Yes and no...

I think we can now safely rule out the possibility of seeing altcoins in Boracay:

5. Purchase Bitcoin and withdraw it to a personal wallet so that you may genuinely own it; never keep it on an exchange or web wallet. This is because exchanges are vulnerable to hacking and are not secure.
Just because your Bitcoins are sitting in your personal wallet, that doesn't guarantee that the latter part is not going to happen to you as well [it heavily depends on how secure your personal wallet is]!

Typically, you write phrases words, on metals, on a piece of paper and hide it in private places likey two places.
From time to time, you should go over those places to see if you can still find them [add more copies when you lose one].

what about Ellipal Titan? It looks more like a phone it will be easier to access
Why you're too fixated on how it looks? Instead of having a hardware wallet that looks presentable, you should be searching for a hardware wallet that offers the most security to your assets!

Ledger Nano X is the most rated of them all

924  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: 26 Hardware Wallets, compared feature by feature on: October 05, 2022, 07:26:35 AM
@Husires
I'm not sure if you're the author, but I quickly glanced at the table and noticed incorrect information for both Ledger and Trezor in the "countdown to brick" category... On Ledger, it resets after "3 failed PIN code entries" and on "Trezor, it's 16".

This guide compares feature by feature, 26 different Hardware Wallets available to buy right now:

925  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: worldexpertminer.com on: October 04, 2022, 03:42:58 PM
Mate you would have dropped the website like https://www.worldexpertminer.com/home here for easy access, instead of using it only on the title of the thread. Now we have to go to google to search for it before coming back to make comprehensive comment.
You don't need those steps... Just highlight their website from the subject field > Right click > Click go to (the website in question).

Initially they said she could invest $2,000, but the next day, they wanted more saying she had already profited 4k and they want another $1200  and she had to do this or she might lose everything.
Despite knowing it's a scam platform, it'd be nice if you can provide some screenshots to show how they usually deal with their victims.
- While you're at it, you might want to also update the first post with the proper "Scam Report Format".

Every day, the demands escalated, she sent them $20,000 today, saying they would not need to ask for more. That's where we are at the moment.
Sorry for her loss and I don't want to get her hopes up, but the "middle part of this post" might come in handy for intercepting their activities [only if they're stupid enough to use a centralized exchange]!
926  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: worldexpertminer.com on: October 03, 2022, 04:52:56 PM
Anyone have anything good or bad to say about this website? Legit? Scam?
Popular template or theme among scammers
Fake reviews with stock images
Tainted address [e.g. here and here]

I wanted to know about their reward, but the site wanted me to login, lazy to create email for that now because I can not use my email (for obvious reason of phishing). I wish to know about their profit.
I registered with a throwaway/disposable email and there were still no details for any of the packages [screenshot] but luckily, it asks all of the deposits to go to the following address [196N1dsBH9xp6hxqiqBASijWyW6uKCpCJe] and that one already has a report on "scamalert [ROI is sometimes more than 8500% per week]".
927  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Does everyone want bitcoin to be stable in price? on: October 03, 2022, 08:44:33 AM
Volatility makes it good for trading
Only if things go your way!

Be stable in price? I don't think it will bring a lot of people to want to own Bitcoin because in the end they just think it will be the same as fiat
Even if it becomes somewhat stable at some point in the future, it'll never be the same as fiat [e.g. those who are affected by Uncle Sam's sanctions, can still use it as a workaround].
928  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Auto crypto ex, scam?? on: October 01, 2022, 04:35:43 PM
Other users already covered the important parts, but I'd like to point out another fake website that might be their sister site: Glencoretrade.com [archived] (apart from having similar content, both of them use the same registrar and the creation date is one day apart from each other)

929  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: Trezor Suite now supports coin control on: October 01, 2022, 08:44:32 AM
@SFR10
How does Trezor Suite handle the coin selection when you open the coin control window for the first time? I mentioned previously that on Ledger Live, all UTXOs are selected by default. On the screenshot you posted above, none of the UTXOs are selected, but it's also possible that you unticked them. So are they ticked or unticked by default?
Since I usually play around with most of its settings and it tends to save them for the next time that I open them, I can't accurately answer how the situation was for the very first time that I opened the coin control feature but regardless of that, there's a deselect button for all of the UTXOs in Trezor Suite Smiley

I can't figure out what Ledger brainiac thought it would be a good idea to have them all selected and force the users to manually go through the list and untick everything.
Considering that they introduced it "two years ago", I'm surprised they haven't polished it yet [SMH].
930  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: Trezor Suite now supports coin control on: October 01, 2022, 06:18:41 AM
and you can tag the UTXOs if you want to.
Yes, but unfortunately, it still doesn't have a proper search feature to easily select UTXOs based on their tags [in other words, the outcome is somewhat similar to the middle part of your second paragraph]:

Ledger Live doesn't have timestamps. They only show a confirmations count for each UTXO.
Trezor Suite also shows the confirmation count, but the detail button doesn't appear unless we hover over the UTXOs.

I would prefer if I could see the USD value besides the BTC amount for each line, but that's also missing.
Luckily, that already exists on Trezor Suite [except in the above screenshots for obvious reasons].

As I see lines are sorted alphabetically (by address),
No, they're sorted by date [descending order].

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5415038.0

nakita niyo itong thread?

As expected: Policy think tank Infrawatch PH wants central bank to curb Binance’s back-door reentry
933  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Binance Banned on: September 30, 2022, 11:27:19 AM
3: did you receive any email from binance before the closing of operations in your country
~Snipped~
3. No
Does this also apply to the "spam folder" in your email?
- Why Can’t I Receive Emails from Binance

And if that's the case, why wasn't it made known that this was going to happen?  That doesn't seem right, at least not for a big, reputable exchange such as Binance.  They should have at least let Malaysian customers withdraw their funds prior to shutting them out, no?
Judging by "the content of this announcement", it seems that they warned their Malaysian customers but the heads-up came a few days prior to its deadline [that's quite strange, especially if the same thing also applies to the ones they've sent by email].
934  Other / Archival / Re: Current list of exchanges without KYC on: September 27, 2022, 07:28:56 PM
@Ratimov
I'm not sure if the three interrupted lines for AscendEX means it's a complicated situation or not, but I just created a test account and the minimum withdrawal limit seems to be a whopping 0.01BTC [screenshot]!
935  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: Trezor Suite now supports coin control on: September 27, 2022, 02:52:20 PM
I wonder how Trezor Suite would display the coins if there were multiple UTXOs per address? Would each UTXO have its own line or would they list all of them under that particular address in a sub-list format?
Unfortunately, addresses with multiple UTXOs occupy multiple lines as opposed to being grouped together in an organized manner [depending on how someone normally uses addresses in general, it could quickly become a mess]:

937  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: New top list adult website has all Adult stars paid in Bitcoin. Need advice. on: September 26, 2022, 01:44:01 PM
It will have a "Get Bitcoin" button where plan is for visitors to be able to easily stock
up on their bitcoin.  "Plan" I have no idea how to do this.
A payment processor like "BTCPay Server" is a great choice, but I have a feeling you'll have a hard time figuring things out, so it's probably best to just hire a developer instead.

938  Local / Pamilihan / Re: Binance acquiring PH firm to secure VASP & EMI licenses on: September 26, 2022, 01:03:20 PM

Has anyone experienced anything like this?

https://ibb.co/YbWxgNM
I'm not a Ledger user, but I've seen a lot of issues with its screen... If it's still under warranty, contact them and ask for a replacement unit [here's a case with a slightly different issue] and if you're out of luck, you can refer to the following thread: Ledger Nano S Oled Screen Replacement
940  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: Arculus Hardware Wallet Review / Warning on: September 25, 2022, 02:59:17 PM
Could also be 100% legit in security, but they are selling all your other information. Think about it, a decent HW wallet setup, that is now telling anyone who will pay for the information what coins came in and from what addresses and where they went.
Considering that it was a concentrated campaign toward the ones who live in the US [e.g. "the key card only ships to the US and "users can only use their app in the US (regardless of the workarounds)"], I think what you said in the above line might actually be the case here [some kind of decoy].
