941  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: I got scammed by Freewallet.org for 120000 USDT TRC20. SCAM alert!  Don't use th on: July 13, 2023, 10:38:08 PM
..
Sorry, you seem like a novice, therefore, the only one you can blame here is the one who introduced you to this field and told you that freewallet is a reliable service. Anyone around here can tell you that any custodial wallet (some may go miles further and say closed source apps) shouldn't to be trusted. I'm sorry for your loss, but you should have done your own investigation! Can't say any thing else, unfortunately!
942  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Scam alert - rollcat.io on: July 13, 2023, 09:45:03 PM
I agree with what other members have said. This is a new casino that no one, except you, have heard of. It's normal, if you and many other customers start winning they will run out of money and they will become unable to pay you your winnings. Their only option is to look for excuses why they shouldn't pay you.
Sorry, but it's your fault for trusting a new casino that has no reputation. Thank you for the warning and I've hoped there was something we can help you with to get your money back. Unfortunately, there isn't.

948  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Referral bonuses are waste of time on: July 10, 2023, 12:01:41 AM
..
Do you know why many people think that affiliate programs do not work and they are a waste of time! Because they tried it and failed to gain any profit from it.
They failed but this is not because those programs do not work, rather, it's because the don't know how to make them work.
Most of them share their links on popular groups, forums.. but they forget that most of the followers of those groups are not interested in gambling. They Wil simply skip your link and even if some of them will click on the link and register on the casino, only one or two will make a deposit.
But if you target a gambling community, even if it's smaller in numbers, then you will have better chances to get more loyal referrals
949  Economy / Gambling / Re: Without money, does it still qualify as gambling? on: July 09, 2023, 11:25:22 PM
Again, I am a it disappointed that you guys are still arguing about this subject, although the subject has been deviated a little bit.
You need to check the definition of what gambling is and what is considered gambling then you can judge if playing a game without risking money can be considered as gambling.
According to the replies of some members, we can say that football matches, video games or any other game where there is a winner and a loser is considered as gambling. Come on!
950  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Advice when you are going a bit far in gaming and betting on: July 09, 2023, 10:11:32 PM
Once you deposit your monthly salary in the casino, it will turn out to be a habit in the long run and you will regret such habits one day after losing all and nothing left behind.
This is very interesting and it has gone unnoticed, not surprising though. The moment you deposit your whole salary on a casino then you can realize, without any doubt, that you went a bit too far!
Gambling is supposed to be a fun activity and you are supposed to spend some of your salary on such activities. Spending all your money on it isn't a good sign regardless of how sure you are about winning. I would call anyone who does such thing an addict.
951  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Warning: sigft.com is a scam website that steals your crypto on: July 09, 2023, 08:56:23 PM
But if they had tried to learn about the platform by posting on this forum before using it, they would not have been scammed. Even after spreading so much awareness in the crypto community, crypto users are still falling victim to scams on various fake websites which is surprising. Actually newbies don't try to learn anything at first, but when they are victims of scams, they are somewhat interested in research.
Not all crypto users, especially beginners, are aware of the existence of this forum. Besides most of them start using those fake platforms because they where introduced to them by people they trust or they because they were offered an offer they can't refuse and don't want to miss it. Like a huge deposit bonus or trade rates higher than what you can find on other exchanges? All I can hope is that OP has learned the lesson and will always do his own research before sending money to any platform.
952  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Can I make cold wallet off line and has the ability to consolidate the utxo on: July 09, 2023, 08:17:47 PM
No. The private keys of the cold wallet will remain offline.
OP should use the private keys of the hot wallet and the cold wallet to create a new wallet on the offline device. He/she should also create a new watch-only wallet using addresses of those wallets.

Yes, both of you are correct. The private keys will remain on the offline device. I know the chances are to slim and almost non-existent but there is still a chance that a malicious person could be sitting behind you and taking a good look at your screen while you are extracting tb'he wallet's private key. Again, I know it's almost impossible that someone can remember a private key just by taking a quick look at it, but it's still a risk. Better be safe than sorry.
953  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: SCAM - mycoinchange.io - Fake Crypto Exchange on: July 08, 2023, 11:48:45 PM
The whole medium article is a joke! It was written one day ago and in it, the author is promoting chipmixer as one of the best mixers but we all know that chipmixer has been taken down and it's not operational any more. Also I have doubts about the onion address he shared, because as far as I know the real address starts with mixorfly or something like that.
Unfortunately, I don't have tor on my mobile so I can't verify it myself.
954  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: No option to send funds from mobile app (Android) on: July 08, 2023, 11:20:02 PM
omfg I got it to work!! I must have copied and pasted this 12+ times already over the last 6 hours. But I was about to post it here, and for some reason it worked when I tried it again.
Glad you managed to fix the issue.
When copying the address always make sure there is no white space at the start or at the end. I always make this mistake especially when I copy an address manually from a text file or something like that.
Electrum devs should work on this to make it easier for the user to figure out what he has done wrong.
955  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: The wallet is not responding! on: July 08, 2023, 10:26:02 PM
Unfortunately, Electrum is not the best app when it comes to handling wallets with huge number of transactions. Either be a bit more patient and give it more time to complete syncing or try importing your seed into another wallet that supports it (afaik BlueWallet does).
The good news is that your funds are safe.

Next time, make sure to consolidate your inputs regularly to avoid facing the same problem again.
956  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Can I make cold wallet off line and has the ability to consolidate the utxo on: July 08, 2023, 09:49:18 PM
^^
If this is indeed what OP is asking about then the solution you suggested should work. However, although it might be the cheapest solution I don't think it's the safest one since you need to expose the offline wallet's private keys.
Better spend few more sats on safety and consolidate the outputs with two transactions: send the coins from the online wallet to the cold one then consolidate all the outputs on the latter.
957  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: Bitcoin Core as main wallet on: July 08, 2023, 08:54:03 PM
...
I just want to add to what you have said  that although only the most recent blocks (the number of blocks dépend on the node'd configuration) wilm be stored on your hard drive when running a pruned node, you still need to download all the bocks from the genesis block till the most recent one when you run bitcoin core for the first time.
958  Economy / Gambling / Re: Impossible KYC Requirements - Stake.com - Withholding $6000 USD on: July 07, 2023, 11:58:14 PM
MmIf you think about why people who gamble with thousands of dollars or hundreds of dollars don't verify from the start to a certain level so that there is no confusion when withdrawing later on even though Stake has regulations regarding KYC,
Not going to talk about stake or any other casino, but if it's been mentioned on the ti's that kyc is required then better verify you identity from the start.
Any licensed casino will ask you for your legal documents sooner or later, either you verify your identity from the start or be ready to verify it later when requested.
Personally, I would doubt any one who will deposit a large amount on a casino without having a verified account. This rises suspicions.
959  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gamble Responsibly on: July 07, 2023, 11:29:36 PM
Those who gamble daily are addicts and don't gamble for fun....
not all people who gamble daily are addicted to gambling,

You are totally right!
It doesn't matter for how long you stay on a casino or how much you spend there. What matters is the time and money you spend there is a money and time you can afford to lose? Are you having fun when playing? If the answer is yes for the previous questions then you are all right. If no, then you might have addiction problem.
960  Economy / Gambling / Re: Whats happening with Betnomi? on: July 07, 2023, 10:43:57 PM
The only good thing here is that OP got his money. However, it's unfortunate to see such a a reputable casino falls to keep his customers updated and avoid addressing their concerns.
Their representative is still active on this forum but he didn't even bother to chime in and reconfort the customer by explaining what's the cause of the problem. If you are going to take your website down for maintenance, then you should inform all your customers about this before proceeding.
