I can't help but notice as I was scrolling and reading that NOBODY in this thread
has a trust indicator under their name. Was that set by the OP???

No. Beginners & Help board cannot show trust score directly in posts. You need to click on usernames and look in their profiles, e.g. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=420930.
923  Other / Meta / Re: my account was hacked someone try scam from it. on: February 22, 2015, 04:43:45 PM
Is account hacking common here?

No, if you use common sense security practices.  Wink
924  Other / Meta / Re: [REQUEST] Please extend maximum lenght for hero/legendary member signatures. on: February 22, 2015, 01:51:03 PM
I don't see a real reason for this. There is absolutely nothing that must be placed in the signature and that can't fit within the current limit.

Maybe you had a great idea, like double signature campaigns?..

Signature campaign usually are not allowing competitor signature ads displayed alongside their own ads.
925  Other / Meta / Re: Quickseller removal from default trust list on: February 22, 2015, 12:10:44 PM
He gave me negative trust because I lost interest in his account... major abuse of the default trust system

I cannot blame him due to You being a Newbie that when an Escrow was agreed disappeared.

Quote
Canadianbitcoins agreed to purchase an item from me for .34 and he requested to use escrow, which I agreed to. Once an escrow address was provided by the escrow service Canadianbitcoins delayed sending bitcoin to escrow and eventually disappeared, leading me to believe that he was hoping to entice me to send what was being sold to him first without escrow. I would trade with extreme caution with this person and only deal with escrow when dealing with him

This behaviour set off lots of alarm bells due to being a common scammer reaction. If You're really honest and only mismanaged your communication with him, You're better explaining yourself to him with a PM and apologize. Maybe if you're convincing enough he would turn is feedback to neutral to being only informative to Others without affecting your trust score.
926  Other / Meta / Re: [REQUEST] Please extend maximum lenght for hero/legendary member signatures. on: February 22, 2015, 11:51:34 AM
OP want to have signature length doubled to be able to put pixelated logos in them, soon after you make a proposal to have images added too. All graphics take a toll on data traffic; but, most importantly, here on bitcointalk ,we don't care to the shiny signature, we look for the post content! It's nice to have a signature, it's nice to have the possibility to rent it to a signature campaign but we should not allow a mine is bigger than yours mindset to overcome the whole forum.

Check dogie's signature for instance, we can make it a bit attractive and add more contents which would help the forum but yes, more than helping sig-ads are used.

   -MZ

Dogie's signature is a brilliant example of synthesis since he used URL shortners to put the content he want to advertise without annoying others. Dogie's allow people to reach swiftly it's guides (the needed content). OP wishing to put pixelated logos is only a waste of resources.

[IMG ]http://i62.tinypic.com/k1pb12.png[/img]

His account is clean both from Trusted & Untrusted feedbacks; so, I suppose he was asking the meaning of the warning he see on each user post in Marketplace boards. I cannot grasp the proper meaning of his question but, he maybe reffering to some users like BFL, etc...still accessing the forum with their -ve trusted accounts.

He isn't referring to his account, see above.

You quote my reply to Madness. OP was not so much clear so I had to guess what he means with his 1st post. Reply to Madness was because He tought OP was referring to its own trust score.
928  Other / Meta / Re: Warning: Trade with extreme caution!Why? on: February 22, 2015, 11:40:13 AM
Why all account's with Warning: Trade with extreme caution! are still accessible?   Angry

What do you mean? Could you clarify what are you asking about?

I think he is asking why people with negative trust are not banned.

If this was OP intention then reply should be: because is not forum policy to ban people with -ve trust score since trust was not moderated and given by each user.

Well that's how the trust system is designed .
Show us your accounts so we tell you why you get that message , it's most likely that people gave you Negative trust because you was asking for Loans without Collateral , or selling Paypal for BTC and refused to use an escrow , or they simply felt that you are going to scam someone . Or ... because you acutally scammed one .

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=959530.0 selling of slaxt account, pffft

1.make alter account, and sell your ranked account
2.say your account was hacked
3.rinse-repeat

atleast is looks that way to me.

cheers

Is this true ? If someone have some proofs feel free to contact me or quickseller (better him, in this days I'm a little busy). I don't think a negative feedback is necessary at the moment, maybe if the situation ( selling of the account) will reveal true I think we should leave him a negative feedback ( How can we trust a liar?).

It isn't verified yet but obviously, it is because the user has closed the thread after ajareselde asked about Slaxt. I think a neutral feedback would be sufficient atm.

   -MZ

I tought the same after i read ajareselde & redsn0w posts, earlier; but I didn't care enough to post here after I left OP a neutral trust feedback. Maybe if someone of the DefaultTrust-ed members care to complement mine, it would help others who have not put me in their own trust list.
931  Other / Meta / Re: [REQUEST] Please extend maximum lenght for hero/legendary member signatures. on: February 22, 2015, 10:54:02 AM
I think the signature limit of hero's is about right, if you want to differentiate between Hero's and Sr member, then may want to consider reducing the Sr member. I don't think either is necessary.
8000 characters? Do you want to write a novel?
+1. Also, IF someone want to catch others attention he need to be brief. IF synthesis is so valued is because long texts are time-consuming and annoying.

It is useful and it doesn't need high bandwidth. Smiley

Its surprising how little 4000 characters actually is. I was the one who asked Theymos to increase 2k limit as I was hitting the cap with plenty of real estate left in the actual sig space, even at 1280px wide.

933  Other / Meta / Re: [REQUEST] Please extend maximum lenght for hero/legendary member signatures. on: February 22, 2015, 10:34:02 AM
Hello,

I am asking forum moderators to change the maximum lenght for the Hero and Legendary Members signature.

Now on it's 4000 chars lenght. Full Member and Sr Member is also 4000 max lenght.

I request/suggest to change as soon as possible the max lenght for Hero/Legendary to 8000 characters.

BBCode Sig designers will have more space for their designs. And Hero members will gain some extra ++ from beign a Hero member Smiley

Please consider my request and aprove it.

Thanks.

Best regards.
=snip=

But a pixelated logos etc.

And 4000 chars is not enough for that I am telling you for sure Smiley

6000 would be awesome too. But 8000 will be just perfect and no one will ever need more Wink I am pretty sure about that.
=snip=
I think, for Legendary, supporting images(same size as signature) in the link would be good.

   -MZ

Have any of you requesting such bandwith-sucker improvements ever tried to having to connect to forum with a mobile network? I will not pay an hefty increased mobile bill due to the increase data traffic your increased signature or signature with images bring with them to everyone having the misfortune to read a thread where you have posted something.
Such ideas of ever more lengthy signature and signature with images should be banned for good from bitcointalk community!

I think the signature limit of hero's is about right, if you want to differentiate between Hero's and Sr member, then may want to consider reducing the Sr member. I don't think either is necessary.

I don't know Russian Language so, I cannot grasp the purpose of your first 2 links but i find the whole thread totally off-topic here. I think a post about the YouTube video could belong to Bitcoin Discussion board; no reason at all to be in Meta board.

937  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Getting paid for signature space? on: February 22, 2015, 08:05:30 AM
you dont have to be higher than newbie , to benefit from signature campaigns , i'd reccomend buying a full member account or smth tho , since that will make you earn much faster.

I strongly advise against a newbie buying an higher ranked account to partecipate in signature ads campaigns because the majority of newbies usually end being careless in posting with a signature ad resulting in a permaban before they realized their wrongdoings. A net loss of BTC for them.
IF a newbie still want to buy an higher ranked account to earn BTC from signature campaigns I suggest him to be fully knownledgable with the unofficial list of official forum rules as mantained by mprep before starting posting with a signature ad.
938  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Is this roughly how Bitcoin works? on: February 22, 2015, 07:52:45 AM
Basically I could set my old laptop that I dont use anymore to do this on a regular basis correct?  I understand that to really get into this, you do need more computing power than a single old laptop, especially to make more money at it so I would be pretty lucky to get anything.  But thats basically what I could do right?

Basically old laptop would work, but you will waste much more electricity than you get Bitcoins. Even with very specialized ASIC hardware for bitcoin mining you need the most power effecient one + cheap electricity to be profitable.
or you could just steal power from the sun  Roll Eyes

It's easy! Use solar panel! Tongue

   -MZ

In most countries subsidies to generate electricity with solar panels earn more than BTC mining; so, you need to do your own homework to avoid incurring in an opportunity cost!  Wink
939  Other / Meta / Re: Banned on: February 22, 2015, 07:22:31 AM
Why em I banned for 30 plus days. Say I post to small plus sig 30 days. Im not even apart of a sig campaign I don't understand why they just banned me???

Here a unofficial list of official forum rules as mantained by mprep. Repeated offences lead to increasing long bans. Also be aware that longer bans are handled if offender wear a signature ad (presumption of guilt).t
Try educate yourself in being a constructive and useful contributor to the forum instead of a spammy nuisance before your account will be permabanned.

i want to earn 0.5 - 1 btc
i try many times but Without the benefit
please help me >>> give me the way to earn 0.5 -1 bitcoin  Huh

Works for salary then buy BTC with your country fiat currency. However, You could also trying wearing a signature advertising to earn some BTC while posting here contributing to BTC-community. An overview of signature advertising campaigns is available here.
he's a newbie though , he should probably buy an account first so that he can actually get some reel money.

I never suggest someone to buy account; also, in a newbie case I strongly advice against doing so because the majority of newbies usually end being careless in posting with a signature ad resulting in a permaban before they realized their wrongdoings. A net loss of BTC for them.
