941  Economy / Gambling / Re: Would you support a collective boycott of all Russian gambling platforms? on: May 21, 2022, 05:25:18 PM

just like on what most people been saying where they would really be looking bad same goes on what their leader had done.Sanctions cant be stopped and anything that would really
connects out in terms of finances and revenues will surely be that ending up with that kind of decision since it will really be also contributing in terms of finances
or funding the war.
The topic of discussion goes far beyond the boycott. Now there are many things which are coming up after boycott and sanctions.
Time to see what the sanctions and boycott would bring to the world. The trade in the world is going to change - i feel that.
942  Economy / Economics / Re: Share your Money management strategy on: May 19, 2022, 05:17:42 PM
The most important thing in Money Management is a commitment not to be tempted by anything, the first thing we do is write all income and expenses, if there is an opportunity for deficit then we must be able to stop spending that is not important, and the best thing is to increase income by finding a job Freelance and the internet provide the best opportunities.
I like the first statement you mentioned. Not to be tempted by anything and controlling  your finances is very important.
But sometime its hard. I have learnt it hard way and starting saving up a bit late in life.
943  Economy / Economics / Re: Who will Replace Russian Gas Supplies to Europe? on: May 19, 2022, 05:15:23 PM

And so - I'm waiting for links to information about long-term contracts Russia-China, Russia-India for gas supplies. Any source except Russian, of course Smiley

UPD Yes, and of course the contracts signed after the start of a new phase of the terrorist war in Ukraine, after which there were problems with the sale of gas to the EU. That is, there is no need to issue any old contracts, for contracts under which gas supplies to China and India began last month

At first place it is silly thought that someone else will fulfill supply of gas and oil. There is no alternative and world has to rethink on getting good terms with Russia.
Every country tried to put sanction on Russia. What if Russia halt the oil and gas supply to the world? Every nation has their agenda. I am not sure if this silly decision of cutting the terms with Russia would work.
944  Economy / Economics / Re: Money and wealth as the major religions in world. on: May 19, 2022, 05:09:50 PM
Religion and money or wealth are two different things. Religion is something that relates to the mind based on the beliefs inherent in the heart. While money or wealth is one aspect of life that might make us happy. And in my belief religion is an important factor that cannot be separated from life.
Money and wealth off course is very dear to people. I don't like greedy people who are always looking after an opportunities to get money out people pockets.
On the other hand I like contented people who are happy in little money and maintaining standards. I wish to be always surrounded by good people.
945  Economy / Economics / Re: Standard of living on: May 19, 2022, 04:57:22 PM
It's been almost 4 years since I moved to the city because of work, in the city of course the cost of living is very high, now I'm having financial difficulties because the business I created was affected by the pandemic and made me have to be active to look for alternative income, currently I rent out several houses on a daily basis to years and make me able to be helped.
Standard of live everyone has increased or decreased tremendously. Due to COVID life all over the world has changed  so much.
But I belive all we need is simplicity and clean and green place to enjoy life. People have moved towards minimalist approach to have less and enjoy more.
946  Economy / Economics / Re: Standard of living on: May 16, 2022, 02:54:58 PM

This is really the scariest thing. This will lead to the country's bankruptcy. The people of that country really struggle, and the price of food, etc., is really high. I am hoping that this will not lead to your country. In our country, the election just finished on the 9th of May, and I am hoping that the newly elected president will manage the country well the same as the current president, but I am confident he will. Corrupt police and leaders are really the problem within the country. I am hoping that this will be solved sooner rather than later, but I don't know how.
I always admire the developed countries and how they have maintained their standard of living.
I wish my country comes up to the same level where food, shelter and basic necessity are given free of cost. Hopefully one day!
947  Economy / Economics / Re: Ukraine Crisis Reveals the Folly of Organic Farming on: May 16, 2022, 02:49:49 PM
I do not agree with your arguments. Organic farming is also called natural farming. It mainly uses organic matter as fertilizers, that is, overripe crop residues, weeds, all greens and dried plant residues, which, when used correctly, turn into biohumus. I don't see any problem here. Chemical fertilizers are worse for the assimilation of plants, non-compliance with the norms can harm human health. With organic, natural farming, there are no such problems. In addition, green manure crops are used in organic farming, that is, before sowing the main crops, after them, or even together with them, other crops are sown that saturate the soil with the necessary elements and fight pests. Organic farming definitely needs to be applied on small farms. I don’t know why you think that the harvest is much worse than fertilizer with different chemicals. In my opinion, just the opposite.

You are seriously mistaken if you think that organic farming or natural farming or something Old style farming is somehow equal to modern farming.

BEST effort from the BEST organic farmers on the planet the Amish.   Their yield compared to modern farming is aprox only 1/4 to 1/3 a standard modern farm and it requires 10 to 20x the manpower.

I KNOW that the organic farming is the media darling tread ATM that somehow its "better" or "equal"  from modern farming but its not.   Not even close.

I DEARLY want people to stop listening to the media for their opinions.  talk to some actual modern farmers Most of the decent ones tend to have a science degree due to the requirements of modern farms.
We cannot predict or blame anything for a trouble.
Who would have known that war is coming for Ukraine is coming days- And how would have Russia thought that so many sanctions are coming for Russia. Ukraine was a progressive country before war. And blaming for anything is not a good gensture.
948  Economy / Economics / Re: Money and wealth as the major religions in world. on: May 16, 2022, 02:45:24 PM

In fact, things like this come back to perspective and to the person himself because of the fact that there are not a few people who are indeed full of wealth but are not greedy in any way.
one of the figures who inspired me in this regard is probably Sam Bankman-Fried. a fairly simple figure for a founder of a fairly large exchange today, namely FTX but I still feel that he is quite humble.

from this, we may see that there are still people who are quite rich and capable but they are not too greedy and prioritize money and power.
even though mem
That is another point. May be they are blessed one to have been blessed with money all the time.
I am not lucky and I have to work extra hard to make my living. So times people do good research and work very well on it. They are those who have good brains. Mine fairly works very less.
949  Economy / Economics / Re: Who will Replace Russian Gas Supplies to Europe? on: May 15, 2022, 07:22:08 AM
Renewable energy should just be a better alternative other than stretching the African nations that don't have enough for their own sustainability. So far in terms of oil production, availability and supplies Russians cannot be replaced the only way to avoid direct deals with Russian oil is to source for alternative sources like Renewable energy or energy from waste products since electricity will be too expensive
but finding alternative energy to replace energy such as oil or natural gas is not easy, there must be further research and of course it takes a long time and is expensive. Moreover the latest energy which will be an alternative does not necessarily have the same level of efficiency as the energy that exists today.
World cannot shut doors to Russia - No other country can full fill the supply of oil. It is one of the largest oil producing country.
And America has done a great role to pull all the strings to weaken Russia. US has done so much damage to the world than Russia. I support peace - and Russia should stop all the brutality to the Ukraine.
950  Economy / Economics / Re: Share your Money management strategy on: May 15, 2022, 07:18:13 AM
A person's standard of living changes according to their income and occupation
the higher the income the higher the lifestyle, the bigger the job the bigger the capital needed this is a natural thing, we just need to manage everything so that it is simple and sufficient if our business work needs to borrow then we know our ability to repay
I am very bad in money management. I am an extremist, when I have money I spend like crazy and when I dont have I become miser.
I dont like this habit of mine and I am trying to live within my means - I hope I will learn in few months. May be a hard way though - haha
951  Economy / Economics / Re: Money and wealth as the major religions in world. on: May 15, 2022, 07:16:01 AM
Money has gained big importance, because of lifestyle changes. With lifestyle change there is need of money to get adopted to it. People are living for the society and very few live for themselves, which is the major reason why majority run on making money than humanity. Another reason parents want their children enjoy what they weren't able to make. This wants them to earn more and that's also a reason for more money accumulation.
If we all live with this mindset will the world ever get better than what it is today? The fact everyone is doing a particular thing in the same manner doesn't still make it right. It's time the world return to societal interest and not the regular selfish and self centered ambition. If the leaders of old has the mentality of selfish service will we get to where we are today? Money is not the ultimate it is just a reward and not the goal make an impact and let the money do the chasing
And greed for both money and wealth leads to distraction.
When the greed becomes lust, man loses their emotional control - and this results in trouble. The world would be a better place if we try to live in our limits. Because at the end we all will die.
952  Economy / Economics / Re: What skills should I learn to get freelance work ..?? on: May 15, 2022, 07:12:55 AM

Not at all mate because there are work related thing here in cryptospace that will pay you with bitcoin meaning it is not all about capital instead there are skills or knowledge that can be converted into bitcoin for your investments.
Like my Brother as he is an editor and he has clients around the globe that pays him bitcoin with His work time and skills.
but it is best if you also have capital because sometimes Bitcoin price drops so low so we can purchase and keep holding for several months or year to increase the value.
I like the thread. Since I am a freelance seller and buyer.  I have seen many people too greedy for money and in this greed they loose the client and the money both. The best skill one should have is a negotiation skill. The clients are the  hen which lays golden egg - you can kill the hen and have the feast or you can keep the hen and have a golden egg everyday - for this you have to give an extra care to the hen. Choice is yours!
953  Economy / Economics / Re: Solution to unemployment: creating new jobs or early retirement on: May 15, 2022, 07:09:20 AM
Early retirement will not the best solution since imagine how big the numbers of employment happen if those oldies will force to resign. Maybe the one needed by government is to creaye strategic plan where they can make this  country appealing and highlight those good changes happening in the market. Government should look up and choose the issues what they can apply it to us. Also he needs to boost up the economy.
I think people should find ways to keep themselves busy. But there is one plan which man makes and there is another plan which God makes.
Sometimes make very good plans but those are not the plans of God. So we should do our best and seek guidance from the God and keep short term plans always a priority.
954  Economy / Economics / Re: Is there a place in the world you could live like a king via sig campaigns? on: May 15, 2022, 07:06:31 AM

Team work will make the dream work as well also bring in more energy, ideas and help reach the goals faster!
Wow, I haven't heard that saying written or uttered in at least 5-7 years.  And you're right about Africa probably not being ideal, though I'd hate to rule out the whole continent.  As I said, places like Zimbabwe and a few other countries do hold some appeal for me.

This we do daily, while having soccer drills, you watch my back and I do same for you likewise, hehehe.
And you wouldn't want to miss out on Zimbabwe, I did go back to dig down, guess what ?
They're currently the only African country that normalized the utilization of BTC in them day to day activities. As it's highly valued down that ends they started the usage ever since they had financial crises. Most talks you see bout BTCin Africa are rare ( as they're always done behind bars to avoid them pigs)  Grin

In Pakistan the cost of living is very low. If you have some good money like for say - $1500 than yes - if you do your homework you might find some good place to live, I would prefer my own clean beddings because I can not sleep on dirty beds. Rest since I am a cleanliness freak - so I would prefer cleanliness and comfort.
955  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Why Russia isn't using it's full force in Ukraine ? tactically .. on: May 15, 2022, 07:02:57 AM
its no longer 1940s when blitzkrieg  worked for germany, Nor is ukraine a weak nation. These days even small man portable weapons can significantly damage bigger military formations, Drones can bring down misslile systems and missiles can sink ships.
The war these days is a  protracted affair of attrition and Russian generals knew this, so they moved in slowly and cautiously
Not quite right. The Kremlin made a delivery to Ukraine on February 24 precisely on a mass offensive in order to shock the APU of the fast army and equipment. The calculation was also on lightning speed. Putin calculated the acquisition in a few days. Therefore, the invaders demanded dry rations for only three days, and there was practically no rear escort. Already when the Russian army was bogged down in the war in Ukraine and there was a problem with food, the Kremlin ordered to switch to self-sufficiency, that is, the troops were allowed to rob shops and the civilian population, which they took.
Almost the entire Russian army is now fighting on the territory of Ukraine. They have already gathered almost all the troops of Russia, including the Far East, and at present they are even withdrawing their troops from illnesses, as well as sending sailors from the Northern Fleet. Everything that is possible is already being raked out, because almost half of the Russian army has already been killed or wounded. In terms of the number of common military equipment, here the turnover is even worse. Russia is already equipping new recruits with the 1891 Mosin rifles that were used in World War I a century ago.
Therefore, I do not think that Russia is at war with Ukraine not in full force. It's just that the discussion and spirit of the Russian army is much lower than that of the Ukrainian one. This explains the military defeat of Russia in Ukraine.
Russia has done so much damage to Ukraine already. They have taken away the leftover food and utensils of people of Ukraine.
That is so sad and that is so disturbing. I think Russia should stop now and they should focus of rebuilding themselves and new drama of rehabilitation will start. OH I am so tired of these superpower dule faces.
956  Economy / Economics / Re: Standard of living on: May 15, 2022, 06:59:32 AM
many countries are facing hardship in their various countries because of what covid-19 virus has caused in the world economy years ago. Some government are trying their possible best to demand for more money to end the suffering and to improve the economy that was collapsed during the pandemic. There was a decreased in crypto market price that is making people to panic because of the low price of bitcoin and altcoins that is not helping people to make a good profit in the market. I think, many people will use this opportunity to hold their coins and prepare well for the price to increase higher before they can sell to make a suitable profit.
This should have been where IMF shines and they failed as well. It caused so much debt and trouble for nations that even getting money from IMF meant that you need to be a nation that would be known to pay it back, plus if you gave it to just one place then everyone else wanted it. Not that they didn't give anyone anything, but it did take a while and that is the problem, it wasn't enough and they should have done more, with all the money they have.

I do not see a recovery from it, we are just going to get used to the new prices, as long as it doesn't get followed by bigger and bigger inflation, then it should be fine. We have increased prices, and we are just going to end up with what we have for now and hope it stays the same.
In our country - we have very strange politicians above us. They hardly care for the country and they are mostly on foreign tours on the taxes money.
We are still struggling for basic needs like electricity, clean water and transportation. I am not sure if my country will be a progressing country in coming years.
957  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: A time people have been waiting for bitcoin to drop on: May 15, 2022, 06:55:01 AM
Hello 👋
Okay, presently I want to ask why the sudden panicking around the media and forum here.
I could ones remembered when bitcoin was +$69k and everyone seems to be panicking for the price to get 32k or below. Today we have another chance to buy very low yet people still waiting for the price to drop even more lower.
I want to know when is the best time to buy or waiting more dip to buy and what if the price turns back to bull?
What do we do?

I personally advocate that the best time to invest into BTC is the time that you found out/discover about its existence, and this applies exclusively for beginners.

The beauty about investing into BTC is its volatility- it is somehow a double-edged sword that the outcome may either make or break your capital in the next following days/weeks/months. Given that the prices of BTC had been crashing (with its worst price since 2016), people are taking advantage of this opportunity to invest and HODL for long-term.
Can anyone advice - I am new to cryptocurrency, is it the right time to buy Dogecoin?
The coin price is increasing and there is a chance that it will rise more because of Musk, after he has purchased twitter. Please excuse if my question looks silly to expert members.
958  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ODI cricket and general cricketing discussion [self - mod] on: May 12, 2022, 09:49:09 AM
ICC has taken back test status from Zimbabwe because of political reasons but haven't done that with Bangladesh despite there poor test performance for years. But in this series Bangladesh has chance not because Bangladesh test performance has enhanced but due to fact that Srilanka performance has dropped so low.

Zimbabwe is having the test status right now, but they are relegated to the second division along with Ireland and Afghanistan. It is a very meaningless division, as these teams almost never play any test matches. Do you guys remember the last time when Ireland and Afghanistan played test format? What is the point in giving these countries test status, if the other full members refuse to play against them? Not that I am a big fan of test cricket, but these teams deserve at least 2-3 matches per year against teams such as India and Australia.
We would look fwd to some good ODI's.
Nothing good in cricket these days to discuss. When are some good matches coming up next? Any idea?
959  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: A time people have been waiting for bitcoin to drop on: May 12, 2022, 09:46:48 AM
I don't think more investors will buy at this point most retail buyers are in panic mode right now look at the fear and greed index yesterday recorded an extreme fear. We still don't know when this crash will stop and the right time to buy, for now must better to observe the market.

That's the irony of it, when btc price is up investors will be looking for correction to get in, but as soon as the opportunity present itself, fear will stop many investors from buying btc at a discount. Right now is the time to apply the popular saying "be fearful when others are daring and be daring when others are fearful". Some people are profiting from this current market state, it is all about being bold and putting in what you can afford.
This is a very unpredictable market. 2 weeks ago Elon Musk purchased the Twitter, it resulted the rise of Dogecoin.
SO people who those DogeCoin is not worth purchasing are not happy. There is nothing one can do about rise and fall. Only luck matters.
960  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Horse Racing and Gambling on it should be banned on: May 12, 2022, 09:43:19 AM
Oh God - 3 deaths in the a day and such a big amount of pain killers.
The world needs to wake up and stop animal cruelty. May to world realize that this is brutal and it need to be stoped right away.
That's what happens to horse racing betting and we don't know what happens to bet using other animals. I don't think the result will be far from betting on horse racing because every animal used for betting will definitely be given training or take drugs to increase stamina.

That's why bets using animals are slowly being reduced and will eventually be eliminated because it's no longer appropriate in this day and age. There are many other things that can be used as a bet and humans can certainly find something different to bet on.
I think those who depend on horse race have given the best to the horse. For them the horses are their life lives.
They would not afford to lose their horse. But then again natural situation are not in anyone's control. Only the fittest survive be it man or animal.
