1  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2025/2026 on: Today at 05:12:34 PM
The only thing that wont change is that Arsenal wins the league or finish second place.
If Arteta keeps playing a defensive style [with 3 DMs] against the top six, I wouldn't be surprised to see us end up outside of the top 4 [unfortunately, most of the time, he doesn't start the best players until it's late] and to rub salt into the wound, every single game seems to add a player [or two] to the long list of injured Arsenal players [check this image].
2  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Licensed vs Unlicensed Exchanges in PH - sinong lamang? on: Today at 04:06:36 PM
Do you think Filipino traders will eventually move to licensed exchanges? Or will most of the trading volume continue to flow into global/unlicensed platforms?
Considering that both BSP and SEC are doing their best to create a market with only local players or rather platforms [obvious naman siguro kung bakit], it'll probably be the latter one [the more limits they impose, the less market share they get].
- Hindi naman mahirap mag offer ng magandang features at services (sadyang ayaw lang nila talaga dahil sa corruption)!
3  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: Trezor Suite now supports coin control on: Today at 01:39:06 PM
I first thought they are adding biometric stuff for sending transactions, but this is only for unlocking Trezor Suite app,
I'm glad they didn't add this feature for signing transactions and based on "this guide", it appears to work for view-only wallets.
- In the last part of the same guide, Trezor mentioned the need to re-authenticate every five minutes and I find this to be somewhat annoying (I do know it doesn't take that much time, but still...)!
4  Local / Pilipinas / Re: $200M Bitcoin Ponzi Scheme – Fil-Am CEO Ramil Palafox of PGI Pleads Guilty on: Today at 12:29:36 PM
Ang offer nila grabe, 0.5% to 3% daily returns daw,
At ayon sa "PDF [page 10]" na pinublish ng U.S. SEC, ang total promised return nila was up to 200% of the investment [SMH]!
- Sa mga nababasa ko, mukhang malaki ang chance na hindi niya makuha ang maximum sentence na 40 years (unfortunately), pero curious ako kung ano ang mangyayari sa mga ibang "team members" nila.
5  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [WARNING] XMRWallet.com Scams - Stay vigilant! on: September 22, 2025, 09:53:15 PM
Perhaps the scammers will come up with another crafty website, members just need to stay extra careful.
Found another one with similar content and theme... Despite spamming their link on a lot of unrelated websites, it somehow managed to stay under the radar: Archived version of xrnrwallet.com [Creation Date: 2024-06-12]

6  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Monthly na sweldo ibibigay thru Crypto Payments on: September 22, 2025, 04:47:01 PM
Siguro kung maging alternatibong paraan dito sa pilipinas yung sahod is papasok na lang sa mga crypto wallet is magandang paraan din yan and ideya upang mabawasan yung mga binabayaran natin na fee.
It's worth noting na since before, may mga alternatibong paraan para sa mga empleyado na gustong tumanggap ng mga sahod nila sa pamamagitan ng cryptocurrency payments, pero usually nagkakaroon ng mga delays: e.g., BitWage [last time I checked, marami itong mixed reviews, pero may split feature siya (local currency and crypto payments)... Note: I prefer not to vouch, so DYOR!]
7  Local / Pamilihan / Re: Crypto exchange crackdown development discussion on: September 22, 2025, 03:39:23 PM

we have new clients.  Price has gone up.
I'm quite surprised you've managed to sell over 500k pixels in less than 10 days [AFAICR, none of the other bitcoin variants came close to that (assuming that the referral links actually belong to someone else)], but regardless of that, I'd like to know if you have any plans to promote it to help with the conversions or it'll remain as is?

@albon
It appears that the above things you mentioned in your post did the trick, so thank you for all of those things Smiley

10  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2025/2026 on: September 21, 2025, 03:28:01 PM
Remember their last meeting last season? Arsenal humiliated Man City with a landslide. We know Man City weren't in great form last season, but this season they haven't shown anything despite investing heavily in the transfer market. I know it's quite difficult for Arsenal to repeat that big win, but given Arsenal and Man City's current form, I feel there's a chance.
Seeing how Arteta has forced Arsenal to play with a defensive & compact style against stronger teams, makes me believe they won't be able to reproduce the result they got when Man City last visited the Emirates stadium... In addition to that, with Donnarumma in goal, I'm pretty sure it'll be way harder than when Ederson was playing in that position.
- IMO, it'll end in a draw or a win for Arsenal (under 2.5).
11  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: List of useful Bitcoin block explorers on: September 21, 2025, 02:27:34 PM
And I thank you for constantly contributing to this topic Smiley
About translators, things are not always easy... Most of them do the updates very fast, but some of them do the updates weeks or even months after I PM them... I keep pinging them from time to time, kindly asking them to do the updates, sigh...
Happy to do so Smiley
- I haven't monitored them lately, but I've also noticed the speed at which translators update their lists varied a lot in the past (unfortunately).

This is a good finding, as always! And, as usual, let's wait for a bit and, if nobody will object to this new explorer, I will add it!
Sure... While we're waiting for the above explorer to be added, I noticed there are a couple of changes:

  • Blockexplorer.com has finally added support for Bitcoin [I'm not sure when they did it, but perhaps it's time to move it back to the main list].
  • According to "IsItDownRightNow", Bitcoinexplorer.org has been down for more than a week:

How can Blockchair still be on top of this list?
...
But feel free to suggest a new rating and, if nobody will object, the suggestion will be added Smiley
I wonder if it's time to remove the subjective rating column and just list block explorers in alphabetical order.
12  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: List of VPN Service Providers - 2025 on: September 17, 2025, 12:26:44 PM
I wonder if he cleared cookies and absolutely everythin in Browser before using Windscribe? Also, what Browser was he using?
Windscribe mentioned in their blog that clearing cookies has little to no impact on getting a unique fingerprint [unfortunately] and I believe he/she was using Chrome.

For those who have concern about browser fingerprint, they should consider using either Tor Browser or Mullvad Browser. Mullvad Browser is fork of Tor Browser, without using Tor connection and you can use it without touching Mullvad service at all.
In addition, each tracker may collect different information or have different approach for fingerprinting.
I just tried Mullvad browser [with their VPN] and although it showed having strong protection against some trackers, I still experienced what LoyceV did with Tor [I guess a perfect solution doesn't exist yet].
13  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: 🔄 Changeum.io - Lightning-Fast Instant Crypto Exchange | No KYC on: September 17, 2025, 10:44:20 AM
The date issue is now resolved. We've been working with the exchange since 2024, but we didn't have our own website before.
Considering that I couldn't find any traces of Changeum's existence prior to the creation of this thread, it makes me believe the following stats aren't accurate as well:

  • The same thing goes for the following part in your FAQ section:
    - BTW, the link for the Trustpilot page is pointing to a different domain extension (.com) while there aren't any dedicated pages in BestChange & X.

14  Other / Politics & Society / Re: $150 Billion Shell Helping to adopt Bitcoin in Africa on: September 17, 2025, 09:15:04 AM
Shell (Royal Dutch Shell PLC) is one of the world's largest oil and gas companies that is now accepting Bitcoin payments in South Africa.
From what I'm seeing, Shell is not directly accepting bitcoin yet... The person who paid at that gas station used the "MoneyBadger" app to scan the QR code and pay with his bitcoin [there's an option for them to receive bitcoin (if they've enabled it), but that Shell branch most likely received South African Rand].
15  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Paypal Introduces Bitcoin as New P2P for Payments on: September 17, 2025, 07:32:47 AM
If PayPal make a crypto exchange it will be the biggest in the world because PayPal has more users than Binance.
I wouldn't be so sure about that since you'll still be using the services of a centralized platform... Imagine buying bitcoin from their exchange [if there were any] and as soon as you try to send it to an address with a certain AML score, they'll stop you and freeze your account [I highly doubt most users would like to deal with such things]. Another thing that can happen is if you travel to an unsupported country and log into their platform, they'll close your account.
- FWIW, I don't consider what they're trying to offer as a proper P2P!
16  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2025/26 Season on: September 16, 2025, 07:58:12 PM
arsenal struggled throughout the match but ultimately managed to win with two goals.
The moment I saw Arteta chose to go with three defensive midfielders, I knew they'd struggle like they did against Liverpool [e.g., passing sideways], but luckily, Martinelli was on fire today.

martinelli also contributed an assist for the second goal, directly contributing to both goals scored. some arsenal fans dislike him, but we can say he was the player who saved the match.
The main issue with him is his inconsistency, and despite his assist, he's not suitable for the LW position [IMO, he's more effective as a striker].

What happened:
As soon as I noticed this user pretends to have discovered this tool, I knew something was wrong:

- The whole page is a carbon copy of the AMLBots Crypto Checker page!
- Left clicking on any of the buttons and links leads to a "connect wallet pop-up [screenshot]!
- The domain in question was registered less than two weeks ago!
- OP of that thread left the forum after creating the thread!

18  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Who's next to make bitcoin a legal tender? on: September 16, 2025, 02:24:27 PM
Maybe Venezuela would be next because they had very high inflation in the last years and the money was almost worthless.
This is a great guess, but the internet penetration rate isn't that good in Venezuela [roughly 62% only]. IMO, any country that ticks the following boxes could be the next one:

  • ✔ High inflation rate
  • ✔ Good internet penetration rate [80% and above]
  • ✔ Suffers from lots of sanctions
19  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Would you rather…. on: September 15, 2025, 07:03:14 PM
Would you rather play in a casino where you win a lot and big ones too but has strict KYC implementation and is a headache to actually cash out from or play in a casino with no KYC, totally private and secure but doesn’t let you win a lot?
I'd prefer the latter one more, but purely because of the privacy reasons [as opposed to an easier withdrawal process]. I have no issues with losing money because I only gamble what I can afford to lose, but considering that the number of data leaks is getting bigger and bigger, I can't say the same thing about the KYC stuff [once it's out there, you can't do anything about it].
20  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2025/2026 on: September 15, 2025, 05:43:21 PM
Manchester United still likes to keep their coach, regardless of the results. And the club is very tolerant of various tactical failures implemented by their coach.
...
And at the end of his speech, he stated that we will see that he is the right man to carry out this process in two years. Well, two years?
I really think it's a good thing Man U isn't looking to replace him... As an Arsenal fan, I still remember the first few seasons of Arteta [it was a big mess], but the situation has changed and that's why Amorim needs more time to implement his philosophy fully [IMO, half of the players still aren't good enough for his plans on the field, so it'd roughly take two to three more transfer windows to replace them with the right players].
