461  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: Ledger Stax (Ledger's latest hardware wallet) on: August 29, 2023, 06:55:54 PM
Ironically the curved e-ink is only there to show a wallet label on the side so you can "stack" multiple devices together. I don't understand why anyone would need more than one device?
They don't but somehow, they've managed to master the art of convincing their customer of the need to purchase more than a single device of the same kind [refer to some of the comments in their subreddit].
- They seem to enjoy taking advantage of their ignorant users (SMH)!

  • Quote
We planned to ship Ledger Stax earlier this year, but it has taken our display provider months more than they originally expected to ensure every screen matches our quality standards.
Wait, what?! I didn't know they had any Cheesy

  • Quote
Often when v1.0 products come to market, they're really v0.9. This delay with the screen has allowed us to deliver a product in Ledger Stax that is truly beyond v1.0 at launch.
IIRC, there was also a delay with Nano S Plus, but there were still a lot of issues at its launch!
462  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: 40 Hardware Wallets, compared feature by feature on: August 27, 2023, 04:50:48 PM
Are you talking about the Keystone Essential and Pro models or some of the other hardware wallets in the collection?
Yes, I was referring to these two...

  • If you check the main list without any active filters, you will notice that these two HWs are positioned all the way to the right with a 'Discontinued' notification under their pictures. I think that's pretty clear for anyone looking at the page that they are no longer for sale.
You have a point, but OP mentioned in another thread that his/her "goal is to help users choose the correct wallet to buy" and if some of them are already discontinued, then perhaps they shouldn't be in the main list... Having said that, I noticed few of their "authorized resellers" still have them in stock, so perhaps placing another button beneath the discontinued and linking it to this exact page wouldn't be a bad idea.
463  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: 40 Hardware Wallets, compared feature by feature on: August 26, 2023, 12:17:54 PM
Added support to filter the hardware wallets by all the features.
Great addition, but I noticed the size & materials filters didn't have the materials and dimensions options in them... I understand why you excluded the latter, but I think it'd be better if users could also tick the materials of their choice [even if it means adding roughly 10 more options to that section].

BTW, do you have any plans to move discontinued hardware wallets to a different page [there are two at the moment]?
464  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Otoridad/Police nagbabala tungkol sa play to earn scheme on: August 25, 2023, 05:23:38 PM

465  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: New Ninjastic.space: which features would you like to see? on: August 24, 2023, 07:32:50 AM
Which features would you like to see in the new version? Suggestions?
I'd like to see the difference between the edited and unedited versions being highlighted in the change history section [useful for longer posts] and while you're at it, perhaps you could extend the edited version up to 10 minutes as well Smiley
466  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Nakapagtry naba kayo dito sa Sats cafe on: August 24, 2023, 06:27:44 AM

467  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Website crypto-hardware.com launched, suggestions wanted! on: August 23, 2023, 06:56:15 PM
Added comparison functionality. Might tweak it some more, but like it so far.
Nice addition, but I think it could've been better if it automatically deselected itself when navigating to a different page [as it stands, it requires removing them one by one].
- FWIW, I'd love to also see a comparison option for the seed backup page.
468  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Bitcoin Mining using Green Energy on: August 17, 2023, 04:56:23 PM
469  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Website crypto-hardware.com launched, suggestions wanted! on: August 16, 2023, 02:56:07 PM
but for most users the site should be fine to use right?
Only if I use or rather force HTTPS on it and since it appears that there are no redirects to HTTPS, then I have a feeling some of your users are suffering from the non-stop circular progress bar that appears on some of its sections [e.g. latest resources and hardware lists (it's worth noting that templates loaded perfectly)].
- BTW, I noticed HW prices are partially overlapping a text.
470  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Im looking to provide buy the dip best coin accumulate service on: August 16, 2023, 12:32:41 PM
If i buy coin down 10% and send to you and you sell that's 5%-10% profit for you of each sales.
So there are a lot of ifs [e.g. the sell order or rather the execution of your clients have to be at the right time in order for them to make a profit]!

Also feel Free give your suggestions and opinion about the project.
A few of the previous users raised their concerns with regard to the safety of their funds and I also think you should focus on that.

One day we Will meet in Monaco, Dubai or other Luxury fancy places life is short so it's our duty to live fullest in Luxury and wealth.
I hope not [most of the users on this forum care about their privacy + I wouldn't recommend meeting up with a stranger that thinks you might be a wealthy investor]!

i don't want to make this service too complicated let's keep things Simple way as possible
On the contrary, every little detail matters!

Independent with good connections and to belong in team.
I don't think an independent person needs to be part of a team Wink
471  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: List of useful Bitcoin block explorers on: August 14, 2023, 05:36:53 PM
A small update after a brief [ish] hiatus:

- I'm getting "Connection timed out Error code 522" for both of the following explorers: localbitcoinschain and coincap
- It appears that the situation with learnmeabitcoin hasn't improved (it's "4,019 blocks behind" and the last time I reported, it was "2,476 blocks behind"), so it's probably an abandoned project.
- Spiral isn't responding to any of my search queries!
472  Local / Pamilihan / Re: [SALIN][ANN][banned mixer] - CoinJoin Crypto Mixer | Your Anonymity Is Our Priority! on: June 23, 2023, 01:56:23 PM

To preserve your anonymity and make Chainanalysis as hard as possible, we have decided to randomly generate the fees for mixing operations. The fee per mixing operation ranges between 1% - 3% and is generated with a decimal number of 4 digits. Also, the miner's fee is paid by the user and deducted from the total mixed amount.

473  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Anti fraud / scam tools for Bitcoin on: June 23, 2023, 11:37:55 AM
There is no source from which we take data, no user reports,
But your FAQ section says otherwise [you might want to edit those parts (e.g. this)]!

Now, if an address has at least 3 transactions in 6 months, our AI can "bark"! :-)
Considering that some of the scammers tend to move their assets after a year or two, I think you should extend the period in which your AI barks Wink

Similar technologies are used in advanced anti-fraud systems across the payment industry.
You're correct, but it's worth noting that there are a lot of false positive results as well [unfortunately].

Through your own experience, you can gauge whether its predictive capabilities are of value to the community.
IMO, there's value in it, but I'd still combine it with the traditional tools.
474  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: GameBoy Hardware Wallet! on: May 27, 2023, 03:41:15 PM
How will the company distribute the firmware?
In addition to what @Pmalek said, they are planning to also distribute it in their "GitHub repo", so with the necessary tools you can flash it by yourself.

Also I can see a use case, where a person needs to take their bitcoins with them in an airplane and does not want to attract any attention.
As someone who recently purchased and tried one of those classic handheld Tetris game consoles in a public market, I can guarantee you such things will always attract some attention [mostly from the older generations, but still...].
475  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Dubai to construct the world's first bitcoin tower on: May 27, 2023, 09:20:14 AM
I don’t get it. So the name is Bitcoin Tower but they’ll offer apartments for rent in some weird shitcoin that’ll pay the owner in stakes? Is tht what happens? Cause if so, then why even call it Bitcoin Tower? Call it Shitcoin Tower instead lol because this has nothing to do with BTC besides the name
You nailed it... They could've gone with other shitcoins for the tower name, but clearly, they know the only way to expect a good outcome from announcing such projects is by masking out the part that shows their true nature.

It shows that there are people that really cares a out Bitcoin even though there are some countries that had been fighting against the adoption and recognition of Bitcoin.
Looks can be deceiving [the only thing that they care about is making some adjustments to fill their pockets more (unfortunately)]!
476  Economy / Services / Re: [OPEN] Yo!Mix Bitcoin Mixer Signature Campaign| Reward up to $130/w | 2/2 escrow on: May 03, 2023, 07:39:16 AM
To Royse777:

I've been feeling a little burned out for the past few months, so I've decided to take a break from the forum [long overdue (not completely, just from participating in signature campaigns)] to allow my body to have enough time to rest and reset... Hopefully, I'll get another chance to work under you in the future Smiley
- Thank you for everything (the same goes for YoMix) Smiley
477  Other / Meta / Re: Stake your Bitcoin address here on: May 01, 2023, 01:59:11 PM
~Snipped~
I read this from OP and it was a good idea and very simple to implement by anyone.
I have a new electrum wallet that I can generate my address and quote the previous comment  and drop it.
But it seems that the pattern has changed from what the OP proposed.
People are  doing something like this...
~Snipped~
What should I do to stake my own address here please?
You're right... There's a small change in its format, in order to know if you can actually sign a message with the address that you're staking here. Follow the format of the previous user [@Bitcoinislife09], but there's no need to quote the previous comment unless nobody has verified and quoted their signed message.
478  Local / Pamilihan / Re: Coins.ph Official Thread on: May 01, 2023, 09:15:59 AM
Sa akin kasi naka level 2 [downgraded from level 3].

Ngayon ko lang napansin na nag release pala sila ng article nung isang araw tungkol sa mga changes: What changes can I expect from the Coins app upgrade?
- It's nice to know that sa wakas, isang 2FA code lang ang pwede natin gamitin sa Coins and Coins Pro.
479  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Forum moderation policy on: May 01, 2023, 07:57:38 AM
That’s truly great news, except moderators not answering defamation and false acusations, it’s not allowed to just abundant make up information about users or associated users with projects that they simply developed.
I still don't know the whole picture, but from what I've gathered so far, it seems that you're refusing to directly address their concerns and instead, you're looking for a way out of the situation [this is how it appears from the outside], but that's not going to work here:

  • Q: Do you moderate/delete (possible) FUD, accusations and untrue information?
A: No. We don't have enough time to check every single piece of information and verify the validity of the sources. Also, just like scams - too much room for bias and abuse.
480  Economy / Services / Re: [OPEN] Yo!Mix Bitcoin Mixer Signature Campaign| Reward up to $130/w | 2/2 escrow on: April 30, 2023, 04:41:55 PM
Thank you. Let's see if it gets picked up. We should at some point all chip in to refund you those 11$ extra you paid!
You're very welcome... It finally got it's first confirmation Smiley
- Thank you for the kind gesture (I appreciate it), but it's really fine Smiley

Edit:
Oh, thank you man! But it wasn't necessary to pay out of pocket.
Thank you very much again! I really appreciate that!
You're very welcome Smiley
