There is no Economic justification to compete with Open Bazaar, better spend money and time on integration with their system which will be main target of all other coins with anonymous solutions. Everything else will be failed investment, or we can call it experimental investment.
Exactly, use CLOAK for what it is intended to be used for, anonymity. Focus should always be on improving the coin and marketing it to real markets and venders.

ARK exchanges are too small. How can the team not contact several exchanges on the ARK? None of the exchanges in China has traded ARK.
It's more up to you and, the exchanges themselves. If you want ARK on a particular exchange, start a campaign to get it there. Some exchanges accept BTC directly and some have a voting system which may or may not cost per vote. And some (POLO) don't publicly accept anything, they have their own reasons for adding a project. Either way, start a campaign if you want it to happen.

Some help if possible.... I setup the new wallet a couple days ago with the new seed. I approved the amount and it showed pending so I shut it down at that point.
I loaded it back up today earlier and it's still showing pending. I see the Rebroadcast or Reattach options. I don't just want to start clicking things so I really need to know what is the best method to get the balance to show up.
Do I select a new node and then click one of these options?
Reattach is your choice. Do it every 30 min until one of the pending transactions gets confirmed. Ok... I've done the Reattach function and it ran for about 5 mins until it said Reattach Completed So then i just wait for 30 mins or so... If nothing comes through then do the process again? ^ This will be the Achilles Heal of IOTA. Please, consider redesigning the client for ease of use and make it simple enough for new adopters to figure out. I know you have much bigger aspirations then us simple investors/users but, without us, there is little chance of real success. Make the wallet simple.

One word DISSAPOINTED.
Yesterday $CLOAK dropped like hot bananas, a lot of alt coins did, however not like that we went from around 140k to 90k that is nearly 50%.
I hear a lot of talk about $CLOAK going to 200k and above soon, however i think it will take at least 2-3 weeks to even get to 140k again. Just dont see much support for it or people filling up their bags.
What i see looking at the order books is a lot of dumps and i mean A LOT and right now with prices like this i guess people fill up their bags a bit and once we go to 140k again they will ofc sell, this just makes things harder for decent growth.
Drops like these are not healthy not at all, also where are the updates? There is an official roadmap but why are there no dates on it? Usually roadmaps have dates on them so people can prepare and know how things are going.
Haven't been in the markets very long huh? 2 to 3 weeks, really, that long? The long term trend is up and that's what really matters. Patience is certainly a virtue, just wait it out. If you looking for a "quick buzz", this might not be the coin for you...

What an incredible bunch of bullshit! I couldn't even force myself to read the whole thing. It's so sad that this kind of journalistic garbage is ever published. And, look at the inbred morons who responded to it with comments supporting the garbage piled upon them. I'm hoping people are smart enough to dismiss this crap as an advertisement for traditional gold and silver investing which, is the past, not the future...

Anyone knows a working windows wallet (or knows what is the problem this one) I downloaded from www.emc2.foundation but not started syncing Thanks! Do you have version 0.13.3.0? That's the latest and it works fine. Also, you can download a blockchain snapshot that will speed things up considerable from here: https://www.cryptopia.co.nz/Forum/Thread/1349

the best is that the price will soon be back at the point i will buy more. last time bought at 360sats. and i still not sold these coins.
Perhaps. It's good to see both sides of the value perspective. Lower price, time to buy, higher price time to sell or, at least in my case, hold...

too many shitcoins and scams being pumped right now and is draining money from the real projects. this will eventually change it will just take some time.
That's for sure. Actually, I see the ICO madness draining millions (billions?) from the ALTS as the buying frenzy continues. Don't think there's much to do about it but wait for it to settle down. unfortunately, continued growth in that sector will draw more regulation which can be good, or bad depending which heads are doing the thinking & regulating...

Any news why the ICO platform server is dead ? I had about 8000 KMD out there I asked withdraw 2 months ago never saw anything in my KMD adress... Does this project turn out to be a scam too ? Give us break from the "scam" bullshit ok? Not everything is a scam. This project is run by one the best known developers in crypto with a large team of professionals. As far as I know, the problem with the ICO site is that it was contracted. That can cause problems later on when you want to make significant changes. Like I said, that's my take on it, could be totally off base but, JL777 might have other reasons for rebuilding it as well. Patience is a virtue, just wait till this is settled...

NOOB question: If I buy BTCD today for example, can this be swapped for Komodo going forward when the website is back up and running?
Yes, you can swap until January 2018. The KMD ICO site is undergoing a total rebuild that should be done soon enough to allow anyone holding BTCD ample time to swap. Visit the Komodo (KMD) thread for more up to date information. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1605144.new#new

Yeah I bought my BTCD back in 2014 and haven't been following the events in crypto space too much before this spring so I didn't even know about this Komodo thing before that and when I found out about the swap then the ICO site was already down. So yeah implying that people are idiot because of that is not very smart in my opinion. You cannot expect people to follow every project actively because they bought some other coin back in the days and it evolved in to something else in between.. Anyway I will make the swap when it is possible again.
If you have been holding since 2014 what difference does a few more weeks make until they fix the ico site. You can also still do BTCD -> BTC -> KMD on exchanges Same here. I mined BTCD when it came out and bought some at exchange then -> KMD. I don't mind the wait at all. Same here. Since I'm basically a long term holder in most projects I support, waiting comes easy. Better it be right than quick. But, there are people who complain that it's too bright out when the Sun's up and too dark at night. Can't please everybody...

thanks but im not finding a wallet.dat file - nvm i found it thanks for the advice R-J-F
now that i have this drive connected to my other computer, can i simply click on the mintcoin desktop shortcut and open up the wallet - will it work like that?
It should if the wallet is installed on that drive and the drive has the same letter assigned to it in the new computer. If it was C: it will need to be C: on the new computer along with the original, functioning operating system and you can access it normally. If not, use this procedure on any PC: Download and install the wallet on another computer, let it sync or download the bootstrap and when its all caught up, close it then over write the wallet.dat the new install created with your old one from the other, broken PC. Reopen the wallet and your coins should be there. The wallet.dat file contains all the info needed to access your coins including your password. Do not loose it!

ETH doesnt coming on wallet. What a hell is going on again?
Why are people still using Poloniex with zero support and long waits to deposit and withdrawal. Wonder it as well, are those who still using Poloniex does not notice what is happening with Polo recently. Too many complains made by users but as I can see there are also still some people recommend Poloniex I don't recommend any exchange but, I use Polo almost daily and, honestly, never had a problem with them. Strange isn't it?
