941  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How does a whale sell its huge amount of bitcoins and change them into fiats? on: June 29, 2023, 12:09:27 PM
Currently, various popular exchanges have introduced P2P system in their exchanges to make things easier for investors, through which you can easily exchange your currency to the local currency of your country. This system is very useful for a trader. Because since the introduction of this system, traders do not have to face any problem in converting Bitcoin to fiat. Exchanges have introduced p2p system in such a way that you can use any transaction service very easily. If you are trading in small scale then you should not have any problem in trading. Traders usually use this method. That means converting BTC to fiat is currently a very easy task.

But OP is asking how a whale can convert millions of dollars of bitcoin into fiat. While we always criticize centralized exchanges, there is no denying that they are the most liquid in the market. So not only retail investors but even whales will use them if they want to convert crypto assets into fiat. Using CEX's P2P to convert to fiat is fairly straightforward for small amounts, but large amounts can be a big deal. You won't get in trouble with exchanges, but you will get in trouble with your local bank if your account suddenly has large transactions.
942  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoins and it's potential on: June 29, 2023, 11:52:27 AM
Probably that would be the case in the future, just like the US dollar and some other popular currencies we have today. One day, bitcoins will be used for buying things or services without worrying about converting them first before we can use them, and we are clearly heading that way once they improve the transactions and the security of owning them. Maybe if only we didn't have these negative hostile people that continue making false narratives about bitcoins, we already using it all over the world as an accepted currency, but now, since we have these people and countries that are still hostile, we are far from it today.

I really doubt it, I'm not pessimistic, but I never thought that bitcoin would be able to become the currency of the world. Although Satoshi's purpose in creating bitcoin was to be a decentralized currency, since the day it was used, people have treated it as an asset for speculation rather than using it as money. Even if bitcoin doesn't volatility and becomes stable, I don't believe governments will accept it as a currency because bitcoin is decentralized. If they accept bitcoin, the government will lose control over its people. Do you think they will let that happen?
943  Economy / Speculation / Re: How much ,as you think ,is 1 bitcoin in 2025? on: June 28, 2023, 05:11:00 PM

The OP would be surprised by how Bitcoin has risen since when he created this topic. I looked at the first reply and saw how people didn't believe in Bitcoin back in 2013 and they had their reason because not many believe Bitcoin has the potential to rise as it has done.

Not only is the OP surprised if he is still tracking bitcoin's movement, but bitcoin has surprised the world, and even Satoshi would be surprised at what bitcoin is achieving. I bet you if we were at that point, we wouldn't have enough faith in bitcoin.

At the moment if this question is asked again, the least suggested price will be around $100,000 because now many people believe there's no limit to how high Bitcoin can rise. After halving many people will begin to fomo into the market and this will raise the price of Bitcoin.

If everything was to go smoothly, $100,000 should be the least price that Bitcoin should trade at by 2025 but we shouldn't be carried away as a bear market will likely follow as that's how the market has always moved. After it reached a new ATH the market always correct.
Right now, things have changed a lot, and I also believe that $100k will be the lowest we can get in the next bull season. But saying the value of bitcoin will increase without limit is an exaggeration because everything has its limit. If we pay attention, we can easily see that the volatility of bitcoin is getting smaller and smaller, and bitcoin is getting less and less profitable than in previous years. We no longer see x100, x10 profits but instead x5, x3 from bitcoin.
944  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: June 28, 2023, 05:08:07 PM

Yannick Hanfmann seems to be having one of those particularly good days today. Tsitsipas has not yet found his way into the match. If the two continue to play like this, Tsitsipas will lose this match and Hanfmann will reach the next round. The first break goes to Hanfmann.

By the way: Hanf is hemp in English and mann is man. Hempman or Cannabisman  Cheesy

The match is over, and to my surprise, the match was lost by Stefanos Tsitsipas. It was a three-set match and honestly, I have to say the match was dominated by Hanfmann when we look at the first and the third set. Stefanos Tsitsipas played well in the second set. I thought in the third set it was going to be competitive. But Hanfmann took the win quite easily in the end. It was actually a little surprising result for me.
945  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: June 28, 2023, 02:34:33 PM
Now Manchester City have pulled out of Declan Rice deal. I think though Manchester City might not have prioritize Rice but they would have taken him in if he had chosen them... So, the OPTICS now is that, for once Arsenal beat a top team to the signing of a "top player" ! And also they were negotiating a deal with the Leipzig defender Gvardiol, so I felt like they can’t pay more than what Arsenal offered, if they do it they are fucked because Leipzig will ask for more money which will put Manchester City in a tight spot.
So they had a very tough decision to make Rice or The Croatian defender. Now they might go all in for Gvardiol.

Manchester City is not going after Declan Rice anymore. So of course it is Arsenal. As we can see from the tweet of Fabrizio Romano, Arsenal is expected to get him very quickly. And honestly don’t think any other club is going to offer more than what Arsenal is offering right now.
With Declan Rice out of the way, Manchester City can now concentrate on getting other players.

Honestly, I think being more than what Arsenal is offering for Declan Rice right now is not a value for money in the end. So Manchester City made the right decision in my opinion.

946  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: June 28, 2023, 02:07:26 PM
Stefanos Tsitsipas, who currently occupies position number 5 in the ATP ranking, but 2 years ago managed to reach position number 3, this season he still has not managed to win any title this season, on the other side we have Yannick Hanfmann who currently occupies position number 48 of the ATP ranking, he beat Pedro Cachin very easily and I predict that Yannick Hanfmann will be a very strong opponent. Stefanos Tsitsipas, although I will also bet on Stefanos Tsitsipas I still see this odd being very low considering that Yannick Hanfmann is not a weak opponent
The performance from Tsitsipas on grass has been rather mixed so far. He has not won a tournament for more than half a year, although he is ranked place 5 in the ATP.
The performance from Hanfmann on grass has not been good so far. He has not made it further than round 2. But this year he is playing very well in general and on a good day he could be a strong opponent for Tsitsipas.

I agree with @ bct_ail that on a good day, Hanfmann can be a good strong opponent for Stefanos Tsitsipas. But there is a bigger chance for Stefanos Tsitsipas to win this match against Hanfmann. And I know that Stefanos Tsitsipas has not been great on grass. But I believe he will be good enough to beat Hanfmann.

It will actually be a little surprising for me if Tsitsipas loses this match. Even though both of them are not very good on grass, I think Stefanos Tsitsipas is a little less worse when compared to Hanfmann.
947  Economy / Economics / Re: How can we end the *VOLATILITY OF BITCOIN* on: June 27, 2023, 11:43:51 AM
When bitcoin stops being volatile, it will practically turn into stabelcoin. but then there will be a question of whether people will stay interested in it. After all, volatility allows you to earn, volatility attracts attention. So the lack of volatility is bad for bitcoin, but probably good for altcoins.
The high price volatility of bitcoin and other decentralized cryptocurrencies is inherent in the very nature of cryptocurrencies and cannot be changed by anyone. In addition, most participants in this market do not want such a change themselves, since high volatility provides an opportunity to earn on this. Therefore, even if such an opportunity appears, many will be against its implementation.

For those who see bitcoin as a currency, bitcoin's erratic volatility is a real annoyance and a major barrier to bitcoin becoming a currency. But for speculators, volatility is a very useful thing, the more volatile bitcoin, the more excited they become.

As far as I can see, up to 99% of people in the market are investors, there won't be too many bitcoin supporters to become stable. And I also really doubt, will many people continue to stay with bitcoin if it becomes stable? People come to bitcoin for money rather than to support a new technology or seek privacy...profit is always their primary concern. So I highly doubt when bitcoin become stable.
948  Economy / Economics / Re: Should I Use Emergency funds or Sell my Assets ? on: June 27, 2023, 11:32:31 AM
What do you suggest I do?

What is your purpose in creating an emergency fund, and why would you hesitate to use your emergency fund when you need it? I guess you're worried about what will happen if it's used up, right? That is very easy to solve, you should use it to solve immediate problems and then quickly find other sources of income to rebuild a new emergency fund. Remember that they are made for emergency use and that their use is entirely justified. Property should not be sold during this time because everything is seriously depreciating due to inflation, and should only be sold when we have no other solution.
949  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: June 26, 2023, 08:51:21 PM
I am pretty sure that Lukaku is going to end up playing for Inter permanently. And I actually also think that he is going to perform well for inter. That is going to increase the power of Inter which is eventually going to hurt Milan.
Milan should realise that the performance that they put on in the last season was mid. So they will have to improve their performance very quickly. And they will also have to improve the squad. All the other top teams are actually improving the squad most of the transfer market and here we have Milan, who does not have that strong of a squad, and still are not making important changes that they should.
Some time ago there were reports that they tried to borrow Lukaku back from Chelsea but this was rejected outright because Chelsea wanted to sell Lukaku permanently for 34-40 million according to some reports today.
Lukaku's value has been pushed hard now and if Inter really want him back to play for Inter then I think this price can be easily agreed by Chelsea because they don't need Lukaku anymore at the moment.
On the other hand, the current price means that Chelsea once again have to swallow the disappointment of a failed transfer because Lukaku can be said to be a failed transfer even for the second time for Chelsea.

I think the price can actually go down a little more considering the fact that Lukaku has not been performing at all for Chelsea. There is a reason why Chelsea does not want him at all. 40 million is a little more than what they should pay for Lukaku. I think 35 million is the right amount. Chelsea cannot do anything in this situation except for being disappointed and just take the money which they are offering for him and shut up. Chelsea also knows very well that if they keep him they are just going to give him a salary for nothing. Of course, they do not want that to happen. But I will say that it was the right decision by Chelsea to sell him instead of sending him on loan because at least if they sell him they will probably get one-third of the money that they spent.

If Lukaku can continue with his performance then he is an important player as he had 16 scorer points in total in roughly 20 games I think. That is remarkable considering that he came from Chelsea and had lost all his confidence. He should not start any new experiments in his career and either stay with Inter Milan now and try to negotiate a contract that lasts for a few years or he should do something completely different, but not go to a club in Eruope like he tried with Chelsea. At his age it could mean a bad ending for him if he can't continue with his performance and ends up on the bench again.

Lukaku will have to change his team permanently. He should also join Inter instead of going to some Saudi club. I heard that he does not like the money that the Saudi club is offering anyway. And I also agree that he should not experiment anymore and just go to Inter Milan. He will probably have a better career there. At least compared to what he did in Chelsea.
950  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2023/24 on: June 26, 2023, 08:20:38 PM
It doesn't seem like we will see a big transfer move by Barcelona this summer. Because La Liga FFP rules wouldn't let them do it that easy. Otherwise we would have already seen Messi back in Barcelona. They even speculated Neymar to sign for them but this doesn't also make sense in this situation. Neymar's demands would be as big as Messi's at least.

Do Barcelona need such a big move for consistency in the La Liga? I'm not sure. It feels like they can surely maintain their consistence about being competitive for the league title now. It is all about saving the same mental for next season also. But when it comes to the Champions League I can't fully trust them about doing better than reaching the group stage for now. They will need to earn people's trust by solid improvements.

I think Barcelona is not going to make any big changes to the squad. Also, I believe that the speculations that they were looking into acquiring Neymar after they failed to obtain Lionel Messi are just rumors at the moment. Barcelona is actually going to be very happy if they are able to get a few free players on the team.

They should keep in mind about the salaries of the players and their financial situation. They cannot afford to bring in players who are going to take high salaries. I genuinely believe that Barcelona is not going to make any huge transfers this season because they simply cannot afford to do it.

951  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: June 26, 2023, 07:49:10 PM
As Dzeko is about to join Fenerbahçe and Lukaku is also about to leave the team I wonder what Inter are planning to do. Because they will need to bring at least one centre-forward to the team in this case. Even one might not be enough in the long run thinking of injury or suspension cases as well. One of these strikers should be a reliable one who can make a good duo with Martinez and the other one can be just a good substitute player who can do well when there is a need for him.
It looks like Marcus Thuram deal is about to become official for Inter already. He is a decent scorer but his being versatile is also an advantage for Inter. Because he can even play as a left winger and his stats there so far have been really nice too.
2 players who have been part of their squad up front this season will leave the team and that will leave a void in that position. I'm sure Inter Milan probably already know what they will do with the departure of their 2 players, and indeed they have to find a replacement to fill the void, unless they will entrust the players they have now, or they are playing not like last season and just put Martinez in that position.
The transfer market is still quite long and they still have time to bring in the players they want, including the signing of Thuram who is rumored to be joining Inter Milan soon.

952  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ODI cricket and general cricketing discussion [self - mod] on: June 26, 2023, 07:14:45 PM
You seem to notice that the match is already over and United States have lost all wickets by just 104 runs and Zimbabwe have won the match by 304 runs. Zimbabwe player Joylord Gumbie performed very well and took 3 wickets alone. the players of Zimbabwe are very good and besides playing against the weak players of United State they had very high runs which is why they won the match by such a high margin of runs. this match was very easy for Zimbabwe. and it was easy to predict that Zimbabwe would win here easily
ops sorry i accidentally said wrong. Zimbabwean player S. Williams scored 174 runs alone which United State's 11 players couldn't do it was really ridiculous. And that's why United State lost by such a huge margin. If the United States had batted first, Zimbabwe would not have had to play for such a long time. The game could have ended in just 10-15 overs. Such a match is very boring to watch because there is no excitement in the game without a hard fight
Zimbabwe is in very good form. And after defeating West Indies, Zimbabwe's players have become more confident. I was sure Zimbabwe would win against the USA. But it was beyond my expectation that the Zimbabwean players would perform so well. They played great. It was a memorable match in Zimbabwean cricket history. They won by 304 runs. Zimbabwean players have been consistently performing well. It seems that this team wants to play in the next World Cup by any means.

Well, the good thing is Zimbabwe had given 15 runs extra otherwise the USA team wouldn’t have been able to reach hundred. Another sad thing is that the USA team is mostly made out of foreign players. But still, they are not being able to do well against a team like Zimbabwe who are not the most dominant even in this qualifying tournament.

Scoring 408 is absolutely a big achievement for Zimbabwe. And also, of course, winning by such a big margin is another achievement. I never really thought that the USA team would be able to reach the target. But I thought maybe they will be able to play the whole 50 overs or reach at least 200. And to my surprise, the two top scorers of the USA team are actually from the USA.
953  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: June 25, 2023, 05:59:35 PM
From my little knowledge, Minal should have extended Edin Dzeko's contract. Edin Dzeko is not a young player but he is an experienced complete player. Edin Dzeko has a lot of reputation as a professional player. Edin Dzeko was a good Inter Milan striker from what I saw. I think Minal's compromise with Edin Dzeko was probably the right thing to do. Dzeko wants to make a tough history in football in the end
I think they wanted to just rebuild, because getting the same old players to give them some talent could be good but it is not sustainable. If you buy a player that is 23-25 years old, you can do it for maybe 10 years, but at 37 years old Dzeko could be good for another season maybe, but it is not sustainable, you need to start thinking about the future as well. This is why I understand them not getting him back.

Plus, Inter, Milan, Juventus, Napol, and even Roma will have a chance to fight for the top spot next season. Probably not Roma, but all the others needs to build a team that could rival everyone and without that I do not think that it would be a smart decision, it would be much smarter to keep getting better results with younger players so you can have a better future in the league.

I believe Milan did the right thing. They should definitely get younger players on the team. I don’t think they should get rid of all the old players. Experience is also needed. But they definitely need young players to boost their performance for sure. The older generation is going to have a tough time keeping up against the young and fast players. If they can manage a good balance between the young and experienced generation, they will actually be able to do very well. I think this was the right decision taken by them about Eden Dzeko.
954  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you think it's still wrong selling properties for Bitcoin? on: June 24, 2023, 07:41:42 AM
It seems to me that you are acting very brave by selling valuable property to be able to buy Bitcoins. Indeed, your goal is to get a profit with a much greater multiplication, but it is too risky that many people might not do what you did to be able to invest in Bitcoin.
I understand that each of us has a different way of thinking in seeing something in order to be able to benefit from investing.
That's why I won't say your actions are wrong.

2024 is the year most expected to see shocks to the Bitcoin price.

There is already a lot of positive in the crypto market right now, and bitcoin is reacting with growth, so it cannot be ruled out that the bull market could start much earlier, or has already begun.
But something tells me that there must be a significant correction before the start of real growth. That is, over the course of several years, we can still expect a very good growth of bitcoin, but I probably would not dare to sell gold or real estate for the sake of investing in bitcoin.

Anything can happen, if we cannot be ruled out that the bull market could start much earlier, then let's not ignore what is happening maybe just a short term rally and things will correct again. I remember when bitcoin went from $17k to $30 in March of this year, many people had the same beliefs as you do now. They think the bull season will come earlier than usual, but in the end, as we have seen, we are still in a bear market.

OP's actions should not be encouraged because we are all not the same. He has a lot of properties, and selling 2 acres of farm lands won't be too big a deal for him. If someone has a lot of possessions, they can imitate him. But for those who don't have too much money, don't follow him, it's very risky.
955  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin - what are we expecting for the rest of 2023? on: June 24, 2023, 07:15:12 AM
~snip~

However, we should also consider that the best thing to do would be making sure that people are not aware of what they are investing into right now, it's hyped as hell and been rising a lot for a week now, if you get in today then you are going to get hurt, maybe it's not time to get in right now, or maybe it is but do not put all your money into bitcoin all at once, it may not do well at all.

But what if it's a long-term investment? I mean, I'm a long term investor, so buying at the current price isn't too bad if you compare it to the $69k ATH. I am aware of the recent rally, but there is no guarantee that the price will fall back or will continue to rise from here, the market is still in a bear season but still unpredictable.
In my opinion, if you are looking for a long-term investment, buying now is not too bad, but as you said, do not put all your money into bitcoin all at once, using DCA is always the most reasonable strategy in all situations.
956  Economy / Economics / Re: Landed properties is the best investment on: June 23, 2023, 03:47:01 PM
What about people who were "unlucky" enough to have parents who didn't leave land but perhaps left them a billion dollars in trust. Would those same people have to undertake the journey of success from the starting point? I don't think so.
Why do you use the term "unlucky" when their parents have financial wealth that can be passed on to their children, so it doesn't just mean land inheritance but company assets, any business and parent's work can be inherited if you have the ability to manage and have the experience to continue the work from your parents.

I don't understand why they assume that someone who inherits land or inherited property from their parents will be able to achieve success from the very beginning, in fact many of them will sell their inheritance for their living needs and even splurge on buying whatever items they want without considering anything.

Don't ever think of living just to hope for an inheritance from your parents but apply life motivation to make them happy from your achievements, you must achieve greater financial success independently rather than relying on their inheritance.

I was born into a poor family and did not inherit any inheritance, let alone inherit great value real estate. But I have never felt unlucky to have poor parents. On the contrary, I also feel that I am incompetent, useless when I cannot provide for my parents with a luxurious life because, without them, I would not be where I am today. I don't mean to offend anyone, but I do feel ashamed for those who rely on their parents' assets, and they not be able to make their own careers like our parents did.
If we always ask for and depend on the inheritance of our parents. Have we thought about what our children will ask of us later?
957  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin breaking out of 2 month downtrend on: June 23, 2023, 03:28:35 PM
I voted as maybe. It seems too early for bulls to run fast. But I can say that it is strong to break the 31 thousand dollar resistance, so I am approaching maybe. But there is a really motivating environment to protect your bitcoins right now. If it can close above 30-31K Usd in June, it will have solidified the price base and will be a strong support at these levels. I also worry about a new FUD coming out on the market at any moment, so I can't be too positive and hype.

I chose not sure, and I'm not too surprised that 60% are voting "yes", it seems like everyone is starting Fomo as the market has rallied for the past 2 days. For me, I don't believe there is any resistance as bitcoin is unpredictable, there is no guarantee when bitcoin close above $31k in June, it will continue to rise without falling. The positive and negative news in the market are very unexpected, we can't control them, so don't expect too much on the resistance level that technical analysis always shows. When investing, I just like to go against the crowd, when people are too Fomo and believe that bitcoin will continue to rise, I will be more careful.
I also chose not sure; the market is extremely unpredictable, and the SEC lawsuit was completely unexpected and caused a major market crash that also affected Bitcoin. Now that it has been resolved, even though Bitcoin wasn't that greatly affected, it's recovering. On the one hand, I want to believe that Bitcoin is capable of achieving a further recovery, but on the other hand, the environment seems pretty uncertain. We can't predict what may happen in the upcoming weeks, as news keep pouring on a daily basis. Thus, I'm quite skeptical and supposing that if matters don't take a sudden turn for the worse, recovery should be expected somewhere during late 2023.

Do you agree with me that almost all news that comes to the market is unexpected and unpredictable, not only with the SEC lawsuit against Binance but also news about ETFs, which is also very surprising for us? That's also part of the reason why I don't trust the analysis or the signals the charts show us. The market is unpredictable because of the news, because of the temporary manipulation of some whales, based on the chart really makes me suspicious.
958  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2023/24 Season on: June 22, 2023, 09:21:25 PM
Real Madrid would be the best choice for Bellingham. Madrid has an experienced squad. And this team always performs well in the Champions League. Bellingham is undoubtedly a very talented player. With an experienced squad like Madrid, he will become more experienced. We have seen the performance of Manchester City's Haaland this season. He played several times better with Manchester City than he did at Dortmund. Bellingham is expected to become a legendary player for Madrid in the future. If he works hard, I think Bellingham has the potential.
Jude Bellingham will explore more in the club after joining the winning team, and he will adapt quickly to the Real Madrid football style. I'm only waiting for him to get stronger so he can execute more extreme skills, which will boost his performance and market value. Jude will go further in football; he's a playmaker who is still young; he has a long way to go. Jude Bellingham made the right decision by moving to Real Madrid; he will become a world-class midfielder since he will most likely learn from Luka Modric, another world-class midfielder.

Real Madrid is certainly going to be the right decision. I think Real Madrid gives a player the option to be better or find another option if things are not working out. I know that recently we have seen a few failed transfers from Real Madrid. But I don’t think that it’s going to be the case with  Bellingham. And I think his play style is actually going to be very much in tune with Real Madrid. Real Madrid is in a rebuilding state. I think in this quite new squad he will have very good importance and also very good playing time.
959  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Indian Premier League #IPL on: June 22, 2023, 07:30:43 PM

Apart from the pig-4, I guess Pakistan and South Africa also have the ability to play test cricket in a competent way. But still I don't know whether they will be able to form separate squads for test format and limited overs format. Anyway, apart from these 6 teams, I don't think that any of the other nations are capable of staying competent and playing consistently in test format. And there is no point in having meaningless one-sided matches, such as Australia vs Bangladesh, or India vs Sri Lanka. These smaller countries should concentrate on limited overs cricket.

There is actually no need to keep the test format as an active format of cricket, to be honest. No one is interested in this format and the teams are also not interested in playing test cricket anymore. At the same time test cricket is not something with which cricket is going to spread throughout the world as well. So I think this cricket is just a waste of time. There is no reason for only four teams to keep playing a format of cricket that no one actually cares about anymore. I honestly don’t think that the people who actually loved test cricket truly, even they actually care about this cricket anymore.
960  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is buying BTC now, the best option ??? on: June 22, 2023, 04:10:48 AM

Buying now? If you are going for long term then it wont really be an issue but if you are making some futures trading or making out some scalping
then expect that there would be some possible rejection on 30k point if it wont be able to sustain this level but who knows right? This is where risks management or taking would kick in.

I don't trade futures, so I don't know anything about them and have no advice. But if we are long-term investors, we can buy now or wait because 2023 is not yet a real bull market. I think there will be many more corrections, and the opportunity for us to buy cheaper than current prices is still this year. But I advise people just to buy more, limit selling and wait for the price to fall back to buy because it's all guesswork, there's no guarantee the price will definitely fall again.
