21  Other / Off-topic / Re: Lockdown depression :( on: April 25, 2020, 07:44:39 AM
Is anyone having depression because of Lockdown?
...
Nothing feels good.
It's okay not to be okay mate! Just move at your own pace and take your time to heal. Also, as lienfaye said,
You need someone to talk to about your worries. Open up to your family
or is your family one of the reasons why you're feeling that way? If it is, try talking to strangers, there are lots of online chatrooms or sites you can seek online help with. Just talking to someone that you can share your thoughts with without bias can be a lot of help. It worked like a charm for me, if you  want someone who'll listen to you without all the hassle send me a message, maybe I can help. Best regards mate!

I was checking the forum stats the other day and I noticed that Forum History did not update since 2017? Am I looking at it right or there's another way to view the forum history? I would like to check the statistics from at 2018 to present, can anybody help me? Any help would be much appreciated!  Grin
23  Economy / Gambling / Re: Crypto eSports betting on: April 24, 2020, 07:24:17 AM
<...>
Does this include Apex Legends? I've been playing the game for a while now and I want to check and see if people are also interested with betting on teams. But unlike Dota2 and CS:GO which has trading systems, apex don't have one, but apex coins code as collaterals would be fine. Since coins can be exchanged to loot boxes.
24  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Now is the best time on: April 24, 2020, 06:59:55 AM
Not the best time but making the most out of this time would be my term. People are being laid off and the only thing that's functioning well in this time is the online community, which is the perfect fit for being productive while observing social distancing. Almost everybody, including me who wants to get back in the crypto industry, are trying to find a productive way amidst the lockdown.
25  Other / Meta / Re: Why not spoiler tag? on: April 24, 2020, 06:35:24 AM
If the images benefit and compliment the thread I don't see why they would need to be hidden. I would like to see them without having to click on 4-5 buttons while reading the thread.
A better suggestion would be not to use too large images or too many. And even better then that would be to make it impossible to quote a previously posted image when a user replies to a post. It's so unnecessary.
^True. OP should also be responsible when posting, images that are too large or too many may be unnecessary which can make the readers uncomfortable leading them into not finishing the whole text.

In terms of actual text, I also think that highlighting your text with a black glow would be the perfect alternative as stated in a previous spoiler tag thread. It is shown like this:

this is an example.

Code:
[glow=black,2,300]this is an example.[/glow]

Edit: The previous post also stated that texts can't be viewed on mobile devices, but I tried doing it just now and it works like charm on both Samsung internet and Google Chrome on mobile.
26  Economy / Economics / Re: returning to normal on: April 23, 2020, 04:47:44 PM

Quote
Which industries will die off first because of pandemic?

The obvious one for me is the movie theaters but what else?

https://twitter.com/needacoin/status/1246191483746574337

what do you think---are entire industries about to disappear because of the pandemic? will some aspects of the economy and general life irreversibly change after this?

or are these people just drama queens who are blowing everything out of proportion? maybe people will forget all about the coronavirus in a couple years time and nothing will change. that's what happened after the H1N1 scare.

It's not like these industries can easily disappear because of the pandemic, these too shall adapt accordingly to fit the current trend. For now, it's social distancing, since we are at the early stages, things will momentarily halt. But in the later stages -- the recovery phase, distancing maybe the norm. This goes with some aspects of the economy and in general life as well.

This too shall pass. And I don't think ppl are blowing things out of proportion because unlike the H1N1 swine flu, Covid-19's transmission and mortality rate are higher. Read it here.

27  Local / Others (Pilipinas) / Re: [Courses] Online class on: April 22, 2020, 03:05:48 PM
May dalawang silang free training: Basic Linux at IP Addressing and Subnetting for CCNA.

Grin
28  Local / Others (Pilipinas) / Re: [MEGATHREAD] Pilipinas Coronavirus/COVID-19 Thread on: April 22, 2020, 02:42:36 PM
29  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: we would have been nothing without Bitcoin and Bitcoin forum on: April 22, 2020, 08:28:31 AM
Since most of us right now is at home doing nothing but playing and watching and repeated routine throughout the day, some find ways to be at least productive. For me, I want to be on cryptocurrency again. I have been here in the past, I was exposed to new things but things don't always seem to work. Maybe now, things may change and be on my side so I'm starting again. I'm not nothing without btc and btct but i want to hop on the crypto train again.
30  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is Covid-19 a cause for BTC price drops? on: April 22, 2020, 08:20:28 AM
Although Halving has come close, it seems that there is no optimistic signal that BTC will rise. Currently Corona Virus is making it difficult for the leading economies in the world. And is that the main cause of Bitcoin price drops? Let me give you some possibilities
1. Unemployed people do not have income so they do not dare to invest in Cryptocurrency.
2. The psychology of fear that if we die by Virus and die, investing in Cryptocurrency will not bring anything when we die
3. In a difficult economy, investors need to withdraw assets and sell cash to maintain businesses such as payroll, purchase and sale of goods instead of investing in cryptocurrencies.
4. The disease has not yet been controlled, the economy has not shown signs of recovery, so investors are afraid of not participating in the Cryptocurrency market.
I mean yeah BTC will be affected due to the global economic state right now but I beg to disagree. In my opinion, this is the perfect time for BTC to rise again. With all the social distancing and lockdowns implemented, being online is what keeps us and the economy going. People are staying and working from home, online shopping (though already popular even before the pandemic) and with this, online currency. So I wouldn't be surprised if BTC booms in the following months.
31  Local / Altcoins (Pilipinas) / Re: Bakit bagsak ang Ethereum?! on: December 20, 2019, 06:27:42 PM
sana nga ganon talaga ang mangyari mate, kasi kagabi dumausdos na talaga ng tuluyan ang Ethereum price Losing %7 and still dropping.
i was not expecting this low since nasa mid of the month palang naman tayo, inanticipate ko na babagsak before end of the month so makaka labas muna ako and re entry nalang next year.ngayon mukhang mapapahaba talaga ang holding ko hahaha.

32  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: is this gift right? Send 0.5 ETH = 1ETH on: December 17, 2019, 05:20:11 AM
Meh. Wouldn't risk any amount for "Giveaways" it is highly likely that it's a fraud. I mean, you should know this if you feel things are "too good to be true" then there's a good chance that it's "too good to be true". Money only comes from hard work, not from easy things like this. Besides, it even says "Sometimes transactions are not sent properly. Try sending it again" too fishy for me, ain't this too fishy for you?
33  Other / Serious discussion / Re: I think I found a new benefit of bitcoin (versus paper money) on: December 17, 2019, 05:03:47 AM
I really hope in 2020 we will have strippers with QR codes tattooed so I can scan and technically throw bitcoin at them

Sent merit cause the reply made me laugh big time. Imagine how funny that would be, "Hey can you turn the lights on for a bit? i need to throw in some btc" or "biych stop moving can't scan u" lol

Does bitcoin get dirty too? Grin

Does bitcoin get dirty too? as I am nodding my head, yeah it can be dirty Wink
34  Other / Off-topic / Re: smartphone privacy oriented on: December 17, 2019, 04:50:51 AM
If I have to pick, I'll choose Pixel (if Apple is not included), but on this list that I searched for, Blackberry is #1. Maybe it's worth checking out. [2]

A30 is a good model too, not bad for the price also. I don't think the depreciation rate of the phone would be reasonable, unlike the flagship phones.

Must say I'd go for pixel too. Especially for a mid-ranger, probably Pixel 3a. Not only it's much cheaper than Pixel 3XL, but most of the internal hardware was also retained including the Titan M chip which helps you protect your sensitive data.

Based on my experience, Samsung's non-flagship phones are really a no-no. The phone would only last a year or so then you'd feel how slow your device is. With Pixel, you won't need to worry about the depreciation of your device because google keeps you updated for at least 4 years. +++ Pixel's camera is a beast.
35  Other / Serious discussion / Re: In restrospective, how do you explain and assess 2017 run? on: December 16, 2019, 05:50:04 PM
On log scale, the future still looks very bright indeed Smiley
Gotta admit I was one of those people who were pulled with all the talks about Bitcoin last 2017. Bought and stocked mine, though I also "bear-ed" as well after the bubble, missed some small bubbles along the way that looked like a good opportunity to trade. But still, I'm hoping that the future is bright and opportunity and history will and will repeat itself. I still believe it was the right call to hold. Heck, I might buy again with the current price and just stock more.
36  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How can I start earning BTC? on: December 16, 2019, 04:59:02 PM
Not actually new/beginner I've been here since 2017 I think and stopped around midyear last year(August 2018) and just got back. Many things happened to me which is why I need to stop posting. Altcoins were a trend before and had my fair share of experiencing managing and translating campaigns that God knows what happened to them (haven't really read posts about them, will do tomorrow or whenever to catch up). Nonetheless, I think I earned a few BTC before through signature campaign and I must say, I think that's the so-so thing you could start with. And as far as I know getting into one is really tough, build your reputation as you go through trial and errow (will build mine again as well).
37  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Posts of Old vs Posts of New on: April 09, 2019, 05:22:55 PM
Just to clarify things, not all of the hero/legendary members are good at posting or creating good topics, some of them are just focusing on business. So there's a lot of newbies who think it's a good thing to do some one-liner posts. Being fair with each other is a good factor to have a pleasant community, higher-ups can make one-liner posts without being questioned while newbies are being questioned and sometimes receiving red trust without any warnings. I'm not saying that focusing on a business is a bad thing, I don't have any problems with that. I also agree to that scenario where newbies are just focusing on bounties and doing shitposts to finish the bounty, they're the one should receive red trust here.
38  Other / Meta / Re: Would this be considered spamming? on: April 09, 2019, 05:16:16 PM
Aside from what coinlocket$ said, that Enjoy_My_Accounts sell illegal stuffs, I don't see any vioaltions from his actions. Yes ! I admit that what he did is somhow irritating (not ethical) on our eyes but we can't do anything about it, it's his own business. Maybe the least thing we can do is advice him to set schedules for bumping his  threads. For me bumping once a day is not necessary, once every 3-5 days works fine.

Probably, you can see a lot of similar services in the Services Section, I don't see it as illegal as long as they provide the subscription to the buyer, it's fine. It's her/his business, we should check the credibility of his/her service rather than having doubts and questioning someone based on the price.

Bumping a thread is normal especially when someone is having a business, I don't it's considered as spamming, just follow the rule of bumping once per 24 hrs.

40  Local / Pamilihan / Re: [GUIDE] Basics sa bounty management on: July 17, 2018, 07:35:21 AM
