Would be great to also get this on coinmarketcap.com. So people can gauge the value more extensively.

Yeah,

it should be done.  Also another sites like coinwarz, world.coin.index. Basic issue. I guess some interesed users even do not know that something like SOIL exsist.

Why not? Ask DevTeam.

Haven't seen a comparable site that's like coinwarz for Dagger-Hashimoto algo coins. That would be a cool idea to compare profits for mining, since miners are the backbone for securing the network. I know that a lot of devs have small resources to almost nothing, but sometimes I think they under-appreciate the miners at times. They risk damaging their equipment, electric costs and more.

I personally think coins suffer when there isn't something backing the value of them, ie. gold, sliver, copper, diamond, soil/manure, oil, a dynamic software/application(non-vaporware), etc..... That's probably why people might not invest when there's no form of solid backing for cryptos, otherwise it's not different than fiat that uses a trust system as the only way to obtain value. This is just my personal opinion and observation.

poloniex necessary to go out there for trading volumes, and many traders. here without a good amount of participants and the price will drop to extremes, and everything will be lost.We are looking for investors. Now not even wanting to buy a product that costs 10 times less than the stated price.

Yeah, we need Poloniex.

Right now, according to suprnova - http://prntscr.com/8uqo5q , we can mine about 1.44 soil/MH per day.
Ethereum - 0.07 eth/MH per day.
Soil mining is about 20 times easier that Ethereum.

Ethereum price is 0.0019 BTC.
So, soil must have price of about 0.0019 / 20 = 0.000095 BTC (let's round that to 0.0001) for its mining to be as profitable as Ethereum's.

I don't know why I've calculated all that Smiley just for curiosity.

Poloniex would be nice.

Quoting for the OP: 'SOIL will focus the delivery of smart contracts to a specific sector of industry, thus building a trusted brand. SOIL will approach the ecological and
agricultural stratum of the commercial world, bridging the gap between cryptocurrency and real-world applications of a progressively automated business sector."

There has to be something that SOIL can be used to that sector of business in the near future, may it be product and/or service. Also, a rough ideas of a possible DAPPS for the commercial usage.

XQN is endanger of being de-listed on Bittrex. Wish I had extra BTC to help, but not currently as I have other things I've invested already.

supernova on who has how many leaves on 85mh day Huh
solo on my 85mh for the last 5 hours 1 block only (((something very sad has become solo, pool zaberat all blocks seem.
ya , you might as well join em, if ya can't beat em" lol

Jump in the pool Smiley

thanks for the advice, but it looks like I will refrain from doing so.I turn off the farm, and forget about the project. All good profit and good luck in the future.

You should be able to get 12 or so blocks per day. Solo always is a risk, some days you can do better than pool and other days pools are more consistent. I'm still solo with 76MHs and getting a block every 2 to 3 hours still. Maybe you might have a latency issue and/or don't have you system clock on the rig syncing often. I use atomic clock app to sync my rig every 15 minutes, plus I don't have to mess with the registry.

http://www.worldtimeserver.com/atomic-clock/

People mostly forget about syncing their clocks, this has more of an effect on solo mining.

but everything went fine, the first day of launch, naryl 180 soil, yesterday came out 128 ground today for 14 hours only 12 soil strange thing is not it ?? the farm is not switched off since the start of production

I started around 10~15 minutes from the start with 76MHs and I currently have 933.571 SOIL.

Can anybody tell me why when I try to connect to supernova through the etherminer it closes automatically?

I have the .bat set to ""bin\ethminer.exe" -G -F stratum+tcp://soil.suprnova.cc:2000 -u Weblogin.Worker -p Worker Password"

Do I have the mining pool settings wrong? I'm using windows 7 64 bit soilcoin mining package with a regular .bat file.

Take off the "bin\"

Edit
And it doesnt use stratum. Use "Http://" instead.
I tried both and they didn't seem to work.

Keep in mind I also did exactly what supernova told me to do on their "Getting Started" tab and tried it with CGminer as well.

What I am mining with now

ethminer -G -F http://soil.suprnova.cc:2000/xxxx.99/15

This works well with 7950's, 7970's had trouble with 7790's

Does the 7790 mine fine? Does it have at least 2GB of vram? That's a requirement for mining with Dagger-Hashimoto algo...
ah ha,,, that may be the issue? as it starts to run (the miner) the command box closes out in a second or 2... will check the ram. May only be a 1GB.

THX!  lyk  Smiley

EDIT: ya 1 Gb.... would that be why they wont run then? hmm, I'm still learning this algo. Just started mining eth a few weeks ago but hadn't used 7790's yet.

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814127726

Yup, 2GB or larger only.

what features of a block explorer do you find necessary above everything else? if a bridge explorer will be built to include more details, what do you find absolutely necessary RIGHT NOW?
Quote
Geez, don't have to get defensive about it. Can't anyone inquire without any bias. lol

On a serious note, only reason I ask about the block explorer is that certain exchanges and coinmarketcap require a real-time one with api calls.

oh i wasnt getting defensive, im genuinely curious what features yourself and other community members feel are necessary in a block explorer. there are so many out there, even for ETH, and each has its own "feel". SOILs explorer is pretty much bare bones. it does its job, but not much more... we want to have the transaction explorer implemented, that much is certain, and a priority in the block explorer...

ive seen so many explorers with SO DAMN MUCH information on them, it gets overwhelming and confusing. then theres the PRETTY ones with nice graphics but... (shrugs)... ive always been of the school that simpler is better, less moving parts, etc. but thats just me. coinmarketcap is probably the biggest reason id like to see a rolling minted coins count on the explorer. thats usually the first page i open in the morning. (gotta check on how my treasured dobbscoins are doing! ive been a SubGenius for 25 years, and i buy up BOB as often as can, or remember) so itd be nice to see and monitor how SOIL is doing with a format im utterly familiar with.

we are looking very seriously at a community members block explorer, it has a great deal of information and is still very lean. just waiting to hit the market and find our valuation in the first couplefew days, so that we can offer a fair bounty to him, commensurate to what block explorers usually receive for porting the software and hosting it.

anywho.. wasnt trying to be growly, just want to know what you folkses look for in a n explorer, what makes one better than another..

Maybe you can make a bounty for the block explorer.

I agree, a simple but fully functional explorer is best. The one currently is ok, but doesn't meet the standards that some exchanges require and coinmarketcap requires it.

our SOILfaucet is active... http://faucet.soilcoin.xyz
disperses .05 SOIL once every 24 hours...

we will keep it up, topping funds from community reserve as neccesary. not a massive balance, to prevent those who abuse wallets with ip switching from attacking it as they do with many BTC faucets and costing community.

enjoy.

When will there be a new block explorer, ie. like etherchain.org .

The OP doesn't have pool info on it.

I messaged them twice already.. Don't seem to be very interested in listing it

we have the basic block explorer, which is suitable for the time being. a more advanced, inclusive explorer will come along, but to build a relevant one with all the features that might be expected, will take some time. we've had talks with block explorer developers, some of them find it hard to port what they have for regular altcoins towards ETH network based crypto. others, we are waiting until exchange inclusion, stable valuation so tht we can offer a compensurate bounty in SOIL to rates that most blockchain explorers would receive from other coins.

barring that, many block explorers for ETH are open source, but just porting one over to SOIL for convenience sake isnt prudent, nor fair play. we WILL have a better featured block explorer up, but considering we've only been active for less than 48 hours, at this very moment it is not our biggest priority. consider that SHF didnt really have a block explorer for two and a half weeks after launch. EXP had their explorer up within a week, but are still tweaking it. block explorers for ETH require a lot of rework for the overall coding, unlike sha256 and scrypt coins where such have been available for a long long time. the overall ETH network is onlya few months old, and even theyre behind their plans for the release of phase 2: homestead.

this is a brand new algo, and it WILL take time to produce something perfect, and its pointless to slap something together as a bridge explorer when the basic information you need is there.

Suprnova on eth, exp and shift seems to show difficulty/2 on all coins of this class.

The diff in the wallet is correct. Because if you look at ETH and the clones of it with a real-time block explorer, they match. Maybe OCminer hasn't optimize that portion of the coding for his ETH/ETH clone pools?

Either they are too busy or just lacking the man power, just hope not because of disinterest. Would be a shame to not be more detailed and proactive about even the smallest detail.

Why i lose coins (simplified explanation)

1 : you receive shares , you mine the block and get the reward
2 : another ppl receive the same shares and mine the block too and get the reward too.
3 : when the blockchain is reorganized  the fastest miner keeps the reward and balances are updated (for the slowest miner, the block is orphaned)

This is due to latency and extreme fast time block ( during the launch).

hello I lost all the coins to move from the old to the new portfolio some way to recover thanks if you help me I give you a high reward

Did you make a copy of your wallet?

Copy the contents in C:\Users\USER\AppData\Roaming\Soil\keystore , then put that copy in the new wallet in the new machine.

USER= login/username credentials

Old hand:
1) Doubleclick  "delete_SOIL_folder.bat" to delete the test-net SOIL folder (important)
2) Doubleclick "new_account.bat" - Set a password. The window should be closing automatically.
3) Doubleclick "soil.bat"
4) (optional) Doubleclick "SOILsafe.bat" for our Gui Wallet

doing so will erase all apart on the old purse was no folder keystore

+1 for speeddemon13 or
If you deleted your kestore folder then you need to use another method to recover your wallet.
Download "recuva" from pririform and try to recover your file. use UTC as keyword to reduce the search. good luck.

That would make is a little difficulty to recover the wallet if you erased all the contents in the C:\Users\USER\AppData\Roaming\Soil\keystore.
Like the others said, use an app to recover erase files in the Trash Bin. There's a lot of free ones that work, too many to mention.

It was my fuck up..
I have to deal with it now
Hope karma gets him
Maybe he will come back and send. (NOT)

Just from now on, look at the trust level of the person you'll possibly trade with or just wait until a coin hit the exchanges.

Other sign, the guy was defensive about your trust in him That's a big red flag.

Trust me i will.
RIP MY 3K SOIL
Yeah i saw that but didn't think much of it.
I was only selling to rent hashing power to mine more lol

Next time, you better keep your coins until it hits any exchanges. Selling - Renting - Mining the same coin will end up nothing. Dead circle.

Waiting for a trusted exchange to trade is a good idea too. ie. Poloniex, Bittrex, Cryptsy, etc....

At least you take a positive from and learn from it. Just do like reb0rn21 does, small incremental trades. If their willing to do that, then their more likely to be honest.
