981  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Euromillions extraction using latest 1000 blocks hashes in special way on: March 21, 2015, 12:40:15 AM
Technically the latest block finder would still be able to manipulate the hash anyway.
982  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Attack: if I change the genesis block. on: March 19, 2015, 11:09:26 AM
If you changed the time that a block was mined then the difficulty would change and that would make the rest of the blocks invalid unless their mined blocks are above the target difficulty.
This is why it won't work.

I almost thought you were on to something there.
983  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] SpreadCoin | True Decentralization (No Pools) | Testing New Masternodes on: March 19, 2015, 02:17:58 AM
I am going to say this again but very simply... (how to remove pools)

We make it so that block is just a hash and does not relate to a mining address at all.

Then once a miner finds a valid block, we somehow get masternodes to confirm that a specific address mined it. (the miner submits his address to the masternodes with the block data)

This means that when a pool's miners finds a block, the block finder can swap out the pool's address with his address when he submits it to the masternodes. No one will know if he was mining as part of the pool or not because the submitted block has no information that relates it to the pool.
C'mon whats wrong with it this time?

986  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Is there ever going to be another Dogecoin? [poll] on: March 17, 2015, 10:30:56 AM
So, do you guys think another coin will gain as much attention as dogecoin and bring in so many new people?
987  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] SpreadCoin | True Decentralization (No Pools) | Testing New Masternodes on: March 17, 2015, 09:51:07 AM
Updated the links on the SPR pool in case someone wants to mine
Where are the links?? I must have missed it.

Also, I am going to say this again but very simply... (how to remove pools)

Just to let you know, as of yesterday you no longer need to re-enroll. You'll automatically be re-enrolled after you've received your payment. However, if you no longer want to participate in this campaign I'd request that you let me know.

Awesome, thanks. I was a little confused but you cleared it up!

The wallets will be compiled within a few hours and a new Ann should be here any day. So I have a good feeling about this coin.

Basically, we're back to page 22. (same price)
999  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][MOTO] Motocoin on: March 14, 2015, 10:19:42 PM

I need some working nodes, my Motocoin wallet won't connect.
If someone can add some nodes here, it would be great.

Thanks.

Did you do this?

(Windows users may also need to install x86 runtimes from http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=40784 to use this release.)
I'm petty sure you only need that for the game to work.

I'd be happy with that powering the NFC on my phone.

such a bad idea
It'd be good without the $ sign. But then again, it lets people know what it is...
I still think we should take it out.
