Do you have proof of anyone doing what you're saying? Sending 1 sMerit gives the receiver 0.5 sMerit, so the circle would be starved for merit quickly and easily tracked down.

The "I need merit..." subject line sounds like begging. You shouldn't beg for merit or anything else on this forum. Actually even how good quality of post you have if you are not famous or knowing by the other people in bitcointalk community you can't get merits. If you notice all of us have a point in terms explaining our side. But almost all of them can't appreciate our post. In Jr. Member how hard to earn 10 merits compared to Full Member and other higher ranks. I was already Full member but due to merit I was not ranked up but it's okay maybe I was not enough knowledge to ranked up.

Merit system has shown greater impacts on lower-ranked users because they have to stop spamming with one-word, one-line posts or even long plagiarised/ shitty posts in order to catch merit points. They have to improve their posts quality somehow. Overtime, they will form new good habit, which allow them to write high or at least good quality posts naturally.

Ability to naturally write good quality, constructive threads is important, which help to build up the forum.

I agree with that point but not all the higher ranked members are experts and the lower ranked members don't have any knowledge.But it is hard for us to get merit with the currenct system,but in future there will be changes made into the system until that wait for that system to settle down.

But those 57 merits sources are not going to enough for the form so we need more merit sources for each and every section then only all the good posts can get merits.

i think the biggest problem of the merit system is, higher ranks know much more than us so its so hard to find something thats usefull enough to get merit from them and lower ranks have no merit.

I'm not sure if it's been mentioned but a character limit should be introduced in post counts. Character limiting can be annoying, yes.. but it's worthwhile in the end. It's relatively easier to pick out people that are just trying to increase their post counts when there characters are limited.

 I see a lot of posts from some members only posting with images, which is stupid.

Another suggestion is to restrict junior members even more by taking away that outbound link in their signatures. This forum is mostly being used as a means to make money with signature campaigns.
