941  Other / Meta / Re: TMAN'S guide to getting merit. on: March 23, 2018, 02:04:10 PM
Very nice tips and guidelines there. I just wanted to add something to that.

I think, beside well-written English, a person needn't to repeat something that has already been said in the discussion. That is one of the biggest things people (newbies, most particularly, but other members too sometimes) do which makes them look too bad IMO. A correct grammar and the fact of being on-topic are not the only things that represent a constructive post, but the post has to be unique in itself. And that is what most of the people lack while trying to post constructively.
942  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How do I change my avatar? on: March 23, 2018, 01:33:15 PM
You are still Jr member and obviously you can't wear avatar only Full member and Up can only wear the avatar. And as you see it is very hard now to rank up since there is already merits that are really hard to get even though you have a very quality post. Feel sad to those still in the beginning or the beginners.

Do you think that the post above yours said something else? Or you just need to reach your post limit threshold, for the campaign you are in, tonight and you can't reach there without repeating the things already said AKA spam?  Roll Eyes

Community managers are given the responsibility of managing those threads. They don't just engage in there to keep their threads on top, but they do their work in the thread which they are supposed to do. You can't compare these two situations at all.
Community manager have some responsibility but they are not supposed to engage in breaking rules of the forum.

How is it breaking the rules of the forum if a manager is engaging with the queries posted within the thread under his supervision? It is against the rules for others to bump the threads like how OP has been doing, but if a manager is doing his work and just because of his work (replying to questions and queries and all) the thread stays on top, I don't see that as a breakage of any rule.

Quote
They won't just let you take charge of a surgery in an ICU as that is not your work and you are not allowed to do it. Now you can't say that if the doctor can do it, why can't I?  Roll Eyes

That is a very bad comparison. People who come here to shitpost have no qualifications like "number one shitposter group" or "scumlevel shitposter group" while in a hospital work is divided among the technicians nurses and the doctors and the staff so that the is mutual harmony among everybody in their work which is a completed in a methodical manner.

I didn't say it in the way you took it. Quickseller said that there is nothing much difference in what OP has done and what Community Managers do, so I gave that example referring OP to be someone outside the staff and Community Managers to be the doctor. Now someone outside the team, doing a surgery, cannot just get in there and do the staff that a doctor is supposed to do.

Some users might think that your a sig spammer for posting topics that the previously posted here.

I'm gonna be totally honest with you. I'm thinking the same about you right now.  Roll Eyes

Everything Jet Cash has been posting has been unique, sure he is active here he has every right to be as he was royally fucked by the system, check his activity he was what 4 weeks from legendary range and therefore had to make 500 merits to rank up. Also he tries to give merit away and help newbies, its not as if he isn't trying to help people

I took his post as referring to the OP, rather than to me.

Isn't that obvious?  Huh Because I quoted OP in my post, and that makes it clear that I was referring to his post when I said that.

I'm just stating what I observe here in the forum....

See, the difference between a spammer and a simple poster is that they (spammers) state what is stated already before them, and that is what spamming is. Someone asks in the forum, "What is Bitcoin?". You see that question and you answer him saying "Bitcoin is a decentralized digital currency.". Now when I visit that thread, and I again answer the question with "It is a currency which is not controlled by any authorities.". Tell me what is the difference between these two answers? Nothing, obviously. So what I posted there is a spam because I'm posting something that has already been posted, though with different wording. Just because my grammar is correct, or I'm on topic, it doesn't make my post constructive.
What I now stated is the basic thing to follow for not being a spammer. Take it as an advice.
946  Other / Meta / Re: Theymos has been fooled! on: March 23, 2018, 12:14:28 PM
After all those Merit-related threads that we have been encountering from some time in Meta, now we will see a new trend of The Pharmacist-related threads in here (or in Reputation). The rage (or requests sometimes, as some of them think they can reverse it being polite) of users tagged by Him (The Pharmacist) will surely flood this (and Reputation) sections soon enough. In fact, it has already started.  Roll Eyes
Words like "Sir", or "Trust abuser" are going to be a very common in these sections very soon.  Grin

948  Other / Meta / Re: Newbie Problems how to eliminate? on: March 23, 2018, 11:44:26 AM
-Its limitation is, It didn't include accounts that already been created

What if the message is sent to everyone upon implementation of this feature? This way, every account created in near past, not aware about the rules and other things, will get help as well. And, we also know that there are a lot of higher ranked users who do not know all the rules until now. So sending it to all at first will help them too.
949  Economy / Reputation / Re: Its been 1 month and my negative trust is back again on: March 23, 2018, 11:16:33 AM
A few of OP's recent posts:
My favorite and long term investment coins are ethereum, bitcoin, xrp i trust this 3 coins a lot because they never fail me on dip and rising of its prices which they produce so much profit for me

Yes is getting lower and lower because of the banning in facebook, google and twitter we just have to brace ourselves for this updates and hope until there will be an new update to change the tides

Its because most of the ICO's did not reach their soft cap and hard cap with it will be the funding of the project in future activities like listings of the exchangers and many more

The spam flood that the forum is fighting against right now is really huge, and our little OP here seems to be playing a very vital role in that (not in fighting, in spamming). His/Her post history won't let you have mercy on him/her even if you want to forget about all that happened in past. There was never, and there should never be room for such spam and spammers in the forum.
950  Economy / Reputation / Re: Message to Lauda on: March 23, 2018, 10:58:41 AM
mysterious01 was offering to artificially keep ANN threads on the 1st page via fake conversations within those threads, while the OP was offering his services to make a single post (or a very small number of posts) by way of engaging in a discussion with other users. I think there is a very big difference between these two things.

What is the difference between them you think?  Huh Mysterious01 was offering the service to keep ANNs on top by regularly posting in them, and He had a list of users who would do those postings to keep bumping ANNs to get paid by Him (Mysterious01). Now OP (Text) was one of the users to do one or more than one posts in a thread by a way of engaging but with the purpose of bumping it only to complete his task and get paid for it. What is the very big difference in these two that you are talking about?

I don't think what the OP was engaging in is not all that different than what "community managers" are frequently paid to do.

Community managers are given the responsibility of managing those threads. They don't just engage in there to keep their threads on top, but they do their work in the thread which they are supposed to do. You can't compare these two situations at all.
They won't just let you take charge of a surgery in an ICU as that is not your work and you are not allowed to do it. Now you can't say that if the doctor can do it, why can't I?  Roll Eyes

I would also point out that in the past, users have been given incentives to post in the thread of what they are advertising.

That thing was abandoned later on when admins started to lock down the threads having such a rule in them. So we better live in present, without doing the things that are not allowed now but were done in the past.
951  Other / Meta / Re: How long will merit exist? on: March 22, 2018, 02:40:14 PM
Do you want to rethink about that? Or is it your final thought? Because that is not making any sense at all.  Roll Eyes

Edit: That actually made me wonder why you have not even crossed Jr. member rank while having 140 Activity points in your name.  Roll Eyes
952  Economy / Reputation / Re: Message to Lauda on: March 22, 2018, 02:32:03 PM
The screenshot might warrant further investigation to see if a connection can be made however it is not proof of anything.

What further investigation do you think is needed if the guy mentions OP's name in the list of his thread bumpers?  Huh Well, I don't think Mysterious01 had randomly chosen some users to put them in his list while dealing with someone as shown in the screenshot. OP must have been working for him, and that is why his name is in that list, and that is exactly why he was tagged. I don't see any complications in that. Besides, OP said it himself that he has done it and he is now sorry for it as it has been two months already. So there is no point in depending him as what he was doing was not decent for people of the community.

The OP claims to have responded to bounties on telegram to ask questions about various ICOs.

Well everyone have the right to make excuses. We are not supposed to take them seriously, are we?  Roll Eyes
953  Economy / Reputation / Re: Message to Lauda on: March 22, 2018, 01:52:04 PM
it looks like the OP has negative trust as a result of this screenshot

I am not sure if there is evidence to connect the OP to mysterious01 or not.

Can you seriously not find OPs username in the list of Mysterious01's "Thread Bumpers" or you are just pretending not to?  Huh
Well, let me guide you a bit in here. 13th username from the bottom is what you need to see from that screenshot, because that is the reason why he (OP) got his negative tag.

Mysterious01 was offering thread bumping services having users working under him. So he used to get-together users and pay them to bump particular threads, and he used to charge the OPs of those threads for this service. OP (Text) as we can see in the screenshot, was under his (Mysterious01's) payroll for doing so, like many other users.

Correct me if I am wrong, anyone.
954  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How do you spot multiple alternate accounts? on: March 22, 2018, 01:37:14 PM
Having multiple accounts is highly discouraged by DT members as the fundamental purpose of this forum is not earning money but exchanging information with each other, and discussing problems related to cryptocurrency industry. So it might not be against the rules to join different campaigns with different accounts, but it is not let by higher members as that begets spam and spamming is against the rules AFAIK.
And, spotting an alternative account of an expert (in this kind of things) is not really easy as they can fit themselves in different styles so that no one can recognize them. Although someone with less expertise and more greed can easily be spotted by his way of writing or simple mistakes like using the same social accounts or bitcoin addresses for different campaigns using different accounts. Below is the link to the thread where such acts are revealed and accounts are tagged for doing so. You can report them there if you spot any.

955  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Merit, Where Are You! on: March 22, 2018, 01:08:30 PM
The application of merit is an incorrect decision. I as a new user in this forum feel unfair

The ones who feel unfair about the system has only one way to react and that is by leaving the forum.
The system has been implemented to reduce spam and spammers from the forum, and so it is doing. Now, for everyone, there are only 2 choices. They either live with it, or live outside the forum.  Roll Eyes Choice is yours.  Wink
956  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Bounties (Altcoins) / Re: [AMBASSADOR CAMPAIGN ]Robin8 - the future of social media on: March 21, 2018, 02:19:28 PM
Hi there.
I just wanted to inform you about a bug in your website. Not sure exactly what is the problem as I'm not really an expert about webs, but when we hover on the dropdown menu, and start coming down in there, the menu collapses back without moving out the mouse. At first I thought maybe I'm moving my mouse wrongly, but then I tried it more than once and I saw this was happening quite every time.
I can be wrong, obviously, but I just wanted to say it here, so that if there is actually a minor problem in there, you can fix it.
957  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Merit, Where Are You! on: March 21, 2018, 02:03:30 PM
At the moment, buying and selling Merit is punishable by painting your trust and negative rating.

At the moment?  Huh You're putting that in a way like it is going to be allowed to buy/sell Merits at some point in future. You should simply say, "It is not allowed to trade Merits." without putting a "At the moment," part at the starting. That makes it sound completely different, and wrong too.

By the way, you just posted a useless thread, containing the same content that has been excessively repeated in many sections already. So, congratulations for being a lazy-head who never cares to read before posting, and, it was a very good try to get your first Merit trying to help some people with a post like this, but I can only see a 0 (zero) in the Merit column of your account, and that might have made you understand that this is not the way to get it.  Roll Eyes

Sorry for the long sentences. I love writing them, not sure about the readers.  Grin Tongue
958  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Newly PBOC Governor Once Called Bitcoin ‘Inspiring’, Praised Its Accessibility on: March 21, 2018, 11:14:52 AM
Just because he said positive things about Bitcoin or cryptocurrencies in past it doesn't mean he will lift the regulations after acquiring the governor's seat. And I don't think these are one-man decisions, but there must be debates and a lot of discussions before doing anything like that. So if there were supporters of this cause, I think they wouldn't have done it at the first place.
959  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will Bitcoin Gain Traction as a Currency? on: March 21, 2018, 11:00:39 AM
In the current quirky world of Crypto, We believe and hope Bitcoin will become a global currency, one that we can spend on "Pizza" the same way we use Visa or MasterCard. What do you think needs to be done to make BlockChain technology a success ?

That doesn't seem to be happening if Bitcoin keeps dumping like this. No business can be stable if a currency backing it up is not stable itself. So I don't think anyone would risk adopting a currency for their business that can turn their $20m to $10m over a night. Though it can go up to $40m as well, but that still doesn't vanish the risk it carries.

https://www.coindesk.com/germany-considers-crypto-legal-equivalent-to-fiat-for-tax-purposes/

.....it could be a huge boost to the German economy and the euro in Germany since people will want to do all their crypto business there.

That rule doesn't apply for business operators I guess, and doing a cryptocurrency business without being taxed is not what Germany allows, but it is just that if a person uses cryptocurrencies as a mode of payment is not taxed for doing so. As, the article says that if an individual is trading cryptocurrencies in their own name will receive a tax exemption, while the exchange where the trades are being done won't receive any.
So, maybe someone would want to go for a shopping trip to Germany, but to start a business there, I don't think that is good idea, as doing it in your own country and doing it there makes it no different.
960  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which is the best ICO in the market with lowest risk. on: March 21, 2018, 10:25:43 AM
This is why I think there should be restrictions on creating new threads for some account levels, outside some particular boards. Is this really a post worth being placed in Bitcoin Discussion?  Huh
If there were restrictions, this guy (who may not know the right board for his post) wouldn't be able to start this discussion in this board which is totally inappropriate.
Something has to be done for this, seriously. And soon enough.
