221  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 🔥 Bitcoin Buy and Hold 👑 on: March 29, 2024, 02:42:09 PM
You will barely hear any failure stories during the bull season in the market because almost everyone who bought before the bull run or the recovery process will be in profit by the time it reaches. The real challenge is to stick around during the bear market and have the same respect, feelings, and enthusiasm for buying and holding Bitcoin because most people's patience is tested during those times and only people with strong hands can stand still.  Wink

More than 50% of people (often newbies) who prays Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies during the bull run but have minimal knowledge about the market or cryptocurrencies tend to run away when the market starts crashing because they have never seen or heard that happening, and it's not easy seeing your portfolio lose value after every passing hour.  Grin
222  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Sam Bankman Fried (scam banker fraud) 25 years on: March 29, 2024, 09:22:27 AM
I watched somewhere on the news where the parent made a statement, “We are heartbroken and will continue to fight for our son.” Is it that they don't know that their son is guilty or what, or are they using the love they have for their child to blind themselves to what's right?

Parents can't accept what's bad in their children even if it's proven. They might know he did something wrong, but they can't stand and watch him spend 25 years in prison without doing anything, after all, he is their child and parents love their children more than anything in the world.  Smiley

That being said, SBF getting the treatment he deserves will surely be an example in this industry for all industry leaders to not do things that SBF did, otherwise, you can end up spending the rest of your life in prison and the money you may earn through fraud and scams won't be of any use.
223  Other / Meta / Re: Alts vs farm. on: March 28, 2024, 11:43:47 PM
I don't know why people keep answering the one when it wasn't a question. It was just a statement while the other two are questions. Yet they are scared of giving explicit answers for number 2 and 3.

I think I have explicitly answered the questions you asked. What are you confused about?

making them have different identities and hiding from the community that it is you behind those alt.
This is not a crime. In some cases, making the community know you are the person behind the account defeats the purpose of having the alt account.

It might not be a crime but it's unethical to have multiple alt accounts, have different identities for all of them, and use different Bitcoin addresses and other details to join signature campaigns, and since all your alts would have different identities, you can possibly join the same campaign with all of them and no one would even know about it. You may say that isn't a crime as well, but that is considered cheating, unethical, and not allowed. Apart from all these points, you can do a bunch of unethical stuff such as scamming people, taking loans and not repaying them, etc., and have no fingers pointed at you being the original account holder because all your alts are undeclared and unknown so no one can blame you for any of that.

So, these are all possibilities of having multiple accounts with different identities which you say is not a crime.  Smiley

225  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Does gambling excites you ? on: March 28, 2024, 07:53:26 PM
It doesn't excite me exactly, and besides, just because you get excited when you are going to do something it doesn't mean you are addicted to it but it simply means that you enjoy doing that thing, and something that you find fun in doesn't have to be an addiction. I have always loved video games, from my childhood, and until today when I'm a man, I still feel excited when I'm about to play some games that I love or try a newly launched game or something. Does that mean I'm addicted to it? No, I barely play games anymore, but I enjoy it whenever I do it, and that excites me.

So a lot of people find gambling being a fun activity, and they love gambling not because they are addicted to it but because they enjoy doing it when they get some free time and have some spare cash to spend on it. There is nothing wrong in that, in my opinion.
226  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: The identity of the bitcoin founder. on: March 28, 2024, 06:05:00 PM
While still deliberating on the issue i told them that i have already invested in bitcoin and some other Altcoins,

Are you sure that you did the right thing by doing that? No one should discuss their finances and other stuff in public gatherings, that could go wrong sometimes. You can't trust anyone these days, even if they are your classmates or whatever, money can change anyone.

i also made it very clearer to them that cryptocurrency is the only way out for financial freedom considering the lingering economic crisis.

Did you also inform them about the risks involved with cryptocurrency trading and investments? And did you happen to mention that one needs a lot of knowledge to be able to make it in this industry? If not, you should go ahead and do that because it's important for them to know everything so that they don't start building skyscrapers in the air.

He came up with this question 'why is the identity of the bitcoin founder (Satoshi Nakamoto) remained unknown'?

His identity remained unknown because he wanted it to be that way. He probably had an idea that, in case, Bitcoin manages to gain significant success in the future, there will be a conflict of interest between people favoring Bitcoin and those who are in favor of fiat currencies and traditional financial systems, and he didn't want to be targeted for being the person who created the reason behind that conflict.
227  Other / Meta / Re: Alts vs farm. on: March 28, 2024, 02:31:02 PM
  • It is allowed to own alts.

Yes, it is. Many reputable forum members have alternative accounts for different purposes. So as long as you are not using them for bad practices, you should be good. It's even better if you declare that you have an alt account so that everyone can see how you use the other account.

  • How many alts will one own and it will become a farm?

The term "farming accounts" refers to the act of creating and growing multiple accounts preferably for the purpose of joining multiple signature or bounty campaigns to earn more money than you can earn while having just one account enrolled. So it doesn't refer to the amount but the act being done. You are farming accounts even if you have just one alt that you are growing with your main account and will get it enrolled in a signature campaign later when it's ready.

  • Are farm accounts without merit sharing, cheating campaigns or contests allowed?

You mean alt accounts, right? Yes, you are allowed to have alt accounts if you are not farming them to cheat campaigns or contests making them have different identities and hiding from the community that it is you behind those alt.
228  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: ANN : Embark on the Blockchain Evolution with Savitri: Opportunities as Ambassad on: March 28, 2024, 02:33:12 AM
The node with the highest score finalizes and forwards the block to master nodes, receiving 80% of the transaction fees, with the remainder distributed among the participants.

What if more than one nodes have the same score? Like they have all the requirements at the same level based on the parameters you described. How will the chain decide which node should be allowed to forward the block and get rewarded? Is it possible for it to allow multiple nodes to do that and get the block reward split between them? Please elaborate.

229  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Knowledge is the New Gold on: March 28, 2024, 12:34:32 AM
This is why it's said that education is a blessing because a well-educated person would learn all these things before they get involved. I can't imagine buying Bitcoin or using it if I don't have any knowledge about how I can keep it and how other similar things work around it and that is because I'm educated and I know I can learn everything if I do some research because nothing is hard to learn if you know how to read and understand stuff.

So as I was saying, education is a blessing. Just like how your friend charged the person 30% of the amount for getting his work done, you can't imagine how people would be ready to pay you money for doing things that are nothing at all. A person once asked me to check why he isn't able to make phone calls with his mobile phone, when I checked, he had some option disabled in the network settings and I corrected it, he asked me how much I would charge for that. I said it's nothing, you don't need to pay me for this, but I was shocked to see that and it also made me realize how powerful knowledge and education can be.
230  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin a scam on: March 27, 2024, 11:41:43 PM
there will be people that will always think of it as a scam even if you put proofs on the table that it's a legitimate thing, a legit money that can be spent to anything now in the world.

Well, maybe not everything just yet but we will get there eventually.

I wonder why we need to provide any proof or make anyone believe that Bitcoin is not a scam. Let them think whatever they want, it's not going to harm us or Bitcoin in general, nor are we going to get any benefit if they believe our words and stop thinking negatively about it. It's their loss if they are not taking Bitcoin seriously and still aren't mentally ready to accept its significance.

People from the past who used to do the same thing with Bitcoin are regretting their thought processes from back then because if they hadn't done that and instead adopted Bitcoin, they could become millionaires today.  Smiley

So, it's their loss, we have nothing to lose if they think Bitcoin is a scam.
231  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Does number of traders affect volatility? on: March 27, 2024, 09:49:08 PM
Amount impacts volatility more than number of traders. If there are 100 people with 100 million dollars versus 100k people with 1 million dollars, then the ones with 100 million will impact it a lot more. Volatility happens when some people buy a lot of bitcoin or sell a lot of bitcoin, which means it all depends on the amount. If there are a lot of people but not a lot of money then how could that impact the price, it usually won't and that is what matters.

I personally believe that we need to make sure that we could move the needle with the amount we are talking about. Don't get me wrong more people usually does mean more money, but it is not a must and even a few people could impact the volatility in the end.

I agree with your points but I think the number of traders also matters in some cases, let me explain how.

You are right that the amount of money is what impacts the volatility in a market in reality, but when the number of traders is less, that volatility would take more time which means the market would be a bit stable. The reason behind that is, that if there aren't a lot of traders, there wouldn't be a lot of asking and bidding prices, and fewer bids or asks mean more time for the price of an asset to change.

If only 10 people are trading a certain cryptocurrency, you would barely see its price moving up or down much because the number of traders isn't high and even if those 10 people have a lot of money to buy or sell that cryptocurrency, they wouldn't be able to do that quickly because there aren't a lot of people willing to buy or sell that cryptocurrency. Now change that number from 10 to 100 and you will see a big difference.
232  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Do you think merit is by chance or lengthy article? on: March 26, 2024, 01:11:56 PM
Quality over quantity as always is better but from my view I have seen some lengthy post receive merit,

It's because they are of good quality and the details and information shared in them are useful and worthy. You can't expect a long post with a bunch of gibberish written in it to receive merits because it's all about quality and constructiveness.

understanding how merit works is complicated and I think you should focus  more on something else.

What's so complicated about it?  Roll Eyes It's very simple, a user who is informative and posts only when they know they can contribute something to the topic tends to get merits all the time, and those who try very hard for it, create lengthy but useless posts and are barely interested in learning how things work will not get any or enough to grow in the forum.  Smiley
233  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: R7 Promotions IPL CONTEST2024 🏏 & DISCUSSION on: March 26, 2024, 12:41:56 PM
Yesterday there was a match between the team of Punjab Kings and Royal in which Royal Challengers Bengaluru have won the match by four wickets. Punjab King targeted 177 runs and Royal achieved this target and get victory.

It was pretty close, I thought RCB was going to lose the match but Dinesh Darthik saved the day at the end. I thought he wouldn't be able to do that but fortunate for them, he did.  Grin

235  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Countdown to the 4th Bitcoin halving.. what should we expect? on: March 26, 2024, 10:52:19 AM
What's your take on this? How excited are you for this halving, and what's your prediction for BTC price movements?

My excitement is to see how Bitcoin would react after the halving. We have seen unexpected things happening this time around, Bitcoin has created a new all-time high even before the halving. Now after that, our expectations are higher than before and we expect Bitcoin to at least reach $100,000 without any problems within the next two years.
I don't have unrealistic expectations from it though, I know it can surprise us again after the halving as it did earlier, but that would depend on the increment in the demand and the number of investors willing to buy more Bitcoin after or around the halving event.
236  Other / Meta / Re: Can Merits be Deleted if the Merited Post is Removed in a Self-Moderated Thread? on: March 25, 2024, 11:28:14 PM
am not saying that merited posts cant be deleted, but for such to receive merit, it deserves not to be deleted and is likely not going to be deleted.

That's not accurate. Merit is given subjectively on a lot of occasions, and it doesn't mean that if you have received a merit from me for a certain post that you made should make your post stay and mods shouldn't delete it even if it isn't good enough but maybe I liked something in it.

Do you think that every single post in this forum that has received at least one merit from the announcement day of the merit system till today is constructive and deserves merits or shouldn't/shouldn't have been deleted?
237  Economy / Gambling / Re: GETSATS.CLUB, a new NO-KYC, lightning network, onion casino | LIMITED FREE BET on: March 25, 2024, 09:26:04 PM
Welcome to the forum!

First things first, the UI can be improved greatly, I know you tried your best and you are new in the industry, but you need to make it look better, at least the alignment of items being shown should be better.

I opened the Hi-Lo game, and the items are so large that you need to scroll up and down to see the whole screen, and even after scrolling up, the card doesn't appear complete from the top. You should make the size of each item small so that it fits in a single frame and there shouldn't be a scroll bar available on that screen.

I also have a question. Since you mentioned that the HI-LO game offers a 2:1 payout ratio and if one bets with 500 Sats, they get 1000 Sats for a win. Does that mean your HI-LO game has no house edge? Does that apply to real money as well or it's just for the demo mode and it will be changed when you launch the full version?

Edit: I have noticed one more thing in the HI-LO game. A popup notification tells you how much you have won when you win a bet, but there is no popup when you lose. Why is that? There should be a popup for the lost bets as well and it should show the amount lost, or at least show that the bet has been lost.
238  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If Bitcoin could speak ... on: March 25, 2024, 08:52:35 PM
If Bitcoin could speak It’ll speak about how Satoshi Nakamoto created it and put value into it. It will speak about how it was just about worthless. How it was valued at mere fractions of a cent.

By "value", do you mean monetary worth or usefulness and utility? If you wanted to refer to the first one, then you are wrong because Satoshi Nakamoto didn't put monetary value into Bitcoin but it was the demand that kept increasing and the people that bought Bitcoin in the initial days who put actual value in it being the first adopters of the innovation.  Smiley

No creator or developer can put value in their creation; they can put it up for sale, and people who buy it are the ones putting value in it. If no one decides to buy your creation, it will stay worthless forever.
