I have some problems with the wallet. i downloaded the wallet and it says out of sync and 0 active connections, even though i am connected to the internet. how can i fix this?

Be patient while your wallet finds connections usually is the fix. I helped someone with their wallet just yesterday and it took almost an hour to find the first connection. Poor internet bandwidth was likely the culpret as they had many wallets and active programs hogging available bandwidth.

You can try to speed this up also: From the debug console, issue "addnode seed1.sterlingcoin.org.uk add"
You can do this for seed2.sterlingcoin.org.uk also.

The OP has additional public seeds community members have provided also. You may want to review that info.

I hope this helps! Smiley
tried to add node but it gave me this error "Method not found (code -32601)"

My bad. Edit your sterlingcoin.conf file and add this new line: "addnode=seed1.sterlingcoin.org.uk"
Save the config file and close and open your wallet so that it reads the new config file.

sorry, i don't know a lot about this but where can i find the sterlingcoin.conf file?
also let it connect for the night but still no active connections.

Check your firewall settings, it may be getting blocked.

The transaction explorer is not showing the current amount of coins in circulation. Are there more than 3.8 million?

We are currently doing some backend work. You can see the total SLG in circulation on the Statistics page of the wallet.

Currently there are 3,874,411 Sterlingcoin in circulation.

I had an issue getting the wallet to sync at all for the first time on windows 7. Should I reinstall or try again? It was about a week ago, if there was a network issue at all.

There was no network issue. You can read and try the steps mentioned in previous posts (this page and the previous) to get your wallet to sync.

Sounds like a firewall issue to me. Smiley

Hi,

People can use Bitcoin, Darkcoin, Sterlingcoin and Guldencoin on Bitsms. Bitsms is improving their systems at the moment and will be back end of March after its modest funding round on Startjoin – https://www.startjoin.com/sms

Bitsms is expanding and improving its sytems to cater other platforms that want to send their users and clients alerts, notifications, authentication etc. via sms. All paid for in crypto. Cystum, the multipool made by the SLG devs, will be among the first of the API users.

If Bitsms will be back end March, will this affect the release date of the  Cystum multipool?

I don't know what the confusion is here. Bitsms is a separate service where Sterlingcoin happens to be integrated. The API will be implemented in the Cystum pool, other then that it has nothing to do with the Cystum development. Implementing the Bitsms API can be done at any point once it is done so it shouldn't affect any release date of services outside Bitsms.
