941  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: South Korea discuss the possibility to give crypto a legal status on: November 01, 2019, 08:07:20 PM
Currently, crypto is NOT taxed in korea. If they do this, it most likely WILL be taxed in korea.

Please everyone, for the sake of me, let’s all sign a petition to stop the Korean government from doing this to ME and everyone like me. This will not raise trading volumes on korean exchanges and will only hurt those invested in crypto in korea.

Damn you Korean government! Damn you all to hell....!    Source: http://www.thebchain.co.kr/news/articleView.html?idxno=5981

Just a mere online petition is not going to make any difference and please help me understand if everyone adopts crypto and uses it to pay their bill, service providers and business then government is losing out on tax as it's as simple as tax evasion just because you are using crypto as a mode of payment. I think it's our duty to pay tax if we are earning through crypto as well and fall on the slab of taxable income.
942  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Good website or source for price predictions on: November 01, 2019, 12:27:32 PM
There are few ones on the internet, use google but i don't  use them because they are useless, used to follow one and it failed when bitcoin hits 19k, the real truth is no one saw it coming, anything based on prediction has no guarantee

Yes we cannot trust any prediction unless we see certain affairs which will affect crypto market as right now there are speculations that the price will increase due to Chinese government's stance towards blockchain has been positive but we cannot believe it as it's just another prediction but there are news that the price will go high due to halving and this is something which we can believe because we know this will create more demand. We can go through all the speculations and filter out those which really matters along with our own research.
943  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Let's Build THE Community on: November 01, 2019, 12:14:49 PM
If you want to do this properly, then you should register a recognizable domain and create a website to do this. A thread like this will just fade away over time and nobody will use it as a reference.

The main mandate of a project like this should be to educate people on the difference between a centralized and decentralized technology and also the threats associated with centralized Blockchain based technologies.

People should know the difference, because most of these centralized Blockchain based technologies would do more harm than good.  Angry

Let's create the community here first then we may consider other options as well.

For now, we should build a manifest and centralized coin list. I want you to contribute to these.

What you have planned is a noble task which keep us away from centralized coins thus eliminating the risk of crypto domain being taken over by centralized organizations. But without a proper domain it will be difficult to keep the community together and I would suggest you to start a domain and create various social media groups for this cause in order to be in touch with all as it's just a matter of few hours this post will be over shadowed by new posts. We need to start with basic and you can create a telegram group to begin with and share it over here so that those who are interested can join and help us in this and I would love to be a part of it.
944  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will DEX's ever get the liquidity and volume of Centralized Exchanges today? on: November 01, 2019, 10:55:53 AM
~snip~
But lately I could see several good DEX coming up, this is a good sign for future DEX and there is no doubt 2020 there will be something better coming up.
This sounds good, can you give u recommendation what DEX platform is good to use, I am very grateful if you give the link, because for now I only use idex and forkdelta.

Yes it will be helpful if we get to know the decent DEX as I have tried IDEX once and that's all I am done with decentralized exchanges as it's too complicated and I don't think DEX will ever match the growth of centralized exchange unless they invest a huge amount of money to fix all the issues like latency, support, user interface to attract more users which will help them to improve the volume and liquidity but I don't see any decentralized exchanges heading towards the right direction as of now.

I wish you could have mentioned that it's not your work as this is a half picture you have have snipped and even though it's a useful article for newbies to get familiar with the slang and short forms as these are basics for cryptocurrency as whole not trading, but the original picture had more information as it's just a half of the picture which you have snipped. Whenever you see this post again please edit it and credit the owner of this picture.
946  Economy / Economics / Re: Ushering in a Crypto Golden age for India on: November 01, 2019, 10:22:59 AM
The article talks about facts! Let me summarize it for you all!

India is lossing opportunities big time as a lot of young business owners are still waiting for the regulatory uncertainties to go away! RBI and policy makers have already thrown away few good companies like zebpay, Unocoin from the economy and zebpay moved to Singapore to continue their business! So new entrepreneurs are not willing to take further risks during such uncertain times, rather they are considering foreign land to start their business and foreign exchanges are eating out a big chunk from the pie!

Not sue what is meant by Golden age by the author! It's no golden age, just dark times for crypto communities in India!

Yeah, seems like so many Indian nationals are going for opportunities outside of their country. I personally work in an international organization with lots of officers from India. They are dark times for India indeed but the article talks of an "incoming" golden age which may put an  end to all this government bureaucracy.

Most probably, cryptocurrency will bring India to this golden age.

India is indeed a huge market for any thing but when it comes to crypto currency the government has neither banned crypto nor it will support but it's the banks who are threatening users to avoid bitcoin or crypto trading. Already many politicians and celebrities from India have invested into bitcoin so they cannot take firm stand against bitcoin ever. It's like a deadlock wherein as an organization the bankers and RBI don't want crypto influence in India but as an individual they are already involved in it. It will always be uncertain and I have seen so many India based crypto services provider moving out to Singapore as well as Estonia.
947  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Share Your Experiences on: November 01, 2019, 10:09:41 AM
Was reading about how Bitcoin first came into existence and people's first experiences with Bitcoin, cryptocurrency, etc on Reddit. I want to know how your guy's first experiences was with Bitcoin, and if you ever had any regrets or wins throughout the years. Also, would be cool to know how people first actually got Bitcoin back nearly a decade ago when it wasn't as easy as buying some from a local Bitcoin ATM near you.

One of my friend introduced me to bitcoin and said we can shared me some video link which was over an 2 hours video explaining in and out of bitcoin and it's purpose then he introduced me to this forum saying that we earn earn bitcoin just by posting comments in this forum and bitmixer was one of the reigning signature campaigns at that point of time and that's how I earned bitcoin before gradual excelling into other ways like trading, investment and all but unfortunately I lost my private key for blockchain wallet as I was bit careless at that point of time.

949  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: If you have to sell bitcoin to an alt, so... on: November 01, 2019, 09:19:15 AM
Not a good idea since selling bitcoin to an altcoin is not profitable and most likely you will lose the value of coin or token that you will be buying and it would be much better to trade bitcoin since the value is  going up and down.

And selling an altcoin to bitcoin is much better but it will depends on how much you have bought in. So it will be much profitable and gain more satoshi.

Yes it's always a bad idea to trade bitcoin for altcoin as altcoin's value depends on bitcoin and not the vice versa. Again it depends from a person to person even I did trade bitcoin for litecoin in the past and that trade was fruitful to me on a short term. We could rather directly purchase altcoin instead of selling bitcoin in order to buy altcoin, as the value of bitcoin will increase for sure if altcoin has to rise and moreover if we used fiat to buy tokens/altcoin (only potential) then it will be more profitable.
950  Economy / Speculation / Re: Don't react to the fluctuations on: November 01, 2019, 09:04:36 AM
We can react if its necessary, if you are day trading, every price fluctuation is important to you as that would give you a timing to make your entry point.
However, for most traders which are only focus on long term, they should understand that price fluctuation in crypto is normal since this market is very volatile and as long as they believe that the fundamentals of bitcoin is good, they should hold on even if the market struggles.

Yes I know fluctuations are earning opportunity for the day traders and this post which I shared was my personal opinion as I personally cannot be involved in full time day trading but yes there are many who fully into day trading and they might feel my post is irrelevant by this post was for normal users like myself who are not into day trading because day trading is not for everyone.
951  Economy / Economics / Re: How many bitcoiners on here have actually used bitcoin/crypto for commerce? on: November 01, 2019, 08:50:56 AM
after my firs trade on btc which i had sold 2 btc for 13usd long before, i had never traded on that before

i had focus on earning and using that for buying anything i need to keep my privacy even more safer
since 2011, i had used around 1.3btc in purchasing things and services i needed and i am very much happy about that, even though i had been scammed twice by paying crypto  Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy

in last 3 years any servers i had paid for my sites and personal usages had been paid by crypto too  Grin

Are you serious ? You traded 2 BTC for $13, I feel sad for you and this might be really a hard feeling to carry on and because I once lost my private and still regret even though there was less that one BTC. I tried using bitcoin on some ecommerce site but stopped myself as they seemed to be fake sites and post which I did not take risk of using bitcoin to buy something as the value just pumped and then it plummeted down again.
952  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The crypto hell: the exchangers manipulation. on: November 01, 2019, 08:40:56 AM
Manipulation of trading volume is indeed a mistake that has not recently occurred. The real purpose I also do not really understand because there are many possibilities such as, want to raise the prestige of the exchange, want to ride the prestige of a coin, or may want to cheat someone. Whatever the reason, I think this is a mistake that should not be done.

It's an unethical practice which is used by so many mid and low level exchanges and the real reason behind this would be to show fake volume of a particular coin and sometimes they just try to increase the price of a particular coin by doing this due to some sort of agreement between the developer of coins and the exchange. Also they want to attract users by showing fake high volume which is just a bot trading and now they are losing their user base because of these cheap tactics.
953  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Bad experience with exchanges on: October 31, 2019, 10:54:36 PM
I not had any problem with exchange fortunately, only some small issue because of problems that occured from forks for that coin at that time but was solved after, but now i use only coinbase and Binance.

When it comes to coinbase and Binance it's a smooth transition, even I use these exchanges mostly Binance as it has more options. I had a bad experience with shapeshift wherein I missed out to enter destination tag the the transaction was struck in the gateway as I was doing it in hurry in order to cash out I forgot to enter it and after a lengthy chat I got it back and by the time it was back market the value got changed drastically. It's one of my mistake which I still regret.
954  Economy / Securities / Re: Looking for investment service on: October 31, 2019, 10:49:02 PM
Hello, I'm looking for someone that has a lot of experience in crypto exchange to invest for me.  Will start slowly with small amounts and 25% payout on the profit made.  The amount and the percentage will increase once trust established.  If interested, please email me at www.jimmykhan@gmail.com

If you have an interesting project then you should be posting some sort of details about it here and the basic thing would be a legit website and I am afraid you might be termed as scammer if you make these sort of posts. I would suggest you to brief about your project and if it's really trustworthy and need of the hour you will find investor for sure, but this post might not yield any results.
955  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Cryptonization Fail ? on: October 31, 2019, 10:37:52 PM
Many projects were created in order to help people, to make some area more successful and convenient to use. However, there are many projects with the goal of earning and nothing more. Cryptonization has just begun, let's see what happens next.

Yes the main agenda of starting up a project is to help people in their daily life like altcoins have provided so many wonderful projects in the past like lightening speed money transfer, chat applications, real estate platform, etc you name it we have a project with those domain in order to simplify our live but in last one year the market have been ruined due to entry of bunch of scammers who used it for their own benefits wherein some of them ran away with investor's money while some of them dumped their own project. Now the investors and community are well aware of all these things and only genuine projects will survive which is a good thing for us.
956  Economy / Speculation / Re: Do we still expect a repeat of 2017 ? on: October 31, 2019, 10:20:46 PM
The golden era of crypto may come once again, but I don't think it will happen this year! The crypto bull run can start after the Bitcoin halving which is fixed on 14 May 2020! And this time Bitcoin will surpass the previous high of 2017!  Therefore the crypto market will boost in November, but that will not be a bull run!

I think it will be a gradual price increase when we experience until first quarter of 2020 then we might see a fall which might be planned for the purpose of reinvestment in order to cash out post bull run which might start post bull run and yes if we don't see bull run this year then it will be much bigger in the year 2020 and we will have more players and users are well aware of whale's tactics so it will be really interesting this time.
957  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Best altcoin to invest excluding ETH on: October 31, 2019, 10:10:59 PM
Right now the market situation is not so much to make any predictions but can do some experiment at our own risk by investing into altcoin.

But if we have to try something different by investing into a new altcoin which has caliber to perform well rather than investing on a reputed altcoins like Ethereum.  Kindly suggest which would be the best altcoin to invest which is under $1.

according to my observations for now it is very good if we invest some of the money we have in TRON (TRX) ... because right now I see the movement is very good and I am sure TRX will rise higher than the current price. and I am also interested in BCNEX coins, which currently have relatively stable BCNEX prices that are traded on their own markets.

Yes TRON is doing good from couple of weeks and definitely making it's presence felt across crypto market and it's in my watch list as well and the best part about TRON is that we can it's affordable unlike other top altcoins. I am not too sure about BCNEX but I would prefer BNB but now it's between BNB and TRON for further investment as it had been BNB all this while.
958  Economy / Economics / Re: So much for cashless society: cash is gaining in popularity on: October 31, 2019, 10:00:58 PM

The question of what the best store of value is, has gained in popularity lately. It appears the solution some have adopted is: paper money is the best store of value! The trend of holding paper money has traditionally been more common in nations like japan but appears to be spreading to the united states. It won't be long before the media publishes news stories about unfortunates storing paper bills under their mattresses only for their cash to be devoured by termites, ants or assorted insects. To "nudge" consumers away from that horrible, nasty, evil paper currency, towards a digital cash future.
All of which highlights a dire need for: paper cryptocurrency.

Paper money or fiat money can be getting more interest by a lot of people based on the cited statistics but these people can be wrong all because that fiat money is very much subjected to inflation, so at the end the store of value they are looking for may not be there at all. I would not argue that between a digital asset which we can't see, touch and examine and a fiat money which is, of course, tangible many people may choose the fiat one but this is because they do not know better. People who are educated with cryptocurrency already have a different mindset. Now, this means that there are still many people that cryptocurrency has not reached...and this is opening a bigger market for it to play and conquer. However, let me be clear that I do not believe that we need to eliminate the fiat money just because we are involved with cryptocurrency because the two can actually coexist peacefully and be complimenting each other.

As you have mentioned we cannot just talk bad about fiat just because we use cryptocurrency as there are group of people who will always use fiat regardless of the crypto growth as crypto is still an alien thing for a larger number of people and there are people who will use crypto as alternative for fiat to an extend and yes both can coexist peacefully as they serve similar purpose as a mean of transaction in day to day life. If we started talking bad or bad mouthing fiat then it will leave a negative impact on us and we will be at the losing end.

959  Economy / Economics / Re: Africa - Hidden Treasure for the world and bitcoin on: October 31, 2019, 09:49:05 PM
When we hear about Africa most of us assume about the poverty or unemployment but honestly the kind of natural minerals they reserve they could be one of the richest nation but the problem over there is that neither government nor the citizens get benefited by their natural reserves due to warlords occupying it but do you think if government takes stern step and utilize the resource in the appropriate way and accepts bitcoin as a payment mode for exports then Africa can bloom again and this will help bitcoin if those products can be purchased using bitcoin so it will increase the trade which will benefit them in their GDP and will increase the demand for bitcoin thus triggering the price pump.

The condition of the African continent is really pitiful. More than just Bitcoin or even blockchain, the Africans should try to revisit their very basic personal values and cultures. I don't think Bitcoin or blockchain can address the most pressing issues of the land. There is widespread poverty, corruption, wars, illiteracy, lack of basic needs, warlordism, and many more social, political, and economic problems. Africa is blessed in terms of natural resources but look at how they fare in their daily lives. They should learn to unite and move forward as one blood. Right now, the foreign companies and governments are exploiting their resources indiscriminately without even improving the lives of those people around.

Exactly, It's really sad to see their situation eventhough they have rich natural reserves and moreover you might see inequality like one person will strive to get bread in his table wherein others live in palaces and enjoys their life king size especially politicians and war lords. The worst part over there is that they don't listen to public and just crush the protests or demands with iron fist. UN needs to intervene and do some justice as Africa can be a golden valley of the world if the resources are utilized in proper way and spent on public infrastructure and welfare.
960  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What scares you the most? on: October 31, 2019, 09:39:38 PM
This fun picture got me thinking. https://imgur.com/2GwIL5Y

What are your biggest fear in crypto?
As for me, it's losing my private keys by accident. I know that the risk is minimal, but the thought of it makes me anxious from time to time. Also, I'm afraid that BTC dumps during the transaction.

Waking up one morning and knowing that the whole cryptocurrency market went down to nothing?
Or maybe finding out that all your crypto (or your private keys) was stolen or lost somehow?

By the way, Happy Halloween!

Losing private key is my worst nightmare since the day I lost my private key for blockchain wallet and also forgot the password for it and ended up losing a good amount of bitcoin, yes market dump is always pain in wrong place and I fear about my account being hacked than the market dump as I am really concerned especially about my Binance account.
