10401  Economy / Speculation / Re: When will we see another Bitcoin 4 week boom such as in 2017? on: May 08, 2019, 10:50:22 AM
You just answered your own question why everyone doesn't buy and sell at the same time, they don't believe in the charts or the reasoning behind why they act like they do around the halvings. It's all economics though, less new supply equals higher price. The only way this cycle stops is if the demand for bitcoin crashes - which could happen.

Yes, those charts are not accepted as credible by many people.

In all economic forecasts the one I think is the most far-fetched and hard to believe is the theory behind "halvings".

In short it is a cycle, the price goes up and the price goes down - to make profit it is all about timings
10402  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Binance: Time For A New Market Leader ? on: May 08, 2019, 10:47:53 AM
https://binance.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/360028031711-Binance-Security-Breach-Update

Now that the once unthinkable has actually happened, Binance has been hacked to the tune of 7000 BTC (estimated $41 million in currency today), how will this affect the brand name that came from nowhere to become the market leader?

Will another name, maybe an existing reputable exchange top spot or maybe a start-up will? Maybe Binance will not be affected by the negative press.

What do you think the future holds for Binance?
10403  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] 🔥Republia: Leading-Edge Ecosystem and Technology on: May 08, 2019, 12:44:29 AM
Bounty payouts were postponed until 15th May 2019 because of excuses made up by the Republia/Paxchain scammers (real delay tactics)

Nobody will receive bounty on 15th May 2019 but be prepared to receive more nonsense excuses for delays and scam tactics from the Republia/Paxchain scammers

I think too that there is no chance for bounty hunters to collect theirs bounties. Before paying bounties they first have to launch coin , wallet , bank, site and of course to pay for listing coin on at least one decent exchange. They didnt do anything from it and with collapse of Minexsystems, which was paying theirs expenses,Republia collapsed too. Koreans obviously were not so exalted to finance this charade.

The Koreans it seems gave up on Republia scammers a long time ago, maybe because of their connection to sister scam Minex.

No coin, no token, no product... they claim they will release bounty on 15th May 2019

10405  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] ADAB - First Islamic Crypto Exchange, based on the Shariah norms on: May 07, 2019, 06:52:27 PM

Adab Haraam exchange scammers.

They never paid bounty to those that participated in the 9 MONTH LONG bounty campaign

These Kazakh/Uzbek scammers are misusing religion in the hope of getting gullible investors to buy in to their scam.

They claim to be religious but are happy to take funding from pimps, prostitutes, drug dealers and just about everybody from all illegal and immoral sources of income.

Adab Haraam exchange are running a scam so stay away and beware of them.

10407  Economy / Speculation / Re: When will we see another Bitcoin 4 week boom such as in 2017? on: May 07, 2019, 06:16:19 PM
Same as before, the year after the next halving. Pay attention to the past, it usually repeats for the same reasons.

I think those patterns are not fixed for all crypto. There is no single defining pattern, it cannot be predicted.

The "halving" calculations are probably one of the least accurate theories out there.
10408  Economy / Speculation / Re: When will we see another Bitcoin 4 week boom such as in 2017? on: May 07, 2019, 03:28:10 PM
The same drive can push it up to those values. People that are skeptic about it are witnessing that the trust is still there and is growing, it will give them the convince to step into bitcoin.

People are probably sceptical about those investors that buy in bulk with the aim of playing the pumping and dumping game.
10409  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Is KYC For Bounty Hunters Good? Lets Share Our Views! on: May 07, 2019, 03:24:56 PM
Most likely the project does not raise a good amount of money, we should know if we are participating in a good project or not, because good project usually pays their bounty hunters, it doesn't matter if it's delayed as long as they will pay.
The bad part is if they will require you KYC when they are not actively answering queries, we should not trust them.

Exactly. If they cannot be bothered to even answer questions or remain active in other ways then there is no need to trust any project.

In the end they need bounty participants to promote projects therefore they should always ensure to take steps that do not alienate bounty participants.
10410  Economy / Gambling / Re: bustabit – The original crash game on: May 07, 2019, 03:22:06 PM

Thank you for the link. Do you have a demo URL where prospective purchasers can see v1 running?

And since you are not selling a licence for v2 could you please explain how ethercrash has an almost identical looking site to bustabit?

I might be off here, but you already have all the information you need. Ethercrash runs the V1 version of bustabit. That should answer both of your questions.

Thank you for letting me know, it might have been posted before but escaped my mind. In that case both questions are indeed answered.

10411  Economy / Speculation / Re: Many cryptocurrency players have gone bankrupt on: May 07, 2019, 11:28:55 AM
Any investment is risky. In the same way, I invested in different assets and some investments brought me a profit, and other losses, but this is quite normal. The more experienced an investor, the less mistakes he makes, making more successful investments and making more profits than less experienced investors.

It is hard to argue with what you wrote. All investments are risky.

Many people try to hedge their investments so if several fail but one does quite well, they hope to recover their losses.
10412  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Pundi X - Any store can buy, sell and accept Cryptocurrency on: May 07, 2019, 11:26:50 AM
We will perform the PundiX system upgrade from 20:00 to 24:00 UTC+8 on May 7, 2019. This will take approximately 4 hrs. During this period, you will not be able to use XPOS and XWallet services.

Are you part of the Pundi X team?

As I know Binance chain doesn´t support smart contracts. Then what is the real use case for these tokens without smart-contracts?

I was under the impression smart contracts were to be implemented on the Binance chain.

Does anybody have a link to the Binance chain press release?
10414  Economy / Speculation / Re: When will we see another Bitcoin 4 week boom such as in 2017? on: May 07, 2019, 10:28:58 AM
We can say that we are in the bull run so far the far is intendedly spiking in a manner of waves it is really unpredictable and relying on past events may not outline to the one we have now, But I really think that we can have another spike just like it did when the price go to $5800 mark But in my opinion it will likely to fall in August or the month of September maybe? But for now, the price is resisting going to the $6000 USD so that was the month we can have a good trading price for bitcoin.

Why do you think the price of Bitcoin will fall in August/September?

Maybe you are right and that will happen but what makes you say that? Is it a gut feeling or more from previous annuals graphs showing those statistics?

10415  Economy / Speculation / Re: When will we see another Bitcoin 4 week boom such as in 2017? on: May 07, 2019, 09:00:39 AM
The good thing about these crazy spikes is that you can short them. In most cases what goes up hard comes down hard, so the odds do favor a short in that regard. It happens regardless of what our opinion is, so why not utilize these opportunities the best we can? Accumulating more Bitcoin is my main priority, and these crazy market movements are perfect for that.

$6000 is what I want to see be broken or reject our current rally. We're so close that it's difficult to say something about the direction. If we do break it confidently, I'll open a long position and ride it out. If not, then I'm fine with my current short. In the end, we're either right or wrong, but it's important to put your money where your mouth is. We have way too many empty talkers here not doing what they believe in.

In your case it could well be a case of long term holding that suits you.

If you make a short term gain because of a spike then great but  you seem content with the option to sell or hold for the long term. Not all investors are that patient, many try to limit losses or maximise gains and in that process make errors.
10416  Economy / Gambling / Re: bustabit – The original crash game on: May 07, 2019, 08:42:26 AM
bustabit sells software license for version 1 of bustabit. Version 2, which bustabit.com is currently running, is not available for licensing. The software is provided as-is and buyers should be prepared to maintain and modify the code themselves.

If you're interested in purchasing a v1 license or have any questions about it, please contact me via email at https://www.bustabit.com/support.

10417  Economy / Speculation / Re: Many cryptocurrency players have gone bankrupt on: May 07, 2019, 08:35:54 AM
And what's so surprising? A cryptocurrency market cannot make everyone profit. After all, material values are not created on it. This market only redistributes them. That is, if one in the market makes a profit, the other must suffer losses. Therefore, winners and losers will always be there. Therefore, in order to make a profit, it is necessary to study this market well and soberly assess the prospects for its movement.

Yes, like all markets the crypto market should be studied before investing too but I think those are oversimplifications because even those that research before investing can end up losing money too.
10418  Economy / Speculation / Re: Many cryptocurrency players have gone bankrupt on: May 06, 2019, 11:39:32 PM
I know many people personally that have blown multiple accounts with trading bitcoin, and they were either bull or bear or even both.

Most people I know bought BTC above $10K, and they ended up selling at a huge loss or ended up buying more at $6K and ended up with an ever larger loss when it broke the $6K and head towards the $3K.

And some of them even turned into huge bears and ended up shorting at like $3.5K on huge margin because they were expecting $1K bitcoin and just wanted to break even on their investment. And in the end they got burnt both ways.

Most likely if we ever get another FOMO rally, the same will happen. People will overleverage, buy and get burnt.

I feel sorry for those that sold their Bitcoin at huge losses. Always invest wisely.
10419  Economy / Speculation / Re: When will we see another Bitcoin 4 week boom such as in 2017? on: May 06, 2019, 11:19:27 PM
I do not see Bitcoin rising to that level of $70,000 to $100,000 in the next bubble, that is way too much an over-estimation in my opinion.

It's totally possible. No idea how likely it is.

I think it's largely going to depend on whether the on ramps up their game. If there is a better and bigger selection of avenues, the real biggie being a significant legacy trading platform, then that type of price level is not pie in the sky.

If we're stuck with the same old creaking exchanges and futures continue to grow then it's a different matter.

Eventually sure, I think Bitcoin will be reaching $50k, $75k even $100K but maybe not during the next bubble and spike.

Counter those spikes with any regulation that various governmental agencies might be pushing through as legislation in future - then maybe the price will not go as high as we hope.
10420  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XRP] Ripple Speculation on: May 06, 2019, 11:15:15 PM
In your first picture, two INFORMED crypto users use XRP to transfer value

In your second picture, 90 year old grandpa USA is sending fiat money (because he has no clue what crypto is) to his 5 year old
grandson in Columbia (he don't even have computer or mobile phone) using XRP

I'm glad you finally got a clue and understand XRP has use case for everyone (unlike some other cryptos)

That post from that user was not even worthy of a response from me. I have him on IGNORE now.

Ripple is a fantastic network, it is not perfect just like other crypto are not perfect but it is a great investment.
