It is very easy to create a replay link.Just click on the dots in the upper right of your screen while playing the slot and after a big win you will see all of your last bets that contain a multiplier higher than x40 in order to feature in the replay link, they cannot be created with a lower multiplier. In there click on replays, you will see all your last bets that contain a x40 multiplier, find the one that you hit the biggest multiplier and click create link to create a replay link,as easy as that and last but not least congrats on your huge win multiplier wise.

~
Haha, showing proof is not the purpose of sharing replays mate. It's just for us to watch your epic moment, and have fun together.
Getting replay links is extremely easy, just follow this picture (basically it's just what @swogerino said).

It would be best to remove Bet ID and other data on your above post that could deanonymize your account mate.

Just remember replay feature is only available on some providers, e.g., Pragmatic & Nolimit City (I don't have an extensive list since I mainly play only PnG, Pragmatic, and Nolimit).

Thank you, guys. Next time I have a big multuplier I will definitely provide a replay link here. I know, @mu_enrico that it's not about "showing proof", I like to watch those replays myself.

In my opinion this is the only princess game that is difficult to win.

Well, I won it, and I can tell you this, clicking the "SPIN" button wasn't that hard. Smiley
