No, Cryptophi. Also Jasin has addressed production problems. He's one part of the xc team and any projects he does are outside of xc.

Frankly I feel pretty bad that a guy with this kind of reputation is on the XC Team..

Can you post please where he addresses this supposed delays in the release of the ASICS and what will be is solution for this? why he did not refund the people that ordered them?

I am just asking questions. I think this story happened far after XC hired him for the XC project if I am correct..

I just posted this at litecointalk.  Someone will correct me if I've mis stated anything.

Quote
Just to summarize (this has been discussed in the Fib thread).  A tl;dr version (anyone correct me if I'm wrong)

1.  Foundry producing the chips cannot be contacted because if they find out it is crypto they will refuse to produce them even though they've been/will be paid.  (Chip production has not started yet)

2.  Not enough money to issue any more refunds - Jasin just has to do it from his personal funds as he gets the money.

3.  Chips are still in design phase.

4.  Chips are locked in at 14Mhs per chip which probably won't ROI unless somebody got a major Cachecoin discount.

5.  The guy who knows about ASIC production says there is no way this is in production because nothing makes sense.

6.  Jasin promised to update the website to reflect that it was involved in miners (us) a week and a half ago and still has nothing up there even mentioning the ASICs he sold.  It's now just an advertisement for XC/Cache

Please correct me if I'm wrong on any of this.

What ever happened to Jasin Lee, interchains, and pobc...is he still part of the team? Havent heard much about what all of the other team members are up to, would be nice to hear they're all still working with xcurrency to some degree.

Indeed

Comments already addressed and some uneducated comments.

Jasin is now working on code solely, he's a coder not part of the pr team. This means that he doesn't need to post anything.

Look.  I'm a little butthurt by getting scammed by Jasin.  Sure.

A lot of XC holders are going to be butthurt when he puts the code into Cache.  Look at the websites ...

Ignore me / delete my posts.  In six months he'll screw you over.  And since you are knowingly employing a scammer ... it's just a terrible sign for your coin.

'Cryptophi was a joined marketing project and what got us to Bitcoin in the Beltway.' I made most of that site.

So let me get this correct.  Fibonacci.io used to be dedicated to those of us who paid Jasin for miners.

He refuses to give any details on fabrication which means there is no proof he had any plans for the miners.  We are two months past the deadline with no information and it's widely accepted as a scam.

And you and he partner up to take the website Fibonacci.io and turn it into a promotion for XC and Cachecoin.

Lol no he has not.  He didn't provide the name of the foundry.  Says it needs to remain a secret (the secret foundry will not produce chips if they find out they're going to be used for crypto) ROFL.

He's locked in the hashrate to something that if shipped today wouldn't ROI for most people.   Roll Eyes

Out of curiosity does are you guys going to implement sidechains for cachecoin or XC first?

Yup rest assured he is.  He's still pushing you guys on his website.  Refuses to post anything about miners which are now in the negative ROI range and he collected hundreds of thousands for.  He promised to put a miner page up a week and a half ago ... and since hasn't been back to the litecoin board.

But no worries - he hasn't left XC

https://fibonacci.io/

He also drops in bitcointalk to delete any negative posts on his fibonacci ASIC miner page.   Roll Eyes

Keep a close eye on that cat - he plans on plugging your code into Cache to pump it.

If it were me and I knew what coin was going to be added to Supernet before an official announcement then I would use my private funds to take a nice position in that coin  maybe even months before Supernet funds were allocated to that coin.  In other words insider trading.  So my question is how do I get on the inside.   Huh  Maybe this should be a private message I don't know.

Yeah I might even invest if you got insider information . . . . seems like it'd be kinda shitty to hodlers of said coin tho

Did they personally invest or did they invest other people's money?

Only personal so far.

That's perfectly believable to me.  Investing clients money seems a little bit more of a stretch if reputation is on the line.

There's enough volume over time to hide multiple (50 - 250K) gambles in there ... doubt any whale is going to be trying to move millions over to any anon coin until one pulls ahead as the winner

Which hasn't happened yet.

You may think it is appropriate to be blabbering on about XMR on the BBR thread but I don't, so if you want to discuss XMR I will happy to do it with you but not here.

Moral and honest/Bedside manners and appropriate are not the same thing.  I agree 100% that XMR people often don't give BBR a fair shake.  And some of their promotional tactics are.  A little over the top?

But don't misinterpret bedside manners for morality/honesty.

How can we keep up w how many BTC's raised for supernetcoin?  I'm curious now ...
993  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: rpietila Altcoin Observer on: September 04, 2014, 10:40:08 PM

It is clearly possible to design a crypto-currency that can scale way beyond VISA/MC/PayPal and remain decentralized for mining. Don't expect it from Bitcoin though.

But that is not what will prevent offchain from proliferating, although it is a first requirement. Offchain is used because it is more attractive, convenient, and easy for the user.

I believe there is a solution. But it is currently one of my secrets that I am not yet willing to share publicly.

eMunie scales pretty well (did a million transactions within 24 hours in a beta test some weeks ago). They also have anonymity, though I cannot comment on how that is implemented. Would be interested to know what your impression is.

Did a google and ran into this.  Is it still being launched by the same guy?  I noticed it awhile back and I'm pretty sure he was saying he was keeping it closed sourced?

Not surprising XMR gets attacked and will continue to be a target with such vitriol towards their own father, that made their birth possible.. constantly referring to them as scamdevs and acting as if XMR is the immaculate conception

No if you have the Mixer on you will mix other people anon transactions nothing to do with your coins. the amount of coins in your wallet determin the fact that the Mixer can be started or not to work as a mixer. So for example in the last release max 150 coins in the mixer in the final one min 550 xc

Awesome got it.  Thank you for the explanation.

Unfortunately I can't answer this question. I do want to apologize for being so brash yesterday but I wasn't crazy about a couple of your comments. I do appreciate when you come in here and ask questions like this in a respectful manner; And I welcome constructive criticism and inquisitiveness. We wouldn't be such a great community if we didn't get defensive from time to time. With that being said, can anyone answer rdnkjdi's question?

It takes a lot to hurt my feelings and it's not possible to do on a forum.  So rest assured I take nothing personally Smiley  I understand my opinions may not be popular (especially when I start posting negative views in a coin's primary thread.) and I'm perfectly capable of taking the heat.

But I think I pretty strongly stand by everything I said.  I've been a hodler in dying coins and turned thousands into hundreds.  So (believe it or not) my warnings were not an attempt to drive capital into my crypto of choice.

I doubt anyone is using anon Transactions at all... we should set up a team of 10-20 people that do small anon transactions back and forth to test the mixer and the payment system

So the system doesn't force anon - only if you request it?  And does the mixer only mix with other people doing anon?

There are situation when users don't want to use 'private' transactions. If they do its as simple as checking a box in the ui.

I apologize for the dumb questions.  So if I have 10 coins and they're sitting in my wallet and I have the "mix" enabled.  Then it will constantly mix my 10 coins with the other coins going around in transactions?  If I keep the mixer "off" then it will not mix the coins that have been specified to be mixed?

When sending coins if my mixer is on - it will mark the coins to be mixed.  If my mixer is off - then coin transaction will be transparent.

Is it something like this?

I havent read the cryptonote scandal thread yet, I guess it must be pretty horrible if to be on it would be such a bad thing. Usually if you are part of the original dev team for a project, that's a positive.

I guess the whole, it was around for 2 years but nobody ever knew anything about was pretty scammy and near impossible.

The attacker against all cryptonotes might have won a small victory, but crisis unites family. I am tremendously glad that both XMR and BBR key peoples are making happy talk and cooperating.

This failed attack and quick response has gained the respect of the crypto community, as few other altcoins have the tech depth for such a quick isolation and fixing of such bugs. Now maybe some dont believe me, but you can all believe the market. When the BBR it is zooming, the XMR actually gained more in marketcap. Of course, not in percentage terms as the 10x gain in a week is just a snapback from the severe artificial devaluation. But XMR gained more than $1 mil marketcap during BBR surge. What is good for BBR is good for XMR and what is good for XMR is good for BBR. Also, during this crisis, BBR lost almost 20%. What is bad for XMR is bad for BBR and what is bad for BBR is bad for XMR.

These are things self-evident to me. Also what is clear is that the core contributors to both XMR and BBR are NOT the source of any of this FUD fued. Just like neither are the source of this attack. Unless the cryptonote guys are also insane and stupid, they have no motivation to harm any of the cryptonotes.

So, I suggest to listen to Risto's wise comment about following the money. Which camp has most to lose from a united cryptonote brothers?
The answer is that it is certainly not any cryptonote, so whoever this external attacker is, they have done us a big favor. The XMR and BBR are now brothers cooperating to the fullest. One's success is the other's success. To attack the other is to attack one's own self.

So anybody that is supposed to be on the side of XMR and is attacking the BBR is now exposed to be enemy agent. The actions they speak louder than words. Once these vermin are shunned from both communities, then we can aim for both getting the big fast market revaluation.

James

You like listening to yourself talk ....

1000  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Ethereum: Welcome to the Beginning on: September 04, 2014, 05:03:32 PM
People should know, this "pre-sale" is not designed to give buyers profit. It is to fundraise for development. If you invested with the mindset your gonna make a positive ROI, you have made a mistake.

Once mining starts, presale shares will be dilluted by more than 60%. Smart people will just wait until release to mine, or buy from the miners. Not to mention, Ether is only good for people who want to create contracts. If I had to guess, I'd say 75% of investors have no intention of creating contracts. They are in it for speculation. Miners selling, presale buyers selling, and most people have no intention of creating applications = sell pressure.

It sickens me that the Ethereum team is this greedy. 26000+ btc is much more than they needed. Just greed. Not to mention all the internal beefs the Ethereum team will be having. Charles' passive aggresive Reddit title at presale tells the whole story. Team members didn't even know what day the launch was happening.  Now a group of unorganized people have fundraised 26000 btc for a project that is not even in beta yet. Still proof of concept.

.26X the presale will be mined in the first year and that much thereafter so it will take 4 years (almost) for miners to catch up to pre-sale holdings.  It's almost the inverse of a 1 month Mine -> PoS coin.

PoS -> Mining (except Ethereum gets your money upfront vs miners)
