The best way for a steady income is to own a small or intermediate company, offering the service and having few or more clients so you will have to work most of the time and deliver the service/product.
On the cryptocurrency world is good to a have an exchange, a forum or games.
This is one of the most relax and coolest ways of advice to have a steady income. I would also like to point out that there are two kinds of income: active and passive income. Active income are income from your job or works you actively participate with your skills and time. Passive income however, is income that comes to you without any actions from you like earnings from rent of your real properties, royalties from your songs and books, and the like. I should say we focus of creating passive income for us.

The passive income can only be achieved if you really work hard actively and spend lots of time on something.
But in the crypto world, it's hard to see earning something passively as those services gets closed fast within few months or few years.

If you are talking about signature campaign then I don't think that it will get closed, in fact if one gets closed we will be finding other campaign from where we can earn bitcoins.

I didn't mean that, check a post before my last post, I was talking about investing in startups and companies that are working already on bitcoin.
Here are included cloud mining companies, exchanges like coinbase, sprectocoin etc which offer also bitcoin debit card but mos of them get closed after a while.

963  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why is Amazon.com still resisting the use of BTC for payment? on: August 13, 2016, 03:12:11 PM
Is it a business reason? Or perhaps the complexity of bitcoin accounting creating potential issues?

What do you think?

Bitcoin price isn't stable and this may be one of the reason because if the price was $650 and suddenly within few hours drops to 500 or lower (which already happened this week) then where is the profit for the amazon?
We are talking for millions of dollars which amazon could risk but could also profit if the bitcoin price increases.

Exactly! Partially I understand amazon in that that they do not want to risk but as we all know only those who take risks win big in the end. But yeah, you might lose in the end too, so ... It's up to them. But I think those who will accept risks associated with Bitcoin will be in profit in the long run.

Another reason for this is that amazon should hire new people that have knowledge about cryptocurrencies and bitcoin, how the blockchain works, how to troubleshoot with their clients because people will get sucks making payments through bitcoin.

What kind of game are you interested in? There are many question when it comes to develop a game from scratch!
For example will it be 2D or 3D, FPS, then will it be for web (HTML5/Unity) or it is needed to be delivered for mobile platforms iOS/Android or for PC!

Hello All,

What you think is the best investment to gain steady income in btc without actively doing anything?
So no trading/gambling/loaning etc.

Steady income more likely to be 'small & secure' than 'big & risky'.

Thanks,
BR Oinas

“Nobody will upload to any other cloud after Megaupload’s Bitcache goes live. 100 million Bitcache wallets,” he said this morning.

What is Bitcache wallet? I haven't heard before about this term and maybe lots of us don't know what is and what are the differences from a normal bitcoin wallet.
The news about Megaupload to be alive again on the scene is good and really want to see whats innovative this time and how bitcoin can be used there.
968  Other / Off-topic / Re: Will you accept bitcoin as your salary? on: August 07, 2016, 09:25:29 PM
In Europe there is a hot new pertaining to a company whose going to introduce paying bitcoins to their employees. But given the instability of the bitcoins market value is it an advantage for the employees or an disadvantage. In my opinion this kind of payment for salary is not yet beneficial to employees not until bitcoins price has become stabled. Though if bitcoin will start to increase its monetary value it can be advantageuos but if not then it is a peril to the employees. So what do you think, what is your opinion on this matter?

Saying the truth it is risky to receive the salary on bitcoin because the bitcoin price is not as stable that we can risk the salary to receive in bitcoin.
If I would spend them (and have where to spend through bitcoin) then it would be great, but what I have to do is to convert on fiat (paying lots of fees) and then use the money.
969  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Bitcoin debit card on: August 07, 2016, 09:09:00 PM
I made a purchase online in german shop with usd card.
Question us can i cancel this fee by cancelling my order?

I don't think that you cancel this but better send a ticket to the ecoin support, sadly that it is Sunday and they may not respond quickly and send a PM to gosha@e-coin.
Since you purchased in EUR from the USD card then you have paid 3% on Foreign Transaction Fee.
970  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Bitcoin debit card on: August 07, 2016, 08:40:34 PM
wtf i was robbed by e-coin for 30bux today:

if i cancel my purchase would this transaction fee be cancelled?

I don't think that you got robbed by e-coin but explain us the situation that you made this transaction or withdraw.
Have you used the bitcoin debit card outside or on another currency because the Foreign Transaction Fee are 3% + $3.50 which is equal to ~$30.

Like in the Topic said.

How would u guys explain Bitcoin to your Girlfriend!

cheers

I would explain bitcoin same as to someone else, but if she knows about computers, has knowledge about computer science then it is easier to explain.
Otherwise you should introduce her to digital world how they works, what are the advantages and disadvantages and end to the bitcoin currency.
974  Economy / Economics / Re: I'm not gonna sell any coin. on: August 07, 2016, 05:23:19 PM
As you see, the Bitcoin is crashing and trying to break a new low until it stop.
But I won't sell any Bitcoin at this time, I believe it will rise again as it always do. Smiley

Bitcoin price recently has been crashed and saying the truth I ddidn't sold a satoshi when the price was $700+.
So neither will sell now where the price is $550+, it's good to see that the price is recovering and the line on the graph is going higher.
current prices began to go up toward $ 600. I hope the price can go up to $ 650 or $ 700 at least touch. so that I could sell my bitcoin lol
I've waited a long time to sell

I waited long too but I didn;t have any plan to sell at $700+ because I thought and believed that the bitcoin price can reach $1k+ soon and fast as it was last time.
At The end of this year I believe the bitcoin price will go back to $700 and with a potential of four digits.

I think the price of $1k will be achieved at the end of the year and not before that, so I am holding my coins to sell when I see the price of $1k or above.

We don;t know that so we can't say for sure what will happen but let's see what will happen with those stolen bitcoin that were hacked recently on btec, cryptsy, now bitfinex and the price will get higher of course if more and more people like and enjoy investing and spending bitcoins.
975  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Bitfinex: 36.5% Haircuts for all! on: August 07, 2016, 05:21:34 PM
When bter was hacked on February 2015 and the hackers or their employees hacked the cold storage and stole the bitcoins then only those users that had bitcoins on their balance were affected by more than 90% which still haven't paid a penny for a year.

One one side it is good that they cut from all users (by not affecting only a small group) but also its not good for those that had fiat or othercoins.

I think they will cover the loss very fast and hope they will not act like the bter which paid only a small percentage and still own more than 90% of my bitcoins.
976  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Coinbase is silently tracking how you spend you coins on: August 07, 2016, 04:58:51 PM
They track anyone, not only those that try to gamble with the coins that are in coinbase's addresses.
Even the kickass torrent owner was tracked by coinbase and that's how he was arrested recently.
Because they have zero fee on transaction doesn't mean that is free!
Anyone who is lured by zero fee policy of Xapo or Coinbase or any other online wallet provider are simply shortsighted and greedy individual.
This is what you will bet for not paying that 1 cent fee - lack of anonymity, tracking of your every transaction, invigilation and KYC/AML procedures everywhere.

I was a bit surprised when I heard how exactly coinbase helped in arresting the kickass owner, the zero transaction fee is good for those that make transaction very often and when the total amount of transactions is not big which can help the sender saving a lot on fees.

I don't think they really helped anything, the kickass owner had screwed up a lot, and he had a lot of his bank accounts connected to the site by receiving advertisement payment directly to them.
I think the coinbase account for bitcoin was only used as for receiving donations only not every money transaction like payments.

and even if my speculation of this situation is wrong but I seriously doubt that the zero fee was the reason for using them because he already had made millions of dollars from the site and what is a pathetic btc transaction fee compared to that Cheesy

I think that they helped them because coinbase has the IP of every user and has stats where are these bitcoin coming from and where are their users spending them, so when apple facebook and coinbase merged the power the full details of the kickass owner came up and he got arrested in this way I think.
977  Other / Off-topic / Re: Does sending Bitcoins feel good? on: August 07, 2016, 04:43:31 PM
When sending out some Bitcoins from your wallet, does it feel good? Do you get a nice body high from it?

Well I don't feel good when I send bitcoin because I'm not sure if the other party has received it and until the address is correct.
And when I see that the transaction gets confirmed very fast then I feel good.

979  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can the ones that hacked Bitfinex bitcoins sell them after mixing the coins? on: August 06, 2016, 06:28:23 PM
Hi,

Just wanted to know since most exchanges practically would be aware of this news and would keep track of the movement of these coins. Is it possible for those who hacked the Bitfinex Bitcoins, be able to mix/tumble them either with other cryptocurrencies or online mixing services and then short them?

Do you think it's truly untraceable then?

I think they can but not all at once, because the total amount of bitcoin that was hacked is around 120,000BTC then the entire bitcoin mixers doesnt have this amount at least to mix the half or less of total coins.
At least cryptomixer has more than 2,000BTC + others that mix the coins there so I think it's impossible to mix 120,000BTC with this small amount.
980  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How can exchanges find out Bitfinex funds if "hacker" runs them throught mixers? on: August 06, 2016, 06:21:14 PM
If a mixer receives coins that are from a known theft, as far as I know they remain neutral to the whole thing and limit themselves to do their job (mix the coins). There are certain sites like Helix that as far as I know are fully automatized, run on a onion tor website and deliver clean coins, after that I would say it's impossible to find, so he would proceed to sell in exchanges. Of course if he isn't a total idiot, he will not dump and will sell slowly so he doesn't get caught.

So in this situation... how can they find them? I wish they find them and people can recover funds but what if he runs coins through mixers?

Until now I haven't seen any news that an exchange has found stolen bitcoins when a user deposited on their exchange addresses, so I don't have any idea how would they find bitfinex stolen bitcoin, maybe after a while they can find but the hacker can exchange and withdraw them in less than a minute!!

they can tag the known addresses with dirty bitcoin on them in their code (it is a simple process) and so if they receive any funds from those knows addresses the exchange blocks the account immediately.

but the question here is about using a mixer, and i think if it is used in smaller amounts and used correctly then it can be possible to become untraceable.

Then let's imagine this scenario: If a hacker transfer the funds from A to B and then send from B to exchange address(C) then the exchange will not be able detect that the funds are from those stolen?
I'm not sure how they can detect but if it is only for direct payments from dirty addresses marked as to known dirty address then this is not secure to find the hackers.
