981  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do people still create new ERC20 tokens/projects nowadays? on: October 30, 2019, 09:28:04 AM
I think most IEO projects are using eth smart contract and used erc20 tokens. So I think that is really useful at all dont you think? The only problem with erc20 tokens is this is been used by scammers to fool many investors for a fake ICO investment. Literally project used erc20 tokens but have plan to launch their own chain.

Yes ERC20 tokens are still being created and they will continue to exist in the market and yes there are some ICO using stellarport and some are based on other platforms but ERC20 still remains popular. If they come up with a KYC system for the developers who wants to create a token then it would keep the scammers at the bay because of scammers ERC20 platform has taken a hit on it's reputation because we think ERC20 tokens as scam just because anyone can create a token based on it. It's updo them now to do something to save their reputation.
982  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What Would Happen To Bitcoin If The World Had To Go Into Recession? on: October 30, 2019, 09:17:25 AM
Quote
When it comes to how Bitcoin will be affected by a recession, there are really two possible scenarios: Either Bitcoin thrives or it takes an incredibly hard hit – what will actually happen remains to be seen.

Exactly my thoughts, although I have a feeling that the chances are it will take an incredibly hard hit and the price will plummet.

Of course some will say, "yeah but look what happens to Venezuela and how popular btc is there".. Well, that's because people in other first world countries use their hard earned money to buy it so they keep the price up. If a global recession takes place I think most people will cash out their btc (taking the price down) and turn into other traditional stuff...you know..like gold, silver or even... canned food XD

True,  global recession will not spare any business as everyone will be hit by it right from the vegetable seller to software firms and everyone will cut down on their spending which will cause further crisis and people will not take risk of investing into bitcoin during these uncertain period as a result bitcoin might take a hit and then gradually bounce back.  I don't think we might go through any recession as governments will try their best to stop it due to the losses which incurred in 2008 and they cannot afford to have one more recession.

I feel bitcoin will take a hit if recession happens just like any other industry or domain and there is no remedy to avoid it.
983  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How do we get the best at this moment? on: October 30, 2019, 09:08:01 AM
I always enjoy when BTC goes down even though my assets are also minus, I also invest in bitcoin for the long term but if I think it's time to sell then I will sell it, not too good if bitcoin hold is very long, we also don't know any good or bad news out there about bitcoin, if it's profit then sell your bitcoin right away, it's better to minus a little than minus up to 50%.

But this will still keep you at loss isn't it? I set up auto trade in order to covert my Bitcoin into USDT whenever price drop from a set margin so that I have USDT which I use to buy more bitcoin than I have as the price drops but USDT remains stable.  That's how I make use of the situation by adding more bitcoin and then selling it off during peak. It's not as easy as I have explained it as it breaks our head sometime, but this has worked in my favor many times and I be old suggest all to try this with a lesser amount initially to learn the art.
984  Economy / Economics / Re: What should I convert my money into? on: October 30, 2019, 08:58:59 AM
I have about $1k in local currency (Russian ruble) and I strongly believe that this currency is not the best choice to store money for long periods.

As you might know, there was a Crimea occupation done by Russians about 5 years ago. This was followed by sanctions USA and EU put onto Russia. After that ruble devaluation started. It actually could be stopped by now, at least hindered, as some serious people say, but the Bank of Russia(local fed) doesn't do anything. Though it must and has all resources to.

I suppose I will convert it to either btc or usd, I can't choose what is better... maybe I have to store money %50 in btc and %50 in usd... but I read somewhere there can be another global financial crisis soon... perhaps I could only store it as btc, I know there is a lot of people in Nigeria buying btc because its currency is hyperinflated and majority of population there don't have bank accounts. Well, the policy of Bank of Russia can also lead to unbanked population due to the fact there are lots of banks blocking all "suspicious" transactions without even explaining why it is so "suspicious". Oh and you also should tell where did you get this money and where they go to, otherwise we close your bank account, dear terrorist-money-laundering scum client.

I have reasons to believe Russia will finally turn to its African sibling in several years.

I know this is opinion-related topic and I shouldn't consider your answer as financial advice. Anyway I'd like to see what you think about it and what you would do. Even better, you could reason why you think this way.

I would suggest you to divide it into three parts and invest one part into bitcoin, another into Kuwaiti Dinar as it has the highest value when compared with the over all fiat currency and remains I would suggest to invest into gold.  This is just my personal opinion and in case if you don't wanna invest into Kuwaiti Dinar then go for bitcoin and gold alone,  if you don't wanna take any risk then gold will be better option.
985  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Is it WORTH investing ALTS RIGHT NOW? on: October 30, 2019, 08:48:53 AM
The price increase has suddenly stopped, still, you can buy some other Altcoins for they still continue to rise at a slow movement. You need to be careful about selling them as soon as the price will decrease. Because many speculators think that the sudden price pump was just a bull trap. You need to choose the right coin to buy. If you decide to hold it for long then the time is right to buy now. but choose only the top coins in the market for they are the only coins who have a history of coming back.

It will be a bold move to invest into altcoins as most of us think it will take a huge amount of time for altcoins market to recover and as of now they are dependent of bitcoin's price increase for their growth. It's advisable to stick to coins like Ethereum,  XLM, TRON and other top altcoins as we cannot depend in other coins as of now. I think we need to wait until halving as there are speculation that the value of bitcoin will drop just before halving which will drop the value of altcoins as well and I think that would be the right time to invest in altcoins.

986  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Long Term VS Daily Trading on: October 30, 2019, 08:36:52 AM
Hello everyone, I was introduced to this forum by a friend who advice me to be marketing IEO/ICO companies but I see trading as the only thing I picked interest and willing to spend time here to learn. As a result of this I have dedicated 5 - hours daily to learn about crypto tradibg here in the forum since my research only keep me discouraged and scared due to their negative emphasis. I will like to know the difference between shot term and long term trading and the one that is much profitable. Also the different risk involved in both.

Best Regards

CHRIS

Chris,  as the word suggest you short term investment is bit risky wherein you need to keep yourself updated s with all the news which will affect the crypto market in positive as well as negative way and then choose a coin to invest and cash out when the value shoots up and buy back when it's low. It's literally like buying at low selling at high which has high risk factor if you kiss right opportunity against long term investment wherein you find a coin which has potential to grow multi fold in few years and invest a huge amount and cashing out after few year which it can give you profit and here you need to wait for right moment.
987  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How to start: Daytrading? on: October 30, 2019, 08:28:00 AM
Day trading is not the best thing on the cryptocurrency market. For bitcoin and altcoins, swing trading is best suited, when positions can be moved through the night and work out for several days.
But if it did not convince you, then I advise you to use Neironix - https://neironix.io/cryptocurrency/bitcoin. There is a news feed left where you can conveniently quickly trade

Thanks for sharing this link mate as it will help most of us I mean we are already aware of swing trading especially during these fluctuations but a news feed about the market progress will definitely help us to make an accurate move and moreover day trading is not for beginners ad it requires lot of analysis in order to make the right move which might go wrong if market goes the other way around.
988  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What have you done to promote the Blockchain technology & cryptocurrencies? on: October 30, 2019, 07:40:52 AM
My ways of promoting cryptocurrency and Blockchain technology are through social media and even through my friends. When they learn that I earn from this technology they become interested in crypto. I’m spreading awareness as much as I can, I discuss how it works, it’s features and educate on how to adopt this technology. Well, lastly, their feedback is good about crypto and they were surprised from the start that I know this blockchain technology early than them.

Yes I do similar thing wherein I use Social Media and mainly Linkedin as it has only professional and most of them gets the concept easily and also I spread it through word of mount to my friends and encourage family members to user crypto in case of transferring money across the border as they don't have to go through the money exchange and pay hefty charges. Some of them are really shocked to know something like this even exist.

990  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Do expert traders hide their loses? on: October 30, 2019, 07:20:07 AM
I think they are indeed many who hide their losses because for what losses are reported in public better kept for yourself and used as a lesson because the losses that have occurred can be a very valuable experience.

Indeed. those losses are their motivation to achieve those wins. its not that issue why they hide it. how did us motivate if we seen all the losses that they aim or receive. no matter how difficult it is they still have that dedication to share their wisdom to share all strategies they know. our main thing to do know is to take this opportunity to know more things from the experts especially on trading.  experience in market is not easy so we should make our self always ready.

Yes they simply hide their profits and loss to avoid gaining any attention from unwelcoming people and I have seen users earning millions and losing as well. The person who introduced me to crypto back in 2014 did the same thing he didn't boast about the profits as well as loss. It's better to keep these details confidential and it does not make sense to share these things on a public platform.
991  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Bounties (Altcoins) / Re: Do We Still Have Legit Altcoin Bounties? on: October 30, 2019, 07:10:23 AM
A friend introduced me here with the aim if doing Marketing and promotion for ICO & IEO companies to earn some funds however, my research got me so much discouraged as I noticed most of the ICO projects I intend to work with as planned are scam. As a result of this incident I have spent all my time here earning nothing at the moment though I have picked interest on trading. It will be my pleasure if anyone can actually tell me the means or platform where I can get real and legit project to work with. I can work perfectly as Community Manager, Ambassador, Marketing and Promotion etc.

It's difficult to find a legit bounty nowadays after a depressing year wherein most of the bounties were scam and there were few genuine projects which got failed as well. It's better to focus on some other domain apart from expecting anything by being a bounty hunter or managing bounties, because even bounty managers don't get paid on scam project and few user who wants to offer free services to build their portfolio provide more convenient for the scam project developers to play around with our time and hard work.
992  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Don't let Margin Trading make you poor! on: October 30, 2019, 07:02:51 AM
in my opinion margin trading in binance is the process of earning money faster but with a very large risk, it is very dangerous for novice traders with minimal assets, the program is suitable for those who are experienced in the field of trading and margin.

Margin trading has worked in my favor as well if we are ready to take risk and there is no better platform than binancendor doing this as even I have been doing this for a while and results have been good but we need to be involves in it on real time basis.
993  Economy / Speculation / Re: Do we still expect a repeat of 2017 ? on: October 30, 2019, 06:52:49 AM
The year 2017 was a golden year for bitcoin wherein it got global attention after the crazy pump in it's value but are we still expecting a repeat of 2017 for the end of 2019 or beginning of 2020 ? Do we have any concrete proof that we will experience bull run apart from the bitcoin halving ? We expected the same last year but ended up in disappointment and will it be wise to expect the same or we can expect a decent pump if not multi fold increase in the value of bitcoin and altcoin ?
I don’t believe in repetition in crypto movements because for me what happen this year will never happen on the following years and same as what happens this year won’t be the same that happen the past year, while I know we need to respect each other’s opinion but this will be my stand.but of course e can have a bullrun today or tomorrow and that’s part of crypto investing

Yes we can have a bull run anytime and I am not meddling my opinion over your opinion but just saying that we can expect bull run not not the similar one which we had in 2017. It will be a great news for everyone if bullrun happens but again we cannot be only dependent on bull run and lose opportunities of getting profited with these fluctuations.
994  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 7 ways China is boosting blockchain on: October 29, 2019, 08:04:48 PM
Xi Jinping has called Blockchain the core technology for Industries.

Read link - https://decrypt.co/10832/7-ways-china-boosting-blockchain-what-it-means-for-bitcoin
China is a big influence on the market and the world economy because of its economic status and how well it manages the whole country. Very powerful that its words and perspectives are very ideal to follow and be influenced at. Because of China's President Xi Jin Ping's announcement and words about blockchain technology being a good technology and a possible adaptation of the country to it, investors invested in blockchain-related stocks which could include bitcoin causing its price boost. How powerful.

Indeed China has big influence over all the market due to it's consumer base and the way it has handled economy but I don't think China adopting blockchain techno;logy will have any many benefits or pump for bitcoin as expected by us and what if Chinese government wants to dominate the world of digital currency just like it does dominates other markets and this digital currency might be a tool for them to attract investors who have invested into cryptocurrency. Only time and further progress will tell us about their intentions.
995  Economy / Speculation / Re: A Rational Price For BTC on: October 29, 2019, 07:54:24 PM
Compiling any formulas for determining the price of bitcoin or any other decentralized cryptocurrency will be deliberately erroneous. Such a formula simply does not exist and cannot exist. The price of a decentralized cryptocurrency completely depends on the ratio of supply and demand in the market. These factors cannot be predictable. The actual price of the cryptocurrency is only the one that exists at the moment. In a moment, the real price for it will already be different.

There were no prediction which were made in last one and half years have even reached closer to how the market has been and it will be foolishness to depend of predictions or analysis because we know very well those days are gone when it used to work but since there are too many big players involved in the bitcoin market we cannot predict how they can alter the demand and supply according to their plan which will affect the entire market and we are small fish trying to get benefited by these fluctuations.
996  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will You Support Or Have You Supported A Coin That Makes A Comeback on: October 29, 2019, 07:41:33 PM
No, no way the developers or those who will adopt the coin must have a lot of bags to sell and they want to make a comeback so they can dump their shares that's been sitting in their wallets, A coin's development should be continuous and none stop, to gain the trust of investors, if there is a paused investor will have second thought and  a coin that is coming back are always had a bad history of leaving their supporters.

Yes there is no way of trusting them again and same thing happened with this project named Athero.io as it was expected to be a good project bu they just absconded after their tokens were launched without distributing the tokens to bounty hunters and investors dumped it as well when the value was zero with no trading volume they did comeback all of a sudden saying they are back and wants to continue the project by sharing the worthless tokens to fool the market and dump some leftover token which they had.
997  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Altcoins to go crazy again once Bitcoin reaches 20k? on: October 29, 2019, 11:55:37 AM
it's very possible, if bitcoin soars, the btc pair bitcoin will increase as well then affect the whole pair, so it will increase very high, on the contrary if the bitcoin falls btc pair will also decrease, therefore I think the increase in bitcoin will have an impact on altcoin as well.

Value of altcoins let it be increase or decrease is completely dependent on the value of bitcoin. So it's pretty obvious that the value of altcoins will go up if the value of bitcoin increases but when bitcoin reached $13k it was short lived and the value of altcoins did not pump as expected except the recovery of ETH.

Let's see how it works this time and I think altcoins need to do something on their own to stop being dependent on bitcoin for further pumps.
998  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Prediction 2020 - 2021 on: October 29, 2019, 08:54:40 AM
There a lot of happening that we don't know 2020-2021 maybe bitcoin can goes up again the price. Maybe bitcoin price can goes up again like the price of 2017. So lets wait that predictions happen.

This year has been bearish and there were few sudden pump in the value and dump as well which make it impossible to predict but I feel that only time will predict how the year 2020-2021 will be for crypto world especially the end of this year and first quarter of 2020 will set a trend of its going to be one more bearish market or we will have good days ahead as the market was bearish at the beginning of this year which continued till now so next 5 months will be crucial to understand or guage the market
999  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Best altcoins for 2020? on: October 29, 2019, 08:44:13 AM
Which would be the best and most preferred altcoins to invest in the year 2020?

It was Ethereum and Ripple for the year 2017 and 2018/2019 had been bearish without any particular altcoins to be preferred we have seen almost all the altcoins going through bloodbath except few exchange tokens like BNB but which will be the most profitable altcoins for 2020? Will it Ethereum again or some other altcoins like litecoin or BCH or Ripple?
1000  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: your opinion about this investment strategy on: October 29, 2019, 08:34:30 AM
Your way of choosing an investment is already very precise, let alone choose several altcoins, indeed in the world of crypto an inveetation strategy is very important in determining the profit. Your way is very simple but it's a crush for others. The point is if you want to invest not only in one altcoin. Choose from several altcoins that have a potential future.

Dividing our investment to route to for multiple altcoins are good but the most important point over her is the potential the altcoins carry as I have made some mistakes and profits as well in the past.  We need to decide the terms of investment and there are some coins like HOLO (HOT) which is very cheap and highly volatile which can be used for day trading as it gives us chance of better return everyday because everyday it fluctuates and there are coins like XLM,  XRP which can be preferred for investment till the bull run and then there are coins like BNB and ETH which can be considered for long term investment. We need to decide the type of investment and choose the coins based on that.

Investing in multiple coin is great idea if we have done enough research because instead of investing in 10 altcoins and gaining profit on 5 we can narrow it down to 5 altcoins and get profit from 3 out of it. This requires a lot of market research and insights.
