These 17 wins are the new 17 highest ever wins on the 'big wins' tab of satoshidice.com.

I've been knocked off of the "big wins" board!!!!!!  Cry

How many out there have been waiting for Quentin to email them back and like me have not sent any information in to him yet?  I have I believe sent him 2 emails with no response... does this mean if I haven't sent in my information because he hasn't corresponded with me yet I will be left out of gigamining payments if and when I do get my info into him?

Naelr

Hi Naelr,

It seems Quentin was having some issues with emails going directly to his spam folder. He has since turned off the spam filter and replies to email once per week.

There is currently no end date to file a claim so please email Quentin again. Once all of your documents are verified, you'll be paid all back payments.

Best,
James

To all Gigaminers:

We are very close to restarting partial operations as far as payments are concerned. I am waiting on the following things from Quentin:

  • Initial list of verified claimants. If you have submitted all of the necessary information, you should be included.
  • Terms of use and privacy policy for the VPS site.

When I start creating accounts from the verified list, you will be emailed to finish your registration to be able to sign in.

I will give everyone a day or two to update their Bitcoin address if necessary and pending payments will be created for all back payments.

Once the pending payments have been created, I will email everyone to sign in and check over the pending payments.

If all goes well, I will send out the first payments on the following Monday. All payments will continue going forward on Mondays as before.

I would like to thank everyone who has worked through the closure of GLBSE with me. I appreciate your patience.

Best,
James

P.S. The Teramining contract is complete and I will be emailing verified users the draft that suits their choice of the free or paid upgrade path.

thank you James for your effort!

pazor, you are welcome.

I spoke with Quentin last night and he is putting together the first list of verified claims. I should have this list early next week to start making back payments.

To all Gigaminers:

The new website is up.

https://www.virtualprocessingsolutions.com/

Not much has changed publicly from the old site, but the functionality to make individual and group payments is live. As Quentin starts to send me claims that have been verified, you will receive an email from the site to complete your registration and access your own secured area. You will be able to see all paid/pending payments and will be able to update your information.

As for security of the site, the entire site is under SSL and passwords are stored with bcrypt with a fairly high work factor set. We will be releasing a Terms of Use and Privacy policy as soon as they are completed.

I know this is a while coming, and we are now one step closer to getting payments going again.

I am waiting on a call from Quentin to hopefully get a list of the first verified claims. If you have any questions about the claims process, please email Quentin at the email below.

Best,
James

A block with no transactions it only takes and gives nothing back to the host (the btc network if that did not filter into your brain) hence a parasite.

Who ever said to make a block with no transactions? We are talking about COINS with no transactions.

Let me give you an example, maybe that will help you understand better.

http://blockchain.info/tx/3ea44e636930806ef302022f6e770ec6e4b6edcbd1dd965cd0ca0731d388a1f8

Take a look at the link above and you will see "No Inputs (Newly Generated Coins)". This is what I mean about COINS without a transaction history.

Make sense?
930  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Virgin Coins on: December 27, 2012, 06:01:45 PM
Sure encourage parasite blocks that are of no benefit to the BTC network get enough of them no transactions get done, hardly surprising you would come up with this idea though based on your "business" dealings of the past fits you to a tee.

You usually make sense but what exactly are "parasite blocks"? How is mining and finding blocks of no benefit to the BTC network?

SAC, did you take your medications today?
931  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Virgin Coins on: December 27, 2012, 05:32:28 PM
It's funny to see everyone in this thread basically reinventing Eligius and P2Pool.

IMO, there are many more people who do not mine than do. So virgin coins are accessible to only a small portion of the bitcoin user base.

My idea is to simply give non miners a chance to also own coin without a transaction history.

My original questions still stand, the implementation of such a service is not as important.
932  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: FC4B will no longer offer payments by MoneyPaks. on: December 27, 2012, 04:40:17 PM
This isn't anywhere near as useful as MoneyPak but maybe PayPal-Cash?

Now coinlab - any chance of getting a nice block history csv going so I can include you in my weekly stats? PM me if you want know the block history format.

Hi organofcorti,

I've have asked kinlo to update http://blockorigin.pfoe.be/ with the information jimbit provided and he has finished. You can now see coinlab's stats on his site. Looks like they've found 32 blocks out of the last 2016 making them 1.6% of the network.

Best,
James

I haven't been keeping up with this thread so thanks PG for sending out the PM last night. Below is my contribution to My Refuge House.

Today's exchange rate for redeem pool payouts is $13.29

I'm assuming these are the payments that were supposed to go out on Monday and that Thursday payments will go out as normal tomorrow?
936  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Virgin Coins on: December 26, 2012, 07:46:59 PM
What about a mining pool strictly designed solely to mine virgin coins, whereupon all those contributing to the pool receive a 10%(?) premium?

~Bruno K~

If this idea proves out, that might be an idea. I wish there was more time in the day.....
937  Economy / Services / Re: Gigamining / Teramining on: December 26, 2012, 04:11:25 PM
To all Gigaminers:

A second batch of emails have gone out to those who did not receive the first email request for claims.

Thanks to everyone who is or has filed claims. I will be reviewing the finalized claim submissions with Quentin hopefully near the end of the week.

Work continues to progress on the web system to enable all Gigaminers to easily keep track of their payments and to enable me and my staff to easily make payments.

If you have further questions about what to submit and how, please contact Quentin at the email below.

Happy holidays,

938  Economy / Services / Re: Gigamining / Teramining on: December 26, 2012, 12:39:31 PM
and is trying now to make it all 'legal'

This is the only way to move forward in confidence that Gigamining/Teramining will stay around.

and all we hear is silence on the issue

I certainly have not been silent and try to reply to those who are not keyboard screaming.

No doubt he will tell you to contact his lawyer

I am not an expert on these matters, so yes, contact Quentin with your questions.
939  Economy / Services / Re: Gigamining / Teramining on: December 26, 2012, 12:31:18 PM

Please contact Quentin at qpage@mylawyr.com for assistance. I will also bring this up when I speak with him this week.
940  Bitcoin / Hardware / [Archive] BFL trolling museum on: December 25, 2012, 03:11:03 PM
The sad thing is no one [from BFL] stops him!

It's pretty obvious that you don't read Inaba's posts. If you had, you would know that they actually make MORE MONEY when there is controversy in this thread.

You are selling more equipment for BFL every time you restart the flame war, and getting paid nothing for it I might add.
