Yesterday did some BIOS fixing on someone elses RX550s (first time worked on RX550s, btw) 12.9-13.5MH/s which surprised me because they have below official spec memory chips onboard (1500MHz micron)

Did you make another thread, or just forgot about all this?

I am feeling this a very good project. Your company team members are looking very good and strong
Scotii actually regularly go to strongman contests

It seems BTC is finally somewhat recovered from Venezuelan attack

Interesting article - I'd never heard of this particular method. I was familiar with Minereum but it looks to be slightly more expensive to go that route unless you're a genesis address holder and have some to burn.
Honestly, there's probably too many crap ERC20 tokens as it is. I guess the current bear market is a good way of weeding through those, though.
Of course that there are too many...but that doesn't mean if you have great idea that you should give up...even ordinary non-crypto startups succeed at 1 to 10 rate maybe Recent jump to $5.5 ethereum transaction fee shows how much better is to use EXP with both faster speed and only 0.5 cents fee (1100 times cheaper)

Currently there is no cap on the number of Siacoins that are or will be available. what is the logic behind that?
Logic is that it would get burned by usage...and we're probably far from the moment when burn rate comes close or even surpass mining rate That is, the price will fall if you think economically. Increasing the number of coins in circulation without strong market growth and increasing the number of investors and users leads to the fact that in a few months it will be more profitable to buy than now? We can't know anything for sure...next day Netflix could decide to run on SC and we all become millionaires Chances are slim, of course, but most crypto are at similar stage

I don't think so .I am not sure if SHIFT will become top 10..maybe not but it will gain a nice profit. Don't be sad.. you have now a very promising coin in your portfolio and chance to buy more. In only some weeks they will release a new website and a new roadmap and also the newest version of Phantom. Hodl can be better.
8 more weeks passed...

hmmmm.... my point is...IF THERE IS NO NETWORK FOR THE ASIC's when they arrive..then there is no sia-tech vision and decentralized network that can work
(according to them they needed asic's for this to work) ...so if that is the case...they just flat out lied...took the BTC and this is a long con...
IF they have a network in place...even if the ASIC's only make enough to take care of electric (even on paper and the miner's HODL) then it will gain steam..
my point is you can't have it both ways and say
1) the price of siacoin does not matter in that it is based on scarcity (now no asic's) and the potential viewpoint of a network (not in place as they said it would be)
or
2) the ASIC folk investing in your equipment *upfront* on a promise that the network you have a vision for is in place..thus again ... no way forward that way either
so if you have the ASIC network go up you have then proved your decentralized vision for storage exists...if NO ASIC's up then sia-tech proves it either was a scam
to sell equipment ...or that they can't follow through on the vision..thus either 1) or 2) when the ASIC's hit the world from Obelisk..means this coin goes no place.
IF again, they have a working network and the ASIC's plug in to such and thru such a promotion the promise is kept..then folk will buy into this storage
solution and it all works..but without that ...anyone wanting to use this service just sees the ASIC fail and back to GPU miners and they walk...
again, you promise something and don't deliver ..there are consequences
yeah, greedy miner indeed....not even talking about ROI at this point...just talking about enough electric (on paper even if I HODL) to justify turning them on
with no one saying anything about ASIC incorporation into the sia-tech network in 2 weeks when 'supposedly' the units arrive...wtf am I supposed to think?
brad
Too many words too many times to say something so simple: you took a gamble buying Obelisk...you lost...life is not fair

I also agree with you and clearly, Bitcoin is currently experiencing a serious problem, where the scalability problem can not be solved yet. The problem of scalability is not only impact on the slow process of the transaction, but also on the cost of swelling will be more expensive. Some of the Hard Forks planned to solve the Bitcoin scalability problem also have not been realized. If this problem does not get serious handling, there could be a buildup of network loads, so Bitcoin's Blockchain network can not handle transactions anymore. from here Litecoin (LTC) has the opportunity to "shine". Because the problem of scalability is not possible, because Blocksize (Block size) owned by Platform Litecoin is 8 MB, or 8 times larger than Blockitze owned Bitcoin. the Bitcoin platform is currently only capable of handling 3 to 7 transactions per second, so it is clear that if Bitcoin transactions reach billions or even trillions, the transaction settlement and validation process will be very slow. Unlike Litecoin that is capable of handling more than 1,500 transactions per second. This opens a great opportunity for Litecoin to be able to compete with Bitcoin in the future, regardless of its function as an Investment or Payment System.
Litecoin cryptocurrency such as Bitcoin, but is issued on a completely different protocol. It was conceived to do something pure digital money. Litecoin uses a script algorithm - Called originally as s-crypt, but pronounced as 'script'. Manuscripts favors large amounts of high-speed RAM, can be used only. The result of the chic script as 'a difficult memory problem'. litecoin algorithm will allow for a total of 84 million Litecoin to be made. The maximum given this time is greater than Bitcoin, reflecting the level four times faster than the transaction confirmation. This time difference can make litecoin more attractive to traders. Although 64.73 percent of litecoin units have spread, the opposite is faster than Bitcoin because while Bitcoin is in the SHA-256 algorithm, Litecoin uses relatively new scrypt. SHA-256 is more complicated, requiring a higher level than uncomplicated scrypt. Since Lee intended for litecoin to dilemma by people every day, he made sure for an algorithm to be more convenient to run. If making litecoin is easier to take for ordinary people. Sounds like badly google-translated article from 2012...its 2018 now

Hey guys, so the last ripple thread got closed down and since there aren't any new ones I decided to make one on my own.
I got around 126 ripple at the moment and I'm just wondering if they will turn me into a millionaire in the next two years.
I personally believe that they will and that anyone reading this should invest into ripple.
*NOT AN EXPERT, RESEARCH YOURSELF BEFORE BUYING ANYTHING*
After all, you cannot beat the banks. They will buy all the ripple and they will pay whatever amount is needed just to get the technology for themselves. This means that getting in now, at a dollar, is a bargain as the more banks get interested in ripple and buying it, the more the demand for it will grow and the prices will shoot up crazy!
We watched it go from 0.19 to almost 5$ in the span of just a few weeks, I don't see why bigger growth isn't possible and don't tell me about the market cap- people were bickering about it on a dollar and ripple dumpstered it without any issues.
Please discuss and remain civil while doing it.
If you are really a fanatic of ripple, the real price of Ripple is only $1. $1 and $1 only, as it is a substitute to Fiat currencies, and banks can't use it if it is too expensive, or volatile. Ripple is meant to replace USDT, or any other type. $1 would be way too low for that...if XRP is to replace money held in nostro and vostro accounts, real XRP price would be around $300...also, you forget that 100bn is max xupply, and its burned all the time http://www.turfpool.com/ripple-burn-rate

Why is the cryptocurrency ripple so cheap and has a lot of circulating tokens but so high ranking on coinmarketcap.com?
Because x*y=z, obviously
