Its not wallet, its gexp, and wallet will automatically download and install it if you ask
2222  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Custom RAM Timings for GPU's with GDDR5 - DOWNLOAD LINKS - UPDATED on: July 25, 2018, 08:12:21 PM

i do use thermal pads (these are quite good) https://www.aliexpress.com/item/ARSYLID-High-quality-100-200-1-0-2-0-4-5mm-Thermal-conductivity-3-6W-CPU/32835108024.html?spm=a2g0s.9042311.0.0.4fd54c4d3E82Yb
0.5 mm or 1 mm and a copper shim, 1 mm thick or more https://www.aliexpress.com/item/20-pcs-15mmx15mm-0-3mm-0-4mm-0-5mm-0-6mm-0-8mm-1mm-Heatsink-Copper/32826278552.html?spm=a2g0s.9042311.0.0.3dbd4c4dpaqYyI
I experiment with the thicknesses so that the stock heatsink presses the shim and the pad slightly without being thicker than the processor height (been there done that, and the GPU fan was squealing Smiley ) the more spacious the copper shims the better, however, i do this on rough estimates, that the memory die consumes 1-2 watts each (reasonable?) the shims not touching the aluminum directly is not a big problem, because copper blown by the gpu fan imho is more than sufficient to cool the memory. Most of the Aorus 580s i have memory cooled from the factory reach 2100-2200mhz (8 gb, 4gb all of them hynix) i found thermal pads being 0.5 mm and perfectly matched with the heatsink, but, as a consequence of mining these pads will dry within months (become brittle)

Do you really clock those elpidas to these clocks? lol? how do you cool them? what sort of timings for such clocks!?

Micron and micron-elpida are quite a different story, both in timings and max clock.

Also, your estimate about memory chips power consumption is way too low,

"RX 480 uses 40-50W for its 8GB"

Source:

https://www.gamersnexus.net/guides/3032-vega-56-cost-of-hbm2-and-necessity-to-use-it

So for 8GB cards almost half the consumption goes to memory chips

D9SXD. Apparently is a 7Gbps IC

Same as mine that goes up to 2300...but to go that high, cooling should be made
in such way that metal plate covers not only GPU, but memory, too (and replacing
usually bad factory thermal paste with quality one)

However, 2100 should be easy to achieve

Also, important is to find sweet spot between voltage and temperature (voltage increase
improves stability, but only up to the point where increased heat starts to be a problem)
2224  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Custom RAM Timings for GPU's with GDDR5 - DOWNLOAD LINKS - UPDATED on: July 24, 2018, 01:08:27 PM
Well, Samsung, Elpida, Hynix, all of them is fine.

But I bought a RX470 that is making me to lose the hair (lol). Apparently it comes with a Micron low clock ICs. It doesn't run at 2000+ even with loose timings. With reasonable timings, I can run without issues between 1900 and 1930, but I can only reach 910H/s CN-V7 and 1000H/s CN-Heavy/Haven (at 1150/1920). Isn't a powerful result, right?

Wich timings I have to reduce/increase to improve performance in CN variants (maybe Ethash, but isn't the focus), considering the clock is a hard limitation? I have a little list, but I think is far from a complete list:
ACTRD/ACTWR, RASMACTRD/WR, TRCRD/A

But I'm not getting conclusive results. Is a painful pleasure to optimise it.

Is there another timing that I'm forgotting to change?

It would be nice to know exactly which micron is that, I have 1750MHz variant on my RX560s, and
no trouble to go over 2100, and even 2300 with loose timings
2225  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: BTC back to $6000 ? on: July 24, 2018, 10:50:55 AM
I don't think we will fall below 6k again, I was happy to buy at 5.8k and think this was the bottom
bitcoin rises quickly at $ 8000, it's amazing and the community is certainly very happy,
maybe bitcoin will get to 10000 $ easily later

How much time it has to stay above 8k before we declare its not another bulltrap?  Grin

what kind of ROIs are you getting with the miners?I need a new thing to invest in and sia mining have been recommended to me

By "miners" you mean ASICs, or renting HDD space?
Last time I checked ASICs didn't look like too good ROI (Obelisk doesn't even
seem worth the electricity, not sure what SIA plans to solve that, as I didn't have
time to track development closely)
2228  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore's Dual Ethereum AMD+NVIDIA GPU Miner v11.9 (Windows/Linux) on: July 24, 2018, 08:00:29 AM
I didn't try to dual mining for a while, what coins are profitable these days as secondary?

There are none, since most of the dual mineable coins are basically GPU compute there was an ASIC released pretty much for all of them.

Even if you are mining at work and got free power its not even worth it then because each GPU will consume about 30-40 watts more power and will run hotter and emit much more heat. Not worth it to make a few pennies a day.

Back in June 2017, you could of made over $2 alone on SC just by dual mining it, not including the $7 daily ETH profits.

I know, I tried most of them but around New Year ASICS killed em all...now I see people mention
those Keccak based ones, but whattomine calculator doesn't even have that algo mentioned

Now is the right time to fill the bags again...SIA is one of rare crpyto projects with real development
going on (with some hiccups down the road, but it still has to show something, unlike, lets say, MCO)

I think this coin is dead. Digibyte is to moon siacoin is to grave

https://www.forexnewsnow.com/forex-analysis/cryptocurrency/siacoin-analysis-way-zero/

Digibyte seems like pump and dump coin...whats its purpose beside trade?

Contrary, SIA has real use case

Sorry man you are wrong. Digibyte is one of the oldest and longest chain in crypto world. There was a time when Digibyte price was equal to Siacoin, but just compare the price now. The main reason is Digibyte has MaxSupply but this crap dont have any MaxSupply. They do have good use case but price is intentionally on cheaper side because its purpose is to rent space cheaper than other cloud technologies.

NB: I dont own any Digibyte but have 30K Siacoins. I do regret to invest in this crypto.

There is no fixed price for renting (fixed in sia coins, that is) so price in BTC or $$$ is totally unrelated...if rent cost you $1, you can pay it with 1 SC
if SC price is $1, or with 100 SC if SC price is $0.01
2231  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Bounties (Altcoins) / Re: ANN [AMBASSADOR PROGRAM] Essentia-Create Your Decentralized Life on: July 24, 2018, 06:22:40 AM
Got a reward for bounty. To be honest, it is disappointed, because for such a long time to earn $ 80 this is very little.
I also get a token around $ 7 from facebook campaign, it is very regrettable indeed, but this is final
I hope dev work harder to be able to raise the price tokesn ESS, because the price of $ 0.017 short of expectations

Like with many other things, essentia team was ambiguous with bounty amount, I (and few other people) expected
1.2% reward from max coin supply, but in the end it was mere 0.4%

2234  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum, Ripple or Litecoin? on: July 23, 2018, 10:52:23 AM
What is the best choice regarding investing in these coins? Lately I have sold my Ethereum and now I am waiting for the right moment to buy them again, but shall I also buy Ripple and Litecoin?

Ethereum, all the way! Ripple's technology is great but, XRP token created to deceive newcomers and get their money...

No, that would be Bitcoin...BTC is used by whales to take noobs money and buy altcoints with it...XRP is simply not
known enough...just check those scam advertisements, its always "Steve bought 1000 BTC in 2009 for 1 USD
and is now rich man", noone tries to lure noobs into crypto using XRP  Grin

tnx for reply Smiley . I tried and work great ( 460 570 480 )

hi guys.with adrenalin driver,  RX 4 series and RX 5 series work contemporany on same rig?

Yes. The Adrenaline drivers work for all GCN architecture cards, from Southern Islands cards through Vega.

You can always click "Supported products" on this link

https://support.amd.com/en-us/download/desktop?os=Windows+10+-+64

and check for yourself...sooner or later support will drop, but RX4 and RX5 will probably
be supported for few more years

This question will probably be answered in December, if not earlier. Time is coming where
reaching (or missing) development goals will replace speculation

Is there a general statement of Expanse regarding ASICs, PoW, possible consensus changes and so on? I am not familiar with the current PoW algo, does it have ASICs? It doesn't look like it's Ethash, or is it?

Yes, its ethash, and current known ASICs are not that great to take GPUs out of game. There were also some comments about
changing algo in Expanse discord channel.

2239  Local / Altcoins (Hrvatski) / Re: Preporuke grafičkih za Rig od 2 GPU on: July 22, 2018, 05:39:10 PM
Ja već dulje vrijeme razmišljam uzeti sad još jednu nVidiu ili ipak pričekati tu novu generaciju jer će onda cijene dosta pasti. Mislim si da bi GTX1070 mogao dobiti za nekih 2.500 kn. Kad sam radio ovaj rig, toliko sam plaćao GTX1060 6GB.

To ispada oko $6.

umjesto kartice kupiti direktno coine?
