981  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2018 NBA Season on: December 19, 2017, 11:50:48 AM
I'll bet on the Celtics to win vs Pacers. The Pacers are on a back to back and they lost the last time they faced the Celtics. It's a 40-60 match since their facing against a team who had a full day rest.

Edit : Adding over 207 on the Hornets match. Knicks are scoring at least 100+ this past few days while the Hornets maintain the scorelines close. I think the total will go 210 or higher. If KP won't play then this will be a low scoring game.
The Celtics won the game but they didn't cover, the pacers had a good run in the 4th quarter but were not able to complete the win.
I won in this game betting on the Pacers over 101.5 live, so lucky they score a lot in the 2nd half of the game, although Celtics are a really good team but we cannot underestimate the Pacers especially when they are playing at home.

Celtics won the game in the first quarter itself (38-21). The margin in the first quarter was so huge that they won the game despite losing three out of the four quarters. Pacers need to wake up from their slumber if they are interested in regaining any of their reputation this season. They are basically a one-man army led by Oladipo.
982  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling addiction. on: December 18, 2017, 06:05:54 PM
There are many ways a decisive gambler that really wants to change and get away his/her addiction. If that gambler know very well that he/she can't control the addiction, that gambler can always seek professional help. The key is he/she must have that decisive and fixed will to change.

And how many will do that? I know a few of my friends who got ruined financially from gambling. Actually their family members tried to get them professional help in the form of counselling. But it was of no use, as these people refused to attend the counselling sessions.
983  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling Excuses on: December 18, 2017, 06:03:11 PM
I don't really think anyone would lend me money to pay off a debt gambling unless they were going to profit more from it than me. Gambling is mainly luck and no sane person would lend you money to solve a debt more than likely from gambling.

Gambling is extremely addictive and intelligent people know it. People normally refrain from giving money to gamblers (who are in deep red), because they know that the chances of a default are very high.
984  Economy / Gambling / Re: Nitrogen $20 withdrawal fee on: December 18, 2017, 06:01:46 PM
There is no point in blaming them. What they can do, when the bitcoin transaction fee is so high? I checked the average fees and the minimum amount required for instant confirmation has increased to around 600 Sat/Byte (all time high?). And it is not just Nitrogen. Have you checked the withdrawal fee at cryptopia? It is close to $40 for a single transaction!!
985  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin to eliminate unemployment. on: December 17, 2017, 09:16:31 AM
Bitcoin is not a magic solution to unemployment. At the most, Bitcoin usage may create a few tens of thousands of jobs as new crypto-exchanges and other Bitcoin based ventures, such as gambling sites open. But the overall effect will be pretty negligible. There are billions of unemployed people in the world. Don't expect Bitcoin to provide employment to all of them.
986  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Fork BitcoinX (BCX) [1:10000] on: December 16, 2017, 12:14:36 PM
Guys, this is really serious. I checked the coinmarketcap website and right now the futures exchange rates are going at around $0.10 per coin. That means that for every Bitcoin we own, we will get $1,000 worth of free coins!!! This is really crazy. How many airdrops are we going to receive? I simply lost count - Bitcoin Cash, Bitcoin Gold, Bitcoin Diamond, Bitcoin Hot, Bitcoin United, Bitcoin Unlimited, Super Bitcoin, Bitcoin Liza and now... Bitcoin X?
987  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why is bitcoin the most popular cryptocurrency? on: December 16, 2017, 12:11:23 PM
It is the first cryptocurrency that battling to the local currency it is the first that struggle a lot just to be popular by now no doubt about its success, though we can't anticipate this because this currency have so much potential no doubt so many alt coin trying hard to copied it.

That is not the sole reason. If that was the case, then Litecoin should be more popular than Ethereum, since the former was invented at least 3 years earlier than the latter. But yes... being the first and "original" crypto can have its own advantages. But one reason why so many people trust BTC is that its inventor (Satoshi) never tried to profit out of his invention.
988  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Somebody just become billionaire with bitcoin, any words? on: December 16, 2017, 12:09:00 PM
Winklevoss brothers invested $11 million when 1 bitcoin is amounted to around $120. An now it soared to over $10,000, that investment could be something.

Roger Ver had around BTC300,000 in his wallet, which could be worth close to $5.5 billion right now (plus another $700 million worth of Bitcoin Cash and Bitcoin Gold). But I am not sure whether he had converted any of his coins to fiat earlier. OK.. leave Roger Ver. Let's look at Satoshi's stash. His 980,000 BTC will be worth around $18 billion!!!!
989  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are you surprise by bitcoin price now? on: December 16, 2017, 12:06:21 PM
who wouldn't be? Look how much it grew. it was 800 USD last year same month and look how much it costs now. almost 18k USD! its truly insane.

It has happened before as well, right? Remember 2013? The exchange rates had risen by 100x back then. On 2013 January, the prices were around $10 per coin. By April, the $100 per coin mark was breached (followed by a sharp correction) and by the end of 2013 Bitcoin had achieved a peak price of $1,230 per coin (in the Mt Gox exchange).
990  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: December 16, 2017, 11:58:26 AM
Inter vs Udinese , for now Inter is the best team in Serie A without any lost and i expect that they will win this game also , i will bet for Inter to win this game with 2+ goals.
Torino vs Napoli , it will be an exciting game to watch , i expect many goals in this game from both teams. I will bet for over 2,5 goals in this game.
AS Roma vs Cagliari , i think that Roma will be the winner in this game . i will bet for AS Roma to win this game.

Normally I don't place bets on football games, but I have waged a few $$$ on the Inter vs Udinese game (not in a BTC-based gambling site). The match is about to begin in about 2 hours from now and I have placed my bets favoring Udinese. My friend have made a bet in the same website favoring Inter. Let's see who emerges as the lucky guy today.
991  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2018 NBA Season on: December 16, 2017, 11:55:22 AM
rockets unstoppable,, capela, ariza and james harden will win this season.. a little bit dissapointed with cavs but anything can happen in playoff  Grin

Yeah.. I saw today's game versus San Antonio Spurs. They really looked unstoppable. With the latest win, they are maintaining a good margin against the second placed Golden State Warriors in the Western Conference. And if I am not wrong, today's win was their 12th consecutive victory. I have never seen a team dominating the NBA like this.
992  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: the house always win???? on: December 16, 2017, 11:50:13 AM
There is none! If you gamble be prepared to lose since it is inevitable that you will experience losses on gambling. You can never always win in gambling, it's statistically impossible to win every game. You will soon realize this, even if you use the martin gale or whatever derivative of it or any elaborate gambling strategy the smartest gambler can devise, there is no way it would win against a casino or gambling game with a house edge.

My strategy is to place the lowest number of bets possible. Because if the number of bets increase, then the probability of winning will be close to (50% minus house advantage). On the other hand, if the number of bets are low, then there are still chances that you may emerge as the lucky guy and walk away with a significant jackpot.
993  Economy / Gambling / Re: Grand Opening ★★★ CryptoPlayer.net ★★★ 🎁 100% Bonus 🎁 on: December 16, 2017, 11:46:48 AM
The first thing that I wanted to say is that you should enable deposits and withdrawals in BCH as well. Right now, you have three currencies - BTC, LTC and ETH. I don't want to transfer my cash using any of these three mediums. Bitcoin fee is too high and it takes ages to get the necessary confirmations. And LTC and ETH are too volatile to use for cash transfer.
994  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🔶 YOLOdice.com 🔶 FAST play/invest, maximum transparency, distributing BTG now on: December 16, 2017, 11:39:33 AM
I love YD's referral program, it's so awesome!  I'm only 1 referral away from 100 referrals!  Woo!
I've also been paid out over 0.80 BTC from referring people (most of it was when BTC was lower in price, though), so that's great!  Thanks Ethan!

Could you please elaborate a bit on how you managed to achieve this? All of these 99 referrals came solely from your signature, or do you have other sources such as social media / blog posts? Also, how much is the average earning per referral? Do they pay a fixed amount per referral or is it according to the amount which is spent on the website? And finally, how much is your earnings from referrals now, as the exchange rates have risen?

996  Economy / Speculation / Re: Unconfirmed Transactions keeping price up?! on: December 10, 2017, 07:09:55 PM
Number of unconfirmed ones is decreasing significantly. It was almost 250k and now it's just above 100k transactions. This is a good sign for bitcoin. I don't think unconfirmed transactions make the price go up.

Even now the fees is quite high. The minimum fee now is going at around 200 Sat/B, which is still about 10x higher than the normal rates (the rates which we had 6 months back). For an average sized transaction, you need to pay around $8 as fee, which is still quite high (although much lower than the $20 per transaction fee which we had a few days back).
997  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin.com CEO Says Futures Will Drive Up Bitcoin Price on: December 10, 2017, 07:03:44 PM
That is my guess as well. Futures trade normally makes a commodity more bullish, although there are plenty of exceptions. And in case of Bitcoin, it gives it a sense of semi-legal status and makes the currency (or asset) more mainstream. Both CBOE and CME are well established exchanges. Traders will trust them, even if they don't have much trust in BTC.
998  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Futures - December 10. Will it Rise or Fall? on: December 10, 2017, 06:58:51 PM
Has it already started trading? Because I checked the CBOE website, and I got this:

http://cfe.cboe.com/cfe-products/xbt-cboe-bitcoin-futures

It is showing an exchange rate of $16,250 per coin, when the average price in the Coinsmarketcap is $15,405.50 and the price according to the CoinDesk index is $15,280.53. It seems to be trading at a premium of around $1,000 per coin (6%).

So the early indications are good.
999  Economy / Economics / Re: Stock market vs. Bitcoin??? on: December 10, 2017, 06:53:58 PM
you should invest in booth to maximize your diversification

I'd say if your portfolio is worth more than $100,000, then diversify it in to 5-6 sectors. Don't limit yourself to just equity and Bitcoin. There are a lot of other options, such as treasury bonds, bullion (gold, platinum, silver.etc), real estate (both residential and agricultural), and bank deposits. You can even think about investing in some of the altcoins.
1000  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin has defeated gold on: December 10, 2017, 06:51:41 PM
Nothing can stop Bitcoin right now as it grows everyday. Those that sold their Bitcoin and lose hope, and those people who didn't believe in Bitcoin, they have much regret because they let the opportunity to pass unto them. Bitcoin is truly worth more than ounces of Gold.

Even I have sold a major part of my Bitcoin stash. And you are right. I used to think about it every day. But now I have realized that I need to carry on, despite those setbacks. I am happy with what I got. Even now, my coin holdings are quite significant when compared to the others. I now believe that I am one of those lucky guys out there.
