961  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: May 12, 2022, 09:37:53 AM
I believe it was an easy victory for DC since they came up with a plan and executed it quite well, though they did not take many wickets in the first half but made it tough for RR. Marsh did play an important role in being both bowler and batsman.  Aussie duo of Warner and Marsh together scored 144 runs and the rest was taken care  by others.

I have seen the performance of batsmen in the previous few matches. It is very difficult to collect runs on such a pitch. Delhi would have lost the target of 160 runs given by Rajasthan if Warner and Marsh had not batted responsibly. I don't want to give credit to Delhi bowlers. Because the pitches here are helpful for bowling. On such a pitch 160 is good enough collection to win.
Also the hot weather is one of the factors in lower moral of the player. Dead pitches take the spirit away.
Good work by Delhi and of course the credit goes to the Marsh and Warner. The target was not big but the performance of both the teams were okie.
962  Economy / Economics / Re: Standard of living on: May 12, 2022, 08:02:01 AM
So i would like to know what the standard of living is like in your country now compared to five years ago. Was there any sharp difference in the standard of living pre pandemic and now. If there is a great fall in the standard of living in your country, have there been any move by the government and employers of labor to alleviate the sufferings of people. People who live in Ukraine, if you don't mind, i think a lot of people would want to know what it is like there too since the war began.

I think it's global issue but my country is worst hit by Russia Ukarine war crisis. Cost of living has gone so up, basic necessity of life like patrol prices, house rents are gone so high that a common men can't afford a quality life these days. I work part time in crypto to meet my expenses.
963  Economy / Economics / Re: The main harm of existing “Stablecoins” is not controlled emission on: May 12, 2022, 07:26:43 AM
My issue with Stablecoins are the validity of the statement that $1 = 1 Stablecoin  Roll Eyes  It is almost impossible to trace the dollars that are supposedly backing the value of the tokens.  Roll Eyes

If that was the case, then I think Stablecoins are actually helping inflation ...because more toilet paper money needs to be printed to back the Stablecoins in circulation.  Cry

Yes there is no way we can say with certainty that all coins in circulation of stable coins are backed by usd. We have recent example of UST crash (a stable coin) and its founder has done that before with Basis Cash (BAC), a stable coin that crashes in late 2020. Check this link for more details

964  Economy / Economics / Re: MicroStrategy Buys $250M in Bitcoin, Calling the Crypto ‘Superior to Cash’ on: May 12, 2022, 06:43:11 AM

Did they sell off there btc when price was All Time High in Nov 2021 i.e. 68k$? They have made a good move by investing in bitcoin at 19k$. Even if they have it today they can sell and get profit. I m new to this thread so won't have idea if they still have it or sold.
965  Economy / Economics / Re: Will BTC be used as a world currency?? on: May 12, 2022, 06:22:21 AM
This week became a black history of cryptocurrencies, bitcoin dropped more than 25% and now the price is around $28k, I didn't expect the price to drop significantly and today I heard bad news on many business stations like CNN, CNBC and so on, a source said bitcoin drop looks happy.

This is one important factor that is stopping bitcoin from reaching global adoption. Apart from that another issue is decentralized nature of bitcoin, we saw EU getting united on one current which is euro just because its centralised and still under control of banks. As long as bitcoin is decentralized, the whole world can't accept it.
966  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: A time people have been waiting for bitcoin to drop on: May 09, 2022, 05:12:40 PM
I want to know when is the best time to buy or waiting more dip to buy and what if the price turns back to bull?

There is no simple answer to this question, if there exists a simple answer to this question then we need are millionaire by now. The best time is when price has gone down significantly (as it is now). You can start buying bitcoin in chunks like if you have 1000$ to invest in bitcoin then buy invest 300$ at one price, 300 on second price and remaining 400$ on third price. This gives you good average bitcoin price.
These are just my few satoshis.
967  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: May 09, 2022, 05:05:00 PM

The target of 166 runs was not a big target. At the same time, the players of Mumbai Indians were confident today after winning the last two matches. The performance of Mumbai's batsmen in the last two matches was also very good. However, against Kolkata today, Mumbai's situation is not very good as they are batting for just 166 runs. They collected only 58 runs in 9 overs. Winning the match is becoming difficult for them.

It's very much Ishan Kishan vs KKR. MI top 3 batsmen are gone only Ishan is holding the Fort. 83 of 46 balls need good hitting, ishan is very much settled on the crease so MI still have fair chances as long as he is there. Also Pollard is still to come. KKR are favorite at the moment but MI have 2 to 3 overs to prove that they can win.
968  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Horse Racing and Gambling on it should be banned on: May 09, 2022, 10:25:01 AM

Horse racing is an intense game, mostly of the gamblers who give bets are male adults, there's a lot of viewing and betting site in my country they really love horse racing, but it should be stop they need to consider the health of horses as well. They can choose other gambling activities that will not harm other animals, this game can be played by rich or not so rich that's why many people like it.

Animal abuse is a reality and is going on since man start breathing on this world. It's not only horse racing where this abuse is going on, see what's going on in poultry industry. In my view such debate is useless, since its a big industry involving too much money and money is everything on this earth.
969  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: May 09, 2022, 10:18:19 AM

Hyderabad, Delhi and Punjab have scored 10 points in 11 matches. However, they are 4 points behind fourth-ranked Bangalore. However, if they can play well in the upcoming matches, they will be able to qualify for the next round. However, Hyderabad is still in a very bad position after losing the last 4 matches. I think if Delhi performs a little regularly, they will be able to go to the next round.
Kolkata and Mumbai will probably not qualify for the next round. However, the match will be competitive. Because Mumbai's performance in the last two matches was quite good.

Apart from KKR and MI, CSK may also not qualify for the next round. Although CSK performance has gone up since dohni took over captaincy. IMO, RR and RCB are clear for next round along with GT and LSK. SRH lost the track after there 4 consecutive otherwise they had easily make it for the next round.
970  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: May 08, 2022, 06:49:59 PM

Despite having such an experienced batting lineup in Delhi, they lost all their wickets for just 117 runs. I would say it's a shame. However, for the opening, Delhi has not yet found a worthy partner for Warner. Delhi's opening pairing is not lasting long. I think Delhi is very much dependent on Warner and Marsh. If these two players do not play well, it will be difficult for Delhi to win.

You are right in saying that Delhi game is mostly on Warner and today Warner didn't clicked that's why DC collapsed on 117. But still DC is in the run for next round as they are standing at number 5. Meanwhile CSK looking to improve there stats for IPL 2022, they are out but they want a graceful exit.
971  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cricket match prediction discussions on: May 08, 2022, 06:46:23 PM

The reason why I am in favor of cricket's inclusion in Olympics is because being an Olympic sport would mean that countries such as China and Russia will allot more government funds to local cricket bodies. Right now, lower ranking (i.e those with native players) associate nations receive around $10,000 in annual funds from the ICC. The availability of funds can increase by 20x or 40x, if cricket becomes an Olympic sport. And I don't have any issue if Olympic cricket becomes a U-23 tournament. Even U-19 is fine with me.

BCCI don't want big powers like China to join in since that will take authority away from bcci. Cricket is decade old game and till date it's not included in Olympics nor there are any chances of its inclusion. We have to admit that cricket as a sports failed to fine its way outside South Asia and few other countries.

]Shahid Afridi is looking at a career in politics and he knows he needs to throw grey on everyone and he is doing that to get some political mileage. The other day is saw him drilling Danish Kaneria for the comments he made. I am not too inclined on what he is doing in his private life and now with his entry into politics you will hear more absurd things from him and it is better not to discuss these things here  Wink.

Right now he is just trying to be part of ruling party in Pakistan but no one has yet accepted him or given him an option to join there party. Sports and politics are two different thing and you need to be very strong if you want to be a successful politician. Afridi should focus on cricket and no need to get involved in politics.
973  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [MASS] Decentralized HARD DRIVE mining cryptocurrency | PoC | Low Energy cost on: May 08, 2022, 11:03:09 AM
I think MASS has done his job and is now on the road of silence. There is no guarantee whether it will wake up or not but surely the way market is behaving, it looks very hard that it will go up in near future. There are also rumors that project is abandon by its team , since there is no update about the project.
974  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: MASS is profitable and Cheap to mine ... Here is why? on: May 08, 2022, 10:54:19 AM
MASS may be cheap to mine but at current price its best to buy MASS from exchanges rather then wasting your time in mining MASS. See rate of MASS for instance,  its $0.03512 today and you cant expect that from mining. Its a thing good for future investment not for short term, keep this thing in your mind while investing in MASS.
975  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: BOOM - First Self-Burning Cryptocurrency Based on Smart Contract on: May 08, 2022, 10:48:00 AM
Seems like BOOM is taking break now after few down word spikes. Whats interesting is that data of 24 hrs volume and volume/ market cap is not available on CMC anymore. But still if anyone thinks that BOOM has chance to go up then this is the right time to invest in this coin. Rest do share your opinion about this coin.

The way BOOM was going it was very much expected that it will stall at some point and this is the point now. Now those who have invested in BOOM need not to panic rather just show some patient. There is notthing to worry if you have bought this coin in recent one month or two. Market is bearish and so are alts.
976  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ODI cricket and general cricketing discussion [self - mod] on: May 08, 2022, 10:14:18 AM
Can you explain what this double wicket tournament is all about, i was not able to find any article regarding this. I really liked the T20 version, if not i doubt i would be watching Cricket as i considered it as a long format to have the patience to watch the matches earlier but the introduction of T20 and the advent of cryptocurrency based gambling sites helped in learning the game. I am not a fan of T10 because it is hard to predict, even T20 is hard to predict and hence i doubt i will be watching anything that is shorter than T20.

Double wicket was introduced in 90s by PCB. Each team has only 2 players and only they bat and bowl, for fielding each team has 9 players apart from 2 players of team. If a player gets out, minus ten runs were added to score. It was very interesting and no more organized by PCB. You can see these matches on youtube

Its sunday and luckily we have two IPL games scheduled for today. Right now the game is in progress between Royal Challengers Bangalore and Sunrisers Hyderabad. RCB is batting first and as expected Virat Kohli is gone on the very first ball of the match. Man there is something seriously wrong with Kohli and that need to be fixed urgently.
978  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [CATA]Flow | NFT | Middleware | Decentralized Cloud Storage on: May 07, 2022, 06:45:00 PM
This project is working to build a cloud platform that is very unique, I have rarely seen a project that wants to develop the cloud storage industry in cryptocurrency. In addition, this project will also develop their NFT, it can be seen from their twitter, but the community that CATA has currently is very small, even information on CATA token data cannot be found on sites such as Coinmarketcap and Coinecko, the twitter community is quite small and does not have a telegram group. , how do you develop your project with very little community support.

CATA has done one good thing that they have chosen the right aim of there project i.e. developing a decentralized storage for NFTs. You pointed out correctly that not much info is available about this coin on CMC and there twitter page is also not very active. May be they are in pre-launch era where they are making team or gathering required data.
979  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Horse Racing and Gambling on it should be banned on: May 07, 2022, 03:01:05 PM
Please do enlighten us that what benefit horse racing or any other animal racing provides. So far we have only seen bad aspects of that. AFAIK, nobody is interested in horse racing as a sports its only for gambling. Better focus on human racing, let animals live there lives.

You are one-sided based on your statement.

People have different views about horse racing in general and you can't just say to others that "focus on human racing" and let animals live.

You are disrespecting horse enthusiasts.

We should balance our opinions here regardless if you are a hardcore animal lover or not. Horse racing is regulated and I agree with some statements that it needs strict regulations instead of banning it totally as it won't happen in reality.

Everything in this world has both positive and negative aspects. There is nothing in world that has only positive aspect or only negative aspects. Likewise horse racing has both aspects. I agree that there are many enthusiastic of horse racing just like we have for football or rugby. Just place some strict regulations if there is some kind of animal abuse going on.

This is all happening because of yellow journalism and most of the time we can see that a lot of that channel list are not even educated and they really don't know how to talk with people. they need to be educated and one simple thing they should understand is if you give respect you will get respect.

Shahid Afridi is a great man even outside the cricket field and the politics right now is just dirty people playing dirty games. I Wonder If a man like Shahid Afridi has a perfect place in politics at this time and era in the world.

Thanks to YouTube channels, now everyone who has mobile phone and Mike in his hand consider himself a journalist. There is no norm for such people and they are mostly making there way to news channels.
Shahid Afridi should remain away from politics and continue to do his work as philanthropist. Already he is trolled so much on social media for supporting current government and criticising Imran Khan.
