961  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Coinsbee.com - Buy gift cards with about 50 crypto currencies! on: March 19, 2023, 12:30:20 PM
-snip-
Is back in Stock. If everythig works mastercard prepaid cards should be back in 1-2 weeks.

Does myprepaidcenter have different cards for each region? I'm curious because Bitrefill has started to sell these cards as well, but unlike yours, they're only available for U.S citizens. KYC is not forced, but you can't buy it or redeem it from outside the U.S (VPNs don't work).
962  Local / العربية (Arabic) / Re: بوت للأخبار on: March 19, 2023, 11:51:17 AM

963  Local / العربية (Arabic) / Re: منصة رين و تارابوت on: March 19, 2023, 08:07:57 AM

I'm not sure if you can buy from Binance directly, since a few banks already started restricting people from buying crypto[1]

But you should be fine using their P2P platform. Most offers seem to have the rates you're looking for[2]

965  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: NEED HELP BTC UNCONFIRMED!!!!! on: March 18, 2023, 06:44:33 PM
in electrum its showing as confirmed with green check mark 17 confirmation status on electrum i see red circle dot filled in red if i click on it there stands wallet balance unconfirmed so i dont understand it.

It sounds like your wallet is not synced with electrum servers properly. Try to click on the red circle, and connect to another server by right-clicking and selecting "Use as server".
966  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: NEED HELP BTC UNCONFIRMED!!!!! on: March 18, 2023, 06:36:37 PM
I'm not sure I understand what's the problem. If you can see that the transaction is confirmed and has 16 confirmations already, where does it show as "unconfirmed"? It would be helpful if you can provide a screenshot.
967  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Blockchain Transactions Per Second on: March 18, 2023, 05:13:58 PM
We already have the lightning network, which should be capable of handling way more transactions than Visa does:

968  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: My wallet has been hacked. What to do? on: March 17, 2023, 05:03:35 PM
Do you know how it happened? There's sadly nothing you can do now that the transaction is confirmed but you can try and follow the transaction, and see if it ever landed in a centralized exchange's address (one that requires KYC) using walletexplorer.com if it does, contact law enforcement but unless the hacker is from the same country as you, I don't think that would help much.
969  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Is Dubai a Bitcoin Friendly City? on: March 17, 2023, 04:27:37 PM
Thanks, @OmegaStarScream for your brief reply. Thanks, @NotATether for giving me an idea of Dubai in a local way, and yes accommodation & transport is already taken care of. I won't be paying a single penny for the same. I also would like to ask both of you how much minimum AED per month is good if accommodation and transport are not an issue to live a good life in Dubai according to you guys.

I suggest you look at Numbeo. It should give you a good idea about the cost of living there.

Also, I forgot to mention that privacy coins have been recently banned[1].

970  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: [Telegram-Bot] BitnewsNotifier on: March 17, 2023, 01:51:12 PM
I subscribed to the bot, it works great, but the problem that I encountered is that it contains a lot of news that I am not able to read all of it because it takes a long time.
I've only been subscribed for 2 days and there are about 100 new unread posts. This is a lot, although I browsed some news.

Yes. I agree, the user experience can be better, and I think one solution would be to not send more than one article per subject.

Is there an option to customize the type of news you are looking for, such as Bitcoin or altcoins, and its sources (add new,) or is it just a bot-powered channel?
I do not use Telegram groups, so I do not have knowledge of how they work, but if you can customize the channels, I will download/try it.

At the moment, it's just a bot-powered channel so there's no way to customize anything, everyone is getting the same news. The first suggestion should be achievable, as most of these sites/articles have tags. Allowing users to add new sources, however, may be difficult to achieve especially if I want to summarize their articles.
971  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: [Discussion] Taro: A new protocol for multi-asset Bitcoin and Lightning on: March 17, 2023, 08:26:44 AM
Bad news for the project. It looks like they're not going to be able to develop the project any further or even announce the next stage of the protocol until this is sorted out:

Lightning Labs’ Taro Project Faces Halt as Judge Issues Temporary Injunction for Trademark Infringement
-snip-
On Wednesday, Judge William H. Orrick issued a temporary injunction forcing Lightning Labs to halt further development of Taro until the project has been sufficiently rebranded. In its complaint, Tari argued that it and Lightning “compete in the same digital blockchain ecosystem, provide similar, and in some instances identical, goods and services, market to similar developers and users, and appear on the same blockchain platforms.”

972  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Sent BTC but when I sent to my address it made two transactions then disappeared on: March 17, 2023, 06:24:49 AM
What do you mean there would have been a fee?

For me it looks like your wallet got hacked. Someone probably have access to your wallet file or seed. Kraken can't have anything to do with it because like you said, you received the funds, which then got sent elsewhere.
973  Local / العربية (Arabic) / منصة رين و تارابوت on: March 16, 2023, 05:42:59 PM

974  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Exchanging large amounts of BTC for FIAT on: March 16, 2023, 03:01:05 PM
You said it yourself 'exchanges are unpredictable' so no one could really tell you what to expect here but personally, I wouldn't go with Binance, not when dealing with fiat anyway. You should look into Coinbase.

But I think what you should be more concerned about here, is the bank you're going to deal with. You probably have a higher risk with them, than you do with an exchange because you're converting to fiat.
975  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Many adresses for many coins. Building exchange on: March 16, 2023, 02:48:33 PM
The user will have a uniqe order-id, so i was thinking if i could log that, plus his reciving adress and the amount he sent.
Then i would get notification when his coins arrive to my binance account and then just send him back 5% less ETH if i charged a 5% fee.

But he still would not get any notification that i have recived his coins while he is waiting or me to complete the exchange.

I like you 1-4 description, thats exactly how i want it to work.
Do i need a node for each coin, like if i have 50 different coins, do i need a node for each one?
And what could that cost?

You should first confirm if Binance allows generating multiple addresses but as I said, I don't believe they do and even if they did, you will probably need to deal with the API limits as well, which doesn't help either.

The approach is correct though.
You create an address for the user and link it with the OrderID -> Wait until the address receives a transaction -> check for the amount -> wait for a few confirmations -> notify the user.

And yes, you would need different nodes for different coins. But if you're going to deal mainly with evm compatible networks then I would suggest you look into Alchemy, Infura, and Quicknode. They all have free tiers (there are limits on how many requests you can make, but it's still good) so maybe you can start with that at first and then upgrade.

As for your comment above, then yes, an instant exchange like Sideshift may be easier to develop and maintain compared to a CEX, but you should still take security seriously.

978  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Many adresses for many coins. Building exchange on: March 15, 2023, 04:23:54 PM
AFAIK, there's no way to generate a new address using Binance API.

What you need to do is run your own node, and communicate with it.

1. A user chooses the trading pairs.
2. You generate a bitcoin address for him.
3. Wait for a certain number of confirmations.
4. Send him the money.

I understand what you're trying to do, and one solution would be to once you're done with #3, you transfer the funds directly to Binance, and from there, you can exchange the funds and withdraw them however, I don't think this is the best solution because it will result into a very bad experience (since the user has to wait more than he should).

It's better to have some liquidity aside on Binance at first if this is how you want to do it and instead of sending each transaction you receive directly to Binance, you wait until you get a few, then batch everything to Binance. This should also save you some fees.
979  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Tipping more than one person with Bitcoin possible? on: March 15, 2023, 03:44:57 PM
Yes, it's possible to do that. I'm not sure which wallet you're using, but you can use Electrum for that.

Inside the "Pay to" field, use the following format:

Code:
address_1, amount_1
address_2, amount_2
address_3, amount_3

You will notice that the "amount" field is summing up all the amounts you're entering.
980  Economy / Invites & Accounts / [WTS] Reddit account on: March 15, 2023, 03:43:40 PM
I'm selling a Reddit account with 12K Karma. It's mostly active in different crypto subreddits.

The account has a couple of avatars but I no longer remember the vault's password so they're kinda useless, unless you can find a way to crack the password. They're probably worth about 30-40$ but not so sure, I haven't checked for a while.
