a fact is a fact - I'm just looking out for my pool members...
TY for that J

this is going to take how much longer? 1~2 hours?

Someone in the shoutbox wants to know.....can he set his miner to the syscoin pool before you switch it on so he can go to bed? Good question, will the pool accept his hash when you switch it on? I know until then its just going into space. Thanks,

Two wrongs don't make a right....BUT.. It was totally wrong to call someone else's work a "POS." I would probably react the same way.
I don't think of ACG as a god, but a contributing member of this community that does things that I can't do. Skills and time are what folks like him bring here. Now everyone involved has hurt feelings, a chip on their shoulder and we have this energy spent on unconstructive things.
There was a right way and a wrong way soco. IMO you did it wrong. That half apology then tooting your own horn about "see how easy it is".... trying to justify your earlier rude comments gains nothing with me. This is my first and only comment. We're all bigger than this.

I've never experienced a coin and its wallet being hard forked. Although, it went smooth as glass, I can only imagine what went on behind the scenes. pointed my4 Blizzard asics to Redd a P2Pool (dang if they are going PoSV this Saturday) and switch the 4 GPU's already mining pyra coin (x11) right over to Karma X11 and never missed a lick. Sure, the hash rate graphs had to get sorted out and the servers block explorer had to catch up, but the Pool was hashing and sending Karma to the wallet. By this afternoon its all like Karma never experienced a major overhaul. It's been a great day mining Karma X11. Only thing missing is those 60~90MHs Asics. Meh! Thanks again altcoingood and the rest of the Karma Team. Two Thumbs.

So as i donīt understand how to use the p2p pool i will point my lone warrior towards xhash! .......
Nothing could be easier than using P2Pool. point your miner to - stratum+tcp://p2pool.altcoin.dk:9435use your karma receive address as your user and "x" as your password....or anything for that matter. BOOM! no having to sign up, create worker or all that. Coin falls regular into your wallet. NOTHING could be easier. Have two rigs ? Use different addresses to see what they each mine.

Cool runnin' Mon on P2Pool....temps on gPU's way down. lovin' this X11.
Huge thanks to the Karma Team. Well done.

Just edited my post, never had to synch a new one with this much coin! All good.
|
|
|
installing new wallet in prep for fork. I thought copy and paste current wallet.dat saved a long resynch. But in the new wallet it started from 24 weeks behind with about 11,000,000 less karma. Good thing I copied old wallet roaming file completely. Or will this all synch up and be good?
edit: sorry for this post. I should have watched it do its thing before jumping the gun. getting to the end of synch and all my karma chickens are home.
Amazing job on this, love the look and what an earlier poster mentioned about the spaces instead of commas. Much easier on an old man's eyes.

altcoingood. Is your p2pool all set to mine X11 ?
yes i have x11-stratums running in test here. after block 254,999 and before block 255,000 i will switch from scrypt to x11. automagically. _minimal_ downtime both mpos and p2pool are ready with backup stratums on both (backup stratums in another datacenter than primary stratums). i can handle up to 16,000 clients on the current setup. doing good is good. Just so i properly understand, the address and port info will reamin the same stratum+tcp://p2pool.altcoin.dk:9435? Yes, that is correctly understood Just a note....the mining guide examples that's published on Reddit currently says it's port9430 in several places. Could lead to some confusion for new Karma miners. Got my asics running on the P2pool getting the last bit of good scrypt Karma, will switch them to another scrypt coin at block 254,800~254850. The 4- GPU rig is already mining X11 ( got a handle on settings a few days ago, getting 1.2 MH each on H7850 Twin Frozers and cool running @52~56 degrees C) on a Pyramid coin pool. All address for P2Pool is in config and ready to switch on. Her's to you guys! Great Work!

Thanks....more great info spread about Karma.

Balance sent directed at post above, balance sent to karmafund after the test. all these quote boxes hurt my old tired eyes...lol

Ok guys, we have now 63% of our 4mil goal funded. I guess it will be soon more expensive to buy some Karma for charity. Give some to our charity before the hoarding starts http://karmafund.meSent 250K as a test....direct from mintpal. oh and I have an idea....move the putin fund over. or use it for other causes worth something....he can buy his own dang ticket.

Thank you jonnyb. Learn something everyday, but this is still going on. why do some p2pools have stratum in address, are they not true p2pools? (this particular pool does not)

I'm a little puzzled by this. I mined for about 24 hours on a true p2pool. About 10:00 this morning, I switched to another coin. At first since there were coins in my wallet that needed confirm I didn't pay a lot of attention. Then I noticed the wallet is still receiving coins and its now after 4:00pm.
I checked the pool and my wallet address shows no hash. I'm running 4 Zeus Blizzards and was hitting over 5Mhs, almost a quarter of the pools rate. Is this some sort of residual reward coming in or is my miner rig still hooked up and I can't se it ? btw the amount of coins is still good coming in, like I never left. Weird.

Thanks longandshort.... I have always solo mined with cgminer 3.7.2 and it didn't require that command in the batch file. Apparently, as you stated its there in the cg miner 4.3.5 version. Added it with the wallet address for the scrypt coin I'm mining. CG MIner loaded and started "mining to a valid address." Thank you for the info, I never knew that about the older days. Running my 4 gpu solo on the same coin and it detects network difficulty and network blocks. It also shows hashrate. No accepted work as a block hasn't been found yet. The asic has just shown network difficulty (same as gpu miner), is just slowly increasing block height, no hashrate and no network block detected.....or is the block height the block being detected, the rate seems about right. Duh. No hashrate at all though on top lines....just the 328Mhz the zeus runs. update: Proof a "Blind Hog" finds an acorn now and then....the gpu miner just found a block with 1/4 of the asics rig hashrate. They're soloing the same coin.

Take back the happy part, now after paying Zoom hash 98.00 a piece the things are now 59.00 a piece. Guess its the nature of the business. They've been working fine.
Only thing is trying to solo mine a scrypt coin with cgminer 4.3.5 (what they're made for right?) it tells me my address (the usuall 127.0.0.1) isn't a BtC address and won't start up. P2Pools and regular pools no problem.

Bought 1 zeus blizzard came Monday last week, dinked around with it......the other three came in last Thursday. Hooked them up one by one. Experimented with the zeus cgminer variant, (blah) ....BFG miner did ok, but cgminer 4.3.5 works the best. Been running a week now and hashing rated speed, few rejects (<1%) and no problems. Next project will be getting rid of 4 power supplies. I'm happy.
