2661  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XRP] Ripple Speculation on: May 01, 2018, 08:26:19 AM
Ripple is a different story. Ripple is a great company but their business model is evolving to not include the XRP token in it. It is become more and more worthless by the day. Banks actually want nothing to do with XRP. They want xCurrent which is a different technology than xRapid which is what XRP is built on. As of now XRP has been adopted by no one.

...luckily for BTC, because when that happens, prepare for new #1
2662  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XRP] Ripple Speculation on: April 30, 2018, 05:50:44 PM
The XRP is now slowly moving closer to a higher position and waiting to be there for long periods of time.
forecasts about Ripple not happy, very soon they defrost another 5 million tokens, I do not think that this will have a positive impact on the price of the coin.

I thought it was going to be billions of XRP scheduled over several months, but this is one of the problems it has always had. First that the supply was so high, so millions do nothing to the price, and second that it was never certain how much developers held and exactly how they would freeze and release them. Every time I try to keep up, it seems this has changed all the time. Not that I am really bothered. My XRP is just for profit. Waiting for ATH return is all.

Bitcoin has much lesser supply, and millions do even less for its price...how your math explains that?
2663  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XRP] Ripple Speculation on: April 30, 2018, 05:31:53 PM

So it is true that the team are burning 25k of Ripples everyday?

Surprise after seeing these information from the people who are sticking in facebook XRP group, there seem to have a lot of people talking about XRP there which is why I checked them. I can't find any links about the announcement about these.

XRP is burned by doing transactions...whatever fee is paid, it get burned

You can check here:

http://www.turfpool.com/ripple-burn-rate

If XRP starts to be used by big financial institutions, burn rate will accelerate
Still expectations and nothing has been done yet, if only this coin really adopted by banks and it will be use in a daily purpose, then it will
gain really a big success after, though it's gaining its momentum again but the expected rise to the moon are still in question, better to
keep  an eye on it and just hold if you already have some coins or buy then wait for the peak.

let me give you an example: back in 1995 I was programmer in a bank...we made retail banking software that is still in use today,
with few transactions changed or added here and there, but on same technology...thats 23 years...banks are THAT conservative
about new technologies

5 million? Actually, its a billion per month...although, 0 out of that can be sold, same as whole billion, its up to buyers.
If they don't sell, they go back to escrow for another 5 years

Where do you people pull those numbers from, lol...so many people seem to really not know what they're talking about.

2666  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Is Ripple Going To Reach 10,000$ By 2020? on: April 30, 2018, 03:59:13 PM
I think that this will not happen, even considering its applications in the banking sector. Because, firstly, Ripple does not even have a crypto currency and its pricing takes place in a different scenario. Secondly, more than 60 billion units of Ripple is stored by developers, which one day will cause the collapse of the price.

Obviously, you know nothing about those 60 billion, but that doesn't prevent you to babble about them
2667  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Is Ripple Going To Reach 10,000$ By 2020? on: April 30, 2018, 01:05:39 PM

I don't like the coin personally, full of misunderstood traders thinking banks will use the public tokens, they use a private supply on a private network, I don't see a use for it as a token, it's also highly centralised.

Private supply of WHAT?

Private network? What private network?

xCurrent is the products banks use for transfers, xCurrent does not use XRP, XRP is what you're buying, it supports fiat transfers which is what the banks are interested in
xRapid is a product they've made for banks so they can liquidate their money in to XRP, no banks are interested in it, it's far too volatile, they would rather stick with bonds.

Tests have been done with xRapid using a private supply/non circulating supply, banks are not buying the public XRP to even test it.

All of the banking hype you hear about Ripple is from banks using xCurrent for fiat transfers.

The key cost decision to a bank becomes, "Which one cost less? Deploying trillions in float to many countries, -or- holding some XRP and paying to maintain an offsetting hedge position?"

Time will tell, I guess

Currently, I think four clients use xRapid: MoneyGram, Mercury FX, IDT and Cuallix.

2669  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [ETC] Ethereum Classic: Immutable Smart Contracts on: April 30, 2018, 08:42:48 AM
why do people use Ethereum Classic. Why is this token good? I do not own this token. but surely someone can explain why we should buy this Classic. What can I buy with Classic in the store  ;)or is classic only bought because the price goes up

ETC is not a token

Whenever I see this topic, I ask myself "how OP does feel now about his question"?  Cheesy

Wha? Its not 2020 yet!
2672  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Invest in Litecoin on: April 29, 2018, 01:13:27 PM
I have invested in Litecoin and I hope you do too, price is expected to rise rapidly by next week for Litecoin.

Litecoin is a sleeping giant and the current trend of normal and it hasn't bounced back to its original price which it achieved February. I think this coin has to show its growth and potential bit more than what is expected to sustain in the crypto market and to compete with its rivals. Litecoin is always in the top 10 coins in the listings by major crypto market analysts.
recently this coin did not come out of the rating and I hope that in the near future it will remain in the top ten. But still there are more promising coins for today. Without much risk, you can invest in the etherium.

I'd even dare to say that out of top 10 coins, LTC is the most risky one
2673  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ICO][ERISTICA] - P2P Challenge Platform | First ICO in FunTech ✔ on: April 29, 2018, 09:33:47 AM
if Eristica Team worked as ODEM [ODE] token team had done then Eristica will make hype of their product, but Unfortunately i have invested such lazy project, which work out of the market situations and roadmap.

you can check ODEM token which is very close present of eristica.

https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/odem/

Well, seeing their timeframe one could conclude that they're really much faster at doing
everything than Eristica team

But what do you mean by "close present"...I guess similar timeframe on market?
Because their token is not targeting same market as Eristica
2674  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Expanse (EXP) - 1st Stable fork of Ethereum on: April 29, 2018, 09:30:45 AM
Expanse is just like ETH or what? The presentation of itself is kind of vague and the problems it intends on solving.

As I see it, its a fork of ETH and everything you can do on ETH network, you can do here too, with some minor differences
2675  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XRP] Ripple Speculation on: April 28, 2018, 08:41:54 PM
Snoop Dogg to Perform at Ripple's Blockchain Week NYC Party. Distributed ledger startup Ripple is hosting a VIP gathering featuring Snoop Dogg, and will be giving away 10 tickets to the event on Twitter.
Being a centralized market they are lobbying people to attract more investors, there are many projects lining up and hopefully some of the major companies will use its platform in the long run, but the problem i am encountering is that why is there a drive in the price of ripple even with all the positive news surrounding it, while some the coins start rallying on hear a partial positive news and that is not seen in ripple.

You mean " but the problem i am encountering is that why is there a NO drive in the price of ripple even with all the positive news surrounding it", maybe?

2677  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XRP] Ripple Speculation on: April 28, 2018, 07:11:01 PM
There were lots of banks and other big financial companies interested on testing Ripple's platform but did any of them did seal any deals to use the xrp tokens? I have some xrp left since 2016 as I was just leaving it long term.
But personally I do not trust the ripple as much as I believe in ETH. I think they are a bubble, brittle, although the ripple is the third largest in the market for capitalization, but because they release so much coin it is possible to reach that level of capital.

What prevents you to make coin with 1000 times more coins, and reach even bigger market cap, because obviously thats the only thing needed
to be 3rd ranked crypto
2678  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Sia - Decentralized Storage on: April 27, 2018, 06:49:46 PM

Banks are notoriously conservative, but once some of them start to use Ripple, we'll see avalanche effect...they won't be able to charge $30
for transfer when other bank charges $0.3

Whats the roadmap got to do with listing?

Its been too dead here, losing faith in tokenlab. Their twitter just retweets expanse stuff, nothing on their own progress. Any new listings on Tokenlab? When is the software ready to be used?

As he told you, cryptobridge postponed LAB listing in their roadmap...and I gave you link of another exchange that already listed lab...what
more do you want, Binance?
