I am just commenting here because you started this thread when the rally started in bitcoin and i am sure you never expected the price of bitcoin to touch twenty thousand dollars in the first place,that is the magic with bitcoin,you never know how high it can go in a short period of time,if you under estimate it,it will leave you behind and reach new levels,the price is always volatile and it is nothing new and it will be like that for a long time.

Holding your coins is always a good option ,but make sure you average your loss my buying the coins at dips ,so that you will be having a bigger profit rather than holding the coins and selling at a mere profit,the strategy outlined by OP is a good one,but i does have its risk,but prices are swinging in both ways on a daily basis,if you can monitor the market carefully you can make profit in any market condition.

Your subject says bitcoin is banned in Jamaica and here you are telling that bitcoin is getting banned,which one is true. Either way ,even if there is a ban,i do not see any difference in the market as i am not sure what their trading volumes are and more over a central bank coming out and declaring a ban in bitcoin,i am not sure about that.

I got you ask you one thing,is there a real pump and dump group,i usually used to think that the team behind the coin is doing these sort of manipulation with the help of the exchanges they are trading,that is how some of the tokens used to be in the past,are you telling that there are whales who work in groups to pump and dump these unknown alt coins,if so where can we find them.

It is a new technology and you need to give space for improvement,it is a legit decentralized currency but we need to have some good upgrades to accommodate everyone and the recent changes will be in effect soon and the scaling issues we have will be sorted out soon,so there is nothing to worry,the transaction fees and the time will come down .

It looks like the price of bitcoin did not go beyond $6k and the market is recovering right now and the price have already crossed $7500,so those who invested in bitcoin when the price was down could make a good profit in a very short period of time and that is how bitcoin is and hopefully we wont see the price of bitcoin below $6k.

One thing i can tell you straight is that we really do not need crypto currency banks,what is the need for a bank,everything started out because people are tried of the centralized banking system where they control everything and they do not care about the common investor,i really do not want to see any crypto banks either,because it makes no sense.

Lets say that the market is having a good correction after a really big rally,we did earn some big profits during this time and because of the big bull run and the price reaching $20k the governments around the world cannot sit back and watch,they will come up with regulations to tap the fortunes or to stifle the free flow of money and that is what we are seeing now,yes the entire financial market is going down at this moment,but i do not think this is a crisis.

Since the crypto market is a new avenue you have to study the market before investing in it,learn about potential coins,go to the altcoin section in this forum and learn about potential coins and check out the top twenty coins in the market and follow the market carefully,invest small amount of money initially and learn how trading works and that is how you improve your skills.

I really do not think that the value of bitcoin depends upon how many companies are accepting the coin to trade,you must see some growth but the majority of the growth happens when there are big funds from fund houses being invested in it,the big rally we had is because of that scenario and hopefully we will see another rally after the market settles down.

The market is under immense pressure from different corners ,from countries planning to regulate the market and the constant influx of FUD news combined is dragging the market down and there are many who invested in it through credit card and most probably they are selling off to cut their losses,these combinations are reflecting in the market ,but it will recover in due time.

It would be weird to say that you are indeed trying to save bitcoin by holding the coins,the people who are trading ,who have invested huge amount of money would not do that for the sentimental purposes,they will most likely try to cut the losses and get hold of the coin when the market goes down and then enter so that you could have the best benefit.

Every dick and harry from the financial sector was complaining about the fall of crypto currency and how big the bubble is and they really did not check where the real bubble was,trillion of dollars lost in the past few days in the stock market and it is a real mess now,the real lesson is,if you start blaming other markets and keep a closed eye,something like this will happen every now and then.

If you are looking for a bottom like that,good luck waiting for that to happen,just study the market and invest according to the trend if you are planning to make a profit ,if not you are just wasting your time ,waiting for the right opportunity ,all you can do is simply monitor the price and regret later. .I guess we have reached a good resistance point and i can see the market recovering a bit,lets see how the market will be next week and then i will decide what to do with it.

If you are new to bitcoin,then i cannot say anything,but before coming to a conclusion just check the charts and then tell me if it was a big bubble than is broken,while speaking today the market gained around a thousand dollars,if you notice that,then it is good,you must be too greedy to see the price of bitcoin breaking records every month,that not the way the markets perform.

If you are new to crypto currency and thinking that you could make a quick buck ,people would get panic when the market starts falling and that is exactly what is happening here,with every negative news the market is going down deeper,the things you have said is true,but if you see your valuation going down,there is nothing you can do that to sell,but if you are an experienced trader you know exactly how the market behave.

Why do you want to teach them about crypto currency in school and confuse the young kid,giving a small introduction is not a bad idea,but there is nothing i want to do when i am in school to learn something which i wont be interested in the first place to get an in depth detail about it,teaching them about decentralization and open source software is good if you are in college.If a kid is very much interested in technology he will learn it through internet.

What company are you talking about,hope you know about bitcoin,it weird to see someone suggesting that bitcoin is a company,for god's sake it is a decentralized crypto currency and no one owns bitcoin and no single person or corporation is running the show,it is a collective thing and you never know who is mining and who is sending the coins unless you are doing it in an exchange,there is no segregation when it comes to bitcoin,any one can take part in it.
