I heard from their support how you can get the address they want. You go to the debug console and type:

Code:
getnewaddress '' normal

What are you talking about? We have been working on this with the Cryptocoin Revival Foundation for a long time now.

what about this??!!!!!!!!!

Virustotal results

File name:   Frycoin-qt.exe
Detection ratio:   10 / 57
Analysis date:   2015-03-12 05:20:48 UTC ( 0 minutes ago )

I would say it's a false positive especially if it's based on user feedback/reputation or a heuristic detection. Many wallets will show up as a potential virus on various scanners.

What does your virus scanner say it detected? You should be able to look up the definition of what your AV scanner says it is.

Indeed, many wallets show up as false positives. That is the exact reason why virus scanners ask you what to do with the program. They are sometimes wrong.

I think there is no way around it, I'll need to use BOOST for the socket library since its cross platform and seems to be the most reliable, which I suppose I don't have any problems with, its working right now for just about every implementation of bitcoin.

However, I still need to find a cross platform launcher which will load the browser up.  I'm thinking I can use a system console type command to attempt to launch the default browser to 127.0.0.1:31337 (or some port we decide on).  Then the software app will look for local html/css files to handle GUI & AJAX to update in realtime.

I'll see if I can put together a demo.

After I figure this out, I'm done on programming until more planning.  In particular, my focus will be a strategy to handle the fixed ledger, large transaction volume & the marketplace.

Good to see you're still at it :-)

-----------------------------------------------UPDATE-----------------------------------------------

Fibre will be leaving the Blocknet Project.

It is with great regret that I have to inform you Fibre is leaving the Blocknet project. This decision was not easy to make, the reasons being community/investor demand and a change of direction for Fibre in 2015. My opinion of Blocknet has not changed, it will one day be a very successful project. However, I have a duty to look after the interest of our investors and my personal opinion cannot override my decision making for Fibre.

I have built a great working relationships with some of the guys involved and I wish Blocknet and all participating coins all the best in future.

Regards,

Killakem

----We had a great 2014, 2015 is the year Fibre will hit its true potential----

Is this good or bad?

A quick check of the mining pools listed in the OP reveals that the bitember pool is still active on 107.150.38.154.

I have a node syncing up on 85.10.194.50 (should be up to date in a few hours) and peerinfo is reporting four active nodes in total:

addnode=107.150.38.154:9508
addnode=85.236.188.213:57622
addnode=50.197.11.193:57288
addnode=23.21.204.34:53076

HTH

Cheers

Graham

Graham,

Thank very much.
I have made a config file with these addodes.
I have 2 connections with the network and the download of the blocks has started.

Download is complete.
My wallet works perfect again, and all the coins have arrived in my balance;
Thanks for helping.

Hi Rikkie,

Can you perhaps upload your wallet.exe to mega.co.nz and share the link? That way I can see if I can get it to work on my computer?

Would be really appreciated!

sorry guys.. gota vote no on this....

about to turn rigs off too Sad

No worries, throughout my conversations I have had with everyone I feel the same way to now. I am glad the price did not end up getting as hurt from this proposition as some thought it would, and I am sure that this vote will not pass.

We are still working hard on finding alternatives to raise money, we have had some good suggestions so far. But one thing is certain, we do need funding.

Also you gotta do what you gotta do with turning your rigs off, I completely understand that your operation specifically has to be expensive. We have another merged folding candidate that we will announce hopefully soon that may change your mind and turn them back on Smiley

Please still keep tabs on this project and thank you for the work you have done this far Smiley

Thank you for your comments... You have been very professional throughout the time I have paid attention to this project...  I did donate some....

word needs to get to the people that need the folding done. and convince them that if they purchase foldingcoins.. holding the price up.. more and more will fold. Smiley
Thank you for the donation of BTC and computational power Cheesy

I will say a couple of good things have come from my poor decision to submit this as a suggestion:
  • 1. A lot of people with marketing experience have approached me and scolded me for this bad decision. But at the same time, they have given great advice on what should have been done, and what still can be done because of this
  • 2. I have learned that we really have a strong community of supporters for FLDC, that has shown through the overwhelming amount of forum, email messages, ext that have come from announcing this. I don't think i received as many emails for anything else that we have done lol
  • 3. This vote will most likely not pass and that shows that even if a bad idea has been suggested, that it can be struck down if the community does not support this
  • 4. I learned that the way we did this originally was the right move of not having a presale. Many people expressed that they loved the fact that there was no pre mine and that was an attractive thing that the devs kept the playing field level for everyone. We still do need funding though, but we are exploring much safer, less controversial ways to do so
  • 5. I have learned from many comments (like yours) that people do indeed trust us the devs and support us greatly. I take solo responsibility for this mistake and the other devs are in no way shape or form to blame for this. I have had really inspiring comments about what we have done thus far and how this was the first major mistake and i personally apologize to everyone for suggesting this. I will do better going forward and I hope no trust in me was lost because of this.
  • 6. Even though the vote process is great, and things like this can be struck down with a vote, I now know that even more measures need to be put in place to prevent something like this from happening again. We will be rethinking the voting process (obviously it will be put up for a vote again) to include even more community vetting before something like this gets put up.

I donīt think it was a bad decision to put this up for a vote and there are some people that voted in favor of it. The good thing is that it gets the funding on the agenda and gets people to think about alternative ways to handle this. Smiley

Just wanted to update on my situation.  I'm still coding some loose ends for my business, but none the less I'm going to start working on the plan for this new code base.  My goal is simplicity while still being secure.  I'm not sure when I'll get done with the diagrams but as I go from topic to topic involving how to put this together I'll post here.  There should be at least some kind of weekly activity from me at this point.  Expect just diagrams and planning this month.

Great! Thanks for the update!
