241  Other / Meta / Re: Spoiler tags? on: March 18, 2018, 12:51:41 AM
Just curious, but what would be the purpose of using a spoiler tag here? The feature is not installed on these boards, but as an alternative, why not highlight your black text with a black glow? This requires the user to select and highlight the text in order to see it.

this is an example.

Code:
[glow=black,2,300]this is an example.[/glow]

The only downside is that you cannot view the text on mobile devices.
Nope, I just tried it now, it showed me dae wae. lol jk.

Highlighting it shows the text within, note that i use chrome on my mobile in highlighting the black glow. Which makes your argument, in my opinion, pretty valid and the best solution for spoiler tags. +1 on your side.

EDIT: I also tried using the phone's default browser. It also shows the text within and it is a lot clearer than the chrome. Nonetheless, both chrome and the default browser shows the hidden text.
242  Other / Meta / Re: suggest to disable changes the email address!!! on: March 18, 2018, 12:44:10 AM
I suggest to disable changes the email address!!! so that the account is not easily stolen by hackers, and the trading account will be eliminated. because i found some 3rd market they are trading account. There is no harm without buying or selling.I hope the administrator think about it. thank you

This will be safely everyone’s account. if you agree it.some merit for me Greatly appreciated Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy
I personally don't agree on this. I have change me e-mail once and if this was implemented before that time, i would be really disappointed. Changing e-mails requires confirmation on old e-mail (from what i remember) or the other way around idk, probably the first one, so you don't have to worry. There are people trying to hack other accounts, for what? i don't really get the point. Maybe destroying other people's work?

Disabling email change is a good idea but it isn't the solution.

PS: Although i don't see it as begging for merits, some members may do and even put you on their ignore list so it means that you won't receive merits from them, ever. To be safe just let the people give you merits if they want to, don't remind them for that, it'll come off as begging.
243  Other / Meta / Re: What does "leet" means in my profile? on: March 18, 2018, 12:31:36 AM
Cool! upon reaching 1337 posts you'd be branded as "leet", and you got a screenshot for it. I bet most high rank did not see this (not that it's important), hope i wont forget this when the time comes.
244  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Metamask or MyEtherWallet ???? on: March 18, 2018, 12:25:32 AM
I have always used mew for my transactions but the constant warnings like "this is not a way to login" is a fear for me.
I tried meta mask but I am not sure how I feel about an extension to a browser.
Anyone can use your computer so how do u secure you metamask??

Any ideas which is better?
Meta mask is the way to go, it is safer since it's what the site recommends. If it's a personal computer then what are you afraid of? You can put passwords so other people can't access your pc.
245  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: what happen? on: March 18, 2018, 12:07:12 AM
I don't really think it's a huge problem, but just to be sure we want to post the links and not the text itself. What i do is, i just click edit post then save, try it, if it doesn't work, idk. That's pretty much what i do.
246  Other / Meta / Re: Merit Suggestion on: March 17, 2018, 11:56:47 PM
how about the high rank members like legendary and hero members monitors the constructive post and give that user a merit so that user that creating good quality post will not taken for granted. why hero and legendary? they have nothing to do with their extra merits.
The current system is doing this though, even better. High ranked members helping low ranks by giving off their sMerits provided that the receiver would show their "quality work", and it's up to them if they would give or not, and even members(average ranked) are doing the same. But this isn't mandatory, this just show that members of all rank cares and want to help low ranks grow.

What I meant by even better is that, everyone including low ranks which has received a few merits can participate on this merit giving making the circulation of merit evenly throughout the forum.

i also suggest that in every sections there are moderators assigned to give merits in every user that makes a good quality post these moderators mostly likely the merit source to avoid abusing give away merit and give the right user a merit.
This suggestion isn't new, there are quite a few people suggesting each section would have a merit source, including me. But based from what i've read before(i haven't read much these past few days), there are currently 77 merit sources here on the forum (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=merit;stats=sources) i'm sure if it's still isn't enough, Theymos would accept more applicants.

EDIT: The above post we're made as i was creating this but nonetheless, i don't like to spam answers.

I am not trying to track down passwords, or something like that.
As if a thief would say that he's stealing something.

The terms of the campaigns are determined by the owner of the currency
Each one has its terms
You can participate with your rank on the site
There are those who participate in the project on Facebook and Twitter and its channel on YouTube
All he had more followers was his income

Here you find projects :

Why are you using bold in every post you made? Can you please stop? It's a total eyesore. Use it when needed, when giving importance in a part of your speech.
249  Other / Meta / Re: Over-replied topics on: March 15, 2018, 01:56:02 PM
I see some over-replied topics (600-1000+ replies) yet this replies from 10-upward pages are unnoticed/ignored and some are redundant answers.

I think its better to limit the replies to avoid these topics to keep appearing in the latest posts and so that users will make a new topic or reply on the unreplied topics.
It's really hard to control these spammers, but limiting replies would still have consequences. For example, we cannot guarantee that we could get an outstanding answer within the limited replies. Another instance that this may be a bad idea is when an interesting topic arise, a lot of non-spammer member may show interest by continuously interacting with other members.
250  Other / Meta / Re: See total Merit for an individual thread. on: March 14, 2018, 11:22:58 PM
You should write with more appropriate English. Your current one is bad-written--English, so it's hard to understand what you wanted to imply. Furthermore, I don't think that you should create such a topic (of I do understand what you wrote).
Oh, get off your high horse. The OP’s English is considerably better than yours. My guess is that they are a native English speaker although using an informal writing style with not much punctuation.
Laughed way more than i expected.

Hello,

Quick question. I know that you can see the most merited threads etc but is there a way to see the total merit awarded within any thread?

If this doesn't exist I would propose it as a suggestion although I am fully aware it is not all that important.

Thank you for your help.
You also think it's unimportant, but it is quite a nice suggestion. But the percentage of it being needless outweighs the neediness. Besides, only handful of threads receive more than 20 merits, you can just easily do some quick maffs to know the total merits.
251  Other / Meta / Re: Earning merit points by being a cry baby! on: March 14, 2018, 10:57:26 PM
Now we dont have any chance of getting rankup because those merit source wont give any if are posting quality contents.
First off, try to improve your writing skills.

Second, everyone still has a chance of ranking up, i have witnessed members go from newbie to full member within weeks time. It's just that your posts are made to complete the required post count per week.

And lastly, ranks don't matter, unless you're making money out of this forum(which you clearly are).
252  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Made Easy Youtube Video On How To Participate On Multiple Bounty Simultaneously on: March 12, 2018, 11:36:59 PM
This video will be useful for someone that is always busy and want to participate in multiple bounties simultaneously.

Watch the simplest video to do that.

"Made easy video that will be useful for someone that is always busy" yet the video is almost an hour long. Smh.
253  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Fast research of topics? on: March 12, 2018, 01:54:59 PM
Use Google search queries instead. Go to Google.com and put up your search query like this:

site:bitcointalk.org *your topic here*
e.g.
Quote
site:bitcointalk.org what is merit

Or just add "bitcointalk" in each of your query. Not only google would give you more answers it'll also give you an accurate one.
254  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: HOW TO EARN MERIT TT on: March 12, 2018, 01:43:49 PM
I've put you on ignore - so no merits from me ever.

I've done this for two reasons.

- You shouldn't beg for merit, it makes you look desperate and pathetic.
- I hate your oversized bold text. It pollutes the board, and it is really an indiction that you don't have anything worthwhile to say, so you have to shout at us.
Another thing is that new members tend to ask for help and all yet they don't even help themselves. This is a pretty basic question, use google search bar or even this sites search bar, tons of merit related posts have been made, i am 100% sure this question can be answered if you just read.
255  Other / Meta / Re: Hundreds of Japanese threads were suddenly deleted by admin on: March 11, 2018, 11:22:59 PM
It's probably because your local mod is beginning to take action. They're just trying to do their job and/or making your local board a better place.

PH local board mod deletes repeating topics, off-topic, and merit-related topics(?). Nonetheless i think our mod is great, trying to stop all those shit posters. Kudos to him.
256  Other / Meta / Re: Feature request: Forum remailer on: March 11, 2018, 11:15:18 PM
Like a post office here on the forum? I do agree on this since i'm trying to be more private but i have a question. Will this be managed by a group of people or a programmed bot?

If by a group of people, time would be their enemy.

If by a programmed bot, then good choice, but the thing is, can it handle a huge load of PMs circulating daily?
257  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: IS THERE'S ANYONE WHO CAN REVIEW MY POST IF IT'S HIGH QUALITY POST OR NOT on: March 11, 2018, 06:21:11 AM
For newbie's and jr member who wants to have some merits and send to us.
It's not that you need high quality posts to have merits, you need to interact as well. Problems with your posts:

1. Just like what i've said above. Try to interact with other members. You're posts are just replying to the post which is i highly think that have been said before again and again(which you probably didn't see, since reading all those is a waste of time) therefore spamming the thread.

Remember: No one has the time to read all those replies, make sure yours stand out.

2. Topics you are replying to isn't really much help to this forum. Interesting topics would lure(positive way) merit sources that may send you sMerits, provided that you've made a quality post.

Hope this advise would help you understand your current position. And for others to reflect on what they post as well.
258  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Red trust. What to do? on: March 09, 2018, 11:47:13 AM
You can't do anything sadly. If whoever left you the negative trust is not responding then you will have to live with it.
Let's not be negative. Maybe the DT is still monitoring you, so try to be better from now on. If there's a way to remove it there's still a chance. It may take some time but don't be discouraged.
So there were cases of getting trust back right? Just wondering. Up
Vod did remove red trust in some cases. Reference: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=887515.0

He cannot remove negative trust imposed by others, but he can remove his own red mark if he is the one who gave it to you.
Yep yep, if you tried to read what i've linked, you wouldn't need to say this again since it is included in the link, but thanks anyway.
