1041  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Scammer warning: Don't buy from MiningHardware.co.uk on: January 29, 2014, 10:27:18 PM
Do not buy anything from MiningHardware.co.uk. They are a scammer.

1) There miner can't hash the speed they claimed. Which is 200 - 230 GH. They can only get to 180 GH.

2) Someone I know purchased 2 miners from them, he didn't tamper or open the case or do any form of modification. But MiningHardware.co.uk accused him of tampering and have void the warranty. How can the warranty be void? If it was never tamper with.

3) The miner carry a health and safety risk. They can harm your ear drums if stay in the same room longer than 1 hour.

4) MiningHardware.co.uk will be reported to the Trading Standard Institute, ASA, the Police and Custom.

5) MiningHardware.co.uk have been importing their mining as broken second hand pc. This is not true, so they are breaking the law.

Stay away from NineLives, as he is the owner of MiningHardware.co.uk.

They will not refund you, even when their miner don't meet the description of the miner, also when they are DOA.

1) You haven't tuned it, have you?

2) Citation Needed

3) Doubt it.  A few 120mm fans won't make you deaf, unless you stick your ear in it.

4) Good luck with that one.  Cheesy

5) That's great, stick it to the man!

The main problem is you're a muppet and don't know what it is you're buying.  All the Chinese Avalon clones are similar.  The videos on his site show you what the machines are like.

Is the driver for the Technobit HEX16A2 20GH Avalon board gone in to cgminer mainstream, or would I have to rely on a patched version of cgminer?

Bonus question, if it is mainstream, can I also run a Bitburner Fury alongside (which is a Bitfury based board pretending to be an Avalon)?
1043  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Re: Aliexpress on: January 29, 2014, 10:03:59 AM
i just had a bad experience w/sinosigma. legit seller but no commitment to shipping timeframe.

I'm confused why you expect anything different during a two week national holiday in China?

What are the dates of that holiday? Some say it starts on 31st Jan, others say it started already?

Yeah, you have to account for the few days for the shippers to get stuff moved, so I think most places were taking last Friday as the last shipping day.  I don't think things get back in to action again until 10th Feb.

So, really, AliExpress is exactly the same as eBay then?
1046  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: Teamviewer question on: January 24, 2014, 05:14:32 PM
LogMeIn was good until they turned in to bastards and pulled the free version without any warning a few days ago.

They gave me 7 days warning.  No email though.

I got an email on 1st to say they were pulling the plug on 21st.  The warning on the login page wasn't there on the 20th.
1047  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: Running cgminer on ald P4 with 512 MB RAM on: January 24, 2014, 05:13:01 PM
I'd go through network with 3 Antminer S1

You don't need any PC for those (except for setting them up, but you could so that on anything with a web browser).
1048  Other / Meta / Re: End of newbie restrictions; ban changes on: January 24, 2014, 05:11:04 PM
What the frig?  When is this shit going to end?  This forum is going to hell in a hand cart with all these frigging newbie morons asking stupid frigging questions everywhere.

RIDICULOUS IDEA.

I don't even know why I am arguing with you guys it's pointless. Just wait for me to post videos as soon as I get it and if I am right u all will feel real stupid.

Most of us can't understand your dyslexic (or just plain stupid) gibberish.  Learn to type and spell and maybe people might take notice.

Why would someone emerge it into oil, Why not use antifreeze? Cheesy

Antifreeze is mostly water, so is electrically conductive.  Oil is not electrically conductive.

DERP.
1053  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Re: Announcing NEW 3TH/s and 5TH/s 20nm Bitcoin Miners on: January 24, 2014, 08:58:19 AM
I'm wondering why a UK company is 'selling' items with dollar prices?  That alone makes no sense.

Scam alert, scam alert, whoop whoop, scam alert!
1054  Economy / Goods / Re: Bitcoin miner's real time monitor on: January 24, 2014, 08:41:17 AM
You can do similar with a RaspPi with an Adafruit LCD screen, AND it'll run your miners for you for a lot less than BTC0.3.  Or am I missing something?
1055  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: eloipool help on: January 24, 2014, 08:15:22 AM
You're not the first person I've said this to, and you won't be the last.  If you can't see from the code how it's supposed to work, then you shouldn't be trying to run it.

It's not a double-click and run program.  It's more a framework you have to build a pool around.
1056  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: Help setting up stratum on: January 23, 2014, 04:37:02 PM
Err...the username you set up in the coin demon.  The names of the variables kinda give it away.

Same problem with a CX750 here.  Solution was to use an elcheapo OCZ 600W.
1058  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Re: Scrypt ASIC / SHA-256 combo miners Pics details on: January 23, 2014, 09:48:26 AM
So...a fabled LTC/BTC mining device sent from China 'at the weekend'?

- A device that no-one has heard of before, and is probably impossible because ASICs don't work that way.
- A device that can't have any power circuitry in that tiny package, especially anything that uses 600W.
- A device in a tiny package that needs to dissipate 600W of heat.  The heat sink of an Avalon Blade has to dissipate 600W and it's 6" high and 18" long at least.
- China is basically closed down for holidays from today, so there'll be nothing shipping 'at the weekend'.

Terrible scam, photoshop pics and didn't even do any research.

FAIL.
1059  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: Free Gatework Stratum Proxy. on: January 23, 2014, 08:23:35 AM
It's GETWORK.

HTH.

Gatework is the thing security men do to let visitors in to Mafia compounds.

If you "HAVE" to use CGminer,( LOL ) then you need to specify each type of miner with the required arguments.

Why's it LOL?   Huh  I HAVE to run cgminer because bfgminer doesn't support my Bitburner Fury.  That one board makes up nearly 1/3 of my hashing speed, but I can't run it off bfgminer.  So, I run cgminer off a BeagleBone Black, and the other 100GH runs off a PC running bfgminer (I only run a PC because my hubs are USB3 and none of my ARM machines play happily with the USB3 hub).
