961  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Hold on to patience even when it feels like wearing off on: December 31, 2019, 10:18:41 AM
Altcoins seem to be the ones taking the hits of negative results and they are not encouraging, i know its not a good time for every altcoin holders, the question you all need to be asking yourselves is how long will altcoin market keep declining? will it take forever cos nothing last forever, patience is all you need, if its not enough to calm you then look for other ways to sustain yourself for a while, do not run because of present condition cos it doesn't justified tomorrow. For whatever is going to turn out good will first go sideways.
Yeah your right not everything will remain as it is especially the altcoin prices because time will surely come that their prices will recover. What we really need is patience and faith to the currencies that we are currently holding.

Market is like a wheel so we don't need to worry that the prices of any currencies will keep on declining as time will come that wheel will turn to the opposite side and that's when the prices will start to rise. If you are a wise investors and you have plenty of spare money then buying more is your best option right now then hold it for a long term.
962  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Google banned ETH wallet and metamask android client on Playstore on: December 31, 2019, 08:39:36 AM
Google has banned Ethereum (ETH) wallet and decentralized app (DApp) browser Metamask’s android client from its Play app store.

The MetaMask team took to Twitter on Dec. 26, where they announced that Google had suspended MetaMask’s android client from Google Play’s app store, claiming MetaMask was in violation of Google’s financial services policies.

Here is the link to full the news
https://cointelegraph.com/news/google-suspends-metamask-from-its-play-app-store-citing-deceptive-services/amp
If they have violated something they should fix it in order to proceed with their plan without any problem. I would be love to use metamask using my android phone so I am hoping that whatever is the hurdle of their launch they can fix it.

I am sure that Google only wants a safe launching so it will be difficult for the hackers to breach their security or whatever reason they have right now in banning ETH wallet and metamask android client in their playstore.
963  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Future of BNB? on: December 31, 2019, 07:47:08 AM
BNB was one of the most profitable exchange tokens before a while but now the value has dropped by over 50% as it's trailing at a mere $14 as of now and the same was above $35 in the month of June. If this trend continues then the BNB will lose its potential and investors. BNB was one of my favorite tokens which have crashed terribly, what do you think will be the future of this token?
If they continue to widen their marketing and will do their best to provide the best service then they can surely recover once the market will become lively again.

A drop of 21$ is not that big knowing that almost all the the currencies price right now is dropping also due to bear market. If you believe in bnb then hold it and wait for it's price to bounce back before selling your holdings.
964  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Your Expectations for year 2020 on: December 30, 2019, 11:20:14 AM
The year 2019 came with diverse expectations from everyone. Some persons were of the opinion that the year would be better than the previous year, others had a negative view.
The year 2020 is around the corner and I would like to know what are your expectations as it relates to the market, Crytocurrency projects and the overall health of the industry.
The bear market is kinda long already therefore what I am expecting for next year is the market will start to recover slowly and many project will start to be alive again.

First quarter of the year is the crucial part on how the market will flow but if the market will start to recover in that quarter then the following quarters of the year will be the bull run in which both investors and project owners will start to rock the market again.
965  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ICO is dead these days, what next in the market? STO? IEO? on: December 30, 2019, 10:13:03 AM
In the last 2 years ICO has gone upto peak level with many projects.
Now ICO market is completely gone because of 90% projects fallen into scam category.
Many startups made huge money and in return they pay nothing.
So whats new these days as a trusted token offering model?

Everything will be back once the market will recover but right now IEO is more popular compare to the old fund raising techniques like ICO and STO.

It's pretty difficult to distinguish right now the trusted offering model as most of the model are made just to earn money and not made to serve the customers and investors unlike in the past peak season. What I am looking is whether there is another offering model that will pop up once IEO will become obsolete.
966  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Altcoin Bleeding on: December 30, 2019, 08:19:59 AM
Altcoin is not increasing for so many days. New money is not coming in market. So Always invest in good Top 30 Altcoins for being Safe.
Top 10 is the safest one but right now the best option is to stock the coins that you like and hold it for a long term until the market will recover. As the market is bleeding the prices of any coins are very low also therefore it is the right time to buy.

Due to market conditions, very few projects are launching therefore the altcoins are not increasing unlike in the past.
967  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why do people still fall victim to obvious scam? on: December 30, 2019, 06:30:03 AM
Why do people still fall victims to obvious scams? Especially on twitter people are still sending bitcoin to traders, no one is a perfect trader, do not send bitcoin or other coins to people to trade for you, its stupid and foolish idea

Today a bitcoin trader on twitter exit scam and delete all traces off social media, i heard its about 53bitcoin, here is the link to the news

https://coinnewstelegraph.com/bitmex-bitcoin-fund-manager-exit-scams-before-christmas/

Pls stop, there is no such thing as easy money, its either you learn or you quit or else you will keep losing money
It's because of greediness, that's what happen to people who are greedy enough who wants to earn a money without spending a little efforts.

I've seen a lot of that scheme and I wonder also why there are still people who trust their money to other people even if they know that there is a big possibility that there money will be lost.
968  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Gifting satoshis to future generations on: December 30, 2019, 05:42:47 AM
Today I found on medium this nice article by Federico Tenga about long term storing of bitcoin to be gifted to future generations.
There are a few interesting points to be considered, some of them I completely overlooked while thinking about this very topic:

So, have a read:

Quote

Recently I’ve been tasked to gift some satoshis to a newborn baby, who is supposed to redeem them when he grows up, about 18 years from now. The challenge was trickier than originally expected, as there are many different ways to store bitcoin, each one with different trade-offs, and at the same time it’s hard to predict the state of the Bitcoin industry two decades into the future.

Hardware compatibility doesn’t age well

After a few thoughts he came with this solution:

Read the whole article here:

He has an (inactive) account here on Bitcointalk, maybe if you have enough comment we can summon him back to the forum!

It is a unique way of gift that can result in either happy or sad moment. It will be happy if it turns out that 18 years from now bitcoin will still exist and it's value will climb up to it's highest.

While the opposite one is once bitcoin is not existing anymore or it's value goes back to nothing. In any case, I like the idea as it is very unique and is very challenging for the receiver on how he is going to redeem the gift once he is ready.
969  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Business ideas with 60 Bitcoin? What would you do? on: December 29, 2019, 08:22:24 AM
If someone has 60 BTC can he start a decent crypto business to make passive income? Please share some business ideas.
What would you prefer? Casino/Sportsbetting/Wallet/Exchange and which has the highest earning potential?
Provided i have funds - 60BTC and no knowledge regarding business and i am not a designer but i want to start my own crypto business. Where can i start? Where can i find and hire team for myself like designers/developers etc to start my business? I know good team can help the business grow but bad team can ruin everything so what are the things to look for before starting a business? Where to get the business partners with good ideas and genuine team? Where would you start from if you are in my situation. Please share your opinions in this thread  Smiley
Base on your statement I can conclude that you have no deeper knowledge about crypto currencies so what I can suggest for you is to study first what is crypto currencies then I am sure that as time passes by you can find the best answer for your question.

Here is my little advice, 60btc is not enough to start a proper exchange especially if you will not launch an ieo or any type of fund raising first so you can take it out to your choices. The same with casino or sports betting as it will need a huge amount as capital in order to fully operate without any problem.

The best option for you is gather your own team and launch an ieo or any type of fund raising then proceed to what you want to create either casino, exchange or any that you like as 60btc is a very small amount as capital.
970  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is difficult to accept in countries on: December 29, 2019, 07:26:32 AM
at this time we know that the Blockchain is being discussed in large countries. and some time ago the Chinese president was welcome on Blockchain. But what about Bitcoin? there is still a lot of controversy going on. Even the US (SEC) is still rejecting the given bitcoin proposal. while we know. Bitcoin is the first carrier of Blockchain technology for general use. is it because of the basic bitcoin that has an anonymous background? so it is difficult to be accepted by the state. could bitcoin be separated someday? I mean Blockchain will be positively welcomed in the world. while Bitcoin will remain controversial.
share your opinions.
The future of bitcoin will lies to the hand of the governments and to the entities that fully accept bitcoin as it is. With regards to uses, most of the governments will surely create their own coin that they will distribute to it's people once fiat will be replace someday.

The question will always remain whether there will be a country that is willing to fully accept and use bitcoin as their main currency in the future. Being anonymous have plenty of advantages the same with disadvantages so it's up for the country whether what will be their decision either to accept bitcoin or not. Right now I can say the same, most of the countries have difficulty in accepting bitcoin.
971  Economy / Speculation / Re: Next Bitcoin Halving will drive the price down... on: December 29, 2019, 04:09:42 AM
Next Bitcoin Halving will drive the price down because the ecological system in which Bitcoin lives will be reduced.
More miners will bail, and it is the miners who are the bone marrow that creates the life blood of block chain.

Thoughts?
It's too soon to decide the price of bitcoin because no miners will bail especially if the price of bitcoin will skyrocket due to massive demand. The price of any currencies will always depend to the demand and as you can see even in the bear season the big whales favor bitcoin over other currencies.

There is only two option right now either the market will continue to goes down or it will recover and it will be decided after the halving.
972  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: YouTube admits error over Bitcoin video purge on: December 29, 2019, 03:35:25 AM
https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/technology-50924494

Quote
YouTube has reinstated hundreds of crypto-currency related channels after admitting it had removed them "in error".

A wave of YouTubers received notifications that their videos were in breach of the platform's terms of service earlier this week.

The move appeared to target smaller channels and publishers that focused on Bitcoin and crypto-currency content.

The Google-owned video sharing platform has since apologised for the mistake.

YouTube said in a statement that it had "made the wrong call" and confirmed that any content mistakenly removed would be restored.

"With the massive volume of videos on our site, sometimes we make the wrong call," it said.

"When it's brought to our attention that a video has been removed mistakenly, we act quickly to reinstate it."

It said there had been no changes to its polices, and insisted there would be "no penalty" to any channels that were affected by the incident.

Despite the apologies, I still think bitcoin video enthusiasts should migrate to decentralised video hosting sites like D tube: https://d.tube/
It's great that they accept their mistake and will restore the channel's that are affected to it. It only means that YouTube is not against to crypto and its good but migrating to the same platform that are not very popular is not that easy because the advertisers will only get a very low volume of audience.

Right now the best option for other platform like D tube is to make sure that they continue to gather audience or customers so we can transfer to them anytime the YouTube will fully ban crypto related channels and videos.
973  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Worsening Lebanese Crisis May Spark Bitcoin Adoption on: December 29, 2019, 03:05:20 AM
The middle eastern nation of Lebanon has been suffering its worst civil and economic crisis since its civil war in the mid-1970s. With no end in sight, the desperate yet resourceful population may start to explore Bitcoin as a weapon against the corrupt political and banking system.

BeInCrypto first reported on the civil unrest in Lebanon in October. Demonstrators took to the streets to voice their objections to a planned tax hike on tobacco, fuel, and telecom tariffs. As is often the case, this quickly morphed into a general movement against political and financial corruption.

Source link here

Just like Venezuela, it looks like Lebanon might be the next to start adopting Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies.

Despite that Venezuela is on a crisis, they already made their move in using Bitcoin for various cases. Now that Lebanon is facing crisis and may worse in months to come, it’s time for them to accept and embrace Bitcoin with open arms.

What do you think about this latest situation in Lebanon? Do you honestly think that Bitcoin would really save them from their ongoing crisis?
I am not sure whether bitcoin can really save Lebanon to its current situation but what I'm sure is there is a chance if they will start to adopt bitcoin and other currencies right now.

All will depend to their resources also whether there is an exchange that is willing to be a bridge to their adoption in crypto currencies so they can easily start as cashing in and cashing out is their main hurdle if no local exchange will be launch in Lebanon.
974  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Deutsche Bank predicts cryptocurrency could replace fiat by 2030. on: December 28, 2019, 01:58:28 PM
COINTELEGRAPH
By 2030, the demand for alternative currencies will rise, with digital currencies eventually replacing cash, according to recent research from Deutsche Bank.

In the “Imagine 2030” report, Deutsche Bank strategist Jim Reid raised awareness of the challenges the existing fiat system has encountered in recent years, specifically with the emergence of cryptocurrencies. Reid stipulated that people’s heightened demand for dematerialized means of payment and anonymity could drive more individuals to digital currencies.

MAINSTREAM ADOPTION AND CO-OCCURRING CHALLENGES
In order to gain wider acceptance, digital assets need to overcome three major hurdles. These include perceived legitimacy in the eyes of governments and regulators, which entails price stability and allows for global reach in the payment market. According to Reid, the establishment of alliances with key stakeholders like mobile apps and card providers will enable this development.

At the same time, Reid pointed out that with mainstream adoption, new challenges will arise. Among major threats to the purported digital currency-based financial system, Reid named dependence on electricity, cyberattacks and a digital war. “As that occurs, the line between cryptocurrencies, financial institutions, and public and private sectors may become blurred,” Reid wrote.

COUNTRIES EXAMINE CBDC
In the meantime, world governments have been actively debating the need to develop national digital currencies. Earlier today, Bank of Japan Governor Haruhiko Kuroda said that there is no public demand for a central bank digital currency (CBDC) in the country. Kuroda noted the increasing demand for cash payments and added that the bank had been conducting technical and legal research into the matter.

The British Virgin Islands has taken a more proactive approach to CBDCs, announcing that the country is developing a digital currency dubbed BVI~LIFE in collaboration with blockchain startup LifeLabs. The currency is part of a broader initiative to grow the local fintech sector. It will be pegged to the U.S. dollar.

The central bank of France plans to pilot a CBDC for financial institutions in 2020.

Here is my opinion: the creation of this kind of aspect will give an impetus to the transformation of bitcoin throughout the world.

Source: https://refind.com/link/49095261
This is another step for crypto currencies to spread more as Reid already pointed out all the possibilities that will occur in the future. The hurdles and the benefits of digital payments, I am very excited whether bitcoin will still there once fiat will be replace as the main currency.

2030 is not that far so I am really confuse whether the prediction of Deutsche Bank will become in reality.
975  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The fight against Bitcoin is coming. Are we ready?! on: December 28, 2019, 12:12:06 PM
Recently Brett Sherman was nominated to chair of Investor Protection, Entrepreneurship and Capital Markets. He will surely have the power to influence bills that can get introduced into Congress. He has been incredibly anti-bitcoin and will surely try to pass bills that will stifle the growth of the industry. Also recently BIS head has been advocating Central Banks begin to use digital currencies for themselves. This will surely play out as a way to out-compete crypto.

https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2019-12-05/bis-wants-central-banks-at-center-of-digital-cash-revolution

Discussion: How can they community rally together for what is to come? Are we ready for when governments restrict / sanction any capital flow into exchanges? How prepared are we for these things?
Even if we are not yet ready still we have no other option but to be ready on what to come as we all know already that there plenty of entities that are against bitcoin because of their own greediness towards monopoly of money.

Our fight against them are those entities who have the same goal with us. Let's continue to spread the good news of crypto currencies so we can widen our allies as it is our only way to win this fight against them.
976  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Time for YouTube to vanish ... on: December 28, 2019, 11:27:32 AM
YouTube is loosing quickly !!!

Have you seen what goes on with the Crypto Youtube channels?
They getting blocked and deleted by YouTube in masses....

THIS IS THE MOMENT FOR AMP SYNEREO HYPERSPACE  !!!

....we should take that chance to decentralize that space for us!

YouTube is very popular right now so vanishing them is not that easy but if the same platform will occur then all the crypto members will decide to use it instead of YouTube then we can fully boycott YouTube.

But as you can see, many advertisers preferred YouTube because of it's popularity and this habit will not be replaced easily but if we have no other option then boycotting YouTube is our only option if YouTube decide to fully banned crypto in their platform.

Hello friends. All of you know about the BCNEX (Exchange) project.

I've been using bcnex without any problem and now I am a little bit worried about this issue as no representative from bcnex that is replying to this issue right now.

978  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Some big things to watch for in 2020 on: December 27, 2019, 03:42:17 AM
2020 will be coming soon. People have a big expectation in the upcoming year that there will be some big changes in crypto world. Even if some people doubt the future of cryptocurrency, we must be curious about what will happen in the next year exactly.

Here are some big things that all people may be waiting for in 2020:

1. How Bitcoin halving can bring impacts in crypto space.
2. Will we see the launching of Libra coin.
3. Us government intervention in crypto space, Libra project gets no progress.
4. People are waiting for the launching of Ethereum 2.0’s
5. SEC vs. Telegram, what is the end of this fighting?

More details, you can find out in the article: https://www.coindesk.com/10-events-to-look-out-for-in-2020

*What do you think guys?

2020 is getting hotter in crypto world and this is a big evidence that crypto became very well known as the time passes by. What I am expecting by 2020 is the market will shift from bear to bull and reason will be the bitcoin halving, lauching of ethereum 2.0 and more people will adapt crypto currencies.

There is a very less chance for Libra to launch by next year because of the obstacles that it is facing right now and the US already intervened the launch of it.
979  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Chinese Authorities Confiscating miners on: December 27, 2019, 03:09:01 AM
Chinese authorities have seized nearly 7000 crypto mining machines that are illegally consuming electric power, really hope this won't affect bitcoin in any way? And why are people doing this? Prove of staking is a better option and no one will ever know you are mining anything, i am not saying POW miners are bad but illegally? Come on! It's not worth taking such risk when they know they can be caught, they can earn same profits from Staking

Full news is right here
https://cointelegraph.com/news/chinese-authorities-confiscate-nearly-7-000-crypto-mining-machines
It will surely affect the mining society but as what they did, I know that they are already prepared to it as mining illegally is not a good option also.
It is like earning a money by stealing electricity without paying a bucks to the owner, I hope they learned from it so it will not happen again.

And the best area to put mining gigs are in the country in which electricity is very affordable so you don't need to steal an electricity instead you will earn a good profit while paying the electricity that you have used.
