941  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading is better than Holding on: April 03, 2020, 04:04:01 PM
Candidly speaking, holding is rewarding but trading is more profitable than holding. I have been through in the two arms of these branch of cryptocurrency. Trading for me can earn me approximately 5% every week which is my daily profit for every opportunity that exist in the process. Sometimes, when the market stand positively to my side, I earn as high as 9% which happened on mid term trade.

For holding, there is no huge profit even sometimes the portfolios drop beyond our imaginations because of the fragility of the cryptocurrency market. Holding is rewarding when the market experience a huge bullish moments.

Do not make gambling as your everyday doings, make it only as your way of entertainment.

Doing gambling on every day basis doesn't dose off gambling addiction neither is a remedy to addiction. Many have been said about making gambling a form of entertainment and not to be see as an earning point. But, these are just verbal saying and virtual suggestions from gamblers randomly, the reality of this is: doing gamble for entertainment reason or purpose is not achievable for 98% of gamblers but here on the forum we'll preach the good gospel without saying the truth therein. Addiction live with all gamblers but some(very few individuals) have control over this act of gambling.
943  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What will the gambling addicts do now that the casinos have closed? on: April 03, 2020, 08:03:29 AM
As an addict, you either atop to gamble or increase your addiction along the line. Gamblers are quite greedy when it come to money online or when their is tendency of doubling money. The closure of these casinos will actually divert the attentions of these sect to a different thing entirely, like gambling in the neighborhood with co-gamblers. This has happened in our neighborhood several time and still happening. An addict gambler is a gambler and will do anything to satisfy their conscience. They always found a way out of their boredom around the industry.
944  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Did gambling cause you to have difficulty in sleeping as a gambler? on: March 31, 2020, 04:36:26 PM

To my co-gamblers: these days are tempting, ensure to be more careful with your savings and "never gamble what you can't afford to lose"
Every gambler have experienced this one time or another, especially when we are just starting out, I experienced that myself when I was a newbie and have no control all I just want is to win and to recover all my losses, and forgetting that if you chase your losses you will end up with nothing left, I soon developed a will to control my betting.
yeah and eventually as days passed by we must learn from our mistakes and this is what responsible gamblers do.
the problem is if the player has no self control in this things change and gambling becomes a Bad area of living but the truth is?we are the one whos responsible for our mistakes.

I agree absolutely, it was my own fault as it was avoidable in the first place. Lesson learned so far: as a gambler ensure to have  self control over your mind, if you must gamble gamble with limited funds which you can afford to dump for be careless and finally, never double gamble when you are at lost in the first place, this strategy seem demonic and should be avoided by gamblers IMO.

I deeply appreciate all your contributions and  concerns, they must all be put to use this time.
945  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I'm concern for this family on this covid-19 pandemic on: March 31, 2020, 12:26:58 PM
Hello guys, I have been concern for the users of this forum that seem like a family not withstanding some members trying to scam others , scamming altcoin bounty managers inclusive Grin.

Greediness on the part of Newbies and inability of many bounty hunters to carryout simple research before join any bounty campaign is a disease.

Therefore, my worries are in different folds, from :

1. The loss or value reduction of our investment in general and cryptocurrency .

Never a new thing to us though. Better for these times to buy more for the future; no more quick money syndrome  Cheesy

2. Is anyone here in isolation, quarantine or their family member ?

We'll are quarantine even @Theymos.

3. Has anyone here been tasted positive to covid-19 or their family member ?

It is Possible, but for those involved May God grant them speedy recovery {Amin}.

The big question however is, can we have Theymos pulling it on us bit bleeder tomorrow about his covid-19 status to be "positive" ?  Grin Shocked
Remember April 1 is just few hours away.

There will be surprises as always from Theymos (April F$€£s)

I wish us all healthy living as we keep maintaining social distancing.

Wish you too; comrade, "stay safe".
946  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Now is a good time on: March 30, 2020, 09:25:36 PM
Nice time to be self quarantine, basically I have done some good thing since the "stay at home policies of the government" this policy have actually started yielding good fruits to my liken as I have already recorded one soul into the world of Bitcoin. Today I took my in-law into the word of cryptocurrency and he was amazed about the technology and said he never heard about the technology so far. If this can be done as the stay at home continues, many souls will be won and many potential investors and gamblers will be added to the community.

Although, my lectures where basically on getting to know the technology (Bitcoin and the Blockchain) and not how he can make some decent or quick money from the technology. This should be the preaching so that they can discover the ways of making money from the technology themselves.
947  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Did gambling cause you to have difficulty in sleeping as a gambler? on: March 30, 2020, 08:44:18 PM
<~snip~>

But as humans, everyone has their own untold stories which caused me not to get the right amount of sleep for couple of years in the past.

You're right, we have different stories and those stories are the reasons we're string today and also be able to control our emotions. Your case wasn't like mine from the look of thing, but haven taken the right decision to give  up will actually make.your gambling life look different.

It seem that, what you actually gambled was far bigger than what I lost, more also, ensure you gamble with limited funds and if possible entrust your gambling funds to a friend of yours who also gamble, with this you can have a limit.
948  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Did gambling cause you to have difficulty in sleeping as a gambler? on: March 29, 2020, 08:56:54 PM

..this happened because of boredom of staying at home.
Well, almost gamblers are this what they are doing now. We should follow the mandatory that implemented by the government to stay at home for our safety measure. If you had experienced the difficulty of sleeping as a gambler and maybe you are chasing too much money, --but, I have friendly advice not to do it because it perhaps the reason your immune system will down and perhaps you are easily infected with this pandemic decease, the coronavirus. Indeed, at this time we need to have enough rest for a healthy body. You can minimize it if you want.

You're correct, although I have been through this hard times and came.out of the loss stronger than before, am very happy to be here with good friends around. Candidly speaking, at the very first time I lost the fund to the gambling platform, I wasn't myself for almost 4-6 days but right now am healthier than before and if giving another chance to gamble I will do wonderfully well beyond human recognition.

Most of my times now  are for me to look after the family and to carryout my forum posting targets. Also, I have chosen many courses to participate in during this stay at home policy.  Currently have gotten Blockchain expert certification and have moved into other projects just to acquire the needed knowledge for my hustling.
949  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is Betting Double After Losing is Really a Good Decision? on: March 29, 2020, 04:22:32 PM
Double your games while loosing only means that you are ready to run deeper into your loose and nothing more. Many individuals have tried this strategy and came out to deepened their lost. This was the caused of my lost last time on virtual sport betting and integrated my actions. This is not a good decision for any gambler to embark upon, gamble responsibly and be more cautions of your limit during the play(Gambling).

I believed many have been cautioned while others haven't been but whosoever that the fire bite always learn lesson from others. I have just learned my own lesson and nothing you tell me in gambling.
950  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Did gambling cause you to have difficulty in sleeping as a gambler? on: March 29, 2020, 04:02:09 PM

That is why gambling too much is not good. Playing with your savings is not ideal, especially during this pandemic. Everyone is struggling and yet some gamblers are still gambling with their funds. And take note that some employees are even forced to stopped working with no pay. During this situation let us not be selfish and use pur money to satisfy our gambling addiction.

You should have read my write up carefully, I have not actually experience such a thing from gambling before now, this happened because of the mandatory stay at home from the government. I did this gambling without any constraint and I have learned my biggest mistake. Also, not all that loose their money in gambling are addicted, like me am not an addict, this happened because of boredom of staying at home. So Please don't misinterpret my write-ups.
951  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Anyone here dream of achieving their financial goal in life through gambling? on: March 29, 2020, 12:47:57 PM
For people who does not have enough income to live a comfortable life, we try to find ways to end the struggle, we take big risk to gain big rewards so if we will be successful, we don't need to work anymore and just enjoy the rest of our life doing the things that we can't do due to lack of money.

are you one of the people who dream like this?

Show me that gambler that is doing successfully in gambling and I will show you his secret behind his or her sources of incomes. Stop deceiving us that, you can earn from gambling and make it as your source of income. During this hard times that we're all quarantine, I got myself pees off as I lost the money for the family just because I wanted to earn from gambling. It has come to my notice that, many of these words to stimulate gamblers on this forum actually does and that should be commended by gambling platform owners.

 My final submission is: you shouldn't allow greediness to rule your gambling mindset, ensure to make yourself a limit.
952  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is Betting Double After Losing is Really a Good Decision? on: March 28, 2020, 09:14:52 PM
Perhaps you will eventually lose your fund to this strategy because it has happened to me. This has been my strategy some few times in my earliest days in gambling but was not too good for likened. Although, anyone can give a try to this strategy, it might be rewarding and it can still be the worst anyone could imagine in the world of gambling.double your betting when you lose means a probability of you losing the more even after your tenth lose. "Ensure to gamble what you can afford to lose" because it hut more when you lose more.
953  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: (POLL) The most beautiful football jersey ever? on: March 28, 2020, 08:26:48 PM
You have just reminded me of my national team (Nigeria) Jersey in 1996, this team did wonderfully well and had a good record to recall with during the Atlanta, so, I would love you add the team Jersey because it was one of the very best at that time. Your inspiration that brought about this thread really deserve some reward but will keep my eyes on the thread.

You have just started using your self compulsory quarantine meaningfully compared to myself that get hurt few weeks ago, I gambled my only #30,000 (NGN) meant for the family, but seeing you doing some good thinking this time amazes me, keep it up comrade.
954  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What will the gambling addicts do now that the casinos have closed? on: March 28, 2020, 01:59:27 PM
<~snip~>

What will most gambling addicts do when they can no longer gamble at casinos, and what do you think they'll do when the casinos reopen in several months from now? Will most of them be finally cured of their gambling addiction, or will most of them return to their old ways?

~~~~  Many gambling addicts will regret their staying at home due to this pandemic that forces the government to banned movement to enforce stay at home policy.
You're right about this, with the recent stay at home actually made me lose something big to a gamble platform which wasn't meant to be use for gamble but unfortunately I found myself gambling with the fund and its just disappeared with a twinkling of an eye. This can be tracked to my boredom at home during this self compulsory quarantine period. Frankly saying, am not an addicts but was surprise to see myself falling into what I cautioned many against. I regretted my actions against my greediness which landed me to such great loose that I have never expected in my gambling life. Though, it just a lesson for me and others.
955  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: CORONAVIRUS IMPACT ON SPORTS GAMBLING on: March 27, 2020, 03:27:20 PM
Even with all sports betting cancelled people can go on to online casinos to bet on slot machines, card games and other games. I hope people do not start placing excessive amounts of bets just to start passing the time because there is a real risk of addiction during the periods people are spending more time at home as a result of the coronavirus.
What exactly do you want people do in this stay at home policy by the world government, this trying time will make many gambling addict's. This has be my worries during the banned movement in our country. Few days ago, I got into gambling which caught me unaware with my stakes. A whooping sum of #30,000 (NGN) was lost in the process, this fund wasn't meant for that purpose (gambling) but for the family upkeep. Sincerely speaking, this was my very first time to experience partial addiction ( if there is anything like that) and I regretted my actions after the ugly incident happened.
Bet you that; the numbers of addiction in gambling will definitely increase beyond our imagination after this pandemic come to an end. My fears still remain that, I be able to cope with this policy of stay at home and not be an addict at the end.
956  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: COVID-19 and its effect in Gambling World on: March 27, 2020, 10:22:49 AM
The effects of covid-19 will actually have positive impact on the gambling platforms and will eventually increase her revenue generation this trying times on covid-19.
This needs to be confirm, I haven't read an article yet stating the same thing.
That was my personal opinion as a financialist and not any form of speculatives from any source. Come to reason This: they have placed ban of sports and many have been postponed to April 30th which means that, only the online casinos platforms will be  lively at the moment for gambler's across the globe. What it means is: the system will get more players onto their respective platforms and revenue will increase eventually.
Quote
What we are doing now is just speculating that since physical casinos are close, they are now shifting to online casinos, but what about their source of income, if its affected then eventually they have will not gamble as there is a shortage of income or funds.
This isn't speculation of any type because the facts are very clear. Many other gamblers will join the online casinos. Just a reminder: many of these online casinos now accepts fiats for deposit and also for withdrawal, so, they are free to deposit their fiats and gamble on the platform. A true spirited gambler will not lack funds if he or she gamble responsively.
957  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: CORONAVIRUS IMPACT ON SPORTS GAMBLING on: March 27, 2020, 09:59:43 AM
Stay at home due to the pandemic has kept us away from many things and that includes gambling. Online casinos are the best option for players while normality is recovering. Keep safe!
Basically the impact of coronavirus will be heavily felt and many will be positive while some will be negative. But base on the thread; the impact of coronavirus will be positive to the gambling industry as the cure of coronavirus is be search for. Online casinos will be heavily impact positively than the traditional gambling platforms because the government have ban the movement of citizens to avoid the spreading of the covid-19. In my resident country, almost all the gambling centres have been shutdown and only the online casinos are been use through the internet for those who still intend to gamble, this is the only means to gamble now till the revoke of government orders.
958  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: COVID-19 and its effect in Gambling World on: March 27, 2020, 09:23:35 AM
Yeah pretty sure crypto gambling will see and increasing popularity due to the virus.
Agree with you on this opinion, the increase in this industry will be as a result of traditional gambler's who haven't gotten the Zeal's to join the world of online casinos. As a gambler, I have meet some good traditional co-gamblers who are now interested in getting involve in the online casinos platforms, this will increase the industry because of the covid-19.
The effects of covid-19 will actually have positive impact on the gambling platforms and will eventually increase her revenue generation this trying times on covid-19.
959  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Did gambling cause you to have difficulty in sleeping as a gambler? on: March 27, 2020, 09:05:38 AM
Luckily I have never lost sleep over gambling. I've always gambled within my means and kept my bets semi-low. If you're having trouble with gambling and losing sleep over your losses it's time to take a step back and re-evaluate your addiction. Please, if you're spending money you can't afford to lose, get some help or counseling for your gambling.
Lucky for you mate. Frankly speaking, this was my very first time to engaged in such act of self inflected gambling addition. I have seen many addict's and their end results; this has been my fears of not getting addicted while I gamble but was caught unaware in the act of gambling that caused me #30,000. As you have rightly said, I need to checkmate myself in order to avoid future occurrence.
960  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: COVID-19 and its effect in Gambling World on: March 27, 2020, 08:52:47 AM
The effect of the wide spreads of covid-19 on gambling platforms will be more on the traditional gambling platforms than the online casinos across the world. We have seen government of various countries implementing their bans on citizens while.some countries have embarked on total lockdown of their various states.
The social distance rule was introduced to curb the spread of this pandemic and with this happening, the gambling platforms are going to be more hit than the online casinos. Currently, my own country has stop all the traditional gambling platforms and have also embarked on lockdown of the state.
